ਹੈ ਤੂਹੈ ਤੂ ਹੋਵਨਹਾਰ ॥
hai toohai too hovanhaar.
O’ God, You and You alone are present everywhere and You always will be.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਤੂੰ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਅਗਮ ਅਗਾਧਿ ਊਚ ਆਪਾਰ ॥
agam agaaDh ooch aapaar.
O’ inaccessible, unfathomable, highest of the High and infinite God!
ਹੇ ਅਪਹੁੰਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਅਥਾਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਤੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!
ਜੋ ਤੁਧੁ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਤਿਨ ਭਉ ਦੁਖੁ ਨਾਹਿ ॥
jo tuDh sayveh tin bha-o dukh naahi.
Those who lovingly remember You, are not afflicted by any fear or suffering.
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਡਰ ਕੋਈ ਦੁੱਖ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਹਿ ॥੨॥
gur parsaad naanak gun gaahi. ||2||
O’ Nanak, by the Guru’s grace, they sing the praises of God. ||2||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
ਜੋ ਦੀਸੈ ਸੋ ਤੇਰਾ ਰੂਪੁ ॥
jo deesai so tayraa roop.
Whatever is seen, is Your manifestation,
(ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈ,
ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਅਨੂਪ ॥
gun niDhaan govind anoop.
O’ the treasure of virtue and the beautiful master of the universe.
ਹੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ! ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ!
ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਜਨ ਸੋਇ ॥
simar simar simar jan so-ay.
O’ the devotee of God, always remember Him with loving devotion.
ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ! ਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹੁ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਰਮਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਇ ॥੩॥
naanak karam paraapat ho-ay. ||3||
O’ Nanak, it is only by God’s grace that one is blessed with the opportunity to remember Him.
||3|| ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਜਿਨਿ ਜਪਿਆ ਤਿਸ ਕਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰ ॥
jin japi-aa tis ka-o balihaar.
O’ brother, we should dedicate ourselves to the one who meditated on God.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ l
ਤਿਸ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਤਰੈ ਸੰਸਾਰ ॥
tis kai sang tarai sansaar.
Everyone in his company, swims across the worldly ocean of vices.
ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਲੋਚਾ ਪੂਰਿ ॥
kaho naanak parabh lochaa poor.
Nanak says, O’ God, please fulfil this aspiration of mine,
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੇਰੀ ਤਾਂਘ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰ,
ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਬਾਛਉ ਧੂਰਿ ॥੪॥੨॥
sant janaa kee baachha-o Dhoor. ||4||2||
that I long for the dust of the feet (humble service) of Your saints. ||4||2||
ਮੈਂ (ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰ ਤੋਂ) ਤੇਰੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੪॥੨॥

Raag Tilang, Fifth Guru, Third Beat:
ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨੁ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨੁ ॥
miharvaan saahib miharvaan.
O’ brother, God is merciful, Yes the Master-God is very kind.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਸਦਾ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਸਦਾ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ,
ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨੁ ॥
saahib mayraa miharvaan.
My Master God is merciful.
ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਦਾ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
ਜੀਅ ਸਗਲ ਕਉ ਦੇਇ ਦਾਨੁ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jee-a sagal ka-o day-ay daan. rahaa-o.
He provides sustenance to all living beings. ||Pause||
ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਸਭ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦਾ) ਦਾਨ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਤੂ ਕਾਹੇ ਡੋਲਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀਆ ਤੁਧੁ ਰਾਖੈਗਾ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰੁ ॥
too kaahay doleh paraanee-aa tuDh raakhaigaa sirjanhaar.
O’ mortal, why do you waver? For sure, the Creator would protect you.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਤੂੰ ਕਿਉਂ ਘਬਰਾਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ? ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੇਰੀ (ਜ਼ਰੂਰ) ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
ਜਿਨਿ ਪੈਦਾਇਸਿ ਤੂ ਕੀਆ ਸੋਈ ਦੇਇ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥੧॥
jin paidaa-is too kee-aa so-ee day-ay aaDhaar. ||1||
That God who created you, would also provide you the sustenance. ||1||
ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਹਾਰ ਵੀ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ॥੧॥
ਜਿਨਿ ਉਪਾਈ ਮੇਦਨੀ ਸੋਈ ਕਰਦਾ ਸਾਰ ॥
jin upaa-ee maydnee so-ee kardaa saar.
The One who created the world, takes care of it.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ (ਇਸ ਦੀ) ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਮਾਲਕੁ ਦਿਲਾ ਕਾ ਸਚਾ ਪਰਵਦਗਾਰੁ ॥੨॥
ghat ghat maalak dilaa kaa sachaa parvardagaar. ||2||
The true sustainer God pervades all and is the Master of all hearts. ||2||
ਉਹ ਸੱਚਾ ਪਾਲਣ-ਪੋਸਣਹਾਰ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ) ਦਿਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਕੀਮ ਨ ਜਾਣੀਐ ਵਡਾ ਵੇਪਰਵਾਹੁ ॥
kudrat keem na jaanee-ai vadaa vayparvaahu.
The worth of God’s creation cannot be understood; He is magnanimous and carefree
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਸ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੀ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ, ਉਹ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਮੁਥਾਜੀ ਨਹੀਂ।
ਕਰਿ ਬੰਦੇ ਤੂ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਜਿਚਰੁ ਘਟ ਮਹਿ ਸਾਹੁ ॥੩॥
kar banday too bandagee jichar ghat meh saahu. ||3||
O’ Mortal, as long as there is breath in your body. meditate on God. ||3||
ਹੇ ਬੰਦੇ! ਜਿਤਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਆਸ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਤਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਉਸ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੀ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹੁ ॥੩॥
ਤੂ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਅਕਥੁ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਤੇਰੀ ਰਾਸਿ ॥
too samrath akath agochar jee-o pind tayree raas.
O’ God, You are all-powerful, inexpressible and imperceptible; this soul and body are Your blessings
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇਰੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਦਾ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ, ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਤਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ। (ਅਸਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਹ) ਸਰੀਰ ਤੇ ਜਿੰਦ ਤੇਰੀ ਹੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਪੂੰਜੀ ਹੈ।
ਰਹਮ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਦਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ॥੪॥੩॥
raham tayree sukh paa-i-aa sadaa naanak kee ardaas. ||4||3||
By Your Mercy, one receives spiritual peace; Nanak also prays for that spiritual peace. ||4||3||
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ) ਸੁਖ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਨਾਨਕ ਦੀ ਭੀ ਸਦਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਇਹੀ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਹੈ (ਕਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਸੁਖ ਮਿਲੇ) ॥੪॥੩॥

ਕਰਤੇ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਮੁਸਤਾਕੁ ॥
kartay kudratee mustaak.
O’ Creator, seeing Your creation, I have fallen in love with You.
ਹੇ ਕਰਤਾਰ! ਤੇਰੀ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਦਾ ਚਾਹਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ।
ਦੀਨ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਏਕ ਤੂਹੀ ਸਭ ਖਲਕ ਹੀ ਤੇ ਪਾਕੁ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
deen dunee-aa ayk toohee sabh khalak hee tay paak. rahaa-o.
You alone are my spiritual and temporal Master; and yet, You are detached from the entire creation. ||Pause||
ਮੇਰੀ ਦੀਨ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਇਕ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰੀ ਖ਼ਲਕਤ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਖਿਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਥਾਪਿ ਉਥਾਪਦਾ ਆਚਰਜ ਤੇਰੇ ਰੂਪ ॥
khin maahi thaap uthaapadaa aacharaj tayray roop.
O’ God, You create and destroy anything in a moment and astounding are Your manifestations
ਹੇ ਕਰਤਾਰ! ਤੂੰ ਇਕ ਛਿਨ ਵਿਚ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਨਾਸ ਭੀ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੂਰਪ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ।
ਕਉਣੁ ਜਾਣੈ ਚਲਤ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਧਿਆਰੇ ਮਹਿ ਦੀਪ ॥੧॥
ka-un jaanai chalat tayray anDhi-aaray meh deep. ||1||
Who can understand Your plays? You are the divine light for the people in the darkness of spiritual ignorance. ||1||
ਤੇਰੇ ਕੌਤਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੌਣ ਸਮਝ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਅਗਿਆਨਤਾ ਦੇ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਵਿਚ ਤੂੰ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਚਾਨਣ ਹੈਂ ॥੧॥
ਖੁਦਿ ਖਸਮ ਖਲਕ ਜਹਾਨ ਅਲਹ ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨ ਖੁਦਾਇ ॥
khud khasam khalak jahaan alah miharvaan khudaa-ay.
O’ the merciful God, You Yourself are the Master of the entire universe.
ਹੇ ਅੱਲਾ! ਹੇ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਖ਼ੁਦਾਇ! ਸਾਰੀ ਖ਼ਲਕਤ ਦਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਹਾਨ ਦਾ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈਂ।
ਦਿਨਸੁ ਰੈਣਿ ਜਿ ਤੁਧੁ ਅਰਾਧੇ ਸੋ ਕਿਉ ਦੋਜਕਿ ਜਾਇ ॥੨॥
dinas rain je tuDh araaDhay so ki-o dojak jaa-ay. ||2||
How can that person go to hell, who always lovingly remembers You. ||2||
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਰਾਧਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਦੋਜ਼ਕ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ॥੨॥
ਅਜਰਾਈਲੁ ਯਾਰੁ ਬੰਦੇ ਜਿਸੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥
ajraa-eel yaar banday jis tayraa aaDhaar.
O’ God, one who has Your support, even Azrael, the angel of death becomes his friend.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਫ਼ਰਿਸ਼ਤਾ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ l
ਗੁਨਹ ਉਸ ਕੇ ਸਗਲ ਆਫੂ ਤੇਰੇ ਜਨ ਦੇਖਹਿ ਦੀਦਾਰੁ ॥੩॥
gunah us kay sagal aafoo tayray jan daykheh deedaar. ||3||
All the sins of Your those devotees are forgiven, who experience Your blessed vision. ||3||
ਤੇਰੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਤੇਰਾ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
ਦੁਨੀਆ ਚੀਜ ਫਿਲਹਾਲ ਸਗਲੇ ਸਚੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਉ ॥
dunee-aa cheej filhaal saglay sach sukh tayraa naa-o.
O’ God! everything in the world is short lived; everlasting spiritual peace comes from Your Name alone.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ। ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੁਖ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਬੂਝਿਆ ਸਦਾ ਏਕਸੁ ਗਾਉ ॥੪॥੪॥
gur mil naanak boojhi-aa sadaa aykas gaa-o. ||4||4||
Nanak says, I have understood this truth after meeting and following the Guru’s teachings, therefore, I always sing the praises of the one God.||4||4||
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਮੈਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਸਮਝੀ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਜਸ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੪॥੪॥

ਮੀਰਾਂ ਦਾਨਾਂ ਦਿਲ ਸੋਚ ॥
meeraaN daanaaN dil soch.
O’ God, the sagacious sovereign King, I always think about You in my heart.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ ਮੈਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦਿਲ ਵਿਚ ਸੋਚਦਾ ਹਾਂ
ਮੁਹਬਤੇ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਬਸੈ ਸਚੁ ਸਾਹ ਬੰਦੀ ਮੋਚ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
muhabtay man tan basai sach saah bandee moch. ||1|| rahaa-o.
O’ God, the deliverer from the worldly bondages and the eternal patron, Your love is enshrined in my heart and mind. ||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਸ਼ਾਹ! ਹੇ ਬੰਦਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਛੁਡਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ! ਤੇਰੀ ਮੁਹੱਬਤ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਦੀਦਨੇ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕਛੁ ਨਹੀ ਇਸ ਕਾ ਮੋਲੁ ॥
deednay deedaar saahib kachh nahee is kaa mol.
The experience of the blessed vision of God is priceless.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਪਾਕ ਪਰਵਦਗਾਰ ਤੂ ਖੁਦਿ ਖਸਮੁ ਵਡਾ ਅਤੋਲੁ ॥੧॥
paak parvardagaar too khud khasam vadaa atol. ||1||
O’ God, the most immaculate and sustainer, You yourself are our supreme Master whose worth cannot be estimated. ||1||
ਹੇ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ! ਹੇ ਪਾਲਣਹਾਰ! ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਸਾਡਾ ਖਸਮ ਹੈਂ ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇਰੀ ਹਸਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਤੋਲਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ॥੧॥
ਦਸ੍ਤਗੀਰੀ ਦੇਹਿ ਦਿਲਾਵਰ ਤੂਹੀ ਤੂਹੀ ਏਕ ॥
dastgeeree deh dilaavar toohee toohee ayk.
O’ God, the bravest one, please help me, it is You and You alone on whom I depend.
ਹੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੇਰੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰ, ਇਕ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ (ਮੇਰਾ ਆਸਰਾ) ਹੈਂ।
ਕਰਤਾਰ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਕਰਣ ਖਾਲਕ ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇਰੀ ਟੇਕ ॥੨॥੫॥

Nanak says, O’ the Creator of all the creation and Master of the universe, I lean only on Your support. ||2||5||

One eternal God, realized by the grace of the True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਨਿ ਕੀਆ ਤਿਨਿ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਕਿਆ ਕਹੀਐ ਰੇ ਭਾਈ ॥
jin kee-aa tin daykhi-aa ki-aa kahee-ai ray bhaa-ee.
God who created the world watches over it; O’ brother, what more can we say?
ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਜਗਤ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸੇ ਨੇ ਹੀ (ਸਦਾ) ਇਸ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਹੋਰ ਕੀ ਕਹਿ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ?
