ਧੰਨੁ ਸੁ ਥਾਨੁ ਬਸੰਤ ਧੰਨੁ ਜਹ ਜਪੀਐ ਨਾਮੁ ॥
Dhan so thaan basant Dhan jah japee-ai naam.
Blessed is that place where God’s Name is remembered with adoration,and blessed are those who dwell there.
ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਅਸਥਾਨ ,ਅਤੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ਉਥੇ ਵੱਸਣ ਵਾਲੇ, ਜਿਥੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ l
ਕਥਾ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਅਤਿ ਘਨਾ ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜ ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮੁ ॥੩॥
kathaa keertan har at ghanaa sukh sahj bisraam. ||3||
That place, where there is frequent discourse on God’s virtues and singing His praises, becomes the source of spiritual peace and poise. ||3||
ਜਿਥੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਕਥਾ-ਵਾਰਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਰਹੇ, ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜ ਦਾ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ (ਸੋਮਾ) ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਮਨ ਤੇ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਵੀਸਰੈ ਅਨਾਥ ਕੋ ਨਾਥ ॥
man tay kaday na veesrai anaath ko naath.
God, the Master of the masterless, should never be forsaken from the mind.
ਅਨਾਥਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਥ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕਦੇ ਮਨ ਤੋਂ ਭੁੱਲਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਹਾਥ ॥੪॥੨੯॥੫੯॥
naanak parabh sarnaagatee jaa kai sabh kichh haath. ||4||29||59||
O’ Nanak, we should always remain in the refuge of God who controls everything. ||4||29||59||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਸਦਾ ਪਏ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਹਰੇਕ ਚੀਜ਼ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੨੯॥੫੯॥

Raag Bilaaval, Fifth Guru:
ਜਿਨਿ ਤੂ ਬੰਧਿ ਕਰਿ ਛੋਡਿਆ ਫੁਨਿ ਸੁਖ ਮਹਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
jin too banDh kar chhodi-aa fun sukh meh paa-i-aa.
O’ brother, that God who first confined you in your mother’s womb and then released you into the world of pleasures,
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਗਰਭ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ,
ਸਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਚਰਣਾਰਬਿੰਦ ਸੀਤਲ ਹੋਤਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
sadaa simar charnaarbind seetal hotaa-i-aa. ||1||
you should always lovingly meditate on His immaculate Name, so you will always remain tranquil. ||1||
ਤੂਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨ ਸਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹੁ। (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਦਾ) ਸ਼ਾਂਤ-ਚਿੱਤ ਰਹਿ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਜੀਵਤਿਆ ਅਥਵਾ ਮੁਇਆ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਾਮਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥
jeevti-aa athvaa mu-i-aa kichh kaam na aava
In life as well as after death, this Maya (the worldly riches and power) serves no purpose.
ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਤ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਇਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਕਿਸੇ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ।
ਜਿਨਿ ਏਹੁ ਰਚਨੁ ਰਚਾਇਆ ਕੋਊ ਤਿਸ ਸਿਉ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jin ayhu rachan rachaa-i-aa ko-oo tis si-o rang laavai. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Only a rare person imbues himself with the love of God who created this expanse. ||1||Pause||
ਜਿਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਜਗਤ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਿਆਰ ਬਣਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਉਸਨ ਸੀਤ ਕਰਤਾ ਕਰੈ ਘਾਮ ਤੇ ਕਾਢੈ ॥
ray paraanee usan seet kartaa karai ghaam tay kaadhai.
O’ mortal, it is the Creator who creates the pain of vices and the tranquility of meditation; He Himself pulls us out of the vices.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਰਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਠੰਢਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬਣਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਪਸ਼ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੱਢਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕੀਰੀ ਤੇ ਹਸਤੀ ਕਰੈ ਟੂਟਾ ਲੇ ਗਾਢੈ ॥੨॥
keeree tay hastee karai tootaa lay gaadhai. ||2||
God turns an ant like humble person into a powerful and honorable person like an elephant, and unites the separated one back with Him. ||2||
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕੀੜੀ (ਨਾਚੀਜ਼ ਜੀਵ ਤੋਂ) ਹਾਥੀ (ਮਾਣ-ਆਦਰ ਵਾਲਾ) ਬਣਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਟੁੱਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੰਢ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਅੰਡਜ ਜੇਰਜ ਸੇਤਜ ਉਤਭੁਜਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਇਹ ਕਿਰਤਿ ॥
andaj jayraj saytaj ut-bhujaa parabh kee ih kirat.
All the creation through eggs, placenta, sweat, and earth is the expanse of God.
ਅੰਡੇ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਏ ਜੀਵ, ਜਿਓਰ ਤੋਂ ਜੰਮੇ ਹੋਏ ਜੀਵ, ਪਸੀਨੇ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਏ ਜੀਵ, ਸਾਰੀ ਬਨਸਪਤੀ-ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਿਰਤ ਕਮਾਵਨ ਸਰਬ ਫਲ ਰਵੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਰਤਿ ॥੩॥
kirat kamaavan sarab fal ravee-ai har nirat. ||3||
While remaining detached from this creation, one should lovingly remember God; all aims of one’s life are fulfilled by doing this. ||3||
ਇਸ ਰਚਨਾ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਮੋਹ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ-ਇਹ ਕਮਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪੂਰੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
ਹਮ ਤੇ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਹੋਵਨਾ ਸਰਣਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਾਧ ॥
ham tay kachhoo na hovnaa saran parabh saaDh.
O’ God, we ourselves alone can do nothing; keep us in the Guru’s refuge.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਅਸਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ (ਸਾਨੂੰ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਾਈ ਰੱਖ।
ਮੋਹ ਮਗਨ ਕੂਪ ਅੰਧ ਤੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਕਾਢ ॥੪॥੩੦॥੬੦॥
moh magan koop anDh tay naanak gur kaadh. ||4||30||60||
O’ Nanak, always pray like this: O’ Guru, due to our ignorance, we remain drowned in the dark pit of worldly riches; pull us out of it. ||4||30||60||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰ-) ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ! ਅਸੀਂ ਜੀਵ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਡੁੱਬੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ, (ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਇਸ) ਹਨੇਰੇ ਖੂਹ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਲੈ ॥੪॥੩੦॥੬੦॥

ਖੋਜਤ ਖੋਜਤ ਮੈ ਫਿਰਾ ਖੋਜਉ ਬਨ ਥਾਨ ॥
khojat khojat mai firaa khoja-o ban thaan.
I am wandering around searching in the woods and other places,
ਲੱਭਦਾ ਲੱਭਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਹਰ ਪਾਸੇ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਕਈ ਜੰਗਲ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਥਾਂ ਖੋਜਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ,
ਅਛਲ ਅਛੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਐਸੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ ॥੧॥
achhal achhayd abhayd parabh aisay bhagvaan. ||1||
for God Who is imperishable, inscrutable and undeceivable by Maya. ||1||
ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਨਾਸ-ਰਹਿਤ ਹੈ,ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਭੇਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਛਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ ॥੧॥
ਕਬ ਦੇਖਉ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਨਾ ਆਤਮ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ॥
kab daykh-a-u parabh aapnaa aatam kai rang.
O’ my friend, I wonder when I would be able to see my God, the delight of my soul.
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਇਹ ਤਾਂਘ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਦੇ ਚਾਉ ਨਾਲ ਕਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਸਕਾਂਗਾ।
ਜਾਗਨ ਤੇ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਭਲਾ ਬਸੀਐ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੰਗਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jaagan tay supnaa bhalaa basee-ai parabh sang. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Better than being awake is the dream in which we can be with God. ||1||Pause|
ਜਾਗਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਨਾਲੋਂ (ਸੁੱਤੇ ਪਿਆਂ ਉਹ) ਸੁਪਨਾ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਸ ਸਕੀਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਬਰਨ ਆਸ੍ਰਮ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਸੁਨਉ ਦਰਸਨ ਕੀ ਪਿਆਸ ॥
baran aasram saastar sun-o darsan kee pi-aas.
I do listen to shastras about the four social classes and the four stages of life, but still my longing for the blessed vision of God remains unfulfilled.
ਮੈਂ ਚਹੁੰਆਂ ਵਰਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਚਹੁੰਆਂ ਆਸ਼੍ਰਮਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਭੀ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਪਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਦੀ ਲਾਲਸਾ ਬਣੀ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਰੂਪੁ ਨ ਰੇਖ ਨ ਪੰਚ ਤਤ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਅਬਿਨਾਸ ॥੨॥
roop na raykh na panch tat thaakur abinaas. ||2||
The imperishable Master-God has no form or feature, and He is not made of the five elements which we all are made of. ||2||
ਉਸ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਠਾਕੁਰ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਹ ਕੋਈ ਰੂਪ ਚਿਹਨ-ਚੱਕ੍ਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਉਹ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ) ਪੰਜ ਤੱਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਓਹੁ ਸਰੂਪੁ ਸੰਤਨ ਕਹਹਿ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਜੋਗੀਸੁਰ ॥
oh saroop santan kaheh virlay jogeesur.
Very rare are those saintly persons and great Yogis, who describe that God is featureless and formless.
ਉਹ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਜੋਗੀਰਾਜ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਹੀ (ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ) ਉਹ ਸਰੂਪ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ (ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਰੂਪ ਰੇਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ)।
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਮਿਲੇ ਧਨਿ ਧਨਿ ਤੇ ਈਸੁਰ ॥੩॥
kar kirpaa jaa ka-o milay Dhan Dhan tay eesur. ||3||
Very fortunate and of high caliber are those yogis whom God, showing His mercy, blesses with His vision. ||3||
ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਜੋਗੀ ਹਨ, ਉਹੋ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
ਸੋ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸੋ ਬਾਹਰੇ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਤਹ ਭਰਮਾ ॥
so antar so baahray binsay tah bharmaa.
They see God in all beings and outside in nature as well, and all their doubts are dispelled.
ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਭੀ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਰਮ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਰਮਾ ॥੪॥੩੧॥੬੧॥
naanak tis parabh bhayti-aa jaa kay pooran karmaa. ||4||31||61||
O’ Nanak, that person whose destiny is perfect, realizes God. ||4||31||61||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਭਾਗ ਹਨ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੩੧॥੬੧॥

ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸੁਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਭਏ ਦੇਖਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਰਤਾਪ ॥
jee-a jant suparsan bha-ay daykh parabh partaap.
All beings and creatures have become totally pleased on seeing the glory of God,
ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ ਜਂਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਨਿਹਾਲ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ,
ਕਰਜੁ ਉਤਾਰਿਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਿ ਆਹਰੁ ਆਪ ॥੧॥
karaj utaari-aa satguroo kar aahar aap. ||1||
Making an effort by himself, my true Guru has discharged my debt of fulfilling the obligations of preaching the divine word. ||1||
ਖੁਦ ਉਪਰਾਲਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਮੇਰੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਕਰਜ਼ (ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਹ ਚਲਾਣ ਦੀ ਜ਼ੁਮੇਵਾਰੀ) ਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਖਾਤ ਖਰਚਤ ਨਿਬਹਤ ਰਹੈ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੁ ਅਖੂਟ ॥
khaat kharchat nibhat rahai gur sabad akhoot.
The Guru’s divine word is such a spiritual food that it never runs out even after eating and expending to others.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਇਕ ਐਸਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਭੋਜਨ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਆਪ ਖਾਂਦਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੰਡਦਿਆਂ ਕਦੇ ਮੁੱਕਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ।
ਪੂਰਨ ਭਈ ਸਮਗਰੀ ਕਬਹੂ ਨਹੀ ਤੂਟ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
pooran bha-ee samagree kabhoo nahee toot. ||1|| rahaa-o.
This commodity always remains intact, it never diminishes. ||1||Pause||
ਇਸ ਰਸਦ ਦੇ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਭਰੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਇਸ ਰਸਦ ਵਿਚ ਕਦੇ ਭੀ ਤੋਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਆਰਾਧਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਧਿ ਆਪਾਰ ॥
saaDhsang aaraaDhnaa har niDh aapaar.
We should lovingly remember God in the company of the Guru; Naam is an infinite treasure.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਇਕ ਐਸਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੁੱਕਦਾ।
ਧਰਮ ਅਰਥ ਅਰੁ ਕਾਮ ਮੋਖ ਦੇਤੇ ਨਹੀ ਬਾਰ ॥੨॥
Dharam arath ar kaam mokh daytay nahee baar. ||2||
He does not hesitate to bless one with faith, wealth, fulfillment of desires and liberation from vices. ||2||
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਰ ਅਮੋਲਕ ਪਦਾਰਥ (ਧਰਮ, ਅਰਥ, ਕਾਮ, ਮੋਖ) ਦੇਂਦਿਆਂ ਚਿਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਾਂਦਾ ॥੨॥
ਭਗਤ ਅਰਾਧਹਿ ਏਕ ਰੰਗਿ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੁਪਾਲ ॥
bhagat araaDheh ayk rang gobind gupaal.
The devotees of God, the Master of the universe, meditate on Him with single-minded love and devotion.
ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੁਪਾਲ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਇਕ-ਚਿੱਤ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਧਨੁ ਸੰਚਿਆ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਨਹੀ ਸੁਮਾਰੁ ॥੩॥
raam naam Dhan sanchi-aa jaa kaa nahee sumaar. ||3||
They amass the wealth of God’s Name, which cannot be estimated. ||3||
ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਧਨ (ਇਤਨਾ) ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੩॥
ਸਰਨਿ ਪਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰੀਆ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥
saran paray parabh tayree-aa parabh kee vadi-aa-ee.
O’ God, Your devotees seek Your refuge and keep singing Your praise.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੇ ਭਗਤ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਏ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਗੁਸਾਈ ॥੪॥੩੨॥੬੨॥
naanak ant na paa-ee-ai bay-ant gusaa-ee. ||4||32||62||
O’ Nanak, God, Master of the universe, has infinite virtues, the limits of which cannot be found. ||4||32||62||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਖਸਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੪॥੩੨॥੬੨॥

ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕਾਰਜ ਭਏ ਰਾਸਿ ॥
simar simar pooran parabhoo kaaraj bha-ay raas.
By always remembering the perfect God with adoration, all the tasks of a person are successfully accomplished.
ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਦਾ ਨਾਮ) ਸਿਮਰ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਸਫਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਕਰਤਾਰ ਪੁਰਿ ਕਰਤਾ ਵਸੈ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੈ ਪਾਸਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
kartaar pur kartaa vasai santan kai paas. ||1|| rahaa-o.
God dwells in the holy congregation, along with His saints. ||1||Pause||
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਆਪ) ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਬਿਘਨੁ ਨ ਕੋਊ ਲਾਗਤਾ ਗੁਰ ਪਹਿ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ॥
bighan na ko-oo laagtaa gur peh ardaas.
No obstacle comes in the way of those who pray to the Guru.
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦੀ।
ਰਖਵਾਲਾ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਰਾਇ ਭਗਤਨ ਕੀ ਰਾਸਿ ॥੧॥
rakhvaalaa gobind raa-ay bhagtan kee raas. ||1||
The sovereign God of the universe is the savior and the spiritual wealth of His devotees. ||1||
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦਾ (ਸਦਾ) ਆਪ ਰਾਖਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਦਾ ਨਾਮ) ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਰਮਾਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
