ਮੋਹਨ ਲਾਲ ਅਨੂਪ ਸਰਬ ਸਾਧਾਰੀਆ ॥
mohan laal anoop sarab saaDhaaree-aa.
O’ the Fascinating and Beauteous Beloved God, the Giver of support to all,
ਹੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਹ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਲਾਲ! ਹੇ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!
ਗੁਰ ਨਿਵਿ ਨਿਵਿ ਲਾਗਉ ਪਾਇ ਦੇਹੁ ਦਿਖਾਰੀਆ ॥੩॥
gur niv niv laaga-o paa-ay dayh dikhaaree-aa. ||3||
I humbly bow before the Guru and request him to help me to realize You.
ਮੈਂ ਨਿਊਂ ਨਿਊਂ ਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਪੈਰੀਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ (ਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਅੱਗੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰਾ) ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰਾ ਦੇਵੇ ॥
ਮੈ ਕੀਏ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਅਨੇਕ ਇਕਸੁ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀਆ ॥
mai kee-ay mitar anayk ikas balihaaree-aa.
I had made friendship with many, but now I dedicate myself to God alone.
ਮੈਂ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ, ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ l
ਸਭ ਗੁਣ ਕਿਸ ਹੀ ਨਾਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਪੂਰ ਭੰਡਾਰੀਆ ॥੪॥
sabh gun kis hee naahi har poor bhandaaree-aa. ||4||
None has all virtues, God alone is the brimfull treasure of excellences.
ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਣ (ਭੀ) ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ, ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਭਰੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਿਆਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ l
ਚਹੁ ਦਿਸਿ ਜਪੀਐ ਨਾਉ ਸੂਖਿ ਸਵਾਰੀਆ ॥
chahu dis japee-ai naa-o sookh savaaree-aa.
O’ God, Your Name is being meditated upon everywhere, and the one who meditates on Naam is embellished with peace.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਚੌਹੀਂ ਪਾਸੀਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸੁਖ-ਆਨੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਸੰਵਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਮੈ ਆਹੀ ਓੜਿ ਤੁਹਾਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀਆ ॥੫॥
mai aahee orh tuhaar naanak balihaaree-aa. ||5||
O’ Nanak, I seek your protection and I am dedicated to You. ||5||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ!, ਮੈਂ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ l ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਤੱਕਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰਿ ਕਾਢਿਓ ਭੁਜਾ ਪਸਾਰਿ ਮੋਹ ਕੂਪਾਰੀਆ ॥
gur kaadhi-o bhujaa pasaar moh koopaaree-aa.
The Guru helped me and lifted me out of the deep pit of emotional attachment.
ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਾਂਹ ਖਿਲਾਰ ਕੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਖੂਹ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਮੈ ਜੀਤਿਓ ਜਨਮੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਹਾਰੀਆ ॥੬॥
mai jeeti-o janam apaar bahur na haaree-aa. ||6||
I have won the game of priceless human life, and I shall not lose it again.
ਮੈਂ ਅਮੋਲਕ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਮੁੜਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਰਾਂਗਾ।
ਮੈ ਪਾਇਓ ਸਰਬ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਅਕਥੁ ਕਥਾਰੀਆ ॥
mai paa-i-o sarab niDhaan akath kathaaree-aa.
I have realized God, the treasure of virtues; Whose praises are indescribable.
ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ l
ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਸੋਭਾਵੰਤ ਬਾਹ ਲੁਡਾਰੀਆ ॥੭॥
har dargeh sobhaavant baah ludaaree-aa. ||7||
Now I shall go to God’s court with great joy, and will obtain honor there.(7)
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਕੀਰਤੀਮਾਨ ਹੈ ਮੈਂ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਪਣੀ ਭੁਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਲਾਰਾਂਗਾ।
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਲਧਾ ਰਤਨੁ ਅਮੋਲੁ ਅਪਾਰੀਆ ॥
jan naanak laDhaa ratan amol aapaaree-aa.
Devotee Nanak has realized the invaluable jewel like Name of infinite God.
ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਸਾਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਣਮੁੱਲਾ ਹੀਰਾ ਲੱਭ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਤਰੀਐ ਕਹਉ ਪੁਕਾਰੀਆ ॥੮॥੧੨॥
gur sayvaa bha-ojal taree-ai kaha-o pukaaree-aa. ||8||12||
I proclaim that by following the teachings of the Guru, we cross over the dreadful worldly-ocean of vices. (8-1-12)
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਮੈਂ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਕੇ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆਂ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ

Raag Gauree, Fifth Guru:
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik-oNkaar satgur parsaad.
One eternal God. realized by the grace of the true Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਰਾਇਣ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗ ਰੰਗੋ ॥
naaraain har rang rango.
O’ my friend, imbue yourself with the love of God.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗ।
ਜਪਿ ਜਿਹਵਾ ਹਰਿ ਏਕ ਮੰਗੋ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jap jihvaa har ayk mango. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Meditate on the Name of God with loving devotion, and ask for Him alone.
ਆਪਣੀ ਜੀਭ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ, ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮੰਗ l
ਤਜਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨ ਭਜੋ ॥
taj ha-umai gur gi-aan bhajo.
Renouncing ego, lovingly remember God by following the Guru’s teachings.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ (ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਹਉਮੈ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ।
ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਧੁਰਿ ਕਰਮ ਲਿਖਿਓ ॥੧॥
mil sangat Dhur karam likhi-o. ||1||
Only those, who have pre-ordained destiny, join the Holy Congregation.
ਕੇਵਲ ਉਹੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਢਲੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਤਿਸੰਗਤ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਜੋ ਦੀਸੈ ਸੋ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਗਇਓ ॥
jo deesai so sang na ga-i-o.
Whatever worldly expanse is visible, does not accompany anyone after death,
ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਅੱਖੀਂ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਦਿੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਭੀ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ,
ਸਾਕਤੁ ਮੂੜੁ ਲਗੇ ਪਚਿ ਮੁਇਓ ॥੨॥
saakat moorh lagay pach mu-i-o. ||2||
but the foolish, faithless cynic attached to Maya, waste away his life.
ਪਰ ਮੂਰਖ ਮਾਇਆ-ਵੇੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਇਸ ਦਿੱਸਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ) ਲੱਗ ਕੇ ਖ਼ੁਆਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਸਹੇੜਦਾ ਹੈ
ਮੋਹਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਦਾ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਓ ॥
mohan naam sadaa rav rahi-o.
The Name of the Fascinating God is all-pervading forever,
ਮੋਹਨ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ, ਜੋ ਸਦਾ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਵਿਆਪ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ,
ਕੋਟਿ ਮਧੇ ਕਿਨੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਲਹਿਓ ॥੩॥
kot maDhay kinai gurmukh lahi-o. ||3||
but only a rare Guru’s follower, among the millions, have realized Him.
ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ l
ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤਨ ਕਰਿ ਨਮੋ ਨਮੋ ॥
har santan kar namo namo.
Always bow to the devotees of God with deep respect,
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹੁ,
ਨਉ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਅਤੁਲੁ ਸੁਖੋ ॥੪॥
na-o niDh paavahi atul sukho. ||4||
you will obtain infinite peace and God’s Name, which is like all the nine treasures of wealth.
ਤੂੰ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਏਂਗਾ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਨਾਮ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਏਗਾ ਜੋ, ਮਾਨੋ, ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਨੌ ਹੀ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਹੈ l
ਨੈਨ ਅਲੋਵਉ ਸਾਧ ਜਨੋ ॥
nain alova-o saaDh jano.
O’ saintly people , with your eyes behold the sight of God everywhere.
ਹੇ ਸਾਧ ਜਨੋ! (ਮੇਰੀ ਤਾਂ ਇਹੀ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ) ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ (ਜੋ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦੇ ਹਨ।)
ਹਿਰਦੈ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਨਾਮ ਨਿਧੋ ॥੫॥
hirdai gaavhu naam niDho. ||5||
and keep singing the praises of God which is the treasure of Naam.
ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਰਹੋ ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੈ l
ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਲੋਭੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਤਜੋ ॥
kaam kroDh lobh moh tajo.
Abandon from your mind lust, anger, greed and emotional attachment,
ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕਾਮ, ਕ੍ਰੋਧ, ਲੋਭ ਤੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੂਰ ਕਰੋ।
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੁਹੁ ਤੇ ਰਹਿਓ ॥੬॥
janam maran duhu tay rahi-o. ||6||
and thus escape the suffering from both, birth and death.
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜੰਮਣ ਤੇ ਮਰਣ ਦੁਹਾ ਤੇ ਖਲਾਸੀ ਪਾ ਜਾ।
ਦੂਖੁ ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ਘਰ ਤੇ ਮਿਟਿਓ ॥
dookh anDhayraa ghar tay miti-o.
Sorrow and darkness of ignorance departs from the heart,
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਦੁਖ ਤੇ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਗੁਰਿ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਓ ਦੀਪ ਬਲਿਓ ॥੭॥
gur gi-aan darirhaa-i-o deep bali-o. ||7||
in which the Guru implants spiritual wisdom and illuminates it with the light of divine knowledge. (7).
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਪੱਕੀ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ (ਆਤਮਕ ਸੂਝ ਦਾ) ਦੀਵਾ ਜਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ
ਜਿਨਿ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਸੋ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰਿਓ ॥
jin sayvi-aa so paar pari-o.
Whoever has remembered God with love and devotion, has crossed over the worldly ocean of vices.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ, ਉਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਗਿਆ।
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਗਤੁ ਤਰਿਓ ॥੮॥੧॥੧੩॥
jan naanak gurmukh jagat tari-o. ||8||1||13||
O’ Nanak, the Guru’s follower has crossed over the worldly ocean of vices. 8-1-13
ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਜਗਤ (ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ) ਤਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ l
ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਗਉੜੀ ॥
mehlaa 5 ga-orhee.
Raag Gauree, Fifth Guru:
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਕਰਤ ਭਰਮ ਗਏ ॥
har har gur gur karat bharam ga-ay.
By always remembering God and Guru, all my doubts have been dispelled,
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਿਆਂ, ਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਭਟਕਣਾਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ,
ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਸਭਿ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇਓ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
mayrai man sabh sukh paa-i-o. ||1|| rahaa-o.
and my mind has obtained all comforts and peace.
ਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਏ ਹਨ l
ਬਲਤੋ ਜਲਤੋ ਤਉਕਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਚੰਦਨੁ ਸੀਤਲਾਇਓ ॥੧॥
balto jalto ta-uki-aa gur chandan seetlaa-i-o. ||1||
My mind was burning in the fire of vices, the Guru’s word worked like the sandalwood paste and it became cool and calm.
ਮਨ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸੜ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ-ਚੰਦਨ ਘਸਾ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਤੇ ਛਿਣਕਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਮਨ ਠੰਢਾ-ਠਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ
ਅਗਿਆਨ ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ਮਿਟਿ ਗਇਆ ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਦੀਪਾਇਓ ॥੨॥
agi-aan anDhayraa mit ga-i-aa gur gi-aan deepaa-i-o. ||2||
When the Guru illuminated my mind with the divine knowledge, the darkness of ignorance was removed.
ਜਦੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਆ ਗਿਆਨ (ਮਨ ਵਿਚ) ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਹੋਇਆ ਤਾਂ (ਮਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਅਗਿਆਨ ਦਾ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ l
ਪਾਵਕੁ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਗਹਰੋ ਚਰਿ ਸੰਤਨ ਨਾਵ ਤਰਾਇਓ ॥੩॥
paavak saagar gahro char santan naav taraa-i-o. ||3||
And I swam across the deep and fiery world ocean of vices by following the Guru’s teachings.
ਇਹ ਡੂੰਘਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਪਸ਼ ਨਾਲ) ਅੱਗ (ਹੀ ਅੱਗ ਬਣਿਆ ਪਿਆ ਸੀ) ਮੈਂ ਸਾਧ-ਸੰਗਤਿ-ਬੇੜੀ ਵਿਚ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ
ਨਾ ਹਮ ਕਰਮ ਨ ਧਰਮ ਸੁਚ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਗਹਿ ਭੁਜਾ ਆਪਾਇਓ ॥੪॥
naa ham karam na Dharam such parabh geh bhujaa aapaa-i-o. ||4||
I did not have the merits of any good deeds, rituals, or purification of mind, even then by His grace God made me His own.
ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਸ ਨਾਹ ਕੋਈ ਕਰਮ ਨਾਹ ਧਰਮ ਨਾਹ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰਤਾ ਸੀ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਬਾਂਹ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ l
ਭਉ ਖੰਡਨੁ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨੋ ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਇਓ ॥੫॥
bha-o khandan dukh bhanjno bhagat vachhal har naa-i-o. ||5||
O’ my friends, the Name of God, the lover of His devotees, is the destroyer of fear and dispeller of all miseries. (5)
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!)ਭਗਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਉਹ ਨਾਮ ਜੋ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਿਸਮ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਤੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਹੈ lv
ਅਨਾਥਹ ਨਾਥ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਦੀਨ ਸੰਮ੍ਰਿਥ ਸੰਤ ਓਟਾਇਓ ॥੬॥
anaathah naath kirpaal deen sammrith sant otaa-i-o. ||6||
O’ the support of the support-less, beneficent to the meek, and the all-powerful, and refuge of the saints. (6)
ਹੇ ਅਨਾਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਥ! ਦੀਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ! ਹੇ ਸਭ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਹਾਰੇ!
ਨਿਰਗੁਨੀਆਰੇ ਕੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਦੇਹੁ ਦਰਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇਓ ॥੭॥
nirgunee-aaray kee bayntee dayh daras har raa-i-o. ||7||
O’ Almighty God, this is the humble request of a person with no virtues. Please bless me with Your vision.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ! ਮੇਰੀ ਗੁਣ-ਹੀਨ ਦੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਸੁਣ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਦੇਹ l
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਨਿ ਤੁਹਾਰੀ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਆਇਓ ॥੮॥੨॥੧੪॥
naanak saran tuhaaree thaakur sayvak du-aarai aa-i-o. ||8||2||14||
O’ Master, Your humble devotee Nanak has come to Your refuge. (8-2-14)
