ਐਥੈ ਮਿਲਹਿ ਵਡਾਈਆ ਦਰਗਹਿ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਥਾਉ ॥੩॥
aithai mileh vadaa-ee-aa dargahi paavahi thaa-o. ||3||
(In this way), you would obtain glory in this world and honor in God’s court.
ਇਸ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ (ਸਭ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੇ) ਆਦਰ-ਮਾਣ ਮਿਲਣਗੇ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਦਰਗਹ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਆਦਰ ਪਾਏਂਗਾ l
ਕਰੇ ਕਰਾਏ ਆਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਤਿਸ ਹੀ ਹਾਥਿ ॥
karay karaa-ay aap parabh sabh kichh tis hee haath.
God Himself does, and gets done all things. Everything is under His control.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਕਰਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹਰੇਕ ਖੇਡ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ।
ਮਾਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਜੀਵਾਲਦਾ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਸਾਥਿ ॥
maar aapay jeevaaldaa antar baahar saath.v
He Himself bestows spiritual life and death; He is with us both inside and out.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤੇ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਬਾਹਰ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਸਰਬ ਘਟਾ ਕੇ ਨਾਥ ॥੪॥੧੫॥੮੫॥
naanak parabh sarnaagatee sarab ghataa kay naath. ||4||15||85||
Nanak always seeks the Sanctuary of God who is the Master of all hearts.
ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਸੰਭਾਲੀ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ।

Siree Raag, by the Fifth Guru:
ਸਰਣਿ ਪਏ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੁ ਹੋਆ ਕਿਰਪਾਲੁ ॥
saran pa-ay parabh aapnay gur ho-aa kirpaal.
On whom the Guru is merciful, he comes to the Sanctuary of God.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਤਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਉਪਦੇਸਿਐ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਸਰਬ ਜੰਜਾਲ ॥
satgur kai updaysi-ai binsay sarab janjaal.
Through the Teachings of the True Guru, all the worldly entanglements are eliminated.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ (ਮਾਇਆ-ਮੋਹ ਵਾਲੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਜੰਜਾਲ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਅੰਦਰੁ ਲਗਾ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲੁ ॥੧॥
andar lagaa raam naam amrit nadar nihaal. ||1||
The God’s Name is firmly implanted within his mind; through His Ambrosial Glance of Grace, he is delighted in his heart.
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਖਿੜ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ
ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਸਾਰੁ ॥
man mayray satgur sayvaa saar.
O my mind, serve the True Guru by following his teaching.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ (ਦੱਸੀ ਹੋਈ) ਸੇਵਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਕਰ।
ਕਰੇ ਦਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਣੀ ਇਕ ਨਿਮਖ ਨ ਮਨਹੁ ਵਿਸਾਰੁ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
karay da-i-aa parabh aapnee ik nimakh na manhu visaar. rahaa-o.
Do not forget Him, even for an instant. One who does that, God Himself grants His glance of grace upon him.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਖ ਦੇ ਫੋਰ ਜਿਤਨੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਭੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਤੋਂ ਨਾਹ ਭੁਲਾ। ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਹ ਉੱਦਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ l
ਗੁਣ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਨਿਤ ਗਾਵੀਅਹਿ ਅਵਗੁਣ ਕਟਣਹਾਰ ॥
gun govind nit gavee-ah avgun katanhaar.
We should always sing the Praises of God, the Destroyer of vices.
ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰ, ਜੋ ਬਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਨ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ਕਰਿ ਡਿਠੇ ਬਿਸਥਾਰ ॥
bin har naam na sukh ho-ay kar dithay bisthaar.
After having seen and tried all sorts of displays of Maya, I have concluded that without God’s Name there is no peace.
ਕਈ ਅਡੰਬਰ ਰਚ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਸਾਬਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ।
ਸਹਜੇ ਸਿਫਤੀ ਰਤਿਆ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਉਤਰੇ ਪਾਰਿ ॥੨॥
sehjay siftee rati-aa bhavjal utray paar. ||2||
By being intuitively imbued with His Praises, mortals have crossed over the terrifying world-ocean of vices.
ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰ ਪਾਇਆਂ ਜੀਵ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ
ਤੀਰਥ ਵਰਤ ਲਖ ਸੰਜਮਾ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਾਧੂ ਧੂਰਿ ॥
tirath varat lakh sanjmaa paa-ee-ai saaDhoo Dhoor.
Following the Guru’s teachings with humility is as good as going to pilgrimages, keeping fasts, and practicing millions of austerities.
ਲੱਖ ਯਾਤਰਾ, ਵਰਤਾ ਤੇ ਇੰਦ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਸ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਉੱਦਮਾ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਕ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਲੂਕਿ ਕਮਾਵੈ ਕਿਸ ਤੇ ਜਾ ਵੇਖੈ ਸਦਾ ਹਦੂਰਿ ॥
look kamaavai kis tay jaa vaykhai sadaa hadoor.
From whom are you trying to hide your actions? God sees all;
ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਅਮਲ ਕਿਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਛੁਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਦ ਕਿ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਨਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਥਾਨ ਥਨੰਤਰਿ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥੩॥
thaan thanantar rav rahi-aa parabh mayraa bharpoor. ||3||
My God is totally pervading all places and interspaces.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤਾਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪੂਰੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ l
ਸਚੁ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੀ ਅਮਰੁ ਸਚੁ ਸਚੇ ਸਚਾ ਥਾਨੁ ॥
sach paatisaahee amar sach sachay sachaa thaan.
True is His kingdom, and eternal is His Command and His Seat of Authority.
ਸੱਚੀ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹੀ, ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮ-ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਅਸਥਾਨ।
ਸਚੀ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਧਾਰੀਅਨੁ ਸਚਿ ਸਿਰਜਿਓਨੁ ਜਹਾਨੁ ॥
sachee kudrat Dhaaree-an sach sirji-on jahaan.
Eternal is the nature which He has created . True is the world which He has fashioned.
ਸੱਚੀ ਹੈ ਅਪਾਰ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਰਚੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਜਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਪੀਐ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਉ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੁ ॥੪॥੧੬॥੮੬॥
naanak japee-ai sach naam ha-o sadaa sadaa kurbaan. ||4||16||86||
O’ Nanak, meditate on God’s Name with love and devotion, to which I am dedicated forever.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ l

ਉਦਮੁ ਕਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਪਣਾ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਧਨੁ ਖਾਟਿ ॥
udam kar har jaapnaa vadbhaagee Dhan khaat.
O’ the fortunate one, make an effort and meditate on God’s Name and earn the wealth of Naam.
ਹੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ! ਤੂੰ ਉਪਰਾਲਾ ਕਰ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਾਧ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਦੀ ਖੱਟੀ ਖੱਟ।
ਸੰਤਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਣਾ ਮਲੁ ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੀ ਕਾਟਿ ॥੧॥
satsang har simranaa mal janam janam kee kaat. ||1||
In the Society of the Saints, meditate on God’s Name with loving devotion, and wash off the filth of sins accumulated in countless births.
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਤੂੰ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਕੀਤੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ l
ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਿ ਜਾਪੁ ॥
man mayray raam naam jap jaap.
O my mind, chant and meditate on the Name of God.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਦੇ ਨਾਮ) ਦਾ ਜਾਪ ਜਪ।
ਮਨ ਇਛੇ ਫਲ ਭੁੰਚਿ ਤੂ ਸਭੁ ਚੂਕੈ ਸੋਗੁ ਸੰਤਾਪੁ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
man ichhay fal bhunch too sabh chookai sog santaap. rahaa-o.
Enjoy the rewards of your mind’s desires; all sufferings and sorrows shall depart.
(ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਤੂੰ ਮਨ-ਭਾਉਂਦੇ ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ, ਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਸਹਮ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਇਗਾ l
ਜਿਸੁ ਕਾਰਣਿ ਤਨੁ ਧਾਰਿਆ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਡਿਠਾ ਨਾਲਿ ॥
jis kaaran tan Dhaari-aa so parabh dithaa naal.
By feeling God always with you, you have achieved the purpose for which you had received this body.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਵਾਸਤੇ, ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਵੇਖ ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ l
ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਪੂਰਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਣੀ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲਿ ॥੨॥
jal thal mahee-al poori-aa parabh aapnee nadar nihaal. ||2||
God is pervading the water, the land and the sky; He sees all with His Glance of Grace.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜਲ ਵਿਚ, ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿਚ, ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿਚ, ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ ਤੇ (ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ l
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਇਆ ਲਾਗੀ ਸਾਚੁ ਪਰੀਤਿ ॥
man tan nirmal ho-i-aa laagee saach pareet.
One who is always imbued with the love for God, his body and mind becomes immaculate.
ਥਿਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਪਾਉਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੇ ਦੇਹਿ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਚਰਣ ਭਜੇ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੇ ਸਭਿ ਜਪ ਤਪ ਤਿਨ ਹੀ ਕੀਤਿ ॥੩॥
charan bhajay paarbarahm kay sabh jap tap tin hee keet. ||3||
By meditating on God’s Name with love and devotion, they have earned the merits of having performed all worships and penances.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਸੇਵੇ ਹਨ, ਮਾਨੋ, ਸਾਰੇ ਜਪ ਸਾਰੇ ਤਪ ਉਸੇ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਕਰ ਲਏ ਹਨ l
ਰਤਨ ਜਵੇਹਰ ਮਾਣਿਕਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਉ ॥
ratan javayhar maanikaa amrit har kaa naa-o.
The Ambrosial Name of God is precious like a real Gem, a Jewel, a Pearl.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਅਟੱਲ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ (ਹੀ ਅਸਲੀ) ਰਤਨ ਜਵਾਹਰ ਤੇ ਮੋਤੀ ਹੈ,
ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਆਨੰਦ ਰਸ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ॥੪॥੧੭॥੮੭॥
sookh sahj aanand ras jan naanak har gun gaa-o. ||4||17||87||
O’ Nanak, the essence of intuitive peace, poise and bliss is obtained by singing praises of God.
ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਸੁਖ ਆਨੰਦ ਦੇ ਰਸ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ l

ਸੋਈ ਸਾਸਤੁ ਸਉਣੁ ਸੋਇ ਜਿਤੁ ਜਪੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਉ ॥
so-ee saasat sa-un so-ay jit japee-ai har naa-o.
That alone is the holy book, and that alone is an auspicious omen, which inspires one to meditate on God’s Name.
ਉਹੀ ਹੈ ਧਾਰਮਕ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਸੁੱਭ ਸ਼ਗਨ, ਜਿਸ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ।
ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਗੁਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਦੀਆ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਨਿਥਾਵੇ ਥਾਉ ॥
charan kamal gur Dhan dee-aa mili-aa nithaavay thaa-o.
The Guru has given me the Wealth of God’s immaculate word and I feel as if a shelterless person like me has now obtained a Shelter.
ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਕੰਵਲ ਰੂਪੀ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਟਿਕਾਣੇ-ਰਹਿਤ ਨੂੰ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਸਾਚੀ ਪੂੰਜੀ ਸਚੁ ਸੰਜਮੋ ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ॥
saachee poonjee sach sanjamo aath pahar gun gaa-o.
The true wealth of God’s Name, and true austerity, comes by singing His Glories, twenty-four hours a day.
ਸੱਚੀ ਰਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਰਹਿਣੀ-ਬਹਿਣੀ ਅੱਠੇ ਪਹਿਰ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਮਰਣੁ ਨ ਆਵਣੁ ਜਾਉ ॥੧॥
kar kirpaa parabh bhayti-aa maran na aavan jaa-o. ||1||
Granting His Grace, God has revealed Himself, and we no longer are subjected to cycle of birth and death.
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਭਜੁ ਸਦਾ ਇਕ ਰੰਗਿ ॥
mayray man har bhaj sadaa ik rang.
O’ my mind, always meditate on God’s Name with love and devotion.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ (ਜੁੜ ਕੇ) ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ ਕਰ।
ਘਟ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਦਾ ਸਹਾਈ ਸੰਗਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ghat ghat antar rav rahi-aa sadaa sahaa-ee sang. ||1|| rahaa-o.
He pervades each and every heart, and is always with us to help us.
ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਸਹੈਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ
ਸੁਖਾ ਕੀ ਮਿਤਿ ਕਿਆ ਗਣੀ ਜਾ ਸਿਮਰੀ ਗੋਵਿੰਦੁ ॥
sukhaa kee mit ki-aa ganee jaa simree govind.
I cannot describe the happiness that I feel when I meditate on the Master of the universe.
ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਾ ਸਕਦਾ, ਜਿਹੜੀ ਉਦੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ l
ਜਿਨ ਚਾਖਿਆ ਸੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਸਿਆ ਉਹ ਰਸੁ ਜਾਣੈ ਜਿੰਦੁ ॥
jin chaakhi-aa say tariptaasi-aa uh ras jaanai jind.
Those who taste the elixir of Naam are satiated (from the Maya), their soul alone knows the relish of the Nectar of Naam.
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਚੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਵਲੋਂ) ਰਜ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ; ਉਹੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਉਸ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਦੀ ਹੈ।
