ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
Dhanaasree mehlaa 5.
Raag Dhanasri, Fifth Guru:
ਅਉਖੀ ਘੜੀ ਨ ਦੇਖਣ ਦੇਈ ਅਪਨਾ ਬਿਰਦੁ ਸਮਾਲੇ ॥
a-ukhee gharhee na daykhan day-ee apnaa birad samaalay.
God doesn’t allow any moment of difficulty bother His devotee; He always remembers His innate nature of protecting His devotees.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਮਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖਣ ਦੇਂਦਾ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੁੱਢ-ਕਦੀਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਸਦਾ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਹਾਥ ਦੇਇ ਰਾਖੈ ਅਪਨੇ ਕਉ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੇ ॥੧॥
haath day-ay raakhai apnay ka-o saas saas partipaalay. ||1||
God protects His devotee by extending His support; He cherishes him at every breath. ||1||
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਹਰੇਕ ਸਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਲਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਗਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਮੇਰਾ ਚੀਤੁ ॥
parabh si-o laag rahi-o mayraa cheet.
My mind remains attuned to that God,
ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਆਦਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਦਾ ਸਹਾਈ ਧੰਨੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਮੀਤੁ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
aad ant parabh sadaa sahaa-ee Dhan hamaaraa meet. rahaa-o.
who remains our helper from the beginning to the end (from birth to death); blessed is our that friend. ||Pause||
ਜੋ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਅਖ਼ੀਰ ਤਕ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਮਦਦਗਾਰ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਡਾ ਉਹ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਧੰਨ ਹੈ ॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਮਨਿ ਬਿਲਾਸ ਭਏ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕੇ ਅਚਰਜ ਦੇਖਿ ਬਡਾਈ ॥
man bilaas bha-ay saahib kay achraj daykh badaa-ee.
Upon beholding the marvellous glory of God, my mind is delighted and I have become a devotee of God.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਅਲੋਕਿਕ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਚਿੱਤ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਦਾਸ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ
ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਆਨਦ ਕਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਪੈਜ ਰਖਾਈ ॥੨॥੧੫॥੪੬॥
har simar simar aanad kar naanak parabh pooran paij rakhaa-ee. ||2||15||46||
O’ Nanak, God has totally protected your honor, now always remember Him and enjoy the spiritual bliss. ||2||15||46||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਰੱਖ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਭੀ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣ ॥੨॥੧੫॥੪੬॥

Raag Dhanasri, Fifth Guru:
ਜਿਸ ਕਉ ਬਿਸਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਾਨਪਤਿ ਦਾਤਾ ਸੋਈ ਗਨਹੁ ਅਭਾਗਾ ॥
jis ka-o bisrai paraanpat daataa so-ee ganhu abhaagaa.
One who forgets the benefactor God, know that he is most unfortunate.
ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਬਦ-ਕਿਸਮਤ ਸਮਝੋ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੰਦ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਸਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਗਿਓ ਅਮਿਅ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਪਾਗਾ ॥੧॥
charan kamal jaa kaa man raagi-o ami-a sarovar paagaa. ||1||
One whose mind is imbued with the love of God’s Name, obtains the pool of ambrosial nectar of Naam. ||1||
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਕੋਮਲ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ ਦਾ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਲੱਭ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਤੇਰਾ ਜਨੁ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਰੰਗਿ ਜਾਗਾ ॥
tayraa jan raam naam rang jaagaa.
O’ God, being imbued with the love of God’s Name, Your devotee remains aware and awakened to the attacks of Maya, the worldly riches and allurements.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਲੋਂ ਸਦਾ) ਸੁਚੇਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਲਸੁ ਛੀਜਿ ਗਇਆ ਸਭੁ ਤਨ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸਿਉ ਮਨੁ ਲਾਗਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
aalas chheej ga-i-aa sabh tan tay pareetam si-o man laagaa. rahaa-o.
All laziness departs from his body and his mind remains attuned to the beloved God. ||Pause||
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਆਲਸ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ, ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਜਹ ਜਹ ਪੇਖਉ ਤਹ ਨਾਰਾਇਣ ਸਗਲ ਘਟਾ ਮਹਿ ਤਾਗਾ ॥
jah jah paykha-o tah naaraa-in sagal ghataa meh taagaa.
Wherever I look, I see God pervading in all, like a thread in all the beads.
ਮੈਂ ਜਿਧਰ ਜਿਧਰ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਉਥੇ ਉਥੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਰੀਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਧਾਗਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਣਕਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ।
ਨਾਮ ਉਦਕੁ ਪੀਵਤ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਆਗੇ ਸਭਿ ਅਨੁਰਾਗਾ ॥੨॥੧੬॥੪੭॥
naam udak peevat jan naanak ti-aagay sabh anuraagaa. ||2||16||47||
O’ Nanak, upon partaking the nectar of Naam, the devotees of God renounce their love for worldly attachments. ||2||16||47||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਾਸ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ ਪੀਂਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਮੋਹ-ਪਿਆਰ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥੧੬॥੪੭॥

Raag Dhanasri, Fifth Guru:
ਜਨ ਕੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਏ ਕਾਮ ॥
jan kay pooran ho-ay kaam.
All the affairs of God’s devotees get resolved.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਸਫਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ।
ਕਲੀ ਕਾਲ ਮਹਾ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਮਹਿ ਲਜਾ ਰਾਖੀ ਰਾਮ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
kalee kaal mahaa bikhi-aa meh lajaa raakhee raam. ||1|| rahaa-o.
In this world full of conflicts and love for worldly riches, God saves the honor of His devotees. ||1||Pause||
ਇਸ ਝੰਬੇਲਿਆਂ-ਭਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ, ਇਸ ਵੱਡੀ (ਮੋਹਣੀ) ਮਾਇਆ ਵਿਚ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਦੀ) ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਰੱਖ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਜਾਮ ॥
simar simar su-aamee parabh apunaa nikat na aavai jaam.
By always remembering our Master-God, the fear of death does not come near.
ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ (ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਦੇ) ਨੇੜੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਢੁਕਦੀ।
ਮੁਕਤਿ ਬੈਕੁੰਠ ਸਾਧ ਕੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਜਨ ਪਾਇਓ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਧਾਮ ॥੧॥
mukat baikunth saaDh kee sangat jan paa-i-o har kaa Dhaam. ||1||
The holy congregation is that heavenly place where liberation from vices is attained; in there, the devotees find God’s abode. ||1||
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਸੁਰਗ ਹੈ, ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਪਾਣ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਹੈ; ਸੇਵਕ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੇਹੜੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਥਾਤੀ ਕੋਟਿ ਸੂਖ ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮ ॥
charan kamal har jan kee thaatee kot sookh bisraam.
God’s immaculate Name is the source of spiritual support and millions of comforts for His devotees.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਹੀ ਆਸਰਾ ਹਨ, ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਹਨ।
ਗੋਬਿੰਦੁ ਦਮੋਦਰ ਸਿਮਰਉ ਦਿਨ ਰੈਨਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ॥੨॥੧੭॥੪੮॥
gobind damodar simra-o din rain naanak sad kurbaan. ||2||17||48||
O’ Nanak, I meditate on God, the Master of the universe and I am dedicated to Him forever. ||2||17||48||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਮੈਂ (ਭੀ) ਉਸ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਨੂੰ ਦਮੋਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਤੇ, ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੨॥੧੭॥੪੮॥

ਮਾਂਗਉ ਰਾਮ ਤੇ ਇਕੁ ਦਾਨੁ ॥
maaNga-o raam tay ik daan.
I beg for one thing from God,
ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਇਕ ਖ਼ੈਰ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ,
ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਸਿਮਰਉ ਤੁਮਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sagal manorath pooran hoveh simra-o tumraa naam. ||1|| rahaa-o.
O’ God, I may keep meditating on Your Name; all one’s wishes are fulfilled by lovingly remembering Your Name. ||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ, ਤੇਰੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮੁਰਾਦਾਂ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਚਰਨ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਵਾਸਹਿ ਸੰਤਨ ਕਾ ਸੰਗੁ ਪਾਵਉ ॥
charan tumHaaray hirdai vaaseh santan kaa sang paava-o.
O’ God, Your Name may remain enshrined in my heart, and I may obtain the company of Your saints;
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੇ ਚਰਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਵਾਂ,
ਸੋਗ ਅਗਨਿ ਮਹਿ ਮਨੁ ਨ ਵਿਆਪੈ ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਉ ॥੧॥
sog agan meh man na vi-aapai aath pahar gun gaava-o. ||1||
my mind may never be afflicted by the fire of worries, and I may always sing Your praises. ||1||
ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਪਛਤਾਵੇ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਅੰਦਰ ਖੱਚਤ ਨਾਂ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਅੱਠੇ ਪਹਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ। ॥੧॥
ਸ੍ਵਸਤਿ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਮਧ੍ਯ੍ਯੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜਾਪਣ ॥
savast bivasthaa har kee sayvaa maDh-yaNt parabh jaapan.
Spiritual peace prevails in the mind by always engaging in the devotional worship of God and remembering Him.
ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਨਾਲ, ਹਰੀ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ (ਮਨ ਵਿਚ) ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਬਣੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਗਾ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਬਾਹੁੜਿ ਜਨਮ ਨ ਛਾਪਣ ॥੨॥੧੮॥੪੯॥
naanak rang lagaa parmaysar baahurh janam na chhaapan. ||2||18||49||
O Nanak, one who is imbued with the Love of God, does not go through the rounds of birth and death. ||2||18||49||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ ॥੨॥੧੮॥੪੯॥

Raag Dhanasri, Fifth Guru:
ਮਾਂਗਉ ਰਾਮ ਤੇ ਸਭਿ ਥੋਕ ॥
maaNga-o raam tay sabh thok.
I beg only from God for all things.
ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ (ਹੀ) ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
ਮਾਨੁਖ ਕਉ ਜਾਚਤ ਸ੍ਰਮੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੈ ਸਿਮਰਨਿ ਮੋਖ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
maanukh ka-o jaachat saram paa-ee-ai parabh kai simran mokh. ||1|| rahaa-o.
One feels ashamed by begging from human beings; remembering God, one not only gets what he needs but also attains freedom from vices. ||1||Pause||
ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਮੰਗਦਿਆਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲੱਜਿਆ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਤੇ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਘੋਖੇ ਮੁਨਿ ਜਨ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਪੁਰਾਨਾਂ ਬੇਦ ਪੁਕਾਰਹਿ ਘੋਖ ॥
ghokhay mun jan simrit puraanaaN bayd pukaareh ghokh.
The sages and devotees who have carefully reflected on Smritis and Puranas (scriptures) and also deeply gone through the Vedas; they all proclaim,
ਰਿਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੀਆਂ ਪੁਰਾਣ ਗਹੁ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਵੇਖੇ, ਵੇਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਭੀ) ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੇ ਸਭ ਇਹੋ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਕੇ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਸਿੰਧੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਚੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਦੋਵੈ ਸੁਹੇਲੇ ਲੋਕ ॥੧॥
kirpaa sinDh sayv sach paa-ee-ai dovai suhaylay lok. ||1||
that God, the ocean of mercy, is realized by remembering Him, and both this world and the next become peaceful. ||1||
ਕਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਹਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੇਵਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੱਚ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਸੁਖੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
ਆਨ ਅਚਾਰ ਬਿਉਹਾਰ ਹੈ ਜੇਤੇ ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਫੋਕ ॥
aan achaar bi-uhaar hai jaytay bin har simran fok.
Except meditation on God, all other rituals and customs are useless.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਜਿਤਨੇ ਭੀ ਹੋਰ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਰਿਵਾਜ ਤੇ ਵਿਹਾਰ ਹਨ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹਨ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਭੈ ਕਾਟੇ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਸੋਕ ॥੨॥੧੯॥੫੦॥
naanak janam maran bhai kaatay mil saaDhoo binsay sok. ||2||19||50||
O’ Nanak, upon meeting and following the Guru’s teachings, all sorrows vanish and the fear of birth and death is erased. ||2||19||50||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਡਰ ਕੱਟੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਚਿੰਤਾ-ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥੧੯॥੫੦॥

Raag Dhanasri, Fifth Guru:
ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਬੁਝੈ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਨਾਮਿ ॥
tarisnaa bujhai har kai naam.
All the fierce worldly desires are quenched by meditating on God’s Name.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆਂ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ) ਤ੍ਰੇਹ ਬੁੱਝ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਮਹਾ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਗੈ ਪੂਰਨ ਧਿਆਨੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
mahaa santokh hovai gur bachnee parabh si-o laagai pooran Dhi-aan. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Immense peace and contentment comes through the Guru’s divine word and mind becomes totally attuned to God. ||1||Pause||
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲਿਆਂ ਬੜਾ ਸੰਤੋਖ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ,ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪੂਰੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਜੁੜ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
