ਨਾਨਕ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਵੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੀ ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
naanak rang ravai rang raatee jin har saytee chit laa-i-aa. ||3||
O’ Nanak, the soul-bride who has attuned her mind to God, imbued with His love, she always remembers Him with loving devotion. ||3||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨ ਜੋੜ ਲਿਆ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਕਾਮਣਿ ਮਨਿ ਸੋਹਿਲੜਾ ਸਾਜਨ ਮਿਲੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
kaaman man sohilrhaa saajan milay pi-aaray raam.
The soul-bride, who gets united with her beloved Husband-God, she feels blissful as if a hymn of joy keeps playing in her heart.
ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਸੱਜਣ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਆ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਖਿਆ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
gurmatee man nirmal ho-aa har raakhi-aa ur Dhaaray raam.
Through the Guru’s teachings, her mind becomes immaculate and she enshrines God within her heart.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਹਰਿ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਟਿਕਾ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਰਾਖਿਆ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰੇ ਅਪਨਾ ਕਾਰਜੁ ਸਵਾਰੇ ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਤਾ ॥
har raakhi-aa ur Dhaaray apnaa kaaraj savaaray gurmatee har jaataa.
By keeping God enshrined in her mind, she accomplishes the objective of her life because she has realized God through the Guru’s teachings.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾ ਕੇ,ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਵਨ-ਮਨੋਰਥ ਸੰਵਾਰ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾ ਲਈ ਹੈ।
ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮਿ ਮੋਹਿ ਲਇਆ ਮਨੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਕਰਮ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ॥
pareetam mohi la-i-aa man mayraa paa-i-aa karam biDhaataa.
The beloved-God has enticed her self-conceited mind and she has realized the Creator-God.
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਜੋ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮਮਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ, ਤੇ, ਉਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ।
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਮੰਨਿ ਮੁਰਾਰੇ ॥
satgur sayv sadaa sukh paa-i-aa har vasi-aa man muraaray.
By following the true Guru she has always enjoyed the celestial peace because God has manifested in her heart.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੇ ਸਦਾ-ਆਤਮਕ ਸੁਖ ਮਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੁਰਾਰੀ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਮੇਲਿ ਲਈ ਗੁਰਿ ਅਪੁਨੈ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥੪॥੫॥੬॥
naanak mayl la-ee gur apunai gur kai sabad savaaray. ||4||5||6||
O’ Nanak, she has embellished her life through the Guru’s word, and the Guru has united her with God’s Name. ||4||5||6||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਪਿਆਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੫॥੬॥

Raag Suhee, Third Guru:
ਸੋਹਿਲੜਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਵੀਚਾਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
sohilrhaa har raam naam gur sabdee veechaaray raam.
One who reflects on God’s Name by attuning his mind to the Guru’s word, he feels so blissful as if song of joy keeps playing in his heart.
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਚਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਨੰਦ ਦੀ ਲਹਿਰ ਚੱਲੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਭੀਜੈ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
har man tano gurmukh bheejai raam naam pi-aaray raam.
By following the Guru’s teachings, his mind and heart becomes imbued with God’s love and he falls in love with God’s Name.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਭਿੱਜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਸਭਿ ਕੁਲ ਉਧਾਰੇ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੁਖਿ ਬਾਣੀ ॥
raam naam pi-aaray sabh kul uDhaaray raam naam mukh banee.
Yes, he loves God’s Name, utters His Name and hymns of His praises, and redeems his entire lineage from the vices.
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾਲ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੁਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣ ਰਹੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਘਰਿ ਅਨਹਦ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਸਮਾਣੀ ॥
aavan jaan rahay sukh paa-i-aa ghar anhad surat samaanee.
His cycle of birth and death ends, he enjoys celestial peace in his heart and his consciousness remains absorbed in the non stop divine melody.
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੁਰਤ ਬੈਕੁੰਠੀ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਏਕੋ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੇ ॥
har har ayko paa-i-aa har parabh naanak kirpaa Dhaaray.
O’ Nanak, God bestows mercy on him and he realizes the one and only God.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸੋਹਿਲੜਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਵੀਚਾਰੇ ॥੧॥

ਹਮ ਨੀਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਤਿ ਊਚਾ ਕਿਉ ਕਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਜਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥
ham neevee parabh at oochaa ki-o kar mili-aa jaa-ay raam.
We, the soul-bride, are of low spiritual status because of our vices but God is extremely virtuous; therefore, how can we unite with Him?
ਅਸੀਂ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਨੀਵੀਂ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੇ ਹਾਂ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਇਸ ਪੱਧਰ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਉੱਚਾ ਹੈ, ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਹੋਵੇਂ?
ਗੁਰਿ ਮੇਲੀ ਬਹੁ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥
gur maylee baho kirpaa Dhaaree har kai sabad subhaa-ay raam.
The soul-bride on whom the Guru bestowed mercy and united her with God’s Name; she becomes absorbed in God’s love through the Guru’s word.
ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਜੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਹ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਮਿਲੁ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਏ ਰੰਗ ਸਿਉ ਰਲੀਆ ਮਾਣੇ ॥
mil sabad subhaa-ay aap gavaa-ay rang si-o ralee-aa maanay.
Yes, imbued with God’s love through the Guru’s word, she eradicates her ego and lovingly rejoices His company.
ਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਹ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ (ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਮਾਣਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਸੇਜ ਸੁਖਾਲੀ ਜਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਭਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਣੇ ॥
sayj sukhaalee jaa parabh bhaa-i-aa har har naam samaanay.
When God becomes pleasing to her, she feels delighted and then she remains absorbed in God’s Name.
ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਦੀ ਸੇਜ ਆਨੰਦ-ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋਹਾਗਣਿ ਸਾ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਜੇ ਚਲੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਭਾਏ ॥
naanak sohagan saa vadbhaagee jay chalai satgur bhaa-ay.
O’ Nanak, the soul-bride who lives in accordance with the true Guru’s will becomes very fortunate.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸੁਹਾਗ-ਭਾਗ ਵਾਲੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਤੁਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਘਟਿ ਘਟੇ ਸਭਨਾ ਵਿਚਿ ਏਕੋ ਏਕੋ ਰਾਮ ਭਤਾਰੋ ਰਾਮ ॥
ghat ghatay sabhnaa vich ayko ayko raam bhataaro raam.
O’ my friends,the same one Master-God is pervading all beings.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ, ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਖਸਮ ਹੀ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਕਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਦੂਰਿ ਵਸੈ ਇਕਨਾ ਮਨਿ ਆਧਾਰੋ ਰਾਮ ॥
iknaa parabh door vasai iknaa man aaDhaaro raam.
But to some God seems residing far off and for others, He is the very support of their mind.
ਪਰ, ਕਈ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕਿਤੇ ਦੂਰ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਜਾਪਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਕਈ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਕਨਾ ਮਨ ਆਧਾਰੋ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰੋ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
iknaa man aaDhaaro sirjanhaaro vadbhaagee gur paa-i-aa.
Yes, to some the Creator-God is the anchor of their mind; by good fortune they have realized Him through the Guru’s teachings.
ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਕਈ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੈ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ) ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਏਕੋ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਅਲਖੁ ਲਖਾਇਆ ॥
ghat ghat har parabh ayko su-aamee gurmukh alakh lakhaa-i-aa.
The Master-God pervades each and every heart; the incomprehensible God is realized through the Guru.
ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਨਾ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਮਝ ਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਹਜੇ ਅਨਦੁ ਹੋਆ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਬੀਚਾਰੋ ॥
sehjay anad ho-aa man maani-aa naanak barahm beechaaro.
O’ Nanak, by reflecting on the divine wisdom, one’s mind intuitively becomes blissful and convinced,
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਦੀ ਵੀਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਅਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਤਸੱਲੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ,
ਘਟਿ ਘਟੇ ਸਭਨਾ ਵਿਚਿ ਏਕੋ ਏਕੋ ਰਾਮ ਭਤਾਰੋ ਰਾਮ ॥੩॥
ghat ghatay sabhnaa vich ayko ayko raam bhataaro raam. ||3||
that the same one Master-God is dwelling in all beings. ||3||
ਕੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਖਸਮ ਹੀ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਨਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
gur sayvan satgur daataa har har naam samaa-i-aa raam.
Those who follow the teachings of the benefactor Guru, emain absorbed in God’s Name.
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਹਰਿ ਧੂੜਿ ਦੇਵਹੁ ਮੈ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਹਮ ਪਾਪੀ ਮੁਕਤੁ ਕਰਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥

O’ God, bless me with your grace so that I may follow the teachings of the perfect Guru who liberates even the sinners like us from the vices.
ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼! ਗੁਰੂ ਅਸਾਂ ਪਾਪੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਾਪੀ ਮੁਕਤੁ ਕਰਾਏ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਏ ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਵਾਸਾ ॥
paapee mukat karaa-ay aap gavaa-ay nij ghar paa-i-aa vaasaa.
Yes, the Guru liberates even the sinners from the vices, they eradicate their egoand realize God in their own heart.
ਗੁਰੂ ਵਿਕਾਰੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸੁਤੰਤਰ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਬਿਬੇਕ ਬੁਧੀ ਸੁਖਿ ਰੈਣਿ ਵਿਹਾਣੀ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸਾ ॥
bibayk buDhee sukh rain vihaanee gurmat naam pargaasaa.
Their minds are illuminated by lovingly remembering God through the Guru’s teachings; the night of their life passes in peace through the discerning intellect.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਦਾ ਸਦਕਾ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਚਾਨਣ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਚੰਗੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਦੀ ਪਰਖ ਕਰ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਕਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੀ ਰਾਤ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਬੀਤਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅਨਦੁ ਭਇਆ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਮੀਠ ਲਗਾਏ ॥
har har anad bha-i-aa din raatee naanak har meeth lagaa-ay.
O’ Nanak, those to whom God’s Name seems sweet, they always remain blissful.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂਨੂੰ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਨਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਏ ॥੪॥੬॥੭॥੫॥੭॥੧੨॥
gur sayvan satgur daataa har har naam samaa-ay. ||4||6||7||5||7||12||
Those who follow the teachings of the benefactor Guru, emain absorbed in God’s Name. ||4||6||7||5||7||12||
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋਏ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੪॥੬॥੭॥੫॥੭॥੧੨॥
