ਖੂਨ ਕੇ ਸੋਹਿਲੇ ਗਾਵੀਅਹਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਰਤੁ ਕਾ ਕੁੰਗੂ ਪਾਇ ਵੇ ਲਾਲੋ ॥੧॥
khoon kay sohilay gavee-ah naanak rat kaa kungoo paa-ay vay laalo. ||1||
O’ Nanak, the songs of death are being sung and O’ Lalo, blood is being sprinkled instead of saffron. ||1||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਇਸ ਖ਼ੂਨੀ ਵਿਆਹ ਵਿਚ ਹਰ ਪਾਸੇ) ਵਿਰਲਾਪ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਲਹੂ ਦਾ ਕੇਸਰ ਛਿੜਕਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਗਾਵੈ ਮਾਸ ਪੁਰੀ ਵਿਚਿ ਆਖੁ ਮਸੋਲਾ ॥
saahib kay gun naanak gaavai maas puree vich aakh masolaa.
Nanak is singing the glorious praises of God in the city of corpses (accepting the will of God), and is voicing this account.
ਲੋਥਾਂ-ਭਰੇ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਉਸ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਹੀ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਲਾਲੋ! ਤੂੰ ਭੀ ਇਸ ਅਟੱਲ ਨਿਯਮ ਨੂੰ ਉਚਾਰ
ਜਿਨਿ ਉਪਾਈ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਵਾਈ ਬੈਠਾ ਵੇਖੈ ਵਖਿ ਇਕੇਲਾ ॥
jin upaa-ee rang ravaa-ee baithaa vaykhai vakh ikaylaa.
The Master-God who created this universe and engrossed it in the false worldly pleasures, sitting alone, He is watching this play of people and Maya.
ਜਿਸ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ (ਇਹ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ) ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸੇ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਵਿਰਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਬੈਠਾ (ਇਹ ਖੇਡ) ਵੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਚਾ ਸੋ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਸਚੁ ਤਪਾਵਸੁ ਸਚੜਾ ਨਿਆਉ ਕਰੇਗੁ ਮਸੋਲਾ ॥
sachaa so saahib sach tapaavas sachrhaa ni-aa-o karayg masolaa.
God is true (eternal), true is His justice and He is going to do true justice in the future as well.
ਉਹ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅਟੱਲ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਉਂ (ਹੁਣ ਤਕ) ਅਟੱਲ ਹੈ, ਉਹ (ਅਗਾਂਹ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ) ਅਟੱਲ ਨਿਯਮ ਵਰਤਾਇਗਾ ਉਹੀ ਨਿਆਉਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਜੋ ਅਟੱਲ ਹੈ।
ਕਾਇਆ ਕਪੜੁ ਟੁਕੁ ਟੁਕੁ ਹੋਸੀ ਹਿਦੁਸਤਾਨੁ ਸਮਾਲਸੀ ਬੋਲਾ ॥
kaa-i-aa kaparh tuk tuk hosee hindusataan samaalsee bolaa.
The humans will be massacred like the cloth is torn into pieces and Hindustan would remember this tragedy for a long time.
ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਰੂਪ ਕਪੜਾ ਟੁਕੜੇ ਟੁਕੜੇ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਇਕ ਐਸੀ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਘਟਨਾ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਿੰਦੁਸਤਾਨ ਭੁਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕੇਗਾ
ਆਵਨਿ ਅਠਤਰੈ ਜਾਨਿ ਸਤਾਨਵੈ ਹੋਰੁ ਭੀ ਉਠਸੀ ਮਰਦ ਕਾ ਚੇਲਾ ॥
aavan ath-tarai jaan sataanvai hor bhee uthsee marad kaa chaylaa.
The Moguls have come in seventy-eight (1521 A.D.) and will depart in ninety seven (1540 A.D.), and then another brave person would rise up.
ਮੁਗ਼ਲ ਸੰਮਤ ਅਠੱਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਆਏ ਹਨ, ਇਹ ਸੰਮਤ ਸਤਾਨਵੇ ਵਿਚ ਚਲੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਤਦ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਭੀ ਉੱਠ ਖੜਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
ਸਚ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਆਖੈ ਸਚੁ ਸੁਣਾਇਸੀ ਸਚ ਕੀ ਬੇਲਾ ॥੨॥੩॥੫॥
sach kee banee naanak aakhai sach sunaa-isee sach kee baylaa. ||2||3||5||
Nanak is uttering the word of God’s praises and would continue to do so because human life is the only time to do it. ||2||3||5||
ਨਾਨਕ ਤਾਂ (ਇਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਭੀ) ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਸਾਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਹੀ) ਇਹ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹੇਗਾ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਦਾ ਸਮਾ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੩॥੫॥

One eternal God, realized by the grace of the True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਭਿ ਆਏ ਹੁਕਮਿ ਖਸਮਾਹੁ ਹੁਕਮਿ ਸਭ ਵਰਤਨੀ ॥
sabh aa-ay hukam khasmaahu hukam sabh vartanee.
Everyone has come into the world by the command of the Master-God and all are working according to His command.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ ਹੁਕਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਆਏ ਹਨ, ਸਾਰੀ ਲੁਕਾਈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ (ਹੀ) ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਸਚੁ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਖੇਲੁ ਸਭੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੀ ॥੧॥
sach saahib saachaa khayl sabh har Dhanee. ||1||
Eternal is that Master, everlasting His play and everywhere He pervades.||1||
ਉਹ ਮਾਲਕ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ (ਰਚਿਆ ਜਗਤ-) ਤਮਾਸ਼ਾ ਅਟੱਲ (ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ)। ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਉਹ ਮਾਲਕ ਆਪ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਸਾਲਾਹਿਹੁ ਸਚੁ ਸਭ ਊਪਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੀ ॥
saalaahihu sach sabh oopar har Dhanee.
O’ my friends, keep praising that eternal God, because He is the supreme commander and Master of all.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਹਰੀ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰੋ। ਉਹ ਹਰੀ ਸਭ ਦੇ ਉਪਰ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਸੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋਇ ਸਰੀਕੁ ਕਿਸੁ ਲੇਖੈ ਹਉ ਗਨੀ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jis naahee ko-ay sareek kis laykhai ha-o ganee. rahaa-o.
That God who has no rival, who am I to describe His virtues. ||Pause||
ਜਿਸ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਦਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਰ ਸਕਾਂ? ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਪਉਣ ਪਾਣੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਆਕਾਸੁ ਘਰ ਮੰਦਰ ਹਰਿ ਬਨੀ ॥
pa-un paanee Dhartee aakaas ghar mandar har banee.
Air, water, earth and sky, God has made these His abodes and temples.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਹਵਾ, ਪਾਣੀ, ਧਰਤੀ ਆਕਾਸ਼-ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ (ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਘਰ ਮੰਦਰ ਬਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
ਵਿਚਿ ਵਰਤੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਪਿ ਝੂਠੁ ਕਹੁ ਕਿਆ ਗਨੀ ॥੨॥੧॥
vich vartai naanak aap jhooth kaho ki-aa ganee. ||2||1||
O’ Nanak, God Himself pervades all these, therefore nothing can be counted false. ||2||1||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਦੱਸੋ, ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਅਸੱਤ ਆਖਾਂ? ॥੨॥੧॥

Raag Tilang, Fourth Guru:
ਨਿਤ ਨਿਹਫਲ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਇ ਬਫਾਵੈ ਦੁਰਮਤੀਆ ॥
nit nihfal karam kamaa-ay bafaavai durmatee-aa.
The evil-minded person always does useless deeds and then boasts about these.
ਖੋਟੀ ਬੁਧਿ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦਾਵਿਅਰਥ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਲਾਫ਼ਾਂ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਬ ਆਣੈ ਵਲਵੰਚ ਕਰਿ ਝੂਠੁ ਤਬ ਜਾਣੈ ਜਗੁ ਜਿਤੀਆ ॥੧॥
jab aanai valvanch kar jhooth tab jaanai jag jitee-aa. ||1||
When he brings home what he has acquired by practicing deception and falsehood, he thinks that he has conquered the world. ||1||
ਜਦੋਂ ਠੱਗੀ ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਝੂਠ ਬੋਲ ਕੇ ਕੁਝ ਧਨ-ਮਾਲ ਲੈ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਐਸਾ ਬਾਜੀ ਸੈਸਾਰੁ ਨ ਚੇਤੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ॥
aisaa baajee saisaar na chaytai har naamaa.
Such is the play of the world that one does not remember God’s Name,
ਐਹੋ ਜੇਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਗਤ ਦੀ ਖੇਡ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ,
ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਸਭੁ ਝੂਠੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਧਿਆਇ ਰਾਮਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
khin meh binsai sabh jhooth mayray man Dhi-aa-ay raamaa. rahaa-o.
all this false play shall perish in an instant, therefore O’ mymind, always remember God with adoration. ||Pause||
ਇਕ ਮੁਹਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਕੂੜੀ ਖੇਡ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਊਗੀ। ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਤੂੰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ ॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਸਾ ਵੇਲਾ ਚਿਤਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਜਿਤੁ ਆਇ ਕੰਟਕੁ ਕਾਲੁ ਗ੍ਰਸੈ ॥
saa vaylaa chit na aavai jit aa-ay kantak kaal garsai.
O’ my mind, one does not think about that moment when terrible death would come and seize him.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਖੋਟੀ ਮਤਿ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਵੇਲਾ (ਕਦੇ) ਯਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ, ਜਦੋਂ ਦੁਖਦਾਈ ਕਾਲ ਆ ਕੇ ਫੜ ਲਵੇਗੀ।
ਤਿਸੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਲਏ ਛਡਾਇ ਜਿਸੁ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਵਸੈ ॥੨॥੨॥
tis naanak la-ay chhadaa-ay jis kirpaa kar hirdai vasai. ||2||2||
O’ Nanak, God rescues him from the fear of death who, through His mercy realizes Him in his heart. ||2||2||.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਡਰ ਤੋਂ ਛਡਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੨॥

God infused His divine power into the dust, and created the world, the universe.
ਚੇਤਨ ਜੋਤਿ ਅਤੇ ਅਚੇਤਨ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਮਿਲਾ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਜਗਤ ਇਹ ਜਹਾਨ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਅਸਮਾਨ ਜਿਮੀ ਦਰਖਤ ਆਬ ਪੈਦਾਇਸਿ ਖੁਦਾਇ ॥੧॥
asmaan jimee darkhat aab paidaa-is khudaa-ay. ||1||
The sky, the earth, the trees, and the water are all His creation. ||1||
ਆਸਮਾਨ, ਧਰਤੀ, ਰੁੱਖ, ਪਾਣੀ (ਆਦਿਕ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਬੰਦੇ ਚਸਮ ਦੀਦੰ ਫਨਾਇ ॥
banday chasam deedaN fanaa-ay.
O’ mortal, whatever you can see with your eyes, shall perish.
ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ! ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਤੂੰ ਅੱਖੀਂ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਹੈ।
ਦੁਨੀਆ ਮੁਰਦਾਰ ਖੁਰਦਨੀ ਗਾਫਲ ਹਵਾਇ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
duneeN-aa murdaar khurdanee gaafal havaa-ay. rahaa-o.
Engrossed in Maya, the world has forgotten God and consumes what is genuinely not theirs. ||Pause||
ਦੁਨੀਆ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਲੋਂ ਭੁੱਲੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਹਰਾਮ ਖਾਂਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਗੈਬਾਨ ਹੈਵਾਨ ਹਰਾਮ ਕੁਸਤਨੀ ਮੁਰਦਾਰ ਬਖੋਰਾਇ ॥
gaibaan haivaan haraam kustanee murdaar bakhoraa-ay.
Human beings are robbing others and eating what does not belong to them; It is just like ghosts and beasts killing and eating animals.
ਗ਼ਾਫ਼ਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਭੂਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰੇਤਾਂ ਪਸ਼ੂਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਹਰਾਮ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਹਰਾਮ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਦਿਲ ਕਬਜ ਕਬਜਾ ਕਾਦਰੋ ਦੋਜਕ ਸਜਾਇ ॥੨॥
dil kabaj kabjaa kaadro dojak sajaa-ay. ||2||
This mind is completely under the control of Maya, therefore, God punishes it by throwing it in hell. ||2||
ਇਸ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਉਤੇ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ) ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੋਜ਼ਕ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਵਲੀ ਨਿਆਮਤਿ ਬਿਰਾਦਰਾ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਮਿਲਕ ਖਾਨਾਇ ॥
valee ni-aamat biraadaraa darbaar milak khaanaa-ay.
Your benefactors, companions, presents, courts, lands and homes,
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਤਦੋਂ ਪਾਲਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਿਉ, ਭਰਾ, ਦਰਬਾਰ, ਜਾਇਦਾਦ, ਘਰ-
ਜਬ ਅਜਰਾਈਲੁ ਬਸਤਨੀ ਤਬ ਚਿ ਕਾਰੇ ਬਿਦਾਇ ॥੩॥
jab ajraa-eel bastanee tab chay kaaray bidaa-ay. ||3||
are not going to be of any use when Azraa-eel, the messenger of death seizes you. ||3||
ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ (ਜਗਤ ਤੋਂ) ਵਿਦਾ ਹੋਣ ਵੇਲੇ ਕਿਸ ਕੰਮ ਆਉਣਗੇ? ਜਦੋਂ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਫ਼ਰਿਸ਼ਤਾ (ਆ ਕੇ) ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਹਵਾਲ ਮਾਲੂਮੁ ਕਰਦੰ ਪਾਕ ਅਲਾਹ ॥
havaal maaloom kardaN paak alaah.
The immaculate God Knows everything about you.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਤੇਰੇ ਦਿਲ ਦਾ) ਸਾਰਾ ਹਾਲ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਬੁਗੋ ਨਾਨਕ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਪੇਸਿ ਦਰਵੇਸ ਬੰਦਾਹ ॥੪॥੧॥
bugo naanak ardaas pays darvays bandaah. ||4||1|| |
O’ Nanak,stay in the company of true saints and pray to God, that He may not let you fall in the clutches of Maya. ||4||1||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ) ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰ (ਕਿ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਹਵਸ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਹ ਫਸਣ ਦੇਵੇ) ॥੪॥੧॥

ਤੁਧੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਦੂਜਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋਇ ॥
tuDh bin doojaa naahee ko-ay.
O’ God, other than You, there is nobody else who can do anything.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੈਥੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਦੂਜਾ ਕੁਝ ਕਰ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਤੂ ਕਰਤਾਰੁ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੋ ਹੋਇ ॥
too kartaar karahi so ho-ay.
You are the Creator; whatever You do, is what happens.
ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਤੂੰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਉਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਤੇਰਾ ਜੋਰੁ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਨਿ ਟੇਕ ॥
tayraa jor tayree man tayk.
You are our strength and You are the support of our mind.
(ਅਸਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਤਾਣ ਹੈ, (ਸਾਡੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਏਕ ॥੧॥
sadaa sadaa jap naanak ayk. ||1||
O’ Nanak, forever and ever lovingly remember the One-God. ||1||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਰਹੁ ॥੧॥
ਸਭ ਊਪਰਿ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਦਾਤਾਰੁ ॥
sabh oopar paarbarahm daataar.
O’ the beneficent and supreme God! You are the protector of all,
ਹੇ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਦਾਤਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!ਤੂੰਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਰਾਖਾ ਹੈ,
ਤੇਰੀ ਟੇਕ ਤੇਰਾ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

You are our support and You are our sustainer. ||Pause||
