ਜਿਨ ਸੰਤਨ ਜਾਨਿਆ ਤੂ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਤੇ ਆਏ ਪਰਵਾਨ ॥
jin santan jaani-aa too thaakur tay aa-ay parvaan.
O’ the Master-God, Those saints who have realized You, their advent in this world is fruitful.
ਹੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ (ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾ ਲਈ), ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਆਉਣਾ ਸਫਲ ਹੈ।
ਜਨ ਕਾ ਸੰਗੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੈ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ॥੨॥੪੧॥੬੪॥
jan kaa sang paa-ee-ai vadbhaagee naanak santan kai kurbaan. ||2||41||64||
O’ Nanak, the company of the saintly person is attained by great good fortune, I am dedicated to the saints. ||2||41||64||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੨॥੪੧॥੬੪॥

Raag Sarang, Fifth Guru:
ਕਰਹੁ ਗਤਿ ਦਇਆਲ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਮੋਰੀ ॥
karahu gat da-i-aal santahu moree.
O’ merciful saint-Guru, bless me with a high spiritual state.
ਹੇ ਦਇਆ ਦੇ ਸੋਮੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਮੇਰੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਕਰ ਦਿਉ।
ਤੁਮ ਸਮਰਥ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਤੂਟੀ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਜੋਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
tum samrath kaaran karnaa tootee tum hee joree. ||1|| rahaa-o.
You are all-powerful, the embodiment of the creator of the universe and you reunite the separated ones with God.||1||pause||
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਭ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੋ।ਅਤੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਮੂਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਹੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਟੁੱਟੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੁਰਤ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਜੋੜਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਬਿਖਈ ਤੁਮ ਤਾਰੇ ਸੁਮਤਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੁਮਾਰੈ ਪਾਈ ॥
janam janam kay bikh-ee tum taaray sumat sang tumaarai paa-ee.
O’ saint-Guru, you have emancipated those who have been committing sins birth after birth, sublime intellect is attained in your company.
ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹੋ, ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਰਿਹਾਂ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਅਕਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਅਨਿਕ ਜੋਨਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਿਸਰਤ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਹਰਿ ਗਾਈ ॥੧॥
anik jon bharamtay parabh bisrat saas saas har gaa-ee. ||1||
Forgetting God, those who wandered through countless incarnations, even they started singing God’s praises in your company. ||1||
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜੂਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਭਟਕਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਭੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ॥੧॥
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਸਾਧੂ ਕੈ ਤੇ ਤੇ ਪਤਿਤ ਪੁਨੀਤਾ ॥
jo jo sang milay saaDhoo kai tay tay patit puneetaa.
All those who meet with the Guru and follow his teachings, from sinners they become virtuous.
ਜਿਹੜੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਸੁੱਚੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਵਡਭਾਗਾ ਤਿਨਿ ਜਨਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਜੀਤਾ ॥੨॥੪੨॥੬੫॥
kaho naanak jaa kay vadbhaagaa tin janam padaarath jeetaa. ||2||42||65||
O’ Nanak! say, one who has great preordained destiny, achieved the objective of precious human life.||2||42||65||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖ- ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗ ਜਾਗ ਪਏ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਿਆ ॥੨॥੪੨॥੬੫॥

Raag Sarang, Fifth Guru:
ਠਾਕੁਰ ਬਿਨਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਜਨੁ ਆਇਓ ॥
thaakur bintee karan jan aa-i-o.
O’ Master-God, Your devotee has come before You to offer a prayer.
ਹੇ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਤੇਰਾ) ਦਾਸ (ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ) ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਸਰਬ ਸੂਖ ਆਨੰਦ ਸਹਜ ਰਸ ਸੁਨਤ ਤੁਹਾਰੋ ਨਾਇਓ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sarab sookh aanand sahj ras sunat tuhaaro naa-i-o. ||1|| rahaa-o.
O’ God, one attains all the pleasure of inner peace, bliss and spiritual stability by listening to Your Name. ||1||pause||
ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਸੁਣਦਿਆਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਸ (ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ) ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਸੂਖ ਕੇ ਸਾਗਰ ਜਸੁ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਜਾ ਕੋ ਛਾਇਓ ॥
kirpaa niDhaan sookh kay saagar jas sabh meh jaa ko chhaa-i-o.
O’ the treasure of mercy, the ocean of inner peace, You are so great that Your glory is spread in the entire universe.
ਹੇ ਦਇਆ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ! ਹੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ! (ਤੂੰ ਐਸਾ ਹੈਂ) ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਵਿਚ ਫੈਲੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
ਸੰਤਸੰਗਿ ਰੰਗ ਤੁਮ ਕੀਏ ਅਪਨਾ ਆਪੁ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਾਇਓ ॥੧॥
satsang rang tum kee-ay apnaa aap daristaa-i-o. ||1||
O’ God! in the company of saints You enjoy many blissful plays and reveal Yourself to them. ||1||
ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਤੂੰ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਆਨੰਦ-ਚੋਜ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇ, ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਗਟ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੧॥
ਨੈਨਹੁ ਸੰਗਿ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਚਰਨ ਝਾਰੀ ਕੇਸਾਇਓ ॥
nainhu sang santan kee sayvaa charan jhaaree kaysaa-i-o.
O’ God, (bestow mercy), that with my eyes I may have the blessed vision of the saints, and humbly serve them by dusting their feet with my hair.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ, ਮੈਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਤਾ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੇਸਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਝਾੜਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ।
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਸੰਤਨ ਕਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਇਹੁ ਪਾਇਓ ॥੨॥੪੩॥੬੬॥
aath pahar darsan santan kaa sukh naanak ih paa-i-o. ||2||43||66||
O’ Nanak! say, O’ God! bless me with this inner peace that I may have the blessed vision of saints at all times. ||2||43||66||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੇਰੀ ਝੋਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਉਣਾ ਕਰੋ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਅੱਠੇ ਪਹਰ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ ॥੨॥੪੩॥੬੬॥ I

Raag Sarang, Fifth Guru:
ਜਾ ਕੀ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ ॥
jaa kee raam naam liv laagee.
One whose mind is focused on God’s Name,
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਗ ਗਈ ਹੈ,
ਸਜਨੁ ਸੁਰਿਦਾ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ਸਹਜੇ ਸੋ ਕਹੀਐ ਬਡਭਾਗੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sajan suridaa suhaylaa sehjay so kahee-ai badbhaagee. ||1|| rahaa-o.
is virtuous, good-hearted and internally happy; he remains spiritually stably and should be considered very fortunate.||1||pause||
ਉਹ ਭਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸੁਖੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਆਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਰਹਿਤ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਅਲਪ ਮਾਇਆ ਤੇ ਅਹੰਬੁਧਿ ਬਿਖੁ ਤਿਆਗੀ ॥
rahit bikaar alap maa-i-aa tay ahaN-buDh bikh ti-aagee.
He remains free of vices, detached from Maya and he abandons his self-conceit, the poison for spiritual life.
ਉਹ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹਉਮੈ-ਜ਼ਹਰ ਉਹ ਤਿਆਗ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਦਰਸ ਪਿਆਸ ਆਸ ਏਕਹਿ ਕੀ ਟੇਕ ਹੀਐਂ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਪਾਗੀ ॥੧॥
daras pi-aas aas aykeh kee tayk hee-aiN pari-a paagee. ||1||
He remains yearning and hopeful for the blessed vision of God and he firmly keeps the support of beloved God’s Name in his heart. ||1||
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਦੀ ਤਾਂਘ ਤੇ ਆਸ ਲੱਗੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਆਸਰਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਸੋਇ ਜਾਗਨੁ ਉਠਿ ਬੈਸਨੁ ਅਚਿੰਤ ਹਸਤ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ॥
achint so-ay jaagan uth baisan achint hasat bairaagee.
Such a detached person, whether asleep or awake, sitting or standing is always carefree and smiling.
ਅਜਿਹਾ ਵੈਰਾਗੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੁੱਤਿਆਂ ਜਾਗਦਿਆਂ ਉੱਠਦਿਆਂ ਬੈਠਦਿਆਂ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਸਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਨਿ ਜਗਤੁ ਠਗਾਨਾ ਸੁ ਮਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਠਾਗੀ ॥੨॥੪੪॥੬੭॥
kaho naanak jin jagat thagaanaa so maa-i-aa har jan thaagee. ||2||44||67||
O’ Nanak! say, God’s devotees have kept that Maya under their control, which has cheated the entire world. ||2||44||67||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ, ਜਿਸ ਮਾਇਆ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਭਰਮਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਮਾਇਆ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੪੪॥੬੭॥

Raag Sarang, Fifth Guru:
ਅਬ ਜਨ ਊਪਰਿ ਕੋ ਨ ਪੁਕਾਰੈ ॥
ab jan oopar ko na pukaarai.
Now no one makes a complaint against God’s devotee.
ਹੁਣ, ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ।
ਪੂਕਾਰਨ ਕਉ ਜੋ ਉਦਮੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਤਾ ਕਉ ਮਾਰੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
pookaaran ka-o jo udam kartaa gur parmaysar taa ka-o maarai. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Whoever makes an effort to malign God’s devotee, by not following the teachings of the Divine Guru, he spiritually deteriorat. ||1||Pause||
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਉੱਤੇ ਦੂਸ਼ਣ ਥੱਪਣ ਦਾ ਜਤਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੀਵਾਂ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਨਿਰਵੈਰੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਵੈਰੁ ਰਚਾਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਓਹੁ ਹਾਰੈ ॥
nirvairai sang vair rachaavai har dargeh oh haarai.
Whosoever harbors enmity with the one who has enmity towards none, loses in God’s presence.
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੈਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ, ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵੈਰ ਕਮਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਤੋਲ ਵਿਚ ਪੂਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਉਤਰਦਾ।
ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਪੈਜ ਸਵਾਰੈ ॥੧॥
aad jugaad parabh kee vadi-aa-ee jan kee paij savaarai. ||1||
From the very beginning of time, and throughout the ages, it is has been the greatness of God, that He preserves the honor of His devotees. ||1||
ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ, ਜੁਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਢ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਗੁਣ ਚਲਿਆ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੀ ਲਾਜ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਨਿਰਭਉ ਭਏ ਸਗਲ ਭਉ ਮਿਟਿਆ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਆਧਾਰੈ ॥
nirbha-o bha-ay sagal bha-o miti-aa charan kamal aaDhaarai.
By leaning on God’s immaculate Name, one becomes fearless and all his worldly fears vanish.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲਿਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ (ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਾਲਾ) ਹਰੇਕ ਡਰ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਬਚਨਿ ਜਪਿਓ ਨਾਉ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਭਇਓ ਸੰਸਾਰੈ ॥੨॥੪੫॥੬੮॥
gur kai bachan japi-o naa-o naanak pargat bha-i-o sansaarai. ||2||45||68||
O’ Nanak, whoever lovingly remembered God’s Name by following the Guru’s teachings became known in the world. ||2||45||68||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਭੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ, ਉਹ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਮਣੇ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ॥੨॥੪੫॥੬੮॥

Raag Sarang, Fifth Guru:
ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਛੋਡਿਆ ਸਗਲਾ ਆਪੁ ॥
har jan chhodi-aa saglaa aap.
I, the humble devotee of God, have discarded all self-conceit.
ਮੈਂ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਗੋਲੇ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਸਵੈ-ਹੰਗਤਾ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਉ ਜਾਨਹੁ ਤਿਉ ਰਖਹੁ ਗੁਸਾਈ ਪੇਖਿ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਪਰਤਾਪੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ji-o jaanhu ti-o rakhahu gusaa-ee paykh jeevaaN partaap. ||1|| rahaa-o.
I spiritually survive by beholding Your glorious grandeur: O’ the Master of the universe, save me as You wish.||1||pause||
ਹੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਖਸਮ! ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ ਤਿਵੇਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰ। ਤੇਰਾ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਗੁਰ ਉਪਦੇਸਿ ਸਾਧ ਕੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਬਿਨਸਿਓ ਸਗਲ ਸੰਤਾਪੁ ॥

All my sorrow has vanished by following the Guru’s teachings and the blessing of the holy congregation.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਮੂਹ ਦੁੱਖ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ l
ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਤ੍ਰ ਪੇਖਿ ਸਮਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਓ ਸਗਲ ਸੰਭਾਖਨ ਜਾਪੁ ॥੧॥
mitar satar paykh samat beechaari-o sagal sambhaakhan jaap. ||1||
cosidering divine light pervading in all, I see all friends and enemies alike and all I talk is the recitation God’s Name. ||1||
ਆਪਣੇ ਮਿੱਤਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ (ਸਭਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਜੋਤਿ) ਇਕ-ਸਮਾਨ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਦਾ ਬੋਲ-ਚਾਲ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਤਪਤਿ ਬੁਝੀ ਸੀਤਲ ਆਘਾਨੇ ਸੁਨਿ ਅਨਹਦ ਬਿਸਮ ਭਏ ਬਿਸਮਾਦ ॥
tapat bujhee seetal aaghaanay sun anhad bisam bha-ay bismaad.
The fire of worldly desires within me is quenched, I have become calm; listening to the nonstop divine melody, I am wonder-struck and amazed.
ਮੇਰੀ ਅੰਦਰਲੀ ਅੱਗ ਬੁਝ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਠੰਡਾ-ਠਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਤੁਸ਼ਟ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ। ਬੈਕੁੰਠੀ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ, ਮੈਂ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਸਚਰਜ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ।
ਅਨਦੁ ਭਇਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਨਿ ਸਾਚਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਪੂਰੇ ਨਾਦ ॥੨॥੪੬॥੬੯॥
anad bha-i-aa naanak man saachaa pooran pooray naad. ||2||46||69||
O’ Nanak, the eternal God has manifested in my mind and a state of bliss has welled up in me, as if divine melodies are fully playing within me. ||2||46||69||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆ ਵੱਸਇਆ ਹੈ।ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਸੰਖ ਆਦਿਕ ਨਾਦ ਵੱਜ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥੪੬॥੬੯॥
