ਪੂਰੀ ਭਈ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ॥੩॥
pooree bha-ee simar simar biDhaataa. ||3||
All objectives of the devotee have been fulfilled by always lovingly meditating on the Creator-God. ||3||
ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪੂਰੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਨਕਿ ਰੰਗੁ ਮਾਣਿਆ ॥
saaDhsang naanak rang maani-aa.
Nanak has enjoyed the bliss in the company of the Guru.
ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ (ਤਾਂ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ,
ਘਰਿ ਆਇਆ ਪੂਰੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਆਣਿਆ ॥੪॥੧੨॥੧੭॥
ghar aa-i-aa poorai gur aani-aa. ||4||12||17||
My mind has now come to its own abode (heart) where God dwells; it is the perfect Guru, who has brought it home. ||4||12||17||
ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਰੂਪੀ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਲਿਆਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧੨॥੧੭॥

Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl:
ਸ੍ਰਬ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਪੂਰਨ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sarab niDhaan pooran gurdayv. ||1|| rahaa-o.
The perfect divine Guru has all the treasures of virtues. ||1||Pause||
ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਰੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਨਰ ਜੀਵੇ ॥
har har naam japat nar jeevay.
By meditating on God’s Name, the person remains spiritually alive.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਨਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਲੱਭ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਮਰਿ ਖੁਆਰੁ ਸਾਕਤ ਨਰ ਥੀਵੇ ॥੧॥
mar khu-aar saakat nar theevay. ||1||
But the faithless cynics become spiritually dead and endure misery. ||1||
ਪਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਟੁੱਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਸਹੇੜ ਕੇ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੋਆ ਰਖਵਾਰਾ ॥
raam naam ho-aa rakhvaaraa.
God’s Name becomes the protector of the Guru’s follower.
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਰਾਖਾ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਝਖ ਮਾਰਉ ਸਾਕਤੁ ਵੇਚਾਰਾ ॥੨॥
jhakh maara-o saakat vaychaaraa. ||2||
The wretched, faithless cynic makes futile efforts (to harm him). ||2||
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਟੁੱਟਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਿਚਾਰਾ (ਉਸ ਦੀ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਆਦਿਕ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਪਿਆ ਝਖਾਂ ਮਾਰੇ (ਉਸ ਦਾ ਕੁਝ ਵਿਗਾੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ) ॥੨॥
ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਪਚਹਿ ਘਨੇਰੇ ॥
nindaa kar kar pacheh ghanayray.
Many people have been ruined by always slandering the Guru’s followers.
ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਬੰਦੇ (ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ) ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਸਗੋਂ) ਖਿੱਝਦੇ ਹੀ ਹਨ।
ਮਿਰਤਕ ਫਾਸ ਗਲੈ ਸਿਰਿ ਪੈਰੇ ॥੩॥
mirtak faas galai sir pairay. ||3||
These spiritually dead slanderers are always in the grip of the fear of death as if they have shackles around their neck, head and feet. ||3||
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਗਲ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਾਹੀਆਂ ਪਈਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਪਹਿ ਜਨ ਨਾਮ ॥
kaho naanak jaapeh jan naam.
Nanak says, the humble devotees who meditate on Naam,
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਬੇ-ਸ਼ੱਕ) ਆਖ-ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਤਾ ਕੇ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਜਾਮ ॥੪॥੧੩॥੧੮॥
taa kay nikat na aavai jaam. ||4||13||18||
the demon of death doesn’t come even near them. ||4||13||18||
ਜਮ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਢੁਕ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੪॥੧੩॥੧੮॥

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik-oNkaar satgur parsaad.
One eternal God, realized by the grace of the True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਵਨ ਸੰਜੋਗ ਮਿਲਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਪਨੇ ॥
kavan sanjog mila-o parabh apnay.
What is that auspicious moment, when I could realize my God?
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਹ ਕੇਹੜਾ ਮੁਹੂਰਤ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਾਂ?
ਪਲੁ ਪਲੁ ਨਿਮਖ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਨੇ ॥੧॥
pal pal nimakh sadaa har japnay. ||1||
God can be realized by always remembering Him at each and every moment. ||1||
ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ, ਇਕ ਇਕ ਪਲ, ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਨਾਲ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੧॥
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇ ਨਿਤ ਧਿਆਵਉ ॥
charan kamal parabh kay nit Dhi-aava-o.
I always contemplate on God’s Name.
ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ?
ਕਵਨ ਸੁ ਮਤਿ ਜਿਤੁ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਪਾਵਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
kavan so mat jit pareetam paava-o. ||1|| rahaa-o.
What is that sublime intellect through which I may realize my beloved God? ||1||Pause||
ਉਹ ਕੇਹੜੀ ਸੁਚੱਜੀ ਮਤਿ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਾਂ? ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਐਸੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ॥
aisee kirpaa karahu parabh mayray.
O’ my God, bestow such grace on me,
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ) ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ,
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਿਸਰੁ ਨ ਕਾਹੂ ਬੇਰੇ ॥੨॥੧॥੧੯॥
har naanak bisar na kaahoo bayray. ||2||1||19||
that I, Nanak, may never, ever forget You. ||2||1||19||
ਕਿ, ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਕਦੇ ਭੀ ਨਾਹ ਭੁੱਲੇ ॥੨॥੧॥੧੯॥

ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਧਿਆਏ ॥
charan kamal parabh hirdai Dhi-aa-ay.
One who contemplated on God’s immaculate Name in his heart,
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ) ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰਨਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ,
ਰੋਗ ਗਏ ਸਗਲੇ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਏ ॥੧॥
rog ga-ay saglay sukh paa-ay. ||1||
all his afflictions vanished and he received all comfort and celestial peace. ||1||
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰੋਗ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਏ ॥੧॥
ਗੁਰਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਕਾਟਿਆ ਦੀਨੋ ਦਾਨੁ ॥
gur dukh kaati-aa deeno daan.
The Guru destroyed all the sorrows of the person whom he blessed the gift of Naam.
ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ (ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ) ਦਾਤ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਭੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਸਫਲ ਜਨਮੁ ਜੀਵਨ ਪਰਵਾਨੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
safal janam jeevan parvaan. ||1|| rahaa-o.
His advent in this world was rendered fruitful and his life approved both here and hereafter. ||1||Pause||
ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਹੋ ਗਈ, (ਲੋਕ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ) ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਕਬੂਲ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਅਕਥ ਕਥਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਾਨੀ ॥
akath kathaa amrit parabh baanee.
The indescribable divine words of God’s praises are spiritually rejuvenating.
ਬੇਅੰਤ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ।
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਪਿ ਜੀਵੇ ਗਿਆਨੀ ॥੨॥੨॥੨੦॥
kaho naanak jap jeevay gi-aanee. ||2||2||20||
Nanak says, the divinely wise person spiritually lives by meditating on God with loving devotion. ||2||2||20||
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਬ੍ਰਹਿਮ ਬੇਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੨॥੨੦॥

ਸਾਂਤਿ ਪਾਈ ਗੁਰਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੇ ॥
saaNt paa-ee gur satgur pooray.
One who is blessed with peace and tranquility by the perfect Guru,
ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ, ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ (ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਠੰਡ ਵਰਤਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ,
ਸੁਖ ਉਪਜੇ ਬਾਜੇ ਅਨਹਦ ਤੂਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sukh upjay baajay anhad tooray. ||1|| rahaa-o.
all comforts and joy welled up within him as if non-stop melodies started vibrating within him. ||1||Pause||
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਮਾਨੋ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਾਜੇ ਵੱਜਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਤਾਪ ਪਾਪ ਸੰਤਾਪ ਬਿਨਾਸੇ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਸਭਿ ਨਾਸੇ ॥੧॥
taap paap santaap binaasay. har simrat kilvikh sabh naasay. ||1||
By remembering God with adoration, all his afflictions, sufferings, and sins vanished. ||1||
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਿਆਂ ਸਿਮਰਦਿਆਂ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ ॥੧॥
ਅਨਦੁ ਕਰਹੁ ਮਿਲਿ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਨਾਰੀ ॥
anad karahu mil sundar naaree.
O’ my beautiful sensory organs, now by joining together enjoy the bliss.
ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ (ਬਣ ਚੁਕੇ) ਮੇਰੇ ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਓ! ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੁਣ ਰਲ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣੋ ।
ਗੁਰਿ ਨਾਨਕਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਪੈਜ ਸਵਾਰੀ ॥੨॥੩॥੨੧॥
gur naanak mayree paij savaaree. ||2||3||21||
Guru Nanak has embellished my honor. ||2||3||21||
ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਰੱਖ ਲਈ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੩॥੨੧॥

ਮਮਤਾ ਮੋਹ ਧ੍ਰੋਹ ਮਦਿ ਮਾਤਾ ਬੰਧਨਿ ਬਾਧਿਆ ਅਤਿ ਬਿਕਰਾਲ ॥
mamtaa moh Dharoh mad maataa banDhan baaDhi-aa at bikraal.
Intoxicated with undue emotional attachment and deceit, and bound in the bonds of love of worldly riches and power, one looks very dreadful.
ਅਪਣੱਤ, ਮੋਹ ਤੇ ਠੱਗੀ-ਚਾਲਾਕੀ ਦੇ ਮਦ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਜਕੜ ਨਾਲ ਬੱਝਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਜੀਵ ਬਹੁਤ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਦਿਨੁ ਦਿਨੁ ਛਿਜਤ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਕਰਤ ਅਉਧ ਫਾਹੀ ਫਾਥਾ ਜਮ ਕੈ ਜਾਲ ॥੧॥
din din chhijat bikaar karat a-oDh faahee faathaa jam kai jaal. ||1||
Committing sins day after day, one’s life is diminishing and one is caught in the noose of the demon of death.||1||
ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਘਟਦੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਜਮ ਦੀ ਫਾਹੀ ਵਿਚ ਜਮ ਦੇ ਜਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਫਸਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥
tayree saran parabh deen da-i-aalaa.
O’ merciful God of the meek, I have come to Your refuge.
ਹੇ ਦੀਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ।
ਮਹਾ ਬਿਖਮ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਅਤਿ ਭਾਰੀ ਉਧਰਹੁ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਵਾਲਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
mahaa bikham saagar at bhaaree uDhrahu saaDhoo sang ravaalaa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
This world-ocean is very dreadful and extremely difficult to cross; O’ God, ferry me across by blessing me with humility and the company of the saints. ||1||Pause||
ਇਹ (ਸੰਸਾਰ-) ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈ, (ਇਸ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਣਾ) ਬੜਾ ਔਖਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ (ਰੱਖ ਕੇ) ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨ-ਧੂੜ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਡੁੱਬਣੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੁਖਦਾਤੇ ਸਮਰਥ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਸਭੁ ਤੁਮਰਾ ਮਾਲ ॥
parabh sukh-daatay samrath su-aamee jee-o pind sabh tumraa maal.
O’ God! the all-powerful Master, bestower of bliss, all this life, body and worldly wealth belong to You.
ਹੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ, ਅਤੇ ਸਰਬ-ਸ਼ਕਤੀਵਾਨ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਇਹ ਜਿੰਦ ਤੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਅਤੇ ਦੌਲਤ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਹਨ।
ਭ੍ਰਮ ਕੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਕਾਟਹੁ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਦਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ॥੨॥੪॥੨੨॥
bharam kay banDhan kaatahu parmaysar naanak kay parabh sadaa kirpaal. ||2||4||22||
O’ the ever merciful God of Nanak, cut off the bonds of doubt of the people. ||2||4||22||

Raag Bilaaval, Fifth Guru:
ਸਗਲ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਕੀਆ ਪਰਮੇਸਰਿ ਅਪਣਾ ਬਿਰਦੁ ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰਿਆ ॥
sagal anand kee-aa parmaysar apnaa birad samHaari-a.
God has fulfilled His innate nature and spread bliss all around.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੁੱਢ-ਕਦੀਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਸਦਾ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਿਸਮ ਦਾ ਸੁਖ-ਆਨੰਦ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਾਧ ਜਨਾ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ਬਿਗਸੇ ਸਭਿ ਪਰਵਾਰਿਆ ॥੧॥
saaDh janaa ho-ay kirpaalaa bigsay sabh parvaari-aa. ||1||
God has become merciful to the saintly devotees and all their family members blossom in joy. ||1||
ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਵਾਰ ਆਨੰਦ-ਭਰਪੂਰ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
ਕਾਰਜੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਸਵਾਰਿਆ ॥

The true Guru himself has accomplished this task.
ਇਹ ਕੰਮ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਿਰੇ ਚਾੜ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
