ਮੋਹਿ ਰੈਣਿ ਨ ਵਿਹਾਵੈ ਨੀਦ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਦੇਖੇ ਗੁਰ ਦਰਬਾਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
mohi rain na vihaavai need na aavai bin daykhay gur darbaaray jee-o. ||3||
O’ my Beloved. My nights do not pass. I cannot sleep without a sight of the Guru
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੇਰੀ (ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੀ) ਰਾਤ (ਸੌਖੀ) ਨਹੀਂ ਲੰਘਦੀ, ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ
ਹਉ ਘੋਲੀ ਜੀਉ ਘੋਲਿ ਘੁਮਾਈ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਚੇ ਗੁਰ ਦਰਬਾਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ha-o gholee jee-o ghol ghumaa-ee tis sachay gur darbaaray jee-o. ||1|| rahaa-o.
I, forever dedicate my life to my true Guru. ||1||Pause||
ਮੈਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਸਦਾ ਅਟੱਲ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ l
ਭਾਗੁ ਹੋਆ ਗੁਰਿ ਸੰਤੁ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ॥
bhaag ho-aa gur sant milaa-i-aa.
By good fortune, God has united me with the Saint Guru.
ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਗ ਜਾਗ ਪਏ ਹਨ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਾਧ ਸਰੂਪ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਘਰ ਮਹਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
parabh abhinaasee ghar meh paa-i-aa.
With the blessings of the Guru, I have realized the Immortal God within me.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ) ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਸੇਵ ਕਰੀ ਪਲੁ ਚਸਾ ਨ ਵਿਛੁੜਾ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਤੁਮਾਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥
sayv karee pal chasaa na vichhurhaa jan naanak daas tumaaray jee-o. ||4||
O’ God, Your devotee Nanak will serve (remember) You forever and shall never be separated from You even for an instant.||4||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ, ਤੇਰੀ ਘਾਲ ਕਮਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਛਿਨ ਤੇ ਮੂਹਤ ਲਈ ਭੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾਂ।
ਹਉ ਘੋਲੀ ਜੀਉ ਘੋਲਿ ਘੁਮਾਈ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਤੁਮਾਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥੧॥੮॥
ha-o gholee jee-o ghol ghumae jan nanak daas tumhare jee-o. rahaa-o. ||1||8||
O’ my Master, I dedicate myself to You, Nanak is your humble devotee ||Pause||1||8||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੜੀ ਸਦਕੇ ਹੈ ਤੇਰੇ ਉਤੋਂ। ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇਰਾ ਨੌਕਰ ਹੈ। ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Raag Maajh, Fifth Guru:
ਸਾ ਰੁਤਿ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਜਿਤੁ ਤੁਧੁ ਸਮਾਲੀ ॥
saa rut suhaavee jit tuDh samaalee.
O’ the Benefactor of all, blissfully pleasant is that season when I remember You.
ਹੇ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਾਤੇ! ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਉਹ ਸਮਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ਜਾਪਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸੋ ਕੰਮੁ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੀ ਘਾਲੀ ॥
so kamm suhaylaa jo tayree ghaalee.
O’ God, meditating on Your Name is the most sublime deed for me.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਕੰਮ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਉਹ ਕੰਮ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੁਖਾਵਾਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸੋ ਰਿਦਾ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ਜਿਤੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਤੂੰ ਵੁਠਾ ਸਭਨਾ ਕੇ ਦਾਤਾਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
so ridaa suhaylaa jit ridai tooN vuthaa sabhnaa kay daataaraa jee-o. ||1||
O’ God, blessed and tranquil is that heart in which You dwell ||1||
ਹੇ ਦਾਤਾਰ! ਜਿਸ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਤੂੰ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਉਹ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਠੰਢਾ-ਠਾਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਤੂੰ ਸਾਝਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਬਾਪੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥
tooN saajhaa saahib baap hamaaraa.
O’ God, the benefactor of all, you are the father of us all.
ਹੇ ਦਾਤਾਰ! ਤੂੰ ਸਾਡਾ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਉ ਹੈਂ (ਤੇ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈਂ)।
ਨਉ ਨਿਧਿ ਤੇਰੈ ਅਖੁਟ ਭੰਡਾਰਾ ॥
na-o niDh tayrai akhut bhandaaraa.
Your inexhaustible stockpiles are full of all the nine treasures of wealth.
ਤੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ (ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ) ਨੌ ਹੀ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹਨ, ਤੇਰੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਕਦੇ ਤੋਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ।
ਜਿਸੁ ਤੂੰ ਦੇਹਿ ਸੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਘਾਵੈ ਸੋਈ ਭਗਤੁ ਤੁਮਾਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
jis tooN deh so taripat aghaavai so-ee bhagat tumaaraa jee-o. ||2||
O’ God, whom You give your Naam become satiated and fulfilled with worldly desires, and he alone is considered Your true devotee. ||2||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਉਹ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਰੱਜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਉਹੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਗਤ (ਅਖਵਾ ਸਕਦਾ) ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਆਸੈ ਤੇਰੀ ਬੈਠਾ ॥
sabh ko aasai tayree baithaa.
O’ God, everyone has pinned his hope on You.
ਹੇ ਦਾਤਾਰ! ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਤੇਰੀ! (ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਦੀ) ਆਸ ਰੱਖੀ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੈ।
ਘਟ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਤੂੰਹੈ ਵੁਠਾ ॥
ghat ghat antar tooNhai vuthaa.
You dwell deep within each and every heart.
ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਸਭੇ ਸਾਝੀਵਾਲ ਸਦਾਇਨਿ ਤੂੰ ਕਿਸੈ ਨ ਦਿਸਹਿ ਬਾਹਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
sabhay saajheevaal sadaa-in tooN kisai na diseh baahraa jee-o. ||3||
All share in Your grace. You don’t appear stranger to anyone.||3||
ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਖਵਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਕੋਈ ਜੀਵ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ l ॥੩॥
ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਕਰਾਇਹਿ ॥
tooN aapay gurmukh mukat karaa-ihi.
O’ God, You Yourself liberate Guru’s followers from the bonds of Maya.
ਹੇ ਦਾਤਾਰ! ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਾ ਕੇ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਕਰਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ,
ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਜਨਮਿ ਭਵਾਇਹਿ ॥
tooN aapay manmukh janam bhavaa-ihi.
You Yourself consign the self-conceited persons to wander in cycle of birth and death.
ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਦਾ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚ ਭਵਾਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਤੇਰੈ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਸਭੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਖੇਲੁ ਦਸਾਹਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੨॥੯॥
naanak daas tayrai balihaarai sabh tayraa khayl dasaahraa jee-o. ||4||2||9||
O’ God, devotee Nanak is dedicated to You. All this creationis Your play and show, ||4||2||9||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਮੈਂ, ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ, ਤੈਥੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹਾਂ l ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਜਗਤ-ਰਚਨਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਤਮਾਸ਼ਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੨॥੯॥

Raag Maajh, Fifth Guru:
ਅਨਹਦੁ ਵਾਜੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ॥
anhad vaajai sahj suhaylaa.
Continuous melody of God’s praises intuitively rings within me and my mind is enjoying peace in a state of spiritual equipoise.
ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਵਾਜਾ ਵੱਜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਖੀ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਬਦਿ ਅਨੰਦ ਕਰੇ ਸਦ ਕੇਲਾ ॥
sabad anand karay sad kaylaa.
My mind always rejoices in the bliss of the divine word.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਤੇ ਰੰਗ ਮਾਣ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਹਜ ਗੁਫਾ ਮਹਿ ਤਾੜੀ ਲਾਈ ਆਸਣੁ ਊਚ ਸਵਾਰਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
sahj gufaa meh taarhee laa-ee aasan ooch savaari-aa jee-o. ||1||
In a state of spiritual equipoise, I am meditating in a trance with my mind focused on the highest embellished seat of the supreme Being.||1||
(ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ) ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ-ਰੂਪ ਗੁਫਾ ਵਿਚ ਮੈਂ ਸਮਾਧੀ ਲਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਫਿਰਿ ਘਿਰਿ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਮਹਿ ਆਇਆ ॥
fir ghir apunay garih meh aa-i-aa.
After wandering outside, now my mind has turned its concentration inwards,
ਹੁਣ (ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ) ਮੁੜ ਘਿੜ ਅੰਤਰ ਆਤਮੇ ਆ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਜੋ ਲੋੜੀਦਾ ਸੋਈ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
jo lorheedaa so-ee paa-i-aa.
and I have found spiritual peace, what I was longing for.
ਜੇਹੜੀ (ਆਤਮਕ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ) ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਮੈਂ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ।
ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਘਾਇ ਰਹਿਆ ਹੈ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਗੁਰਿ ਅਨਭਉ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਦਿਖਾਰਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
taripat aghaa-ay rahi-aa hai santahu gur anbha-o purakh dikhaari-aa jee-o. ||2||
O’ Saints, my mind has been fully satiated from Maya, because the Guru has spiritually enlightened me and has shown me the all pervading God.
ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਪੂਰਨ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਰੱਜ ਚੁਕਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਚਾਨਣ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸਭ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਆਪੇ ਰਾਜਨੁ ਆਪੇ ਲੋਗਾ ॥
aapay raajan aapay logaa.
God Himself is the King, and Himself the subjects.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪਰਜਾ-ਰੂਪ ਹੈ।
ਆਪਿ ਨਿਰਬਾਣੀ ਆਪੇ ਭੋਗਾ ॥
aap nirbaanee aapay bhogaa.
He Himself is the renouncer, and He Himself is the enjoyer of worldly pleasures.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਵਾਸਨਾ ਰਹਿਤ ਭੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ (ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ) ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਭੋਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਪੇ ਤਖਤਿ ਬਹੈ ਸਚੁ ਨਿਆਈ ਸਭ ਚੂਕੀ ਕੂਕ ਪੁਕਾਰਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
aapay takhat bahai sach ni-aa-ee sabh chookee kook pukaari-aa jee-o. ||3||
He Himself sits on the throne, and dispenses true justice. Therefore, all my cries and complaints have ended.||3||
ਉਹ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਉਤੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਗਿਲ੍ਹਾ-ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰੀ ਮੁੱਕ ਚੁਕੀ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਜੇਹਾ ਡਿਠਾ ਮੈ ਤੇਹੋ ਕਹਿਆ ॥
jayhaa dithaa mai tayho kahi-aa.
As I have seen Him, so have I described Him.
ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਸ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਕਹਿ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਤਿਸੁ ਰਸੁ ਆਇਆ ਜਿਨਿ ਭੇਦੁ ਲਹਿਆ ॥
tis ras aa-i-aa jin bhayd lahi-aa.
The person who has found this secret, enjoys the bliss of union with Him.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਭੇਦ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ) ਆਨੰਦ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਲੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਇਕੁ ਪਸਾਰਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੩॥੧੦॥
jotee jot milee sukh paa-i-aa jan nanak ik pasaari-aa jee-o. ||4||3||10||
O’ Nanak, that person’s soul merges with the Supreme soul, he obtains spiritual peace and he sees God pervading everywhere.||4||3||10||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਸੁਰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੩॥੧੦॥

ਜਿਤੁ ਘਰਿ ਪਿਰਿ ਸੋਹਾਗੁ ਬਣਾਇਆ ॥ ਤਿਤੁ ਘਰਿ ਸਖੀਏ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਗਾਇਆ ॥
jit ghar pir sohaag banaa-i-aa. tit ghar sakhee-ay mangal gaa-i-aa.
O my friend, the heart which has become fortunate by the presence of the Husband-God’s, that heart sings the praises of God.
ਹੇ ਸਖੀ! ਜਿਸ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੇ (ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਕਾਸ਼ ਨਾਲ) ਚੰਗਾ ਭਾਗ ਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਉਸ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ (ਪ੍ਰਭ-ਪਤੀ ਦੀ) ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਅਨਦ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਤਿਤੈ ਘਰਿ ਸੋਹਹਿ ਜੋ ਧਨ ਕੰਤਿ ਸਿਗਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
anad binod titai ghar soheh jo Dhan kant sigaaree jee-o. ||1||
The bride-soul who has been spiritually embellished by the Husband-God, enjoys the bliss and peace.
ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੋਵੇ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਸੋਭਦੇ ਹਨ ਆਤਮਕ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਸੋਭਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
ਸਾ ਗੁਣਵੰਤੀ ਸਾ ਵਡਭਾਗਣਿ ॥
saa gunvanti saa vadbhaagan.
She is most virtuous and she is most fortunate
ਉਹ ਸਭ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਕ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ
ਪੁਤ੍ਰਵੰਤੀ ਸੀਲਵੰਤਿ ਸੋਹਾਗਣਿ ॥
putarvantee seelvant sohagan.
She is blessed with spiritual wisdom, docile nature and good fortune.
ਉਹ (ਆਤਮ-ਗਿਆਨ-ਰੂਪ) ਪੁੱਤਰ ਵਾਲੀ, ਚੰਗੇ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਵਾਲੀ ਤੇ ਸੁਹਾਗ-ਭਾਗ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਰੂਪਵੰਤਿ ਸਾ ਸੁਘੜਿ ਬਿਚਖਣਿ ਜੋ ਧਨ ਕੰਤ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
roopvant saa sugharh bichkhan jo Dhan kant pi-aaree jee-o. ||2||
The soul-bride who is the beloved of her Husband-God is beautiful (spiritually elevated), clever and wise. ||2||
ਜੇਹੜੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਏ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸੁਚੱਜੀ ਘਾੜਤ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਕ ਤੇ ਚੰਗੀ ਸੂਝ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਕ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਅਚਾਰਵੰਤਿ ਸਾਈ ਪਰਧਾਨੇ ॥
achaarvant saa-ee parDhaanay.
She is well-mannered, noble and distinguished.
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਆਚਰਨ ਉੱਚਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ (ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ) ਮੰਨੀ-ਪ੍ਰਮੰਨੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
ਸਭ ਸਿੰਗਾਰ ਬਣੇ ਤਿਸੁ ਗਿਆਨੇ ॥
sabh singaar banay tis gi-aanay.
Her life is embellished by the spiritual virtues.
ਸਾਰੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਗੁਣ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਵਾਰ ਦੇਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਸਾ ਕੁਲਵੰਤੀ ਸਾ ਸਭਰਾਈ ਜੋ ਪਿਰਿ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਸਵਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
saa kulvantee saa sabhraa-ee jo pir kai rang savaaree jee-o. ||3||
The soul-bride who has been embellished with the love of her Husband-God is honorable, and blessed with the support of many brothers (Guru’s follower) ||3||
ਜੇਹੜੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ (ਰੰਗੀਜ ਕੇ) ਸੋਹਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਉੱਚੀ ਕੁਲ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਮਝੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ॥੩॥
ਮਹਿਮਾ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਏ ॥
mahimaa tis kee kahan na jaa-ay.
The glory of that soul-bride cannot be described;
ਉਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ,
ਜੋ ਪਿਰਿ ਮੇਲਿ ਲਈ ਅੰਗਿ ਲਾਏ ॥
jo pir mayl la-ee ang laa-ay.
who has been united with Husband-God and embraced by Him.
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ।
