ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਹਾਰਿਓ ਅਨਿਕ ਬਹੁ ਭਾਤੀ ਛੋਡਹਿ ਕਤਹੂੰ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
kar kar haari-o anik baho bhaatee chhodeh katahooN naahee.
O’ God, I have grown weary, trying different ways to get rid of my vices but these evils do not loosen their grip on me.
(ਹੇ ਪਿਤਾ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਕਈ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਤਨ ਕਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਥੱਕ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ, ਇਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਭੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ।
ਏਕ ਬਾਤ ਸੁਨਿ ਤਾਕੀ ਓਟਾ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਟਿ ਜਾਹੀ ॥੨॥
ayk baat sun taakee otaa saaDhsang mit jaahee. ||2||
I have heard that these vices can be rooted out by being in the Company of saints and I have sought their refuge.||2||
ਇਕ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਕਿ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਿਹਾਂ ਇਹ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਸੰਤ ਮਿਲੇ ਮੋਹਿ ਤਿਨ ਤੇ ਧੀਰਜੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
kar kirpaa sant milay mohi tin tay Dheeraj paa-i-aa.
In their mercy, the saints met me and they blessed me with solace.
(ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ) ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੌਸਲਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਸੰਤੀ ਮੰਤੁ ਦੀਓ ਮੋਹਿ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਕਮਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
santee mant dee-o mohi nirbha-o gur kaa sabad kamaa-i-aa. ||3||
The saint-Guru gave me the mantra that makes one fearless from these vices and I have made meditation on Naam a part of my life. ||3||
ਸੰਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਂ ਬਿਖਾਦੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਡਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿਚ ਧਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਜੀਤਿ ਲਏ ਓਇ ਮਹਾ ਬਿਖਾਦੀ ਸਹਜ ਸੁਹੇਲੀ ਬਾਣੀ ॥
jeet la-ay o-ay mahaa bikhaadee sahj suhaylee banee.
I have now conquered those terrible evil-doers through the peace giving teachings of the Guru.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਤੇ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਪੰਜੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਝਗੜਾਲੂ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਏ ਹਨ।
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਨਿ ਭਇਆ ਪਰਗਾਸਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਪਦੁ ਨਿਰਬਾਣੀ ॥੪॥੪॥੧੨੫॥
kaho naanak man bha-i-aa pargaasaa paa-i-aa pad nirbaanee. ||4||4||125||
Nanak says, “My mind has been illuminated with divine wisdom and I have attained the exalted state where no evil desire can afflict me.” ||4||4||125||
ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਚਾਨਣ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਦਰਜਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਵਾਸ਼ਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੋਹ ਸਕਦੀ ॥੪॥੪॥੧੨੫॥

Raag Gauree, Fifth Guru:
ਓਹੁ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਰਾਇਆ ॥
oh abhinaasee raa-i-aa.
O’ God, You are the eternal sovereign King.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਇਕ ਉਹ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੈਂ ਜੋ ਕਦੇ ਨਾਸ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ।
ਨਿਰਭਉ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੁਮਾਰੈ ਬਸਤੇ ਇਹੁ ਡਰਨੁ ਕਹਾ ਤੇ ਆਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
nirbha-o sang tumaarai bastay ih daran kahaa tay aa-i-aa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Those who always meditate on You, become fearless and are not afraid of anything. ||1||pause||
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਜੀਵ ਤੇਰੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਨਿਡਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਤੋਂ ਭੀ ਕੋਈ ਡਰ-ਖ਼ੌਫ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਏਕ ਮਹਲਿ ਤੂੰ ਹੋਹਿ ਅਫਾਰੋ ਏਕ ਮਹਲਿ ਨਿਮਾਨੋ ॥
ayk mahal tooN hohi afaaro ayk mahal nimaano.
In some, You manifest with arrogance and in others, You are oppressed.
ਇਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੈਂ ਤੇ ਇਕ ਹੋਰ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਤੂੰ ਮਾਣ-ਰਹਿਤ ਹੈਂ।
ਏਕ ਮਹਲਿ ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਆਪੇ ਏਕ ਮਹਲਿ ਗਰੀਬਾਨੋ ॥੧॥
ayk mahal tooN aapay aapay ayk mahal gareebaano. ||1||
In one person, You are all powerful and in another, You are miserable. ||1||
ਇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਇਖ਼ਤਿਆਰ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ ਤੇ ਇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਤੂੰ ਗ਼ਰੀਬ ਕੰਗਾਲ ਹੈਂ ॥੧॥
ਏਕ ਮਹਲਿ ਤੂੰ ਪੰਡਿਤੁ ਬਕਤਾ ਏਕ ਮਹਲਿ ਖਲੁ ਹੋਤਾ ॥
ayk mahal tooN pandit baktaa ayk mahal khal hotaa.
O’ God, in one person You are like a learned preacher but in another one, You act like a fool.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਇਕ (ਮਨੁੱਖਾ) ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਤੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਬੋਲ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਵਿਦਵਾਨ ਹੈਂ ਤੇ ਇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਤੂੰ ਮੂਰਖ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈਂ।
ਏਕ ਮਹਲਿ ਤੂੰ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਗ੍ਰਾਹਜੁ ਏਕ ਮਹਲਿ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਲੇਤਾ ॥੨॥
ayk mahal tooN sabh kichh garaahaj ayk mahal kachhoo na laytaa. ||2||
In one person, You amass everything and in another, You accept nothing. ||2||
ਇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇ ਇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਤੂੰ (ਵਿਰਕਤ ਬਣ ਕੋਈ ਚੀਜ਼ ਭੀ ਅੰਗੀਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ॥੨॥
ਕਾਠ ਕੀ ਪੁਤਰੀ ਕਹਾ ਕਰੈ ਬਪੁਰੀ ਖਿਲਾਵਨਹਾਰੋ ਜਾਨੈ ॥
kaath kee putree kahaa karai bapuree khilaavanhaaro jaanai.
What can the poor wooden puppet do? The Master Puppeteer knows it all.
ਇਹ ਜੀਵ ਵਿਚਾਰਾ ਕਾਠ ਦੀ ਪੁਤਲੀ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਖਿਡਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਨਚਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਜੈਸਾ ਭੇਖੁ ਕਰਾਵੈ ਬਾਜੀਗਰੁ ਓਹੁ ਤੈਸੋ ਹੀ ਸਾਜੁ ਆਨੈ ॥੩॥
jaisaa bhaykh karaavai baajeegar oh taiso hee saaj aanai. ||3||
Whatever role the Master assigns it, the puppet plays accordingly. ||3||
(ਬਾਜੀ ਖਿਡਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਬਾਜੀਗਰ ਜਿਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਸਾਂਗ ਰਚਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਜੀਵ ਉਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਸਾਂਗ ਰਚਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਅਨਿਕ ਕੋਠਰੀ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਭਾਤਿ ਕਰੀਆ ਆਪਿ ਹੋਆ ਰਖਵਾਰਾ ॥
anik kothree bahut bhaat karee-aa aap ho-aa rakhvaaraa.
God has fashioned countless different species of creatures and He Himself is their protector.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਨੇਕ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਰੀਰ- ਕੋਠੜੀਆਂ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਦਾ ਰਾਖਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਜੈਸੇ ਮਹਲਿ ਰਾਖੈ ਤੈਸੈ ਰਹਨਾ ਕਿਆ ਇਹੁ ਕਰੈ ਬਿਚਾਰਾ ॥੪॥
jaisay mahal raakhai taisai rahnaa ki-aa ih karai bichaaraa. ||4||
The soul has to dwell whatever kind of body God places it in; on its own what can this poor soul do? ||4||
ਇਹ ਵਿਚਾਰਾ ਜੀਵ (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ) ਕੁਝ ਭੀ ਕਰਨ ਜੋਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਜਿਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥
ਜਿਨਿ ਕਿਛੁ ਕੀਆ ਸੋਈ ਜਾਨੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਬਿਧਿ ਸਾਜੀ ॥
jin kichh kee-aa so-ee jaanai jin ih sabh biDh saajee.
The One who has created this universe, knows the secret of its working.
ਜਿਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਜਗਤ ਰਚਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਖੇਡ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੈ, ਓਹੀ (ਇਸ ਦੇ ਭੇਦ ਨੂੰ) ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਅਪਰੰਪਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕਾਜੀ ॥੫॥੫॥੧੨੬॥
kaho naanak aprampar su-aamee keemat apunay kaajee. ||5||5||126||
Nanak says, the infinite God alone knows the worth of His doings. ||5||5||126||
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਬੇਅੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਾਰੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਦਰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੫॥੫॥੧੨੬॥

ਛੋਡਿ ਛੋਡਿ ਰੇ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਕੇ ਰਸੂਆ ॥
chhod chhod ray bikhi-aa kay rasoo-aa.
Give up the pleasures of Maya.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਚਸਕੇ ਛੱਡ ਦੇ ।
ਉਰਝਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਰੇ ਬਾਵਰ ਗਾਵਰ ਜਿਉ ਕਿਰਖੈ ਹਰਿਆਇਓ ਪਸੂਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
urajh rahi-o ray baavar gaavar ji-o kirkhai hari-aa-i-o pasoo-aa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
O’ foolish and crazy person you are entangled in these pleasures like an animal engrossed in the green pasture. |1||pause||
ਹੇ ਮੂਰਖ ਤੇ ਝੱਲੇ ਬੰਦੇ! ! ਤੂੰ (ਇਹਨਾਂ ਚਸਕਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਇਉਂ) ਮਸਤ ਪਿਆ ਹੈਂ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਪਸ਼ੂ ਹਰੇ ਖੇਤ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ (ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਜੋ ਜਾਨਹਿ ਤੂੰ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕਾਜੈ ਸੋ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਚਾਲੈ ਤੇਰੈ ਤਸੂਆ ॥
jo jaaneh tooN apunay kaajai so sang na chaalai tayrai tasoo-aa.
O’ human being, what you think is going to benefit you after death, not even a part thereof is going to accompany you.
(ਹੇ ਕਮਲੇ!) ਜਿਸ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਉਹ ਰਤਾ ਭਰ ਭੀ (ਅੰਤ ਵੇਲੇ) ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੀ।
ਨਾਗੋ ਆਇਓ ਨਾਗ ਸਿਧਾਸੀ ਫੇਰਿ ਫਿਰਿਓ ਅਰੁ ਕਾਲਿ ਗਰਸੂਆ ॥੧॥
naago aa-i-o naag siDhaasee fayr firi-o ar kaal garsoo-aa. ||1||
You came with nothing and you shall depart with nothing; you are spiritually dead and are wandering in the cycles of birth and death. ||1||
ਤੂੰ (ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਨੰਗਾ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ (ਇਥੋਂ) ਨੰਗਾ ਹੀ ਚਲਾ ਜਾਏਂਗਾ। ਤੂੰ (ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹੀ ਜੂਨਾਂ ਦੇ) ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚ ਫਿਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਨੇ ਗ੍ਰਸਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਪੇਖਿ ਪੇਖਿ ਰੇ ਕਸੁੰਭ ਕੀ ਲੀਲਾ ਰਾਚਿ ਮਾਚਿ ਤਿਨਹੂੰ ਲਉ ਹਸੂਆ ॥
paykh paykh ray kasumbh kee leelaa raach maach tinhooN la-o hasoo-aa.
You are engrossed in the pleasures of the world which are of transitory nature like a safflower.
ਇਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਖੇਡ ਕਸੁੰਭੇ ਦੀ ਖੇਡ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ ਤੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਛੀਜਤ ਡੋਰਿ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਅਰੁ ਰੈਨੀ ਜੀਅ ਕੋ ਕਾਜੁ ਨ ਕੀਨੋ ਕਛੂਆ ॥੨॥
chheejat dor dinas ar rainee jee-a ko kaaj na keeno kachhoo-aa. ||2||
With each passing day, the span of remaining life is shortening and You haven’t done a thing of real value for your soul. ||2||
ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਦੀ ਡੋਰੀ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ॥੨॥
ਕਰਤ ਕਰਤ ਇਵ ਹੀ ਬਿਰਧਾਨੋ ਹਾਰਿਓ ਉਕਤੇ ਤਨੁ ਖੀਨਸੂਆ ॥
karat karat iv hee birDhaano haari-o uktay tan kheensoo-aa.
Performing your worldly deeds, you have grown old; your voice is failing you and your body has become weak.
(ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਧੰਧੇ) ਕਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਇਉਂ ਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਬੁੱਢਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇਰੀ ਬੋਲ-ਬਾਣੀ ਹਾਰ ਹੁੱਟ ਗਈ ਹੈ , ਤੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਲਿੱਸਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਉ ਮੋਹਿਓ ਉਨਿ ਮੋਹਨੀ ਬਾਲਾ ਉਸ ਤੇ ਘਟੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਰੁਚ ਚਸੂਆ ॥੩॥
ji-o mohi-o un mohnee baalaa us tay ghatai naahee ruch chasoo-aa. ||3||
Just as you were lured by Maya in your youth, your involvement in it has not lessened one little bit in the old age. ||3||
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਜਵਾਨੀ ਵੇਲੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਾਇਆ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਲੋਭ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੁਣ ਤਾਂਈ ਇਕ ਭੋਰਾ ਭਰ ਭੀ ਕਮੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਈ। ੩॥
ਜਗੁ ਐਸਾ ਮੋਹਿ ਗੁਰਹਿ ਦਿਖਾਇਓ ਤਉ ਸਰਣਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਤਜਿ ਗਰਬਸੂਆ ॥
jag aisaa mohi gureh dikhaa-i-o ta-o saran pari-o taj garabsu-aa.
The Guru showed me that such is the way of the world; since then abandoning the egotistical pride, I have entered the Guru’s refuge.
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਵਿਖਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਗਤ (ਦਾ ਮੋਹ) ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਤਦ ਮੈਂ (ਜਗਤ ਦਾ) ਮਾਣ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ) ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆ ਹਾਂ।
ਮਾਰਗੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੋ ਸੰਤਿ ਬਤਾਇਓ ਦ੍ਰਿੜੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਭਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੂਆ ॥੪॥੬॥੧੨੭॥
maarag parabh ko sant bataa-i-o darirhee naanak daas bhagat har jasoo-aa. ||4||6||127||
O’ Nanak, the Guru has shown me the way to unite with God and I am resolutely engaged in the devotional worship by singing His praises. ||4||6||127||
ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰੂ-ਸੰਤ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਣ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਦੱਸ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪੱਕੀ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੬॥੧੨੭॥

ਤੁਝ ਬਿਨੁ ਕਵਨੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਅਧਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
tujh bin kavan hamara. mayray preetam paraan aDhaaraa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
O’ my beloved God, the support of my life! who else is my support beside You? ||1||pause||
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੇ ਬਾਝੋਂ ਹੋਰ ਕੌਣ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੈ? ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਅੰਤਰ ਕੀ ਬਿਧਿ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਜਾਨੀ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਸਜਨ ਸੁਹੇਲੇ ॥
antar kee biDh tum hee jaanee tum hee sajan suhaylay.
You alone know the inner state of my mind. You alone are my real friend and bestower of peace.
ਮੇਰੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੱਜਣ ਹੈਂ; ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖਾ ਮੈ ਤੁਝ ਤੇ ਪਾਏ ਮੇਰੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਅਗਹ ਅਤੋਲੇ ॥੧॥
sarab sukhaa mai tujh tay paa-ay mayray thaakur agah atolay. ||1||
O’ my unfathomable and infinite God, I have received every comfort and peace from You. ||1||
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅਥਾਹ ਤੇ ਅਡੋਲ ਠਾਕੁਰ! ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਹੀ ਲੱਭੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
