ਅਨਿਕ ਪੁਰਖ ਅੰਸਾ ਅਵਤਾਰ ॥
anik purakh ansaa avtaar.
There are myriads of gods who are His tiny incarnations.
ਹੋਰ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਛੋਟੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਹਨ,
ਅਨਿਕ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਊਭੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ॥੩॥
anik indar oobhay darbaar. ||3||
and myriads of gods like Indira are standing before God waiting on Him. ||3||
ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਇੰਦਰ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਖਲੋਤੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
ਅਨਿਕ ਪਵਨ ਪਾਵਕ ਅਰੁ ਨੀਰ ॥
anik pavan paavak ar neer.
Innumerable are the airs, fires, and waters created by that God,
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਹਵਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਗ (ਆਦਿਕ) ਹਨ,
ਅਨਿਕ ਰਤਨ ਸਾਗਰ ਦਧਿ ਖੀਰ ॥
anik ratan saagar daDh kheer.
along with countless oceans full of jewels, yogurts, and milk.
(ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਰਤਨਾਂ ਦੇ, ਦਹੀਂ ਦੇ, ਦੁੱਧ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਹਨ।
ਅਨਿਕ ਸੂਰ ਸਸੀਅਰ ਨਖਿਆਤਿ ॥
anik soor sasee-ar nakhi-aat.
God has created myriads of suns, moons, and planets,
(ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਹੋਏ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਸੂਰਜ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਰੇ ਹਨ,
ਅਨਿਕ ਦੇਵੀ ਦੇਵਾ ਬਹੁ ਭਾਂਤਿ ॥੪॥
anik dayvee dayvaa baho bhaaNt. ||4||
and innumerable are the kinds of gods and goddesses created by Him.||4||
ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਦੇਵੀਆਂ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਹਨ ॥੪॥
ਅਨਿਕ ਬਸੁਧਾ ਅਨਿਕ ਕਾਮਧੇਨ ॥
anik basuDhaa anik kaamDhayn.
There are countless earths and many mythological Kaamdhens (the wish fulfilling cows) created by God,
ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਧਰਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਮਨੋ-ਕਾਮਨਾ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਸੁਵਰਗ ਦੀਆਂ ਗਾਂਈਆਂ ਹਨ,
ਅਨਿਕ ਪਾਰਜਾਤ ਅਨਿਕ ਮੁਖਿ ਬੇਨ ॥
anik paarjaat anik mukh bayn.
also there are myriads of Paarjaats (the wish fulfilling trees) and god Krishnas playing flutes.
ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਪਾਰਜਾਤ ਰੁੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਹਨ l
ਅਨਿਕ ਅਕਾਸ ਅਨਿਕ ਪਾਤਾਲ ॥
anik akaas anik paataal.
There are many skies and nether regions in God’s creation.
ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਪਾਤਾਲ ਹਨ।
ਅਨਿਕ ਮੁਖੀ ਜਪੀਐ ਗੋਪਾਲ ॥੫॥
anik mukhee japee-ai gopaal. ||5||
Innumerable people are reciting God’s Name. ||5||
ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜੀਵ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦੇ ਹਨ) ॥੫॥
ਅਨਿਕ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਪੁਰਾਨ ॥ ਅਨਿਕ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਹੋਵਤ ਬਖਿਆਨ ॥

God’s praises are being Sung in many different ways through many holy books like Shastras, Simritis, and Puranas.
ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਰਾਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ-ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ) ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ
ਅਨਿਕ ਸਰੋਤੇ ਸੁਨਹਿ ਨਿਧਾਨ ॥ ਸਰਬ ਜੀਅ ਪੂਰਨ ਭਗਵਾਨ ॥੬॥
anik sarotay suneh niDhaan. sarab jee-a pooran bhagvaan. ||6||
The perfect God is pervading all the beings and huge audience is listening to the praises of God, the treasure of virtues. ||6||
ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਸੁਣਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਉਸ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਾਂ ਸੁਣ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ॥੬॥
ਅਨਿਕ ਧਰਮ ਅਨਿਕ ਕੁਮੇਰ ॥
anik Dharam anik kumayr.
There are many judges of righteousness and Kumers (gods of wealth),
ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! (ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਧਰਮਰਾਜ ਹਨ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਧਨ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਕੁਬੇਰ ਹਨ,
ਅਨਿਕ ਬਰਨ ਅਨਿਕ ਕਨਿਕ ਸੁਮੇਰ ॥
anik baran anik kanik sumayr.
along with many Varunas (the gods of sea) and many sumayrs (the mountains of Gold).
ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਵਰਣ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਸੁਮੇਰ ਪਰਬਤ ਹਨ.
ਅਨਿਕ ਸੇਖ ਨਵਤਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਲੇਹਿ ॥
anik saykh navtan naam layhi.
Myriads of mythological Sheshnaags (cobras), daily utter God’s new names,
ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਨਾਗ ਹਨ ਜੋ (ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਨਵਾਂ ਹੀ ਨਾਮ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਤੇਹਿ ॥੭॥
paarbarahm kaa ant na tayhi. ||7||
but none of them has found the limits of God’s virtues. ||7||
ਪਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਉਸ (ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ) ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭਾ ॥੭॥
ਅਨਿਕ ਪੁਰੀਆ ਅਨਿਕ ਤਹ ਖੰਡ ॥ ਅਨਿਕ ਰੂਪ ਰੰਗ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡ ॥
anik puree-aa anik tah khand. anik roop rang barahmand.
In the universe created by God there are many countries, many continents of many different forms and colors.
(ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਖੰਡ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਪੁਰੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਰੂਪਾਂ ਰੰਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡ ਹਨ।
ਅਨਿਕ ਬਨਾ ਅਨਿਕ ਫਲ ਮੂਲ ॥
anik banaa anik fal mool.
Countless are the forests created by God and countless are the fruits and the tubers (root vegetables) in them,
ਉਸਦੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜੰਗਲ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਉੱਗਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਫਲ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਦ ਮੂਲ ਹਨ,
ਆਪਹਿ ਸੂਖਮ ਆਪਹਿ ਅਸਥੂਲ ॥੮॥
aapeh sookham aapeh asthool. ||8||
but God Himself is intangible and Himself is tangible as is His creation. ||8||
ਪਰ ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਅਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਰੂਪ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਜਗਤ-ਤਮਾਸ਼ਾ ਹੈ ॥੮॥
ਅਨਿਕ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਦਿਨਸ ਅਰੁ ਰਾਤਿ ॥
anik jugaad dinas ar raat.
There are many ages (time period), days and nights created by God.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਜੁਗ ਆਦਿਕ ਹਨ, ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਦਿਨ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਰਾਤਾਂ ਹਨ।
ਅਨਿਕ ਪਰਲਉ ਅਨਿਕ ਉਤਪਾਤਿ ॥
anik parla-o anik utpaat.
God destroys His creation countless times and also creates it many times.
ਉਹ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਵਾਰੀ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਵਾਰੀ ਜਗਤ-ਉਤਪੱਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਅਨਿਕ ਜੀਅ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਮਾਹਿ ॥ ਰਮਤ ਰਾਮ ਪੂਰਨ ਸ੍ਰਬ ਠਾਂਇ ॥੯॥
anik jee-a jaa kay garih maahi. ramat raam pooran sarab thaaN-ay. ||9||
God perfectly pervades everywhere and many kinds of beings live in His home (under His care). ||9||
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਐਸਾ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਤੀ ਹੈ) ਜੋ ਸਭ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਜੀਵ ਹਨ ॥੯॥
ਅਨਿਕ ਮਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਲਖੀ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
anik maa-i-aa jaa kee lakhee na jaa-ay.
There are many modes of Mayea in God’s creation which cannot be understood.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ (ਰਚੀ ਹੋਈ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਰੰਗਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਸਮਝੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ l
ਅਨਿਕ ਕਲਾ ਖੇਲੈ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ॥
anik kalaa khaylai har raa-ay.
God, the sovereign King, creates many plays.
ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਕੌਤਕ ਰਚਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਅਨਿਕ ਧੁਨਿਤ ਲਲਿਤ ਸੰਗੀਤ ॥
anik Dhunit lalit sangeet.
Myriads of melodious tunes are being played in His presence,
(ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਸੁਰੀਲੇ ਰਾਗਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੁਨੀ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਅਨਿਕ ਗੁਪਤ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੇ ਤਹ ਚੀਤ ॥੧੦॥
anik gupat pargatay tah cheet. ||10||
and many secret scribes of deeds are openly seen there. ||10||
ਉਥੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਚਿੱਤਰ ਗੁਪਤ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਦਿੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧੦॥
ਸਭ ਤੇ ਊਚ ਭਗਤ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ॥ ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਰੰਗਿ ॥
sabh tay ooch bhagat jaa kai sang. aath pahar gun gaavahi rang.
That God is the highest of all, in whose presence the devotees lovingly sing His praises all the time.
ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਭਗਤ-
ਅਨਿਕ ਅਨਾਹਦ ਆਨੰਦ ਝੁਨਕਾਰ ॥
anik anaahad aanand jhunkaar.
Myriads of blissful non-stop melodies keep playing in His presence.
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਵਜਾਏ ਵੱਜ ਰਹੇ ਸਾਜਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਿੱਠੀ ਸੁਰ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਉਆ ਰਸ ਕਾ ਕਛੁ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਰ ॥੧੧॥
u-aa ras kaa kachh ant na paar. ||11||
There is no end or limit to the state of that bliss. ||11||
ਉਸ ਆਨੰਦ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਜਾਂ ਪਾਰਲਾ ਬੰਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੧੧॥
ਸਤਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਸਤਿ ਅਸਥਾਨੁ ॥
sat purakh sat asthaan.
Eternal is the abode of that eternal God.
ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਭੀ ਅਟੱਲ ਹੈ।
ਊਚ ਤੇ ਊਚ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਨਿਰਬਾਨੁ ॥
ooch tay ooch nirmal nirbaan.
He is the highest of the high, immaculate and detached from everything.
ਉਹ ਉੱਚਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਹੈ, ਪਵਿੱਤਰ-ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਹੈ।
ਅਪੁਨਾ ਕੀਆ ਜਾਨਹਿ ਆਪਿ ॥
apunaa kee-aa jaaneh aap.
God Himself knows about the world He has created,
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਚੇ (ਜਗਤ) ਨੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ,
ਆਪੇ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਬਿਆਪਿ ॥
aapay ghat ghat rahi-o bi-aap.
and He Himself pervades each and every heart.
ਅਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈਂ।
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਇਆਲ ॥
kirpaa niDhaan naanak da-i-aal.
O’ Nanak! God, the treasure of kindness, is merciful.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਮਾਲਕ ਰਹਿਮਤ ਦਾ ਖਜਾਨਾ ਹੈ;
ਜਿਨਿ ਜਪਿਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇ ਭਏ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥੧੨॥੧॥੨॥੨॥੩॥੭॥
jin japi-aa naanak tay bha-ay nihaal. ||12||1||2||2||3||7||
O’ Nanak, whosoever remembered God with adoration, became delighted. ||12||1||2||2||3||7||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਨਿਹਾਲ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ ॥੧੨॥੧॥੨॥੨॥੩॥੭॥

One eternal God, realized by the grace of the True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਭ ਦੇਖੀਐ ਅਨਭੈ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ॥
sabh daykhee-ai anbhai kaa daataa.
The giver of fearlessness is seen in the entire universe.
ਨਿਰਭੈਤਾ ਦੀ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਦਿੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੈ ਅਲਿਪਾਤਾ ॥
ghat ghat pooran hai alipaataa.
That God is pervading each and every heart and is yet detached from all.
ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹਰੇਕ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ, ਫਿਰ ਭੀ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਪੂਰਨੁ ਕਰਿ ਬਿਸਥੀਰਨੁ ਜਲ ਤਰੰਗ ਜਿਉ ਰਚਨੁ ਕੀਆ ॥
ghat ghat pooran kar bistheeran jal tarang ji-o rachan kee-aa.
Just as water is there in its waves, similarly God has created this expanse of the universe and is pervading each and every body.
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ (ਵਿਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਜਗਤ-ਰਚਨਾ ਦਾ ਖਿਲਾਰਾ ਰਚ ਕੇ ਆਪ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ।
ਹਭਿ ਰਸ ਮਾਣੇ ਭੋਗ ਘਟਾਣੇ ਆਨ ਨ ਬੀਆ ਕੋ ਥੀਆ ॥
habh ras maanay bhog ghataanay aan na bee-aa ko thee-aa.
Abiding in all the hearts, He enjoys all relishes; except for Him there is none other at all.
ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਸ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਸਾਰੇ ਭੋਗ ਭੋਗਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਤੇ ਭੀ) ਕੋਈ ਦੂਜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗੀ ਇਕ ਰੰਗੀ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਸੰਤਸੰਗਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਤਾ ॥
har rangee ik rangee thaakur satsang parabh jaataa.
That Master who has created all the colors and forms of life is pervading all the beings in the same one form; God is realized in the company of saints.
ਸਭ ਰੰਗਾਂ ਦਾ ਰਚਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਉਹ ਮਾਲਕ-ਹਰੀ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਸਭ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ। ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਟਿੱਕ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਪੈ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਰਸਿ ਲੀਨਾ ਜਿਉ ਜਲ ਮੀਨਾ ਸਭ ਦੇਖੀਐ ਅਨਭੈ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ॥੧॥
naanak daras leenaa ji-o jal meenaa sabh daykhee-ai anbhai kaa daataa. ||1||
O Nanak, as a fish remains immersed in water, I remain absorbed in the blessed vision of God, the bestower of fearlessness in all.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਵਿਚ ਇਉਂ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੱਛੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ। ਨਿਰਭੈਤਾ ਦਾ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਵਿਚ ਦਿੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਕਉਨ ਉਪਮਾ ਦੇਉ ਕਵਨ ਬਡਾਈ ॥
ka-un upmaa day-o kavan badaa-ee.
What praises should I sing for Him and I cannot even say how great he is?
ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਬਰਾਬਰੀ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਦੱਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ। ਉਹ ਕੇਡਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈ-ਇਹ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੱਸ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਪੂਰਨ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਸ੍ਰਬ ਠਾਈ ॥
pooran poor rahi-o sarab thaa-ee.
The Perfect God is totally pervading everywhere.
ਉਹ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਭਨੀਂ ਥਾਈਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ।
ਪੂਰਨ ਮਨਮੋਹਨ ਘਟ ਘਟ ਸੋਹਨ ਜਬ ਖਿੰਚੈ ਤਬ ਛਾਈ ॥
pooran manmohan ghat ghat sohan jab khinchai tab chhaa-ee.
The perfect captivating God adorns each and every heart, but when He withdraws His power from a creature, it becomes all dust.
ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ, ਸਭ ਦੇ ਮਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਿੱਚ ਪਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਸਭ ਸਰੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਆਪਣੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਸੋਹਣਾ ਬਣਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਖਿੱਚ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦਾ।
