ਕਲਿ ਕਲੇਸ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ॥
kal kalays gur sabad nivaaray.
The Guru’s word has eliminates all my strife and sorrow.
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਾਨਸਕ ਝਗੜੇ ਤੇ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ
ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣ ਰਹੇ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
aavan jaan rahay sukh saaray. ||1||
My comings and goings (in and out of this world) have ended and I have obtained all kinds of comforts.
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਮੁੱਕ ਗਏ ਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਗਏ l
ਭੈ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
bhai binsay nirbha-o har Dhi-aa-i-aa.saaDhsang har kay gun gaa-i-aa.
In the company of saints, I sang praises of God, and when I meditated on the fearless God, all my fears vanished away.
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਏ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਧਰਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਡਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ l
ਚਰਨ ਕਵਲ ਰਿਦ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਧਾਰੇ ॥
charan kaval rid antar Dhaaray.
They who enshrined the immaculate Name of God in their hearts,
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾ ਲਏ,
ਅਗਨਿ ਸਾਗਰ ਗੁਰਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਉਤਾਰੇ ॥੨॥
agan saagar gur paar utaaray. ||2||
were ferried by the Guru across the fiery ocean of worldly desires.
ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ-ਅੱਗ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ
ਬੂਡਤ ਜਾਤ ਪੂਰੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਕਾਢੇ ॥
boodat jaat poorai gur kaadhay.
They, who were drowning in the worldly ocean of vices, the Guru pulled them out,
(ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ) ਡੁੱਬ ਰਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ (ਬਾਹੋਂ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਬਾਹਰ) ਕੱਢ ਲਿਆ
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਟੂਟੇ ਗਾਢੇ ॥੩॥
janam janam kay tootay gaadhay. ||3||
-and reunited them with God from whom they were separated for many births.
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਟੁੱਟਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਮੁੜ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ)ਮਿਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥
kaho naanak tis gur balihaaree.
Nanak say, I dedicate my life to the Guru,
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ,
ਜਿਸੁ ਭੇਟਤ ਗਤਿ ਭਈ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥੪॥੫੬॥੧੨੫॥
jis bhaytat gat bha-ee hamaaree. ||4||56||125||
-meeting whom, I was liberated.
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੇਰੀ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ।

Raag Gauree, by the Fifth Guru:
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਸਰਨੀ ਪਰਹੁ ॥
saaDhsang taa kee sarnee parahu.
In the holy congregation, seek the refuge of God.
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈ।
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਆਗੈ ਧਰਹੁ ॥੧॥
man tan apnaa aagai Dharahu. ||1||
Surrender your body and mind before Him.
ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨ ਆਪਣਾ ਤਨ (ਭਾਵ, ਆਪਣਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰਾ) ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦੇਹ
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਪੀਵਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ॥
amrit naam peevhu mayray bhaa-ee.
O’ brother, relish the Ambrosial Nectar of God’s name.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੀਰ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ ਪੀ
ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਭ ਤਪਤਿ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
simar simar sabh tapat bujhaa-ee. ||1|| rahaa-o.
One who has meditated on God’s Name with love and devotion, he has calmed the fire of vices.
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਿਮਰ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੜਨ ਬੁਝਾ ਲਈ ਹੈ
ਤਜਿ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣੁ ਨਿਵਾਰਹੁ ॥
taj abhimaan janam maran nivaarahu.
Renounce your ego, and liberate yourself from the cycles of birth and death.
ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਗੇੜ ਮੁਕਾ ਲੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਦਾਸ ਕੇ ਚਰਣ ਨਮਸਕਾਰਹੁ ॥੨॥
har kay daas kay charan namaskaarahu. ||2||
Bow in humility to the feet of God’s servants .
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਿਰ ਰੱਖ ਦੇ
ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਨਹਿ ਸਮਾਲੇ ॥
saas saas parabh maneh samaalay.
Remember God in your mind, with each and every breath.
ਹਰੇਕ ਸਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਂਭ ਰੱਖ।
ਸੋ ਧਨੁ ਸੰਚਹੁ ਜੋ ਚਾਲੈ ਨਾਲੇ ॥੩॥
so Dhan sanchahu jo chaalai naalay. ||3||
Gather only the wealth of God’s Name which shall go with you.
ਉਹ ਨਾਮ- ਧਨ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰ ਜੇਹੜਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਥ ਕਰੇ ॥
ਤਿਸਹਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਭਾਗੁ ॥
tiseh paraapat jis mastak bhaag.
He alone obtains this wealth, in whose destiny it is so written.
ਇਹ ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ ਭਾਗ ਜਾਗੇ।
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਚਰਣੀ ਲਾਗੁ ॥੪॥੫੭॥੧੨੬॥
kaho naanak taa kee charnee laag. ||4||57||126||
Nanak says, O mortal serve with humility that devotee who has obtained this wealth of God’s Name.
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- (ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਚਰਨੀਂ ਲੱਗ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ l

Raag Gauree, by the Fifth Guru:
ਸੂਕੇ ਹਰੇ ਕੀਏ ਖਿਨ ਮਾਹੇ ॥
sookay haray kee-ay khin maahay.
In an instant the Guru has revived the spiritually dead people.
ਗੁਰੂ ਇਕ ਖਿਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਰਸ ਤੋਂ ਸੁੰਞੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਸੰਚਿ ਜੀਵਾਏ ॥੧॥
amrit darisat sanch jeevaa-ay. ||1||
His Ambrosial Glance irrigates and revives their souls.
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਰੂਪੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੰਚ ਕੇ ਸੁਰਜੀਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਕਾਟੇ ਕਸਟ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥
kaatay kasat pooray gurdayv.
The Perfect Guru has removed all the difficulties of His servant,
ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਕੱਟ ਦਿੱਤੇ,
ਸੇਵਕ ਕਉ ਦੀਨੀ ਅਪੁਨੀ ਸੇਵ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sayvak ka-o deenee apunee sayv. ||1|| rahaa-o.
by blessing him with his service.
ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ) ਆਪਣੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ (ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ) ਦਿੱਤੀ
ਮਿਟਿ ਗਈ ਚਿੰਤ ਪੁਨੀ ਮਨ ਆਸਾ ॥
mit ga-ee chint punee man aasaa.
All his worries have been removed, and the desires of mind have been fulfilled.
ਉਸ ਦੀ (ਹਰੇਕ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ) ਚਿੰਤਾ ਮਿਟ ਗਈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ (ਹਰੇਕ) ਆਸ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ,
ਕਰੀ ਦਇਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਗੁਣਤਾਸਾ ॥੨॥
karee da-i-aa satgur guntaasaa. ||2||
when the True Guru, the Treasure of virtues, has shown His Kindness.
ਜਦ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਕੀਤੀ l
ਦੁਖ ਨਾਠੇ ਸੁਖ ਆਇ ਸਮਾਏ ॥
dukh naathay sukh aa-ay samaa-ay.
The sorrows have departed and peace has come in his life,
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ (ਸਾਰੇ) ਸੁਖ ਆ ਕੇ ਟਿਕ ਗਏ।
ਢੀਲ ਨ ਪਰੀ ਜਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਫੁਰਮਾਏ ॥੩॥
dheel na paree jaa gur furmaa-ay. ||3||
no delay occurs when the Guru so commands.
ਜਦੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਕੀਤਾ, ਰਤਾ ਭੀ ਢਿੱਲ ਨਾਹ ਹੋਈ l
ਇਛ ਪੁਨੀ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲੇ ॥
ichh punee pooray gur milay.
They who have met the perfect Guru, their desire has been fulfilled.
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ (ਹਰੇਕ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ) ਇੱਛਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ,
ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇ ਜਨ ਸੁਫਲ ਫਲੇ ॥੪॥੫੮॥੧੨੭॥
naanak tay jan sufal falay. ||4||58||127||
O’ Nanak, the life of those devotees has become most successful and fruitful.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਫਲ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ l

Raag Gauree, by Fifth the Guru:
ਤਾਪ ਗਏ ਪਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਸਾਂਤਿ ॥
taap ga-ay paa-ee parabh saaNt.
All our maladies have departed; God has showered us with peace and tranquility.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਐਸੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਠੰਢ ਵਰਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਤਾਪ-ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ
ਸੀਤਲ ਭਏ ਕੀਨੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਾਤਿ ॥੧॥
seetal bha-ay keenee parabh daat. ||1||
They, whom God grants the gift of His Name, become very peaceful.
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਠੰਡੇ ਜਿਗਰੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਭਏ ਸੁਹੇਲੇ ॥
parabh kirpaa tay bha-ay suhaylay.
By God’s Grace, they have become comfortable.
ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਸੌਖੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਬਿਛੁਰੇ ਮੇਲੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
janam janam kay bichhuray maylay. ||1|| rahaa-o.
They who were separated from Him for many births, God has re-united them with Him
ਉਹਨਾਂ, ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਛੁੜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ
ਸਿਮਰਤ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਨਾਉ ॥
simrat simrat parabh kaa naa-o.
By remembering God with love and devotion,
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ),
ਸਗਲ ਰੋਗ ਕਾ ਬਿਨਸਿਆ ਥਾਉ ॥੨॥
sagal rog kaa binsi-aa thaa-o. ||2||
The root cause of all the diseases is destroyed.
ਸਾਰੇ ਰੋਗਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੀ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ
ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ਬੋਲੈ ਹਰਿ ਬਾਣੀ ॥
sahj subhaa-ay bolai har banee.
In intuitive peace and poise, he keep chanting the Divine Words (Gurbani).
ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਿਮਰਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ॥੩॥
aath pahar parabh simrahu paraanee. ||3||
O mortals, you also always keep remembering God with love and devotion.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ! ਤੂੰ ਭੀ ਅੱਠੇ ਪਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹੁ
ਦੂਖੁ ਦਰਦੁ ਜਮੁ ਨੇੜਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥
dookh darad jam nayrh na aavai.
Pain, suffering and the fear of death do not even approach that one,
ਕੋਈ ਦੁੱਖ-ਦਰਦ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੋਂਹਦਾ
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵੈ ॥੪॥੫੯॥੧੨੮॥
kaho naanak jo har gun gaavai. ||4||59||128||
who sings the Glorious Praises of God, Says Nanak,
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ

ਭਲੇ ਦਿਨਸ ਭਲੇ ਸੰਜੋਗ ॥
bhalay dinas bhalay sanjog.
Auspicious are the days, and blessed are the moments of union,
ਉਹ ਦਿਨ ਸੁਹਾਵਣੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੇ ਅਵਸਰ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਜਿਤੁ ਭੇਟੇ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਨਿਰਜੋਗ ॥੧॥
jit bhaytay paarbarahm nirjog. ||1||
when I see the sight of Supreme God, who is detached from Maya.
ਜਦੋਂ (ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ) ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ
ਓਹ ਬੇਲਾ ਕਉ ਹਉ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਉ ॥
oh baylaa ka-o ha-o bal jaa-o.
I am a sacrifice to that time,
ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ
ਜਿਤੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਜਪੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jit mayraa man japai har naa-o. ||1|| rahaa-o.
when my mind remembers God with love and devotion.
ਜਿਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ
ਸਫਲ ਮੂਰਤੁ ਸਫਲ ਓਹ ਘਰੀ ॥
safal moorat safal oh gharee.
Blessed is that moment, and blessed is that time,
ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮੁਹੂਰਤ, ਅਤੇ ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਉਹ ਸਮਾਂ,
ਜਿਤੁ ਰਸਨਾ ਉਚਰੈ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੀ ॥੨॥
jit rasnaa uchrai har haree. ||2||

ਜਦੋਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਜੀਭ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਉਚਾਰਦੀ ਹੈ
ਸਫਲੁ ਓਹੁ ਮਾਥਾ ਸੰਤ ਨਮਸਕਾਰਸਿ ॥
safal oh maathaa sant namaskaaras.
Blessed is that forehead , which bows in humility to the Saints.
ਉਹ ਮੱਥਾ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਜੇਹੜਾ ਗੁਰੂ-ਸੰਤ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਨਿਊਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਚਰਣ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਚਲਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਮਾਰਗਿ ॥੩॥
charan puneet chaleh har maarag. ||3||
Sacred are those feet, who follow the pathholy congregation.
ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਪੈਰ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੇ ਟੁਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਲਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਕਰਮ ॥
kaho naanak bhalaa mayraa karam.
Nanak say, auspicious was that deed of mine
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਹੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਕਰਮ
ਜਿਤੁ ਭੇਟੇ ਸਾਧੂ ਕੇ ਚਰਨ ॥੪॥੬੦॥੧੨੯॥
jit bhaytay saaDhoo kay charan. ||4||60||129||

ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤ ਮੈਂ ਸੰਤਾਂ (ਗੁਰਾਂ) ਦੇ ਪੈਰੀ ਲੱਗਾ।
