ਜੀਇ ਸਮਾਲੀ ਤਾ ਸਭੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਲਥਾ ॥
jee-ay samaalee taa sabh dukh lathaa.
When I enshrine God’s Name in my heart, then all my sorrow disappears.
ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਚਿੰਤਾ ਰੋਗੁ ਗਈ ਹਉ ਪੀੜਾ ਆਪਿ ਕਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
chintaa rog ga-ee ha-o peerhaa aap karay partipaalaa jee-o. ||2||
The malady of worry and the pain of ego has departed from within me, because God Himself now protects me ||2||
ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਦਾ ਰੋਗ, ਹਉਮੈ ਦਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਚਿੰਤਾ ਹਉਮੈ ਆਦਿਕ ਤੋਂ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਮੇਰੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਬਾਰਿਕ ਵਾਂਗੀ ਹਉ ਸਭ ਕਿਛੁ ਮੰਗਾ ॥
baarik vaaNgee ha-o sabh kichh mangaa.
Like a child, I ask Him for everything.
ਮੈਂ ਅੰਞਾਣੇ ਬਾਲ ਵਾਂਗ ਹਰੇਕ ਚੀਜ਼ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
ਦੇਦੇ ਤੋਟਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਰੰਗਾ ॥
dayday tot naahee parabh rangaa.
By conferring gifts on me, God’s stores do not fall short.
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਕਮੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਾਪਰਦੀ।
ਪੈਰੀ ਪੈ ਪੈ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਮਨਾਈ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਗੋਪਾਲਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
pairee pai pai bahut manaa-ee deen da-i-aal gopaalaa jee-o. ||3||
God is merciful to the meek and sustainer of the world . Again and again I fall at His feet (ask for His forgiveness) to please Him.||3||
ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਢਹਿ ਢਹਿ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਨਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੩॥
ਹਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ॥
ha-o balihaaree satgur pooray.
I dedicate myself to the perfect true Guru,
ਮੈਂ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
ਜਿਨਿ ਬੰਧਨ ਕਾਟੇ ਸਗਲੇ ਮੇਰੇ ॥
jin banDhan kaatay saglay mayray.
who has cut off all my bonds of Maya.
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਤੋੜ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਕੀਏ ਨਾਨਕ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਸਾਲਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੮॥੧੫॥
hirdai naam day nirmal kee-ay naanak rang rasaalaa jee-o. ||4||8||15||
O’ Nanak, those whom the Guru has rendered pure by instilling Naam in their heart, are imbued with God’s love and they become drenched with spiritual joy.||4||8||15||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੪॥੮॥੧੫॥

ਰਾਗ ਮਾਝ, ਪੰਜਵੀਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ।
ਲਾਲ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਦਇਆਲ ਰੰਗੀਲੇ ॥
laal gopaal da-i-aal rangeelay.
O’ beloved God, Sustainer of the World, Merciful, Source of Bliss,
ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੇ ਰਾਖੇ! ਹੇ ਦਇਆ ਦੇ ਘਰ! ਹੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਦੇ ਸੋਮੇ!
ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਗੋਵਿੰਦੇ ॥
gahir gambheer bay-ant govinday.
Unfathomable, Profoundly Deep, Infinite Master,
ਹੇ ਡੂੰਘੇ ਤੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਜਿਗਰ ਵਾਲੇ! ਹੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ!
ਊਚ ਅਥਾਹ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਹਉ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
ooch athaah bay-ant su-aamee simar simar ha-o jeevaaN jee-o. ||1||
O’ the highest of the high, infinite God, I spiritually live by remembering Your Name with loving devotion. ||1||
ਹੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਅਥਾਹ ਤੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥
ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਅਮੋਲੇ ॥
dukh bhanjan niDhaan amolay.
O’ Destroyer of sorrow, O’ Priceless Treasure,
ਹੇ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ) ਦੁੱਖ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ! ਹੇ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ!
ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰ ਅਥਾਹ ਅਤੋਲੇ ॥
nirbha-o nirvair athaah atolay.
O’ Fearless, free of hate, Unfathomable, infinite God,
ਹੇ ਨਿਡਰ ਨਿਰਵੈਰ ਅਥਾਹ ਤੇ ਅਤੋਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!
ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੰਭੌ ਮਨ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਠੰਢਾ ਥੀਵਾਂ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
akaal moorat ajoonee sambhou man simrat thandhaa theevaaN jee-o. ||2||
You are beyond birth and death. You are self-existent. By meditating on You, my mind becomes tranquil.||2||
ਤੇਰੀ ਹਸਤੀ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਜੂਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ, ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ। (ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਸਿਮਰ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਚਿੱਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੨॥
ਸਦਾ ਸੰਗੀ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗ ਗੋਪਾਲਾ ॥
sadaa sangee har rang gopaalaa.
The Joyous God, the world-cherisher, is always the companion of His creatures.
ਅਨੰਦੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਸਦਾ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਗ ਸੰਗ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਊਚ ਨੀਚ ਕਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਾ ॥
ooch neech karay partipaalaa.
He cherishes all the creatures whether of high or low status.
(ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਉੱਚੇ ਅਖਵਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੇ ਨੀਵੇਂ ਅਖਵਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਮੁ ਰਸਾਇਣੁ ਮਨੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਇਣੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਵਾਂ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
naam rasaa-in man tariptaa-in gurmukh amrit peevaaN jee-o. ||3||
The nectar of Naam satiates the mind from Maya. By following the Guru’s teachings, I keep partaking the Ambrosial Nectar of God’s Name ||3||
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਭ ਰਸਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ ਹੈ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ) ਮਨ ਨੂੰ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਵਲੋਂ) ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਮ ਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਪੀਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੩॥
ਦੁਖਿ ਸੁਖਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਤੁਧੁ ਧਿਆਈ ॥
dukh sukh pi-aaray tuDh Dhi-aa-ee.
O’ Beloved God, in suffering and in comfort, I meditate on You.
ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਦੁੱਖ ਵਿਚ (ਫਸਿਆ ਪਿਆ ਹੋਵਾਂ, ਚਾਹੇ) ਸੁਖ ਵਿਚ (ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਵਾਂ) ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਧਿਆਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
ਏਹ ਸੁਮਤਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇ ਪਾਈ ॥
ayh sumat guroo tay paa-ee.
I have obtained this sublime understanding from the Guru.
ਇਹ ਚੰਗੀ ਅਕਲ ਮੈਂ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਲਈ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਧਰ ਤੂੰਹੈ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰੀਵਾਂ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੯॥੧੬॥
naanak kee Dhar tooNhai thaakur har rang paar pareevaaN jee-o. ||4||9||16||
O’ Master, You are Nanak’s Support. Through Your Love alone I can swim across the world-ocean of vices .||4||9||16||
ਹੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ! ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ। ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੪॥੯॥੧੬॥

Raag Maajh, Fifth Guru:
ਧੰਨੁ ਸੁ ਵੇਲਾ ਜਿਤੁ ਮੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲਿਆ ॥
Dhan so vaylaa jit mai satgur mili-aa.
Blessed is that time when I meet the Guru.
(ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾ ਦਾ) ਉਹ ਵੇਲਾ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ (ਸਾਬਤ ਹੋਇਆ) ਜਿਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ।
ਸਫਲੁ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਨੇਤ੍ਰ ਪੇਖਤ ਤਰਿਆ ॥
safal darsan naytar paykhat tari-aa.
Meeting with the Guru was so fruitful that just on seeing him with my eyes, I felt as if I have crossed over the world-ocean of vices.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਫਲ-ਦਾਇਕ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਇਹਨਾਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
ਧੰਨੁ ਮੂਰਤ ਚਸੇ ਪਲ ਘੜੀਆ ਧੰਨਿ ਸੁ ਓਇ ਸੰਜੋਗਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
Dhan moorat chasay pal gharhee-aa Dhan so o-ay sanjogaa jee-o. ||1||
Blessed are those moments, minutes, hours, and blessed are all the occasions of meeting with the Guru||1||
(ਸੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਉਹ ਮੁਹੂਰਤ ਉਹ ਚਸੇ ਉਹ ਪਲ ਘੜੀਆਂ ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ-ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੇ ਸਮੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
ਉਦਮੁ ਕਰਤ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਆ ॥
udam karat man nirmal ho-aa.
By making the effort to meditate on Naam, my mind has become pure.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਸਿਮਰਨ-ਕਾਰ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਉੱਦਮ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਚਲਤ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਸਗਲਾ ਖੋਇਆ ॥
har maarag chalat bharam saglaa kho-i-aa.
Walking on the God’s Path of righteousness, my doubts have all been cast out.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਮੁੱਕ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ਮਿਟਿ ਗਏ ਸਗਲੇ ਰੋਗਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
naam niDhaan satguroo sunaa-i-aa mit ga-ay saglay rogaa jee-o. ||2||
The true Guru has told me about the precious virtues of Naam, and all my afflictions have been dispelled. ||2||
ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸੁਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ l ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਰੋਗ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਬਾਣੀ ॥
antar baahar tayree banee.
I am listening Your Divine Word both within and without.
(ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਅੰਦਰ ਬਾਹਰ (ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਦੇ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ l
ਤੁਧੁ ਆਪਿ ਕਥੀ ਤੈ ਆਪਿ ਵਖਾਣੀ ॥
tuDh aap kathee tai aap vakhaanee.
You Yourself are uttering and explaining the Divine Word through Your creation.
ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਰਾਹੀ ਕਥਨ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਵਖਿਆਨ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਗੁਰਿ ਕਹਿਆ ਸਭੁ ਏਕੋ ਏਕੋ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਇਗਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
gur kahi-aa sabh ayko ayko avar na ko-ee ho-igaa jee-o. ||3||
The Guru has told me that it is You and You alone, and there shall never be any other besides You. ||3||
ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਇਕ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਤੂੰ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇਰੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਦਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਨਾਹ ਹੋਇਆ, ਨਾਹ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਨਾਹ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ॥੩॥
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਰਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਪੀਆ ॥
amrit ras har gur tay pee-aa.
I have partaken the ambrosial nectar of God’s Name from the Guru.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਪੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਪੈਨਣੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਭੋਜਨੁ ਥੀਆ ॥
har painan naam bhojan thee-aa.
I am so absorbed in meditating on Naam that God’s Name has become my food and clothing.
ਹੁਣ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਖਾਣ-ਪੀਣ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੰਢਾਣ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਮਿ ਰੰਗ ਨਾਮਿ ਚੋਜ ਤਮਾਸੇ ਨਾਉ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀਨੇ ਭੋਗਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੧੦॥੧੭॥
naam rang naam choj tamaasay naa-o naanak keenay bhogaa jee-o. ||4||10||17||
O’ Nanak, God’s Name is my joy, entertainment, and pleasure and absorption in God’s Name has become my sole enjoyment. ||4||10||17||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜੇ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀਆਂ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜੇ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਰੰਗ-ਤਮਾਸ਼ੇ ਹਨ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਭੋਗ-ਬਿਲਾਸ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧੦॥੧੭॥

ਸਗਲ ਸੰਤਨ ਪਹਿ ਵਸਤੁ ਇਕ ਮਾਂਗਉ ॥
sagal santan peh vasat ik maaNga-o.
From all the saints, I ask for one blessing and that is nothing but Your Name.
ਤੇਰਾ ਭਜਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ-ਪਦਾਰਥ ਹੀ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ,
ਕਰਉ ਬਿਨੰਤੀ ਮਾਨੁ ਤਿਆਗਉ ॥
kara-o binantee maan ti-aaga-o.
And I offer my prayer to them so that I can get rid of my ego.
ਤੇ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ) ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ (ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਮੈਂ (ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਸਕਾਂ।
ਵਾਰਿ ਵਾਰਿ ਜਾਈ ਲਖ ਵਰੀਆ ਦੇਹੁ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੀ ਧੂਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
vaar vaar jaa-ee lakh varee-aa dayh santan kee Dhooraa jee-o. ||1||
O’ God, I dedicate myself forever to Your Saints, please, bless me with the dust of the saint’s feet (most humble service of the Saints).||1||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਵਾਰ (ਤੇਰੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਸਦਕੇ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ॥੧॥
ਤੁਮ ਦਾਤੇ ਤੁਮ ਪੁਰਖ ਬਿਧਾਤੇ ॥
tum daatay tum purakh biDhaatay.
O’ God, you are the creator of all beings, You pervade in all and You are the benefactor for all.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਤੁਮ ਸਮਰਥ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖਦਾਤੇ ॥
tum samrath sadaa sukh-daatay.
You are All-powerful, and the eternal bestower of Peace.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਸਭ ਕੋ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਤੇ ਵਰਸਾਵੈ ਅਉਸਰੁ ਕਰਹੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
sabh ko tum hee tay varsaavai a-osar karahu hamaaraa pooraa jee-o. ||2||
Everyone finds fulfillment of his desires from You. Please, make my human birth fruitful by blessing me with Your Name||2||
ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਹੀ ਮੁਰਾਦਾਂ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਮੈਂ ਭੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਇਹ ਮੰਗ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਦੇ ਕੇ) ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਦਾ ਸਮਾ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਕਰ ॥੨॥
ਦਰਸਨਿ ਤੇਰੈ ਭਵਨ ਪੁਨੀਤਾ ॥
darsan tayrai bhavan puneetaa.
O’ God, only those persons who have sanctified their heart with Your sight.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ) ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰਸਨ (ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ) ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰੀਰ-ਨਗਰ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਕਰ ਲਏ ਹਨ।
ਆਤਮ ਗੜੁ ਬਿਖਮੁ ਤਿਨਾ ਹੀ ਜੀਤਾ ॥
aatam garh bikham tinaa hee jeetaa.
They have conquered the invincible fortress (their mind) of self conceit.
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਔਖੇ ਮਨ-ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਤੁਮ ਦਾਤੇ ਤੁਮ ਪੁਰਖ ਬਿਧਾਤੇ ਤੁਧੁ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਸੂਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
tum daatay tum purakh biDhaatay tuDh jayvad avar na sooraa jee-o. ||3||
O’ God, you are the creator of all beings, You pervade in all and You are the benefactor for all, and no one is a brave warrior like You.||3||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਦਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇਰੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਦਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
