ਹਰਿ ਹਮ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਮ ਬੋਲਹਿ ਅਉਰੁ ਦੁਤੀਆ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਹਮ ਤਿਆਗੀ ॥੧॥
har ham gaavahi har ham boleh a-or dutee-aa pareet ham ti-aagee. ||1||
I always sing God’s praises and chant His Name; I have forsaken the love and for anyone but God. ||1||
ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਮੈਂ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਮਨਮੋਹਨ ਮੋਰੋ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਰਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦੁ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ॥
manmohan moro pareetam raam har parmaanand bairaagee.
My captivating beloved God is above the influence of worldly attachments, and is the master of supreme bliss.
ਸਭ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਹ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਦੇਖੇ ਜੀਵਤ ਹੈ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਇਕ ਨਿਮਖ ਪਲੋ ਮੁਖਿ ਲਾਗੀ ॥੨॥੨॥੯॥੯॥੧੩॥੯॥੩੧॥
har daykhay jeevat hai naanak ik nimakh palo mukh laagee. ||2||2||9||9||13||9||31||

ਜੇ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਅੱਖ ਝਮਕਣ ਜਿਤਨੇ ਸਮੇ ਲਈ ਹੋ ਜਾਏ, ਇਕ ਪਲ ਭਰ ਲਈ ਹੋ ਜਾਏ, ਤਾਂ ਨਾਨਕ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੨॥੯॥੯॥੧੩॥੯॥੩੧॥

One eternal God, realized by the grace of the True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਿਆ ਤੂ ਸੋਚਹਿ ਕਿਆ ਤੂ ਚਿਤਵਹਿ ਕਿਆ ਤੂੰ ਕਰਹਿ ਉਪਾਏ ॥
ki-aa too socheh ki-aa too chitvahi ki-aa tooN karahi upaa-ay.
O’ brother, (leaving God’s refuge) what else do you think? What are you trying to suggest and what other efforts are you making?
(ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ) ਤੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਕੀਹ ਸੋਚਾਂ ਸੋਚਦਾਂ ਹੈਂ? ਤੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਕੀਹ ਉਪਾਵ ਚਿਤਵਦਾ ਹੈਂ? ਤੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਹੀਲੇ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ?
ਤਾ ਕਉ ਕਹਹੁ ਪਰਵਾਹ ਕਾਹੂ ਕੀ ਜਿਹ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਸਹਾਏ ॥੧॥
taa ka-o kahhu parvaah kaahoo kee jih gopaal sahaa-ay. ||1||
When God, the master of the universe, is your support; tell me, why should he care for anyone else? ||1||
ਜਿਸ (ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਦਾ ਸਹਾਈ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ, ਦੱਸ, ਕਿਸ ਦੀ ਪਰਵਾਹ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ? ॥੧॥
ਬਰਸੈ ਮੇਘੁ ਸਖੀ ਘਰਿ ਪਾਹੁਨ ਆਏ ॥
barsai maygh sakhee ghar paahun aa-ay.
O’ my friend, my master-God abides in my heart and I feel delighted because it appears as if the cloud of His grace is bringing rain showers of bliss in my heart.
ਹੇ ਸਹੇਲੀ! (ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-) ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਜੀ ਟਿਕੇ ਹਨ (ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਤਪਸ਼ ਮਿੱਟ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਇਉਂ ਜਾਪਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਦਾ) ਬੱਦਲ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਮੋਹਿ ਦੀਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧਿ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਨਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
mohi deen kirpaa niDh thaakur nav niDh naam samaa-ay. ||1|| rahaa-o.
O’ God, the treasure of grace, please keep me, Your humble devotee, attuned to Your Name which for me is like the nine treasures of wealth.||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੰਗਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਕਰੀ ਰੱਖ (ਇਹ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਨੌ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਅਨਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਭੋਜਨ ਬਹੁ ਕੀਏ ਬਹੁ ਬਿੰਜਨ ਮਿਸਟਾਏ ॥
anik parkaar bhojan baho kee-ay baho binjan mistaa-ay.
Just as woman prepares numerous kinds of sweet and spicy dishes,
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਿੱਠੇ ਸੁਆਦਲੇ ਖਾਣੇ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ,
ਕਰੀ ਪਾਕਸਾਲ ਸੋਚ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰਾ ਹੁਣਿ ਲਾਵਹੁ ਭੋਗੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਏ ॥੨॥
karee paaksaal soch pavitaraa hun laavhu bhog har raa-ay. ||2||
similarly I have prepared my mind with loving and immaculate thoughts; now O’ my sovereign God come and accept these thoughts and prayers. ||2||
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ! (ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਦੀ ਰਸੋਈ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ, ਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ) ਹੁਣ ਪਰਵਾਨ ਕਰ ॥੨॥
ਦੁਸਟ ਬਿਦਾਰੇ ਸਾਜਨ ਰਹਸੇ ਇਹਿ ਮੰਦਿਰ ਘਰ ਅਪਨਾਏ ॥
dusat bidaaray saajan rahsay ihi mandir ghar apnaa-ay.
When God’s Name resides in the temple (heart) of a human being, all his evil impulses perish and all his virtues flourish.
ਹੇ ਸਖੀ! ਇਹਨਾਂ (ਸਰੀਰ) ਘਰਾਂ-ਮੰਦਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਜਦੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ) ਅਪਣਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਰਕਾਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ) ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ (ਅਤੇ ਦੈਵੀ ਗੁਣ) ਸੱਜਣ ਪ੍ਰਫੁਲਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਜਉ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਲਾਲੁ ਰੰਗੀਓ ਆਇਆ ਤਉ ਮੈ ਸਭਿ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਏ ॥੩॥
ja-o garihi laal rangee-o aa-i-aa ta-o mai sabh sukh paa-ay. ||3||
Ever since, God has manifested in my heart, I have attained all happiness and peace. ||3||
ਹੇ ਸਖੀ! ਜਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਲਾਲ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਆ ਵੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਏ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
ਸੰਤ ਸਭਾ ਓਟ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਧੁਰਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਲੇਖੁ ਲਿਖਾਏ ॥
sant sabhaa ot gur pooray Dhur mastak laykh likhaa-ay.
As per the preordained destiny, one who has the support of the perfect Guru in the company of saintly people,
ਧੁਰ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਓਟ ਦਾ ਲੇਖ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੰਤੁ ਰੰਗੀਲਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਫਿਰਿ ਦੂਖੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਆਏ ॥੪॥੧॥
jan naanak kant rangeelaa paa-i-aa fir dookh na laagai aa-ay. ||4||1||
O’ devotee Nanak, he realizes the beautiful master-God, and no sorrow afflicts that person again. ||4||1||
ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਰ ਕੋਈ ਦੁੱਖ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੪॥੧॥

Raag Malaar, Fifth Guru:
ਖੀਰ ਅਧਾਰਿ ਬਾਰਿਕੁ ਜਬ ਹੋਤਾ ਬਿਨੁ ਖੀਰੈ ਰਹਨੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
heer aDhaar baarik jab hotaa bin kheerai rahan na jaa-ee.
When a child is totally dependent on milk, then it cannot live without the milk.
ਜਦੋਂ (ਕੋਈ) ਬੱਚਾ ਦੁੱਧ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤਦੋਂ ਉਹ) ਦੁੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਸਾਰਿ ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਲਿ ਮਾਤਾ ਮੁਖਿ ਨੀਰੈ ਤਬ ਓਹੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਘਾਈ ॥੧॥
saar samHaal maataa mukh neerai tab oh taripat aghaa-ee. ||1||
The child feels completely satiated only when the mother carefully pours milk in his mouth. ||1||
(ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ) ਮਾਂ (ਉਸ ਦੀ) ਸਾਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਦੀ) ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਥਣ ਪਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ ਉਹ (ਦੁੱਧ ਨਾਲ) ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰੱਜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਹਮ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਪਿਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਦਾਤਾ ॥
ham baarik pitaa parabh daataa.
God is our Father and benefactor, and we, the creatures, are His children.
ਦਾਤਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਸਾਡਾ) ਪਿਤਾ ਹੈ, ਅਸੀਂ (ਜੀਵ ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਬੱਚੇ ਹਾਂ।
ਭੂਲਹਿ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਅਨਿਕ ਲਖ ਬਰੀਆ ਅਨ ਠਉਰ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਹ ਜਾਤਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
bhooleh baarik anik lakh baree-aa an tha-ur naahee jah jaataa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Children often make mistakes a million times, they have no other place, except their father, where they can go. ||1||Pause||
ਬੱਚੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਵਾਰੀ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਵਾਰੀ ਭੁੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ (ਪਿਤਾ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ) ਹੋਰ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ, ਜਿਥੇ ਉਹ ਜਾ ਸਕਣ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਚੰਚਲ ਮਤਿ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਬਪੁਰੇ ਕੀ ਸਰਪ ਅਗਨਿ ਕਰ ਮੇਲੈ ॥
chanchal mat baarik bapuray kee sarap agan kar maylai.
The intellect of a child is fickle; when left to himself, the helpless ignorant child touches dangerous things like snakes, fire, and becomes miserable.
ਵਿਚਾਰੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਦੀ ਅਕਲ ਹੋਛੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ (ਜਦੋਂ ਮਾਂ ਪਿਉ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਦੋਂ) ਸੱਪ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਥ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅੱਗ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਥ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤੇ, ਦੁਖੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ)।
ਮਾਤਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਕੰਠਿ ਲਾਇ ਰਾਖੈ ਅਨਦ ਸਹਜਿ ਤਬ ਖੇਲੈ ॥੨॥
maataa pitaa kanth laa-ay raakhai anad sahj tab khaylai. ||2||
But when his mother and father hug him close in their embrace, and take care of him, then the child plays with joy and carefree. ||2||
(ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਮਾਂ ਗਲ ਨਾਲ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ ਪਿਉ ਗਲ ਨਾਲ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਾਪੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ) ਤਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਅਨੰਦ ਨਾਲ ਬੇ-ਫ਼ਿਕਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਖੇਡਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਤੂ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਭੂਖ ਕੈਸੀ ॥
jis kaa pitaa too hai mayray su-aamee tis baarik bhookh kaisee.
O’ my God, when You are the father (guardian) of a person, then what kind of yearning can he have?
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਿਸ (ਬੱਚੇ) ਦਾ ਤੂੰ ਪਿਤਾ (ਵਾਂਗ ਰਾਖਾ) ਹੈਂ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਭੁੱਖ ਲਗ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ?
ਨਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਤੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਬਾਂਛੈ ਸੋ ਲੈਸੀ ॥੩॥
nav niDh naam niDhaan garihi tayrai man baaNchhai so laisee. ||3||
You have all the nine treasures of the wealth of Naam, whatever one desires (from You) in his mind, he receives that. ||3||
ਤੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ-ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੈ ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਨੌ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ। ਉਹ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਕੁਝ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਪਿਤਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲਿ ਆਗਿਆ ਇਹ ਦੀਨੀ ਬਾਰਿਕੁ ਮੁਖਿ ਮਾਂਗੈ ਸੋ ਦੇਨਾ ॥
pitaa kirpaal aagi-aa ih deenee baarik mukh maaNgai so daynaa.
God, the merciful Father, has commanded that whatever the child asks for, must be provided to him.
ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ਪਿਤਾ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਹੁਕਮ ਦੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਕਿ ਬਾਲਕ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦੇਣਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਬਾਰਿਕੁ ਦਰਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਚਾਹੈ ਮੋਹਿ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਬਸਹਿ ਨਿਤ ਚਰਨਾ ॥੪॥੨॥
naanak baarik daras parabh chaahai mohi hirdai baseh nit charnaa||4||2||
O’ God, Your child Nanak yearns to experience Your blessed vision, and may Your Name continue to enshrine in my heart. ||4||2||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰਾ ਬੱਚਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤੇ, ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਤੇਰੇ ਚਰਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ॥੪॥੨॥

ਸਗਲ ਬਿਧੀ ਜੁਰਿ ਆਹਰੁ ਕਰਿਆ ਤਜਿਓ ਸਗਲ ਅੰਦੇਸਾ ॥
sagal biDhee jur aahar kari-aa taji-o sagal andaysaa.
O’ my friends, in order to visualize God, I made every endeavor; now it seems that all means of success have come together, and I have got rid of all my fears.
(ਹੁਣ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਉਂ ਜਾਪਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਦੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਢੰਗਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਲ ਕੇ (ਮੇਰੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਉੱਦਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਹੁਣ ਸਾਰੇ ਚਿੰਤਾ-ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਮਿਟਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ,
ਕਾਰਜੁ ਸਗਲ ਅਰੰਭਿਓ ਘਰ ਕਾ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕਾ ਭਾਰੋਸਾ ॥੧॥
kaaraj sagal araambhi-o ghar kaa thaakur kaa bhaarosaa. ||1||
I have begun the work to embellish my spiritual life, and now I have complete faith in my Master-God. ||1||
ਹੇ ਸਖੀ! ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਬਣਾਣ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੰਮ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੁਣ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ (ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ) ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਸੁਨੀਐ ਬਾਜੈ ਬਾਜ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ॥
sunee-ai baajai baaj suhaavee.
Now I am in a state of bliss as if I am hearing the melodious sound of the instruments of divine music.
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਅੰਦਰ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਲੱਗਣ ਵਾਲੀ (ਕਿਸੇ) ਵਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ (ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ)।
ਭੋਰੁ ਭਇਆ ਮੈ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਮੁਖ ਪੇਖੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਮੰਗਲ ਸੁਹਲਾਵੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
bhor bha-i-aa mai pari-a mukh paykhay garihi mangal suhlaavee. ||1|| rahaa-o.
When I visualized my beloved God, there was a blissful and joyous moment in my heart, as if the dawn of spiritual wisdom had broken in my life. ||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਸਖੀ! ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆ (ਦਰਸਨ ਕੀਤਾ), ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਹੀ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ, ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਈ, ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਦਾ) ਦਿਨ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਮਨੂਆ ਲਾਇ ਸਵਾਰੇ ਥਾਨਾਂ ਪੂਛਉ ਸੰਤਾ ਜਾਏ ॥
manoo-aa laa-ay savaaray thaanaaN poochha-o santaa jaa-ay.
With full concentration of mind, I have embellished all my senses; I visit the congregation of holy persons and seek their advice for the union with God.
ਪੂਰੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਜਾ ਕੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ) ਪੁੱਛਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹਾਂ।
ਖੋਜਤ ਖੋਜਤ ਮੈ ਪਾਹੁਨ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਉ ਨਿਵਿ ਪਾਏ ॥੨
khojat khojat mai paahun mili-o bhagat kara-o niv paa-ay. ||2||
By searching continuously, I have realized my master-God; now I humbly continue to remember Him with devotion. ||2||
ਭਾਲ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਢਹਿ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹਾਂ ॥੨॥
