ਹਰਿ ਧਨ ਮੇਰੀ ਚਿੰਤ ਵਿਸਾਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਧਨਿ ਲਾਹਿਆ ਧੋਖਾ ॥
har Dhan mayree chint visaaree har Dhan laahi-aa Dhokhaa.
The wealth of Naam has banished my anxiety and has dispelled all my delusion.
ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਭੁਲਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਧਨ ਤੇ ਮੈ ਨਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਈ ਹਾਥਿ ਚਰਿਓ ਹਰਿ ਥੋਕਾ ॥੩॥
har Dhan tay mai nav niDh paa-ee haath chari-o har thokaa. ||3||
With the wealth of God’s Name, I feel as if I have obtained all the nine treasures of the world; I have found the most rare commodity of Naam. ||3||
ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਤੋਂ (ਮੈਂ ਇਉਂ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ) ਮੈਂ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਨੌ ਹੀ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਏ ਹਨ, (ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ) ਇਹ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਖਾਵਹੁ ਖਰਚਹੁ ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਹਲਤ ਪਲਤ ਕੈ ਸੰਗੇ ॥
kaavahu kharchahu tot na aavai halat palat kai sangay.
This Treasure of Naam is inexhaustible, I can spend as much I want and can distribute it freely and it will remain with me both here and hereafter.
(ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਨਾਮ ਧਨ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ) ਇਹ ਧਨ ਆਪ ਵਰਤੋ, ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਵਰਤਾਵੋ; ਇਹ ਧਨ ਕਦੇ ਘਟਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ; ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਤੇ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਲਾਦਿ ਖਜਾਨਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਦੀਆ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਰੰਗੇ ॥੪॥੨॥੩॥
laad khajaanaa gur naanak ka-o dee-aa ih man har rang rangay. ||4||2||3||
The Guru has loaded Nanak with this treasure of God’s Name and blessed him with the intellect to imbue his mind with God’s Love.||4||2||3|
ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਦਾ (ਇਹ) ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਲੱਦ ਕੇ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ (ਅਤੇ ਸੁਮਤਿ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗ ਲਵੋ ॥੪॥੨॥੩॥

Raag Goojree, Fifth Guru:
ਜਿਸੁ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਸਭਿ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਨਾਸਹਿ ਪਿਤਰੀ ਹੋਇ ਉਧਾਰੋ ॥
jis simrat sabh kilvikh naaseh pitree ho-ay uDhaaro.
Remembering whom, all sins are erased and even the ancestors are emancipated.
ਹੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ! ਜਿਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਿਆਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਸਿਮਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ) ਪਿਤਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਭੀ (ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ) ਪਾਰ-ਉਤਾਰਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਜਾਪਹੁ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਰੋ ॥੧॥
so har har tumH sad hee jaapahu jaa kaa ant na paaro. ||1||
Meditate continually on that God who has no end or limitation. ||1||
ਜਿਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈ ਸਕਦਾ ਪਾਰਲਾ ਬੰਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭ ਸਕਦਾ, ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਰਹੁ ॥੧॥
ਪੂਤਾ ਮਾਤਾ ਕੀ ਆਸੀਸ ॥
pootaa maataa kee aasees.
O’ my son, this is your mother’s blessing,
ਹੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ! (ਤੈਨੂੰ) ਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਅਸੀਸ ਹੈ-
ਨਿਮਖ ਨ ਬਿਸਰਉ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਭਜਹੁ ਜਗਦੀਸ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
nimakh na bisara-o tumH ka-o har har sadaa bhajahu jagdees. ||1|| rahaa-o.
that you may not forget God even for one moment and you may always remember God, the master of the universe.||1||Pause||
ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਅੱਖ ਝਮਕਣ ਜਿਤਨੇ ਸਮੇ ਲਈ ਭੀ ਨਾਹ ਭੁੱਲੇ, ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਰਹੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਕਉ ਹੋਇ ਦਇਆਲਾ ਸੰਤਸੰਗਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ॥
satgur tumH ka-o ho-ay da-i-aalaa satsang tayree pareet.
May the Guru be kind to you and may you be imbued with the love for the Guru.
ਹੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ! ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਰਹੇ, ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹੇ,
ਕਾਪੜੁ ਪਤਿ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਰਾਖੀ ਭੋਜਨੁ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਨੀਤਿ ॥੨॥
kaaparh pat parmaysar raakhee bhojan keertan neet. ||2||
May God preserve your honor just as clothes cover the body and singing God’s praise may be your spiritual food.||2||
(ਜਿਵੇਂ) ਕੱਪੜਾ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਪਰਦਾ ਢੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਿਵੇਂ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਰੱਖੇ, ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਖ਼ੁਰਾਕ ਬਣੀ ਰਹੇ ॥੨॥
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਵਹੁ ਸਦਾ ਚਿਰੁ ਜੀਵਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਅਨਦ ਅਨੰਤਾ ॥
amrit peevhu sadaa chir jeevhu har simrat anad anantaa.
Drink in forever the Ambrosial Nectar of Naam; forever live the highest spiritual life, and keep enjoying the bliss of remembering the infinite God.
ਹੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ! ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ ਸਦਾ ਪੀਂਦਾ ਰਹੁ, ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਤੇਰਾ ਉੱਚਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹੇ। ਹੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਅਮੁੱਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਰੰਗ ਤਮਾਸਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਆਸਾ ਕਬਹਿ ਨ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਚਿੰਤਾ ॥੩॥
rang tamaasaa pooran aasaa kabeh na bi-aapai chintaa. ||3||
May spiritual joy and pleasure be yours; and you may never be afflicted by any worry.||3||
ਆਤਮਕ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਰਹਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਸਭ ਆਸਾਂ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਚਿੰਤਾ ਕਦੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦੀ ॥੩॥
ਭਵਰੁ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰਾ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਹੋਵਉ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣਾ ਹੋਹੁ ਕਉਲਾ ॥
bhavar tumHaaraa ih man hova-o har charnaa hohu ka-ulaa.
O’ my son, may your mind be imbued with the love of God’s Name like the bumblebee to the lotus flower.
ਹੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ! ਤੇਰਾ ਇਹ ਮਨ ਭੌਰਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹੇ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ (ਤੇਰੇ ਮਨ-ਭੌਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਕੌਲ-ਫੁੱਲ ਬਣੇ ਰਹਿਣ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸੁ ਉਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਲਪਟਾਇਓ ਜਿਉ ਬੂੰਦਹਿ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕੁ ਮਉਲਾ ॥੪॥੩॥੪॥
naanak daas un sang laptaa-i-o ji-o booNdeh chaatrik ma-ulaa. ||4||3||4||
O’ Nanak, the God’s devotee remains attuned to Naam, like the songbird, yearn for the rain-drop. ||4||3||4||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਇਉਂ ਲਪਟਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ; ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਪੀਹਾ ਵਰਖਾ ਦੀ ਬੂੰਦ ਪੀ ਕੇ ਖਿੜਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੩॥੪॥

Goojree, Fifth Mehl:
ਮਤਾ ਕਰੈ ਪਛਮ ਕੈ ਤਾਈ ਪੂਰਬ ਹੀ ਲੈ ਜਾਤ ॥
mataa karai pachham kai taa-ee poorab hee lai jaat.
One decides to go to the west, but God leads him away to the east.
ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪੱਛਮ ਵਲ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਬਣਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਲੈ ਤੁਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਥਾਪਿ ਉਥਾਪਨਹਾਰਾ ਆਪਨ ਹਾਥਿ ਮਤਾਤ ॥੧॥
khin meh thaap uthaapanhaaraa aapan haath mataat. ||1||
In an instant, He establishes and disestablishes; everything is under His command. ||1||
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਇਕ ਖਿਨ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਦਾ ਤੇ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਹਰੇਕ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਸਿਆਨਪ ਕਾਹੂ ਕਾਮਿ ਨ ਆਤ ॥
si-aanap kaahoo kaam na aat.
One’s own cleverness is of no use at all.
(ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ) ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ਕਿਸੇ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ।
ਜੋ ਅਨਰੂਪਿਓ ਠਾਕੁਰਿ ਮੇਰੈ ਹੋਇ ਰਹੀ ਉਹ ਬਾਤ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jo anroopi-o thaakur mayrai ho-ay rahee uh baat. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Whatever God has preordained, that alone comes to pass. ||1||Pause||
ਜੋ ਗੱਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਨੇ ਮਿਥੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਹੀ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਦੇਸੁ ਕਮਾਵਨ ਧਨ ਜੋਰਨ ਕੀ ਮਨਸਾ ਬੀਚੇ ਨਿਕਸੇ ਸਾਸ ॥
days kamaavan Dhan joran kee mansaa beechay niksay saas.
In his desire to domain and accumulate wealth, he breathes his last,
(ਵੇਖ, ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਹੋਰ ਦੇਸ ਮੱਲਣ ਤੇ ਧਨ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਲਾਲਸਾ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਨਿਕਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਲਸਕਰ ਨੇਬ ਖਵਾਸ ਸਭ ਤਿਆਗੇ ਜਮ ਪੁਰਿ ਊਠਿ ਸਿਧਾਸ ॥੨॥
laskar nayb khavaas sabh ti-aagay jam pur ooth siDhaas. ||2||
and forsaking all his armies, advisors and servants he departs to the city of death. ||2||
ਫ਼ੌਜਾਂ ਅਹਿਲਕਾਰ ਚੋਬਦਾਰ ਆਦਿਕ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਲ ਤੁਰ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਉਸ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਧਰੀ ਦੀ ਧਰੀ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ) ॥੨॥
ਹੋਇ ਅਨੰਨਿ ਮਨਹਠ ਕੀ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਤਾ ਆਪਸ ਕਉ ਜਾਨਾਤ ॥
ho-ay annan manhath kee darirh-taa aapas ka-o jaanaat.
With the obstinacy of his mind, a person may become a renouncer of the world, and make himself known as a person of will power, and sacrifice
ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਹਠ ਦੀ ਪਕਿਆਈ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਾਸਾ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ (ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਤ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ, ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੜਾ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਕੰਮ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ ਤਿਆਗੀ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡਾ ਜਤਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜੋ ਅਨਿੰਦੁ ਨਿੰਦੁ ਕਰਿ ਛੋਡਿਓ ਸੋਈ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਖਾਤ ॥੩॥
jo anind nind kar chhodi-o so-ee fir fir khaat. ||3||
He repeatedly goes to the same world for food which he has renounced as unworthy. ||3||
ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਤ ਨੂੰ ਨਿੰਦਣ-ਜੋਗ ਮਿਥ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਭੀ) ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ (ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਤੀਆਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਹੀ ਲੈ ਲੈ ਕੇ) ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਸਹਜ ਸੁਭਾਇ ਭਏ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਕਾਟੀ ਫਾਸ ॥
sahj subhaa-ay bha-ay kirpaalaa tis jan kee kaatee faas.
Only when God becomes gracious, the noose of worldly attachment is cut off.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸੁਭਾਵਿਕ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੀ) ਫਾਹੀ ਕੱਟ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਗਿਰਸਤ ਉਦਾਸ ॥੪॥੪॥੫॥
kaho naanak gur pooraa bhayti-aa parvaan girsat udaas. ||4||4||5||
Nanak says, he who has met the perfect Guru and followed his teachings, becomes detached from the worldly attractions even while living as a housholder and is approved in God’s presence. ||4||4||5||
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਤ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਲੋਂ ਨਿਰਮੋਹ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਕਬੂਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੪॥੫॥

Raag Goojaree, Fifth Guru:
ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਜਨਿ ਜਪਿਓ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਕਾਟੇ ॥
naam niDhaan jin jan japi-o tin kay banDhan kaatay.
Those who meditate on the treasure of Naam, their bonds of worldly attachments are cut off.
ਜਿਸ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਕੱਟੇ ਗਏ।
ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਮਾਇਆ ਬਿਖੁ ਮਮਤਾ ਇਹ ਬਿਆਧਿ ਤੇ ਹਾਟੇ ॥੧॥
kaam kroDh maa-i-aa bikh mamtaa ih bi-aaDh tay haatay. ||1||
They escape from afflictions such as lust, anger and the love of Maya. ||1||
ਕਾਮ, ਕ੍ਰੋਧ, ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਮਮਤਾ-ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਰੋਗਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਉਹ ਬਚ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਗਾਇਓ ॥
har jas saaDhsang mil gaa-i-o.
By joining the congregation of saintly persons, one who has sung God’s praises,
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਇਆ,
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਭਇਓ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖਾ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇਅਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
gur parsaad bha-i-o man nirmal sarab sukhaa sukh paa-i-a-o. ||1|| rahaa-o.
by the Guru’s Grace his mind became immaculate and he received all kinds of comforts and spiritual peace. ||1||Pause||
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕੀਓ ਸੋਈ ਭਲ ਮਾਨੈ ਐਸੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਮਾਨੀ ॥
jo kichh kee-o so-ee bhal maanai aisee bhagat kamaanee.
Whatever God does, he sees that good for all; such is his devotional service to God.
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਅਜੇਹੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਦੀ ਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਭਲਾ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਸਭ ਏਕ ਸਮਾਨੇ ਜੋਗ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਨੀਸਾਨੀ ॥੨॥
mitar satar sabh ayk samaanay jog jugat neesaanee. ||2||
To him, friends and enemies seem the same, this is the way and the sign of union with God. ||2||
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਕੋ ਜਿਹੇ (ਮਿੱਤਰ ਹੀ) ਦਿੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ ਤਰੀਕਾ, ਤੇ ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੀ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੀ ॥੨॥
ਪੂਰਨ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਸ੍ਰਬ ਥਾਈ ਆਨ ਨ ਕਤਹੂੰ ਜਾਤਾ ॥
pooran poor rahi-o sarab thaa-ee aan na katahooN jaataa.
He believes that the perfect God is pervading everywhere; he did not deem anyone else living everywhere.
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਛਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਨੂੰ (ਸਭ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ) ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਿਆ।
ਘਟ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਰਬ ਨਿਰੰਤਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਵਿਓ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ॥੩॥
ghat ghat antar sarab nirantar rang ravi-o rang raataa. ||3||
For him, God is permeating in every heart; imbued in the love of God, he enjoys His love. ||3||
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ, ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਭਏ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਦਇਆਲ ਗੁਪਾਲਾ ਤਾ ਨਿਰਭੈ ਕੈ ਘਰਿ ਆਇਆ ॥
bha-ay kirpaal da-i-aal gupaalaa taa nirbhai kai ghar aa-i-aa.
When God, the Master of the earth, becomes gracious on someone then that person becomes absorbed in the fearless God.
ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉੱਤੇ ਗੋਪਾਲ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਨਿਰਭੈ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
