ਭਾਈ ਰੇ ਸਾਚੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੇਵ ॥
bhaa-ee ray saachee satgur sayv.
O brother, true (and most fruitful) is the teachings of the true Guru,
ਹੇ ਵੀਰ! ਕੇਵਲ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ-ਸੇਵਾ ਹੀ ਸਤਿ ਹੈ।
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੁਠੈ ਪਾਈਐ ਪੂਰਨ ਅਲਖ ਅਭੇਵ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
satgur tuthai paa-ee-ai pooran alakh abhayv. ||1|| rahaa-o.
If the Guru is pleased, the Perfect, imperceptible and all pervading God is realized.
ਜੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਪਏ, ਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਭ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਅਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਭੇਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਵਾਰਿਆ ਜਿਨਿ ਦਿਤਾ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਉ ॥
satgur vitahu vaari-aa jin ditaa sach naa-o.
I dedicate myself to the True Guru, who has bestowed the eternal Name of God.
ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ,
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸਚੁ ਸਲਾਹਣਾ ਸਚੇ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ॥
an-din sach salaahnaa sachay kay gun gaa-o.
I always praise the eternal God and keep singing His Praises.
ਮੈਂ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਲਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
ਸਚੁ ਖਾਣਾ ਸਚੁ ਪੈਨਣਾ ਸਚੇ ਸਚਾ ਨਾਉ ॥੨॥
sach khaanaa sach painnaa sachay sachaa naa-o. ||2||
For me now the eternal Name of God has become my spiritual food and clothing, and lovingly I keep meditating on God’s eternal Name.
ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਮੇਰੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਖ਼ੁਰਾਕ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਮੇਰੀ ਪੋਸ਼ਾਕ ਹੋ ਚੁਕਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਨਾਮ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਜਪਦਾ ਹਾਂ l
ਸਾਸਿ ਗਿਰਾਸਿ ਨ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਸਫਲੁ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਆਪਿ ॥
saas giraas na visrai safal moorat gur aap.
The Guru himself is powerful enough to grant us all kinds of blessings. I may never forget the Guru, even for a single breath.
ਗੁਰੂ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਖ਼ਸੀਅਤ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਫਲ ਦੇਣ ਦੇ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਹੈ l ਹਰੇਕ ਸਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਭੁੱਲਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ
ਗੁਰ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਦਿਸਈ ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਤਿਸੁ ਜਾਪਿ ॥
gur jayvad avar na dis-ee aath pahar tis jaap.
None is seen to be as great as the Guru. Always remember his teachings.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਦਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ (ਦਾਤਾ) ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ, ਅੱਠੇ ਪਹਰ ਉਸ (ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ) ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖ।
ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਤਾ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਗੁਣਤਾਸਿ ॥੩॥
nadar karay taa paa-ee-ai sach naam guntaas. ||3||
As the Guru bestows his Grace, the Name of eternal God, the treasure of virtues, is obtained .
ਜਦੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ l
ਗੁਰੁ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਏਕੁ ਹੈ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਇ ॥
gur parmaysar ayk hai sabh meh rahi-aa samaa-ay.
The Guru and God are one and the same, pervading amongst all.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਇੱਕ-ਰੂਪ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਪੂਰਬਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸੇਈ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ॥
jin ka-o poorab likhi-aa say-ee naam Dhi-aa-ay.
Those who have such pre-ordained destiny, meditate on the Naam.
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਧੁਰ ਦੀ ਲਿਖਤ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਜਾਇ ॥੪॥੩੦॥੧੦੦॥
naanak gur sarnaagatee marai na aavai jaa-ay. ||4||30||100||
O’ Nanak, one who seeks the refuge of the Guru, he does not spiritually die and does not go in rounds of birth and death.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਰਦਾ, ਉਹ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

ਸਿਰੀਰਾਗੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ਘਰੁ ੧ ਅਸਟਪਦੀਆ ॥

ਆਖਿ ਆਖਿ ਮਨੁ ਵਾਵਣਾ ਜਿਉ ਜਿਉ ਜਾਪੈ ਵਾਇ ॥
aakh aakh man vaavnaa ji-o ji-o jaapai vaa-ay.
We may utter and sing praises of God according to the different thoughts arising in our mind.
ਹਰੀ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਜਾਪ ਤੇ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ,ਜੀਵ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਵਜਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਉਹ ਹਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਿਆਦਾ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਜਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ।
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਵਾਇ ਸੁਣਾਈਐ ਸੋ ਕੇਵਡੁ ਕਿਤੁ ਥਾਇ ॥
jis no vaa-ay sunaa-ee-ai so kayvad kit thaa-ay.
But one does not know how great He is and where He resides, about whom he sings his praises.
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬਾਬਤ ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਪਤਾ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਕਿ) ਉਹ ਕਿੱਡਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਵਜਾਉਂਦਾ ਤੇ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ?
ਆਖਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਜੇਤੜੇ ਸਭਿ ਆਖਿ ਰਹੇ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥੧॥
aakhan vaalay jayt-rhay sabh aakh rahay liv laa-ay. ||1||
Innumerable are those who speak of Him and praise Him-they all continue speaking of Him with their minds attuned to Him.
ਜਿੰਨੇ ਉਪਮਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ-ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਰਤ ਜੋੜਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਬਾਬਾ ਅਲਹੁ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰੁ ॥
baabaa alhu agam apaar.
O Baba, the Allah (God) is Inaccessible and Infinite.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਰ-ਪਾਰ ਰਹਿਤ ਹੈ।
ਪਾਕੀ ਨਾਈ ਪਾਕ ਥਾਇ ਸਚਾ ਪਰਵਦਿਗਾਰੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
paakee naa-ee paak thaa-ay sachaa paravdigaar. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Sacred is His Name, and Sacred is His Place. He is the True Cherisher.
ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ ਨਾਮ ਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਸੱਚੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਕ ਦਾ l
ਤੇਰਾ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਨ ਜਾਪੀ ਕੇਤੜਾ ਲਿਖਿ ਨ ਜਾਣੈ ਕੋਇ ॥
tayraa hukam na jaapee kayt-rhaa likh na jaanai ko-ay.
The extent of Your Command cannot be known; no one knows how to write it.
ਕਿੱਡਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਅਮਰ ਹੈ, ਜਾਣਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਸਾਹਿਬ! ਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਜਣਾ ਕਲਮ-ਬੰਦ ਕਰਨਾ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜੇ ਸਉ ਸਾਇਰ ਮੇਲੀਅਹਿ ਤਿਲੁ ਨ ਪੁਜਾਵਹਿ ਰੋਇ ॥
jay sa-o saa-ir maylee-ah til na pujaaveh ro-ay.
Even if a hundred poets met together, they could not describe even an iota of Your greatness.
ਭਾਵੇਂ ਸੈਕੜੇ ਕਵੀ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ, ਉਹ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਜ਼ਰੇ ਦੇ ਮਾਤ੍ਰ ਭੀ ਪੁਜ ਨਹੀਂ (ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ) ਸਕਦੇ।
ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਿਨੈ ਨ ਪਾਈਆ ਸਭਿ ਸੁਣਿ ਸੁਣਿ ਆਖਹਿ ਸੋਇ ॥੨॥
keemat kinai na paa-ee-aa sabh sun sun aakhahi so-ay. ||2||
No one has found Your worth. Everybody speaks about You from hearsay.
ਕਿਸੇ ਭੀ ਜੀਵ ਨੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ, ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ ਤੇਰੀ ਬਾਬਤ (ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ) ਸੁਣ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਆਖ ਦੇਂਦੇ ਹਨ l
ਪੀਰ ਪੈਕਾਮਰ ਸਾਲਕ ਸਾਦਕ ਸੁਹਦੇ ਅਉਰੁ ਸਹੀਦ ॥
peer paikaamar saalak saadak suhday a-or saheed.
There are many saints, prophets, spiritual guides, men of faith, martyrs,
ਰੂਹਾਨੀ ਰਹਿਬਰ, ਪੈਗੰਬਰ, ਰੱਬੀ ਰਾਹ ਵਿਖਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ, ਸਿਦਕੀ ਬੰਦੇ ਭਲੇ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਧਰਮ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ,
ਸੇਖ ਮਸਾਇਕ ਕਾਜੀ ਮੁਲਾ ਦਰਿ ਦਰਵੇਸ ਰਸੀਦ ॥
saykh masaa-ik kaajee mulaa dar darvays raseed.
the Shaikhs, the mystics, the Qazis, the Mullahs and the Dervishes at His Door,
ਅਨੇਕਾਂ, ਸ਼ੇਖ਼, ਕਾਜ਼ੀ, ਮੁੱਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਤਕ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਹੋਏ ਦਰਵੇਸ਼ ਆਏ।
ਬਰਕਤਿ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਅਗਲੀ ਪੜਦੇ ਰਹਨਿ ਦਰੂਦ ॥੩॥
barkat tin ka-o aglee parh-day rahan darood. ||3||
But only those obtain more blessings who keep uttering His praises.
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ਾਂ ਮਿਲਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਵਾਚਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ।
ਪੁਛਿ ਨ ਸਾਜੇ ਪੁਛਿ ਨ ਢਾਹੇ ਪੁਛਿ ਨ ਦੇਵੈ ਲੇਇ ॥
puchh na saajay puchh na dhaahay puchh na dayvai lay-ay.
God seeks no advice when He builds; He seeks no advice when He destroys. He seeks no advice while giving or taking.
ਜਦ ਉਹ ਉਸਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਦ ਉਹ ਵਿਨਾਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਦੇਣ ਅਤੇ ਲੈਣ ਲਗਿਆ ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਲਾਹ ਮਸ਼ਵਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ।
ਆਪਣੀ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਆਪੇ ਜਾਣੈ ਆਪੇ ਕਰਣੁ ਕਰੇਇ ॥
aapnee kudrat aapay jaanai aapay karan karay-i.
He alone knows His Creation; He Himself does all deeds.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਜਗਤ-ਰਚਨਾ ਰਚਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਭਨਾ ਵੇਖੈ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਜੈ ਭਾਵੈ ਤੈ ਦੇਇ ॥੪॥
sabhnaa vaykhai nadar kar jai bhaavai tai day-ay. ||4||
He beholds all in His Vision. He gives to those with whom He is pleased.
ਆਪਣੀ ਨਿਗ੍ਹਾ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰੰਤੂ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਥਾਵਾ ਨਾਵ ਨ ਜਾਣੀਅਹਿ ਨਾਵਾ ਕੇਵਡੁ ਨਾਉ ॥
thaavaa naav na jaanee-ahi naavaa kayvad naa-o.
One cannot know all the places and their names in His creation, nor we can describe His Greatness.
ਸਭ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਜਾਣੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ। ਕਿੱਡਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ, ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ।
ਜਿਥੈ ਵਸੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੁ ਸੋ ਕੇਵਡੁ ਹੈ ਥਾਉ ॥
jithai vasai mayraa paatisaahu so kayvad hai thaa-o.
How great is that place where my Sovereign God dwells?
ਕਿੱਡੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਜਿਥੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ?
ਅੰਬੜਿ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਸਕਈ ਹਉ ਕਿਸ ਨੋ ਪੁਛਣਿ ਜਾਉ ॥੫॥
ambarh ko-ay na sak-ee ha-o kis no puchhan jaa-o. ||5||
No one can reach it; whom shall I go and ask?
ਕੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ। ਮੈਂ ਕੀਹਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਪਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਜਾਵਾਂ?
ਵਰਨਾ ਵਰਨ ਨ ਭਾਵਨੀ ਜੇ ਕਿਸੈ ਵਡਾ ਕਰੇਇ ॥
varnaa varan na bhaavnee jay kisai vadaa karay-i.
Whenever God wants to (spiritually) elevate a person, He does not bother about whether that person belongs to a high or low social status.
ਜਦ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕਿਸੇ ਇਕ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤਾ ਉਸਦੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਜਾਂ ਨੀਵੀਂ ਜਾਤਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਿਚਾਰਦਾ l
ਵਡੇ ਹਥਿ ਵਡਿਆਈਆ ਜੈ ਭਾਵੈ ਤੈ ਦੇਇ ॥
vaday hath vadi-aa-ee-aa jai bhaavai tai day-ay.
All the honors are in the hands of the great God, and He bestows these on whomsoever He pleases.
ਸਭ ਵਡਿਆਈਆਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਹਨ। ਜੇਹੜਾ ਜੀਵ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਹੁਕਮਿ ਸਵਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੈ ਚਸਾ ਨ ਢਿਲ ਕਰੇਇ ॥੬॥
hukam savaaray aapnai chasaa na dhil karay-i. ||6||
By His Command, He Himself exalts the mortals, without a moment’s delay.
ਆਪਣੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਵਾਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਰਤਾ ਭਰ ਭੀ ਢਿੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ l
ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਆਖੈ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਲੈਣੈ ਕੈ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ॥
sabh ko aakhai bahut bahut lainai kai veechaar.
In order to receive , everybody calls out to Him for more and more gifts.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਲੈਣ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਿਆਲ ਨਾਲ ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਬਹੁਤੀ ਮੰਗ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕੇਵਡੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਆਖੀਐ ਦੇ ਕੈ ਰਹਿਆ ਸੁਮਾਰਿ ॥
kayvad daataa aakhee-ai day kai rahi-aa sumaar.
How great should we call the Giver? His Gifts are beyond estimation.
ਦਾਤਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਿੱਡਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਕਹਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ? ਉਹ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਤੇਰੇ ਜੁਗਹ ਜੁਗਹ ਭੰਡਾਰ ॥੭॥੧॥
naanak tot na aavee tayray jugah jugah bhandaar. ||7||1||
O’ Nanak, so vast are Your storehouses that there is no shortage of Your gifts, even after the passage of ages.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਤੇਰੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਭਰੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਕਦੇ ਭੀ ਘਾਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈ ਸਕਦੀ

By the First Guru:
ਸਭੇ ਕੰਤ ਮਹੇਲੀਆ ਸਗਲੀਆ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ॥
sabhay kant mahaylee-aa saglee-aa karahi seegaar.
All humans are His soul-brides and all of them adorn themselves to please Him.
ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਖਸਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਹਨ, ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਹੀ (ਉਸ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ) ਸਿੰਗਾਰ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ,
