ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਕਦੇ ਮੂਲਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਭੰਡਾਰ ॥
tot na aavai kaday mool pooran bhandaar.
The storehouses of the saintly congregation are always overflowing with God’s blessings and there is never any shortage.
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਇਕ ਐਸਾ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਹੈ ਜਿਥੇ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ) ਭੰਡਾਰੇ ਭਰੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਉਥੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ) ਕਦੇ ਭੀ ਤੋਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ।
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਬਸੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰ ॥੨॥
charan kamal man tan basay parabh agam apaar. ||2||
The immaculate Name of the inaccessible and infinite God remains enshrined in the mind and heart of the one who dwells in the holy congregation. ||2||
ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ, ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਅਪਹੁੰਚ ਤੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਣ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
ਬਸਤ ਕਮਾਵਤ ਸਭਿ ਸੁਖੀ ਕਿਛੁ ਊਨ ਨ ਦੀਸੈ ॥
basat kamaavat sabh sukhee kichh oon na deesai.
Those who reside in the holy congregation and earn the wealth of Naam, live in peace and never see shortages of anything.
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਦੇ ਹਨ, ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸੁਖੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਚੀਜ ਦੀ ਥੁੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਸਦੀ।
ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਭੇਟੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪੂਰਨ ਜਗਦੀਸੈ ॥੩॥
sant parsaad bhaytay parabhoo pooran jagdeesai. ||3||
By the Guru’s grace, they realize the perfect Master-God of the universe. ||3||.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਪੂਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
ਜੈ ਜੈ ਕਾਰੁ ਸਭੈ ਕਰਹਿ ਸਚੁ ਥਾਨੁ ਸੁਹਾਇਆ ॥
jai jai kaar sabhai karahi sach thaan suhaa-i-aa.
The holy congregation of true saints is eternal and beautiful; all people acclaim those who dwell there.
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਦੇ ਹਨ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ) ਸੋਭਾ-ਵਡਿਆਈ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਇਕ ਐਸਾ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਥਾਂ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਪਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਸੁਖ ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੩੩॥੬੩॥
jap naanak naam niDhaan sukh pooraa gur paa-i-aa. ||4||33||63||
O’ Nanak, by meditating on Naam, the treasure of celestial peace, one realizes the perfect divine Guru. ||4||33||63||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ( ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਪ ਕੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ (ਸਦਾ ਲਈ) ਮਿਲਾਪ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਈਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੩੩॥੬੩॥

Raag Bilaaval, Fifth Guru:
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਆਰਾਧੀਐ ਹੋਈਐ ਆਰੋਗ ॥
har har har aaraaDhee-ai ho-ee-ai aarog.
O’ brother, we should always remember God with adoration; by doing so we become free from all kinds of afflictions.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਆਦਿਕ ਰੋਗਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਰਾਮਚੰਦ ਕੀ ਲਸਟਿਕਾ ਜਿਨਿ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਰੋਗੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
raamchand kee lastikaa jin maari-aa rog. ||1|| rahaa-o.
This remembrance of God is like the legendary stick of king Ram Chandra which has driven away all kinds of afflictions from every one who meditated on God. ||1||Pause||
ਇਹ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਹੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਸੋਟੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ (ਹਰੇਕ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਹਰੇਕ ਰੋਗ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਪੀਐ ਨਿਤ ਕੀਚੈ ਭੋਗੁ ॥
gur pooraa har jaapee-ai nit keechai bhog.
We should meditate on God through the perfect Guru, by doing so we can forever enjoy the spiritual bliss.
ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਸਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੈ ਵਾਰਣੈ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੰਜੋਗੁ ॥੧॥
saaDhsangat kai vaarnai mili-aa sanjog. ||1||
We should dedicate ourself to the Guru’s congregation through which we find an opportunity of realize God, ||1||
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ (ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ ਅਵਸਰ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਜਿਸੁ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਬਿਓਗੁ ॥
jis simrat sukh paa-ee-ai binsai bi-og.
by meditating on whom we receive celestial peace and our separation from Him ends.
ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਿਛੋੜਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਜੋਗੁ ॥੨॥੩੪॥੬੪॥
naanak parabh sarnaagatee karan kaaran jog. ||2||34||64||
O’ Nanak, we should seek the refuge of that God who is all powerful Creator, the Cause of causes. ||2||34||64||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਏ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਜਗਤ ਦੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੩੪॥੬੪॥

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik-oNkaar satgur parsaad.
One creator God, realized by the grace of the True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਅਵਰਿ ਉਪਾਵ ਸਭਿ ਤਿਆਗਿਆ ਦਾਰੂ ਨਾਮੁ ਲਇਆ ॥
avar upaav sabh ti-aagi-aa daaroo naam la-i-aa.
One who has given up all other efforts and has taken the medicine of Naam,
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ, ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀਲੇ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (ਹੀ) ਦਵਾਈ ਵਰਤੀ ਹੈ,
ਤਾਪ ਪਾਪ ਸਭਿ ਮਿਟੇ ਰੋਗ ਸੀਤਲ ਮਨੁ ਭਇਆ ॥੧॥
taap paap sabh mitay rog seetal man bha-i-aa. ||1||
all his sorrows, sins and afflictions have vanished and his mind has become tranquil. ||1||
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ-ਕਲੇਸ਼, ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ, ਸਾਰੇ ਰੋਗ ਮਿਟ ਗਏ ਹਨ; ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਪਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਕੇ) ਠੰਢਾ-ਠਾਰ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਆਰਾਧਿਆ ਸਗਲਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਗਇਆ ॥
gur pooraa aaraaDhi-aa saglaa dukh ga-i-aa.
One who has followed the perfect Guru’s teachings, all his sorrows have ended;
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਦੁੱਖ-ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਇਆ ਹੈ;
ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰੈ ਰਾਖਿਆ ਅਪਨੀ ਕਰਿ ਮਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
raakhanhaarai raakhi-aa apnee kar ma-i-aa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
and bestowing mercy, the savior God has saved him. ||1||Pause||
ਬਚਾਉਣਹਾਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਹਿਮਤ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਬਾਹ ਪਕੜਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕਾਢਿਆ ਕੀਨਾ ਅਪਨਇਆ ॥
baah pakarh parabh kaadhi-aa keenaa apna-i-aa.
Extending His support, God has pulled that person out of the worldly evils and has made him His own.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬਾਂਹ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੀ ਘਾਣੀ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਮਨ ਤਨ ਸੁਖੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਿਰਭਇਆ ॥੨॥੧॥੬੫॥
simar simar man tan sukhee naanak nirbha-i-aa. ||2||1||65||
O’ Nanak, by remembering God with loving devotion, his mind and heart have become peaceful, and he has become fearless. ||2||1||65||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ-ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨਿਡਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੧॥੬੫॥

ਕਰੁ ਧਰਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਥਾਪਿਆ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਨੋ ਦਾਨਿ ॥
kar Dhar mastak thaapi-aa naam deeno daan.
God provides protection to His devotees and blesses them with the gift of Naam.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਧਰ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਥਾਪਣਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਮ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਫਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੀ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਨਹੀ ਹਾਨਿ ॥੧॥
safal sayvaa paarbarahm kee taa kee nahee haan. ||1||
One who performs the fruitful devotional worship of the Supreme God, never suffers any loss. ||1||
ਜੋ ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਫਲਦਾਇਕ ਘਾਲ ਕਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਘਾਟਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ ॥੧॥
ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਰਾਖਤਾ ਭਗਤਨ ਕੀ ਆਨਿ ॥
aapay hee parabh raakh-taa bhagtan kee aan.
God Himself preserves the honor of His devotees.
ਆਪਣੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬਚਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਚਿਤਵਹਿ ਸਾਧ ਜਨ ਸੋ ਲੇਤਾ ਮਾਨਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jo jo chitvahi saaDh jan so laytaa maan. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Whatever the saintly people wish for, God grants that. ||1||Pause||
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਧਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਉਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਮੰਨ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸਰਣਿ ਪਰੇ ਚਰਣਾਰਬਿੰਦ ਜਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ॥
saran paray charnaarbind jan parabh kay paraan.
The devotees who seek the support of God’s immaculate Name, become dear to Him like the breath of life.
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੰਦ ਵਰਗੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਿਲੇ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਮਾਨ ॥੨॥੨॥੬੬॥
sahj subhaa-ay naanak milay jotee jot samaan. ||2||2||66||
O Nanak, they intuitively realize God and their soul merges into the divine Light. ||2||2||66||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਸੁਭਾਵਕ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੨॥੬੬॥

ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਕਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਦੀਨੋ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਿ ॥
charan kamal kaa aasraa deeno parabh aap.
God Himself has blessed the devotees with the support of His immaculate Name.
ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਣਾਗਤਿ ਜਨ ਪਰੇ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਸਦ ਪਰਤਾਪੁ ॥੧॥
parabh sarnaagat jan paray taa kaa sad partaap. ||
Beholding His eternal glory, those devotees remain in His refuge. ||1||
ਉਹ ਸੇਵਕ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਉਸ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਏ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰ ਅਪਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੇਵ ॥
raakhanhaar apaar parabh taa kee nirmal sayv.
God, the savior, is infinite; His devotional service makes one’s life immaculate.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਅਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ (ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ) ਪਵਿੱਤਰ (ਬਣਾ ਦੇਂਦੀ ਹੈ)।
ਰਾਮ ਰਾਜ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਪੁਰਿ ਕੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੇ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
raam raaj raamdaas pur keenHay gurdayv. ||1|| rahaa-o.
The divine Guru has established a spiritual domain in the holy congregation (in the city of Raamdaas Pur-Amritsar). ||1||Pause||
ਗੁਰੂ ਪਰਵੇਸ਼ਰ ਨੇ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਕਿਛੁ ਬਿਘਨੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ॥
sadaa sadaa har Dhi-aa-ee-ai kichh bighan na laagai.
We should always remember God with adoration; by doing so, no impediment comes our way of life.
ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿਚ) ਕੋਈ ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦੀ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਲਾਹੀਐ ਭਇ ਦੁਸਮਨ ਭਾਗੈ ॥੨॥੩॥੬੭॥
naanak naam salaahee-ai bha-ay dusman bhaagai. ||2||3||67||
O’ Nanak, we should sing praises of God’s Name; because of the fear of God, all the enemies (vices) run away. ||2||3||67||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ) ਡਰ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਨੱਸ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥੩॥੬੭॥

Raag Bilaaval, Fifth Guru:
ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਰਾਧੀਐ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧ ਸਮਾਗੈ ॥
man tan parabh aaraaDhee-ai mil saaDh samaagai.
By joining the congregation of the true saints, we should lovingly remember God with full concentration of our heart and mind.
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਨਾਲ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਉਚਰਤ ਗੁਨ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਜਸੁ ਦੂਰ ਤੇ ਜਮੁ ਭਾਗੈ ॥੧॥
uchrat gun gopaal jas door tay jam bhaagai. ||1||
By chanting the virtues and praises of God of the Universe, even the demon of death runs away from a distance. ||1||
ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਰੱਖਿਅਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਅਤੇ ਜਸ ਉਚਾਰਦਿਆਂ ਜਮ (ਭੀ) ਦੂਰ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਭੱਜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਜੋ ਜਨੁ ਜਪੈ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸਦ ਜਾਗੈ ॥
raam naam jo jan japai an-din sad jaagai.
One who meditates on God’s Name with loving devotion, always remains spiritually awake and alert to worldly temptations.
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਸਦਾ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ) ਸੁਚੇਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
