ਕਿਛੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਨ ਚਾਹੀ ॥੨॥

I do not need any such thing. ||2||
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਚੀਜ਼ ਦੀ ਭੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ ॥੨॥
ਚਰਨਨ ਸਰਨਨ ਸੰਤਨ ਬੰਦਨ ॥ ਸੁਖੋ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਹੀ ॥
charnan sarnan santan bandan. sukho sukh paahee.
I find comfort and peace in the refuge of the saint (Guru) and humbly bowing before him.
ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ, ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਮੈਂ ਸੁਖ ਹੀ ਸੁਖ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਤਪਤਿ ਹਰੀ ॥ ਮਿਲੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪਿਰੀ ॥੩॥੩॥੧੪੩॥
naanak tapat haree. milay paraym piree. ||3||3||143||
O Nanak, the anguish of worldly desires from the mind is removed by receiving the love of the beloved God. ||3||3||143||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਏ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਮਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਦੀ ਸੜਨ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥੩॥੧੪੩॥

ਗੁਰਹਿ ਦਿਖਾਇਓ ਲੋਇਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

O’ God, the Guru has helped me to behold You with my own eyes. ||1||pause||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਈਤਹਿ ਊਤਹਿ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਤੂੰਹੀ ਤੂੰਹੀ ਮੋਹਿਨਾ ॥੧॥
eeteh ooteh ghat ghat ghat ghat tooNhee tooNhee mohinaa. ||1||
O’ fascinating God, here and hereafter and in each and every heart, I see You and only You ||1||
ਹੇ ਮੋਹਨਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ, ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ, ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ, ਹਰੇਕ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਦਿੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੧॥
ਕਾਰਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਧਾਰਨ ਧਰਨਾ ਏਕੈ ਏਕੈ ਸੋਹਿਨਾ ॥੨॥
kaaran karnaa Dhaaran Dharnaa aikai aikai sohinaa. ||2||
O’ my beauteous God, You alone are the cause of causes and the support of the entire universe.||2||
ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਇਕ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਮੂਲ ਰਚਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਇਕ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੨॥
ਸੰਤਨ ਪਰਸਨ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਦਰਸਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਖਿ ਸੁਖਿ ਸੋਇਨਾ ॥੩॥੪॥੧੪੪॥
santan parsan balihaaree darsan naanak sukh sukh so-inaa. ||3||4||144||
O’ Nanak, I humbly bow to the saint-Guru, by whose grace I am blessed with His sight and remain immersed in bliss . ||3||4||144||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-ਹੇ ਮੋਹਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਛੁੰਹਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ (ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ) ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੩॥੪॥੧੪੪॥

Raag Aasaa, Fifth Guru:
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਮੋਲਾ ॥
har har naam amolaa.
One who is blessed with the priceless Name of God,
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਅਮੋਲਕ ਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਓਹੁ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
oh sahj suhaylaa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
lives in peace and poise.||1||pause||
ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਸੌਖਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਿਤੀਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸੰਗਿ ਸਹਾਈ ਛੋਡਿ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਓਹੁ ਅਗਹ ਅਤੋਲਾ ॥੧॥
sang sahaa-ee chhod na jaa-ee oh agah atolaa. ||1||
God is our everlasting companion, He never forsakes us, He is unfathomable and is incomparable.||1||
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਦਾ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਾਥੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਕਦੇ ਛੱਡ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ, ਉਹ ਅਥਾਹ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਦਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਭਾਈ ਬਾਪੁ ਮੋਰੋ ਮਾਈ ਭਗਤਨ ਕਾ ਓਲ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ॥੨॥
pareetam bhaa-ee baap moro maa-ee bhagtan kaa olHaa. ||2||
God is my friend, brother, father and my mother; He is the support of His devotees.||2||
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਹੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਰਾ ਹੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਉ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ (ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ) ਦਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਅਲਖੁ ਲਖਾਇਆ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਇਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਚੋਲ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ॥੩॥੫॥੧੪੫॥
alakh lakhaa-i-aa gur tay paa-i-aa naanak ih har kaa cholHaa. ||3||5||145||
O’ Nanak, the incomprehensible God is comprehended and realized through the Guru this is the wondrous play of God. ||3||5||145||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਅਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਸੁਆਮੀ, ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਚੁਹਲ ਹੈ ॥੩॥੫॥੧੪੫॥

ਆਪੁਨੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਨਿਬਾਹਿ ॥ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਆਇਓ ਆਹਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
aapunee bhagat nibaahi. thaakur aa-i-o aahi. ||1|| rahaa-o.
O’ my Master-God, with great expectation I have come to You; please help me sustain my devotional worship.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂਘ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨ) ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਸਦਾ ਦੇਈ ਰੱਖ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਨਾਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਹੋਇ ਸਕਾਰਥੁ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਚਰਨ ਬਸਾਹਿ ॥੧॥
naam padaarath ho-ay sakaarath hirdai charan basaahi. ||1||
O’ God, enshrine Your love in my heart and bless me with the wealth of Naam, so that my life may become fruitful. ||1||
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਈ ਰੱਖ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਨਾਮ ਦੇਈ ਰੱਖ, ਤਾਕਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਸਫਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਏ ॥੧॥
ਏਹ ਮੁਕਤਾ ਏਹ ਜੁਗਤਾ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਸੰਗਾਹਿ ॥੨॥
ayh muktaa ayh jugtaa raakho sant sangaahi. ||2||
O’ God, please keep me in the company of the saints, this alone is the right way of life and salvation. ||2||
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖੀ ਰੱਖ, ਇਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਇਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਜੀਵਨ-ਚੱਜ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵਉ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਵਉ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਹਿ ॥੩॥੬॥੧੪੬॥
naam Dhi-aava-o sahj samaava-o naanak har gun gaahi. ||3||6||146||
Nanak says, O’ God, bless me so that I may keep singing Your praises and by meditating on Naam, I may remain absorbed in celestial peace. ||3||6||146||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! (ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ) ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਚੁੱਭੀ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਾਂ ॥੩॥੬॥੧੪੬॥

ਠਾਕੁਰ ਚਰਣ ਸੁਹਾਵੇ ॥
thaakur charan suhaavay.
Beautiful is the love of God,
ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਹਨ,
ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤਨ ਪਾਵੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har santan paavay. ||1|| rahaa-o.
but only God’s saints are blessed with this love. ||1||pause||
ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਸੇਵ ਕਮਾਇਆ ਗੁਨ ਰਸਿ ਰਸਿ ਗਾਵੇ ॥੧॥
aap gavaa-i-aa sayv kamaa-i-aa gun ras ras gaavay. ||1||
Eradicating their self-conceit, God’s devotees perform devotional worship by delightfully singing His praises. ||1||
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੰਤ ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਬੜੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਨਾਲ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
ਏਕਹਿ ਆਸਾ ਦਰਸ ਪਿਆਸਾ ਆਨ ਨ ਭਾਵੇ ॥੨॥
aykeh aasaa daras pi-aasaa aan na bhaavay. ||2||
The saints have only one desire and hope in their hearts and that is their craving to see His vision; nothing else is pleasing to them. ||2||
ਸੰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਆਸਾ ਟਿਕੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਦੀ ਤਾਂਘ ਲੱਗੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਚੰਗੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦੀ ॥੨॥
ਦਇਆ ਤੁਹਾਰੀ ਕਿਆ ਜੰਤ ਵਿਚਾਰੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਵੇ ॥੩॥੭॥੧੪੭॥
da-i-aa tuhaaree ki-aa jant vichaaree naanak bal bal jaavay. ||3||7||147||
O’ God, the love in the hearts of Your saints is due to Your kindness, what could a helpless person do? Nanak is dedicated to You.||3||7||147||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਤੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਹੋਣਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਹੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਹੈ ਵਿਚਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੀਹ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੈ।ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇਰੇ ਊਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ੩ll੭ll੧੪੭l

ਏਕੁ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਮਨ ਮਾਹੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Meditate only on the one God in your mind. ||1||pause||
ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵਹੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਬਸਾਵਹੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਕੋ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੧॥
naam Dhi-aavahu ridai basaavhu tis bin ko naahee. ||1||
Yes, meditate on Naam and keep it enshrined in your heart, because there is no one other than Him who can help us. ||1||
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਕਰੋ, ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਈ ਰੱਖੋ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ (ਸਹਾਈ) ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਨੀ ਆਈਐ ਸਰਬ ਫਲ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਗਲੇ ਦੁਖ ਜਾਹੀ ॥੨॥
parabh sarnee aa-ee-ai sarab fal paa-ee-ai saglay dukh jaahee. ||2||
Let us seek the refuge of God and attain all the fruits of our heart’s desires; in God’s refuge all sufferings are taken away.||2||
ਆਓ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਏ ਰਹੀਏ (ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਸਾਰੇ ਫਲ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰੀਏ। (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆਂ) ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
ਜੀਅਨ ਕੋ ਦਾਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਆਹੀ ॥੩॥੮॥੧੪੮॥
jee-an ko daataa purakh biDhaataa naanak ghat ghat aahee. ||3||8||148||
O’ Nanak, the Creator God is the Giver of all beings and He dwells in each and every heart.||3||8||148||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਸਿਰਜਨਹਾਰ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ ॥੩॥੮॥੧੪੮॥

ਹਰਿ ਬਿਸਰਤ ਸੋ ਮੂਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har bisrat so moo-aa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
One who has forsaken God, deem that one as spiritually dead. ||1||pause||
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਭੁੱਲ ਗਈ ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤੇ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵੈ ਸਰਬ ਫਲ ਪਾਵੈ ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਸੁਖੀਆ ਹੂਆ ॥੧॥
naam Dhi-aavai sarab fal paavai so jan sukhee-aa hoo-aa. ||1||
One who meditates on Naam with loving devotion, obtains all fruits of his mind’s desires and lives in peace. ||1||
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ (ਮਨ-ਇੱਛਤ) ਫਲ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸੌਖਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਰਾਜੁ ਕਹਾਵੈ ਹਉ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਵੈ ਬਾਧਿਓ ਨਲਿਨੀ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਸੂਆ ॥੨॥
raaj kahaavai ha-o karam kamaavai baaDhi-o nalinee bharam soo-aa. ||2||
One who calls himself a king and indulges in egotistic deeds, is caught by his own deeds, like a parrot in a trap. ||2||
ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਖਵਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਹੰਕਾਰੀ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਐਉ ਪਕੜ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੋਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਕੁੜਿੱਕੀ ਨੇ।
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਸੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਥੀਆ ॥੩॥੯॥੧੪੯॥
kaho naanak jis satgur bhayti-aa so jan nihchal thee-aa. ||3||9||149||
Nanak says, one who meets the true Guru and follows his teachings, achieves a unshakable spiritual life. ||3||9||149||
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਅਟੱਲ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥੯॥੧੪੯॥

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik-oNkaar satgur parsaad.
One eternal God, realized by the grace of the true Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਓਹੁ ਨੇਹੁ ਨਵੇਲਾ ॥
oh nayhu navaylaa.
That love is forever fresh and new,
ਉਹ ਪਿਆਰ ਸਦਾ ਨਵਾਂ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ,
ਅਪੁਨੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਗਿ ਰਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
apunay pareetam si-o laag rahai. ||1|| rahaa-o.
which is for the Beloved-God. ||1||Pause||
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ ਜਨਮਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥
jo parabh bhaavai janam na aavai.
One who is pleasing to God escapes repeated births
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਜਨਮ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ।
ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਰਚੈ ॥੧॥
har paraym bhagat har pareet rachai. ||1||
One who engages in the devotional worship, he always remains engrossed in the love of God. ||1||
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਭਗਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ (ਸਦਾ) ਹਰੀ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
