ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਜਿ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਗੁਰਸਿਖਾ ਮੰਨਿ ਲਈ ਰਜਾਇ ਜੀਉ ॥
satgur purakh je boli-aa gursikhaa man la-ee rajaa-ay jee-o.
Whatever Guru Amardas proclaimed, all the disciples obeyed his command (about accepting Ramdas as the next Guru).
ਜਦੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਬਚਨ ਕੀਤਾ (ਕਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਚਰਨੀਂ ਲੱਗਣ, ਤਾਂ) ਗੁਰਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ (ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦਾ) ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨ ਲਿਆ।
ਮੋਹਰੀ ਪੁਤੁ ਸਨਮੁਖੁ ਹੋਇਆ ਰਾਮਦਾਸੈ ਪੈਰੀ ਪਾਇ ਜੀਉ ॥
mohree put sanmukh ho-i-aa raamdaasai pairee paa-ay jee-o.
First of all Mohri, the son of Guru Amardas, came forward and in reverence touched the feet of Guru Ramdas.
ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤ੍ਰ )ਮੋਹਰੀ ਜੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਪੈ ਕੇ (ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ) ਸਾਮ੍ਹਣੇ ਸੁਰਖ਼ਰੂ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਆ ਖਲੋਤੇ।
ਸਭ ਪਵੈ ਪੈਰੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੇਰੀ ਜਿਥੈ ਗੁਰੂ ਆਪੁ ਰਖਿਆ ॥
sabh pavai pairee satguroo kayree jithai guroo aap rakhi-aa.
After that, all others bowed to the feet of the true Guru (Guru Ram Das), in whom Guru Amardas infused his divine light.
ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ (ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਸਾਰੀ ਲੋਕਾਈ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਦੀ ਪੈਰੀਂ ਆ ਪਈ।
ਕੋਈ ਕਰਿ ਬਖੀਲੀ ਨਿਵੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਫਿਰਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਆਣਿ ਨਿਵਾਇਆ ॥
ko-ee kar bakheelee nivai naahee fir satguroo aan nivaa-i-aa.
Anyone who, out of jealousy, didn’t bow to Guru Ramdas, Guru Amardas ultimately convinced and made him bow to Guru Ram Das.
ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਈਰਖਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਪਹਿਲਾਂ) ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਭੀ ਨਿਂਵਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ ਆ ਪੈਰੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ।
ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰਹਿ ਭਾਣਾ ਦੀਈ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਧੁਰਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਲੇਖੁ ਰਜਾਇ ਜੀਉ ॥
har gureh bhaanaa dee-ee vadi-aa-ee Dhur likhi-aa laykh rajaa-ay jee-o.
It was pleasing to God and Guru Amardas to bestow greatness upon Guru Ramdas; it was preordained like this.
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ (ਇਹੀ) ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਾ, (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ) ਵਡਿਆਈ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀ; ਧੁਰੋਂ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦਾ ਇਹੀ ਹੁਕਮ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ;
ਕਹੈ ਸੁੰਦਰੁ ਸੁਣਹੁ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਸਭੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਪੈਰੀ ਪਾਇ ਜੀਉ ॥੬॥੧॥
kahai sundar sunhu santahu sabh jagat pairee paa-ay jee-o. ||6||1||
Sunder says, O’ saints! listen, the entire world bowed to Guru Ramdas. ||6||1||
ਸੁੰਦਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹੇ ਸੰਤਹੁ! ਸੁਣੋ, ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ (ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦੀ) ਪੈਰੀਂ ਪਿਆ ॥੬॥੧॥

One eternal God, realized by the grace of the True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਾਜਨੜਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਾਜਨੜਾ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਖਲੋਇਅੜਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਾਜਨੜਾ ॥
saajanrhaa mayraa saajanrhaa nikat khalo-i-arhaa mayraa saajanrhaa.
God is my dearest, yes He is my friend and is always standing right beside me.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਸੱਜਣ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ; ਉਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਸੱਜਣ (ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ) ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਸ ਖਲੋਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਜਾਨੀਅੜਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਨੀਅੜਾ ਨੈਣ ਅਲੋਇਅੜਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਨੀਅੜਾ ॥
jaanee-arhaa har jaanee-arhaa nain alo-i-arhaa har jaanee-arhaa.
Dear God is my beloved, and I have seen Him with my own eyes.
ਪਿਆਰਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਜਾਨੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਨੈਣ ਅਲੋਇਆ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਸੋਇਆ ਅਤਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਗੂੜਾ ॥
nain alo-i-aa ghat ghat so-i-aa at amrit pari-a goorhaa.
With my eyes I have seen God pervading each and every heart, He is spiritually rejuvenating and an extremely loving friend.
ਮੈਂ ਅੱਖੀਂ ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹਰੇਕ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਤੇ ਅੱਤ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਲਿ ਹੋਵੰਦਾ ਲਹਿ ਨ ਸਕੰਦਾ ਸੁਆਉ ਨ ਜਾਣੈ ਮੂੜਾ ॥
naal hovandaa leh na sakandaa su-aa-o na jaanai moorhaa.
God is always present with all, but the foolish human being cannot realize Him because he doesn’t know the taste of union with Him.
ਉਸ ਹਰ-ਵੇਲੇ-ਨਾਲ-ਵੱਸਦੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੂਰਖ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਲੱਭ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ।ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੂਰਖ ਜੀਵ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ l
ਮਾਇਆ ਮਦਿ ਮਾਤਾ ਹੋਛੀ ਬਾਤਾ ਮਿਲਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਭਰਮ ਧੜਾ ॥
maa-i-aa mad maataa hochhee baataa milan na jaa-ee bharam Dharhaa.
The fool remains engrossed in the love for Maya and talks about trivial affairs; being swayed by doubt, he cannot realize God.
ਮੂਰਖ ਜੀਵ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਥੋੜ-ਵਿਤੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭਟਕਣਾ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਸੂਝੈ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਜਨੁ ਸਭ ਕੈ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਖੜਾ ॥੧॥
kaho naanak gur bin naahee soojhai har saajan sabh kai nikat kharhaa. ||1||
Nanak says, even the beloved God is standing near everyone, yet He cannot be realized without the Guru’s teachings. ||1||
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਸੱਜਣ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਭਾਵੇਂ) ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਖਲੋਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਉਹ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ॥੧॥
ਗੋਬਿੰਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਬਿੰਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਅਧਾਰਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਬਿੰਦਾ ॥

ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ਦਾਨ ਦਾਤਾਰਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ॥
kirpaalaa mayray kirpaalaa daan daataaraa mayray kirpaalaa.
O’ the ocean of mercy, my beneficent and merciful God:
ਹੇ ਦਇਆ ਦੇ ਘਰ! ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ! ਹੇ ਸਭ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ,
ਦਾਨ ਦਾਤਾਰਾ ਅਪਰ ਅਪਾਰਾ ਘਟ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸੋਹਨਿਆ ॥
daan daataaraa apar apaaraa ghat ghat antar sohni-aa.
You are looking beautiful pervading every heart; O’ the great giver of bounties and infinite God!
ਹੇ ਸਭ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ! ਹੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ! ਹੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਦਿਲ ਵਿਚ ਸੋਭ ਰਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!
ਇਕ ਦਾਸੀ ਧਾਰੀ ਸਬਲ ਪਸਾਰੀ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਲੈ ਮੋਹਨਿਆ ॥
ik daasee Dhaaree sabal pasaaree jee-a jant lai mohni-aa.
You created this maid-servant, the Maya, which is pervading with its full power everywhere and has enticed all beings and creatures.
ਤੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ-ਦਾਸੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬੜਾ ਬਲ ਵਾਲਾ ਖਿਲਾਰਾ ਖਿਲਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੋਹ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਰਾਖੈ ਸੋ ਸਚੁ ਭਾਖੈ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਾ ॥
jis no raakhai so sach bhaakhai gur kaa sabad beechaaraa.
One whom the eternal God protects from Maya’s influence, recites His Name and he remains focused on the Guru’s word.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਇਸ ਦਾਸੀ-ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੁਰਤ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾਈ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਉ ਭਾਣਾ ਤਿਸ ਹੀ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਿਆਰਾ ॥੨॥
kaho naanak jo parabh ka-o bhaanaa tis hee ka-o parabh pi-aaraa. ||2||
Nanak says, God is very dear to that person alone, who is pleasing to God. ||2||
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਮਾਣੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਾਣੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਮਾਣੋ ॥
maano parabh maano mayray parabh kaa maano.
I take pride in God; yes, I take pride in my God.
ਮੈਂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਫਖਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ; ਹਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਾਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
ਜਾਣੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਣੋ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੁਘੜੁ ਸੁਜਾਣੋ ॥
jaano parabh jaano su-aamee sugharh sujaano.
God alone is wise, sagacious and omniscient.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ (ਸਭ ਦੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਦੀ) ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਹੈ ਸੁਜਾਨ ਹੈ।
ਸੁਘੜ ਸੁਜਾਨਾ ਸਦ ਪਰਧਾਨਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮਾ ॥
sugharh sujaanaa sad parDhaanaa amrit har kaa naamaa.
Yes, God is far-sighted, always supreme and His Name is spiritually rejuvenating.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਹੈ ਸੁਜਾਣ ਹੈ ਸਦਾ ਮੰਨਿਆ-ਪਰਮੰਨਿਆ ਹੈ; ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
ਚਾਖਿ ਅਘਾਣੇ ਸਾਰਿਗਪਾਣੇ ਜਿਨ ਕੈ ਭਾਗ ਮਥਾਨਾ ॥
chaakh aghaanay saarigpaanay jin kai bhaag mathaanaa.
Those who are pre-ordained taste the nectar of God’s Name and become fully satiated for the hunger for Maya, the worldly riches and power:
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਦੇ ਭਾਗ ਜਾਗਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਧਨੁਖ-ਧਾਰੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਚੱਖ ਕੇ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਭੁੱਖ ਵਲੋਂ) ਰੱਜ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ:
ਤਿਨ ਹੀ ਪਾਇਆ ਤਿਨਹਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਸਗਲ ਤਿਸੈ ਕਾ ਮਾਣੋ ॥
tin hee paa-i-aa tineh Dhi-aa-i-aa sagal tisai kaa maano.
Only they have realized God and have lovingly remembered Him; they all are proud of Him.
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਹੈ। ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਮਾਣ-ਫ਼ਖ਼ਰ ਹੈ।
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਥਿਰੁ ਤਖਤਿ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਸਚੁ ਤਿਸੈ ਦੀਬਾਣੋ ॥੩॥
kaho naanak thir takhat nivaasee sach tisai deebaano. ||3||
Nanak says, God is eternal, His supreme status is forever and His system of justice is based on truth. ||3||
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਸਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਉਤੇ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਸੱਚੀ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕਚਹਿਰੀ ॥੩॥
ਮੰਗਲਾ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਗਲਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੈ ਸੁਣੀਐ ਮੰਗਲਾ ॥
manglaa har manglaa mayray parabh kai sunee-ai manglaa.
O’ my friend, the songs of joy are the blissful songs of God’s praises and we should always listen to the joyous songs of God’s praises.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਹਨ; ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਣਨੇ ਚਾਇਦੇ ਹਨ l
ਸੋਹਿਲੜਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੋਹਿਲੜਾ ਅਨਹਦ ਧੁਨੀਐ ਸੋਹਿਲੜਾ ॥
sohilrhaa parabh sohilrhaa anhad Dhunee-ai sohilrhaa.
Sweet melodious songs are the non stop pleasant songs of God’s praises.
ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਧੁਨੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਗੀਤ ਹਨ l
ਅਨਹਦ ਵਾਜੇ ਸਬਦ ਅਗਾਜੇ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਜਿਸਹਿ ਵਧਾਈ ॥
anhad vaajay sabad agaajay nit nit jisahi vaDhaa-ee.
God who is always in high spirit, divine words of His praises keep playing continuously in His house, the heart in which He is manifest.
ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਵਾਜੇ ਵੱਜਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਜਾਈ ॥
so parabh Dhi-aa-ee-ai sabh kichh paa-ee-ai marai na aavai jaa-ee.
We should lovingly remember God from whom we receive everything; He is eternal and does not go through births and deaths.
ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਚੀਜ਼ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾ ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਹ ਜੰਮਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਚੂਕੀ ਪਿਆਸਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਆਸਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਿਲੁ ਨਿਰਗੁਨੀਐ ॥
chookee pi-aasaa pooran aasaa gurmukh mil nirgunee-ai.
One’s yearning for Maya ends by following the Guru’s teachings; all his desires are fulfilled by realizing God, unaffected by three modes of Maya.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਮਾਇਆ-ਰਹਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਆਸ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।,
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਘਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੈ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਸੁਨੀਐ ॥੪॥੧॥
kaho naanak ghar parabh mayray kai nit nit mangal sunee-ai. ||4||1||
Nanak says, in my God’s abode, the songs of joy are heard continuously. ||4||1||
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਸੁਣੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੪॥੧॥
