ਤੰਤੁ ਮੰਤੁ ਨਹ ਜੋਹਈ ਤਿਤੁ ਚਾਖੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
tant mant nah joh-ee tit chaakh na laagai. ||1|| rahaa-o.
He is not affected by any charm or mantra, and evil intensions cannot do any harm him. ||1||Pause||
ਕੋਈ ਜਾਦੂ ਟੁਣਾ ਉਸ ਉਤੇ ਅਸਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ, ਕੋਈ ਭੈੜੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗ ਸਕਦੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਮਦ ਮਾਨ ਮੋਹ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਅਨਰਾਗੈ ॥
kaam kroDh mad maan moh binsay anraagai.
Lust, anger, the intoxication of egotism, emotional attachment and other worldly allurements are destroyed,
ਕਾਮ, ਕ੍ਰੋਧ, ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਮਸਤੀ, ਮੋਹ, ਹੋਰ ਹੋਰ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਸਕੇ ਸਭ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਆਨੰਦ ਮਗਨ ਰਸਿ ਰਾਮ ਰੰਗਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਨਾਗੈ ॥੨॥੪॥੬੮॥
aanand magan ras raam rang naanak sarnaagai. ||2||4||68||
O’ Nanak, one who remains in the refuge of God, remains imbued and elated in God’s love. ||2||4||68||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਪਨਾਹ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੪॥੬੮॥

Raag Bilaaval, Fifth Guru:
ਜੀਅ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਵਸਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕੈ ਜੋ ਕਹੈ ਸੁ ਕਰਨਾ ॥
jee-a jugat vas parabhoo kai jo kahai so karnaa.
The way of living of all beings is in God’s control; we do whatever He commands.
ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਜੁਗਤਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ।
ਭਏ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਰਾਇ ਭਉ ਕਿਛੁ ਨਹੀ ਕਰਨਾ ॥੧॥
bha-ay parsann gopaal raa-ay bha-o kichh nahee karnaa. ||1||
The person on whom God, the sovereign king, is pleased, he has nothing to be afraid of. ||1||
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਜਗਤ-ਪਾਲ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਡਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ॥੧॥
ਦੂਖੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਕਦੇ ਤੁਧੁ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਚਿਤਾਰੇ ॥
dookh na laagai kaday tuDh paarbarahm chitaaray.
By remembering God with loving devotion, no sorrow would ever afflict you,
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਈ ਰੱਖ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਭੀ ਕੋਈ ਦੁੱਖ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕੇਗਾ,
ਜਮਕੰਕਰੁ ਨੇੜਿ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jamkankar nayrh na aavee gursikh pi-aaray. ||1|| rahaa-o.
O’ the Guru’s beloved disciple, even the demon of death would not come near you. ||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਗੁਰਸਿੱਖ! ਜਮਦੂਤ (ਭੀ) ਤੇਰੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਵੇਗਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਹੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਹੀ ਹੋਰੁ ॥
karan kaaran samrath hai tis bin nahee hor.
The all Powerful God is the Cause of causes; there is none other like Him.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਜਗਤ ਦੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ (ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਸਮਰਥਾ ਵਾਲਾ) ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਸਾਚਾ ਮਨਿ ਜੋਰੁ ॥੨॥੫॥੬੯॥
naanak parabh sarnaagatee saachaa man jor. ||2||5||69||
O’ Nanak, one who remains in God’s refuge, he has God’s eternal support in his mind . ||2||5||69||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦl ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੫॥੬੯॥

ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਨਾ ਨਾਠਾ ਦੁਖ ਠਾਉ ॥
simar simar parabh aapnaa naathaa dukh thaa-o.
O’ brother, by always remembering God with adoration, the very source of my sorrows has hastened away.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਹੀ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ l
ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮ ਪਾਏ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਤਾ ਤੇ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਧਾਉ ॥੧॥
bisraam paa-ay mil saaDhsang taa tay bahurh na Dhaa-o. ||1||
By joining the Guru’s congregation, I have found a place for celestial peace, and now I no longer wander away from there. ||1||
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਸੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਓਥੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਫਿਰ ਕਦੇ ਪਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੱਜਦਾ ॥੧॥
ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਗੁਰ ਆਪਨੇ ਚਰਨਨ੍ਹ੍ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਉ ॥
balihaaree gur aapnay charnanH bal jaa-o.
I am dedicated to my Guru, and I sincerely follow his teachings.
ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ (ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ) ਚਰਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
ਅਨਦ ਸੂਖ ਮੰਗਲ ਬਨੇ ਪੇਖਤ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
anad sookh mangal banay paykhat gun gaa-o. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Beholding the Guru, I sing God’s praises, remain blissful, and enjoy all the pleasures. ||1||Pause||
ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਨੰਦ, ਸੁਖ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਉ ਬਣੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਕਥਾ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਰਾਗ ਨਾਦ ਧੁਨਿ ਇਹੁ ਬਨਿਓ ਸੁਆਉ ॥
kathaa keertan raag naad Dhun ih bani-o su-aa-o.
Reflecting on God’s virtues, singing His praises and listening to the divine melodies has become the focus of my life.
ਦੀਆਂ ਕਥਾ-ਕਹਾਣੀਆਂ, ਕੀਰਤਨ, ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ-ਇਹੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਬਣ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੁਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਭਏ ਬਾਂਛਤ ਫਲ ਪਾਉ ॥੨॥੬॥੭੦॥
naanak parabh suparsan bha-ay baaNchhat fal paa-o. ||2||6||70||
O’ Nanak, God has become very much pleased with me and now I am receiving the fruits of my heart’s desire. ||2||6||70||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਮੈਂ ਹੁਣ ਮਨ-ਮੰਗਿਆ ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੨॥੬॥੭੦॥

ਦਾਸ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਰਿਦ ਕਰਿ ਪਰਗਾਸੁ ॥
daas tayray kee bayntee rid kar pargaas.
This is the prayer of your devotee: please enlighten my heart with spiritual wisdom,
ਤੇਰੇ ਦਾਸ ਦੀ ਅਰਜ਼ੋਈ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ) ਚਾਨਣ ਕਰ;
ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਤੇ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਦੋਖਨ ਕੋ ਨਾਸੁ ॥੧॥
tumHree kirpaa tay paarbarahm dokhan ko naas. ||1||
so that by Your grace, O’ supreme God! my vices may get destroyed. ||1||
(ਤਾਂ ਕਿ) ਹੇ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ! ਤੇਰੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਏ ॥੧॥
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਕਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪੁਰਖ ਗੁਣਤਾਸੁ ॥
charan kamal kaa aasraa parabh purakh guntaas.
O’ all pervading God! You are the treasure of virtues; I have the support of only Your immaculate Name.
ਹੇ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ (ਹੀ) ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੈਂ। ਮੈਨੂੰ (ਤੇਰੇ) ਹੀ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ।
ਕੀਰਤਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਰਹਉ ਜਬ ਲਗੁ ਘਟਿ ਸਾਸੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
keertan naam simrat raha-o jab lag ghat saas. ||1|| rahaa-o.
As long as there is breath in my body, I may keep singing Your praises and meditating on Naam with adoration. ||1||Pause||
ਜਦ ਤਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਹ ਚੱਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ, ਤੇਰੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਬੰਧਪ ਤੂਹੈ ਤੂ ਸਰਬ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ ॥
maat pitaa banDhap toohai too sarab nivaas.
O’ God! You are my mother, father and my relatives. You are pervading all beings.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਉ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਾਕ-ਸੈਣ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਜਾ ਕੋ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਜਾਸੁ ॥੨॥੭॥੭੧॥
naanak parabh sarnaagatee jaa ko nirmal jaas. ||2||7||71||
O’ Nanak, seek the refuge of that God whose glory is immaculate. ||2||7||71||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪਨਾਹ ਲੈਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਜਸ ॥੨॥੭॥੭੧॥

ਸਰਬ ਸਿਧਿ ਹਰਿ ਗਾਈਐ ਸਭਿ ਭਲਾ ਮਨਾਵਹਿ ॥
sarab siDh har gaa-ee-ai sabh bhalaa manaaveh.
We should sing praises of God, the Master of all miraculous powers; one who does, everyone wishes him well.
ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਧੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇਹੜਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੁਖ ਮੰਗਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਸਾਧੁ ਸਾਧੁ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਕਹਹਿ ਸੁਣਿ ਦਾਸ ਮਿਲਾਵਹਿ ॥੧॥
saaDh saaDh mukh tay kaheh sun daas milaaveh. ||1||
With their tongues they call him a saintly person; listening to his words, people bow to him with humility. ||1||
ਮੂੰਹੋਂ (ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ) ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਸੇਵਕ-ਭਾਵ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਚਰਨੀਂ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਰਸ ਪੂਰੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਕੀਨ੍ਹ੍ ॥
sookh sahj kali-aan ras poorai gur keenH.
That person, whom the perfect Guru blesses with peace, poise, liberation from vices and happiness,
ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਸੁਖ ਆਨੰਦ ਰਸ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ,
ਜੀਅ ਸਗਲ ਦਇਆਲ ਭਏ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਚੀਨ੍ਹ੍ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jee-a sagal da-i-aal bha-ay har har naam cheenH. ||1|| rahaa-o.
reflects on God’s Name and remains compassionate to all beings. ||1||Pause||
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਈ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਸਰਬਤ੍ਰ ਮਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਗੁਣੀ ਗਹੀਰ ॥
poor rahi-o sarbatar meh parabh gunee gaheer.
God, the unfathomable Master of virtues, is pervading all beings.
ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਅਥਾਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਭਗਤ ਆਨੰਦ ਮੈ ਪੇਖਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਧੀਰ ॥੨॥੮॥੭੨॥
naanak bhagat aanand mai paykh parabh kee Dheer. ||2||8||72||
O’ Nanak, having God’s support, the devotees always remain in bliss. ||2||8||72||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ!ਭਗਤ ਜਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਤੱਕ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ-ਭਰਪੂਰ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥੮॥੭੨॥

ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਸੁਣੀ ਦਾਤਾਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ॥
ardaas sunee daataar parabh ho-ay kirpaal.
Becoming merciful, the beneficent God has listened to my prayer.
ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਦਾਤਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਸੁਣ ਲਈ ਹੈ.
ਰਾਖਿ ਲੀਆ ਅਪਨਾ ਸੇਵਕੋ ਮੁਖਿ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਛਾਰੁ ॥੧॥
raakh lee-aa apnaa sayvko mukh nindak chhaar. ||1||
God has saved His devotee and has brought shame to the devotee’s slanderer. ||1||
ਆਪਣੇ ਉਸ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਸਦਾ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੇ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਫਿਟਕਾਰ ਹੀ ਪਈ ਹੈ) ॥੧॥
ਤੁਝਹਿ ਨ ਜੋਹੈ ਕੋ ਮੀਤ ਜਨ ਤੂੰ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਦਾਸ ॥
tujheh na johai ko meet jan tooN gur kaa daas.
O’ my friend, if you follow the Guru’s teachings, then nobody can even think of harming you.
ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ! ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹੇਂ, ਤਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਾੜੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਤੱਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਿ ਤੂ ਰਾਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਅਪਨੇ ਹਾਥ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
paarbarahm too raakhi-aa day apnay haath. ||1|| rahaa-o.
The supreme God has saved you by extending His support. ||1||Pause||
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਜੀਅਨ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਏਕੁ ਹੈ ਬੀਆ ਨਹੀ ਹੋਰੁ ॥
jee-an kaa daataa ayk hai bee-aa nahee hor.
O’ my friend, God is the only benefactor of all beings; there is no other at all.
ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ! ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ, ਹੋਰ ਦੂਜਾ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ l
ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਬੇਨੰਤੀਆ ਮੈ ਤੇਰਾ ਜੋਰੁ ॥੨॥੯॥੭੩॥
naanak kee banantee-aa mai tayraa jor. ||2||9||73||
Nanak prays, O’ God! You are my only strength. ||2||9||73||

ਮੀਤ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਸਾਜਨਾ ਰਾਖੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ॥
meet hamaaray saajnaa raakhay govind.
O’ my friends and companions, God of the universe protects His devotees.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਿੱਤਰੋ! ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੱਜਣੋ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ) ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਿੰਦਕ ਮਿਰਤਕ ਹੋਇ ਗਏ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਹੋਹੁ ਨਿਚਿੰਦ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
nindak mirtak ho-ay ga-ay tumH hohu nichind. ||1|| rahaa-o.
The slanderers become spiritually dead, so you should not worry about them. ||1||Pause||
ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤੇ ਮਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਤੁਸੀ ਨਿੰਦਕਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਬੇ-ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਰਹੋ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕੀਏ ਭੇਟੇ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥
sagal manorath parabh kee-ay bhaytay gurdayv.
God has fulfilled all hopes and desires of the one who has met and followed the teachings of the divine Guru.
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ-ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ਰ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ।
