ਤਿਨ ਸਿਉ ਰਾਚਿ ਮਾਚਿ ਹਿਤੁ ਲਾਇਓ ਜੋ ਕਾਮਿ ਨਹੀ ਗਾਵਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
tin si-o raach maach hit laa-i-o jo kaam nahee gaavaaree. ||1||
O’ foolish one, you are involved and in love with those who won’t be of any use to you in the end. ||1||
ਹੇ ਗਵਾਰ! ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਚ ਕੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਜੋ (ਆਖ਼ਿਰ) ਤੇਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਆ ਸਕਦੇ ॥੧॥
ਹਉ ਨਾਹੀ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਿਛੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਨਾ ਹਮਰੋ ਬਸੁ ਚਾਰੀ ॥
ha-o naahee naahee kichh mayraa naa hamro bas chaaree.
O’ God, I am nothing, nothing belongs to me, and nothing is under my control.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੇਰੀ ਕੋਈ ਪਾਂਇਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ, ਮੇਰੀ ਕੋਈ ਸਮਰਥਾ ਨਹੀਂ, (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਟਾਕਰੇ ਤੇ) ਮੇਰਾ ਕੋਈ ਵੱਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਕੋਈ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ।
ਕਰਨ ਕਰਾਵਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੰਤਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਉਧਾਰੀ ॥੨॥੩੬॥੫੯॥
karan karaavan naanak kay parabh santan sang uDhaaree. ||2||36||59||
O’ Nanak’s God, capable of doing and getting everything done, ferry me across the world ocean of vices by keeping me in saint’s company. ||2||36||59||
ਹੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਮਰਥਾ ਵਾਲੇ! ਹੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਾ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲੇ! ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ (ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ) ਮੇਰਾ ਪਾਰ-ਉਤਾਰਾ ਕਰ ॥੨॥੩੬॥੫੯॥

Raag Sarang, Fifth Guru:
ਮੋਹਨੀ ਮੋਹਤ ਰਹੈ ਨ ਹੋਰੀ ॥
mohnee mohat rahai na horee.
The Maya keeps enticing people, it doesn’t stop even when one tries to stop.
ਮੋਹਨੀ (ਮਾਇਆਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਆਪਣੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਾਂਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਕਿਸੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਰੋਕਿਆਂ ਰੁਕਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ।
ਸਾਧਿਕ ਸਿਧ ਸਗਲ ਕੀ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਤੁਟੈ ਨ ਕਾਹੂ ਤੋਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
saaDhik siDh sagal kee pi-aaree tutai na kaahoo toree. ||1|| rahaa-o.
It is even dear to all the adept yogis and ascetics; its bonds are not snapped even by trying. ||1||Pause||
ਇਹ ਜੋਗ-ਸਾਧਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪੁੱਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਜੋਗ-ਸਾਧਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਹੈ ਕਿਸੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ (ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ) ਤੋੜਿਆਂ ਟੁੱਟਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਖਟੁ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਉਚਰਤ ਰਸਨਾਗਰ ਤੀਰਥ ਗਵਨ ਨ ਥੋਰੀ ॥
khat saastar uchrat rasnaagar tirath gavan na thoree.
Even by reciting all the six Shastras (holy books) from one’s tongue, or going around holy places, the love for Maya does not decrease.
ਛੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਮੂੰਹ-ਜ਼ਬਾਨੀਂ ਉਚਾਰਿਆਂ, ਤੀਰਥਾਂ ਦਾ ਰਟਨ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਭੀ (ਮਾਇਆ ਵਾਲੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ) ਘਟਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਪੂਜਾ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਬਰਤ ਨੇਮ ਤਪੀਆ ਊਹਾ ਗੈਲਿ ਨ ਛੋਰੀ ॥੧॥
poojaa chakar barat naym tapee-aa oohaa gail na chhoree. ||1||
It does not spare even those who perform devotional worship, make religious signs on their body, observe fasts, perform rituals and penance. ||1||
ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਲੋਕ ਹਨ ਦੇਵ-ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ, (ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਗਣੇਸ਼ ਆਦਿਕ ਦੇ) ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਲਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ, ਵਰਤ ਆਦਿਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਨੇਮ ਨਿਬਾਹੁਣ ਵਾਲੇ, ਤਪ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ। ਪਰ ਮਾਇਆ ਉਥੇ ਭੀ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡਦੀ (ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੀ) ॥੧॥
ਅੰਧ ਕੂਪ ਮਹਿ ਪਤਿਤ ਹੋਤ ਜਗੁ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਕਰਹੁ ਪਰਮ ਗਤਿ ਮੋਰੀ ॥
anDh koop meh patit hot jag santahu karahu param gat moree.
The world is falling in the deep dark pit of Maya: O Saints, help me attain the supreme spiritual state.
ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਜਗਤ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਖੂਹ ਵਿਚ ਡਿੱਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਬਣਾਓ ।
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਭਇਓ ਮੁਕਤਾ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਪੇਖਤ ਭੋਰੀ ॥੨॥੩੭॥੬੦॥
saaDhsangat naanak bha-i-o muktaa darsan paykhat bhoree. ||2||37||60||
Nanak has been liberated by experiencing the blessed vision of God even for a moment in the company of saints. ||2||37||60||
ਇਕ ਮੁਹਤ ਭਰ ਲਈ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਦੇਖਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ , ਸਤਿਸੰਗਤ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਨਾਨਕ ਮੁਕਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।

Raag Sarang, Fifth Guru:
ਕਹਾ ਕਰਹਿ ਰੇ ਖਾਟਿ ਖਾਟੁਲੀ ॥
kahaa karahi ray khaat khaatulee.
(O’ fool, just think), what would you do by earning perishable worldly wealth?
ਹੇ (ਮੂਰਖ)! (ਮਾਇਆ ਵਾਲੀ) ਕੋਝੀ ਖੱਟੀ ਖੱਟ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ ਕੀ ਕਰੇਗਾ?
ਪਵਨਿ ਅਫਾਰ ਤੋਰ ਚਾਮਰੋ ਅਤਿ ਜਜਰੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਰੇ ਮਾਟੁਲੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
pavan afaar tor chaamro at jajree tayree ray maatulee. ||1|| rahaa-o.
You are puffed like a bag of air and your pitcher-like body is extremely fragile. ||1||Pause||
(ਤੂੰ ਧਿਆਨ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਕਿ) ਹਵਾ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰੀ ਚਮੜੀ ਫੁੱਲੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਤੇਰਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਜਰਜਰਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਊਹੀ ਤੇ ਹਰਿਓ ਊਹਾ ਲੇ ਧਰਿਓ ਜੈਸੇ ਬਾਸਾ ਮਾਸ ਦੇਤ ਝਾਟੁਲੀ ॥
oohee tay hari-o oohaa lay Dhari-o jaisay baasaa maas dayt jhaatulee.
Just as a hawk swoops down on the flesh, similarly you snatch things from one place and store them at another place.
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਬਾਸ਼ਾ ਮਾਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਝਪਟ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਤੂੰ ਭੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ (ਧਨ ਝਪਟ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ) ਖੋਂਹਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇ, ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਸਾਂਭ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਦੇਵਨਹਾਰੁ ਬਿਸਾਰਿਓ ਅੰਧੁਲੇ ਜਿਉ ਸਫਰੀ ਉਦਰੁ ਭਰੈ ਬਹਿ ਹਾਟੁਲੀ ॥੧॥
dayvanhaar bisaari-o anDhulay ji-o safree udar bharai bahi haatulee. ||1||
O’ ignorant mortal, you have forgotten the benefactor God, just like that traveler who keeps eating at a shop and forgets about the remaining journey. ||1||
ਹੇ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ) ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਏ ਮਨੁੱਖ! ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਰਾਹੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੱਟੀ ਤੇ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਪੇਟ ਭਰੀ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤੇ, ਇਹ ਚੇਤਾ ਹੀ ਭੁਲਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਪੈਂਡਾ ਖੋਟਾ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ) ॥੧॥
ਸਾਦ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਝੂਠ ਰਸ ਜਹ ਜਾਨੋ ਤਹ ਭੀਰ ਬਾਟੁਲੀ ॥
saad bikaar bikaar jhooth ras jah jaano tah bheer baatulee.
You are entangled in the taste of false pleasures and evil deeds, therefore, the path to that place where you have to go is becoming very narrow and difficult.
ਹੇ ਮੂਰਖ! ਤੂੰ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਦਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਸਾਂ ਵਿਚ (ਮਸਤ ਹੈਂ) ਜਿੱਥੇ ਤੂੰ ਜਾਣਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਰਸਤਾ (ਇਹਨਾਂ ਰਸਾਂ ਤੇ ਸੁਆਦਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ) ਔਖਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਮਝੁ ਰੇ ਇਆਨੇ ਆਜੁ ਕਾਲਿ ਖੁਲ੍ਹ੍ਹੈ ਤੇਰੀ ਗਾਂਠੁਲੀ ॥੨॥੩੮॥੬੧॥
kaho naanak samajh ray i-aanay aaj kaal khulHai tayree gaaNthulee. ||2||38||61||
O’ Nanak! say, O’ the ignorant! very soon the knot of your breaths would open and you would die. ||2||38||61||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖ! ਹੇ ਮੂਰਖ! ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੰਢ ਖੁਲ੍ਹ ਜਾਏਗੀ ॥੨॥੩੮॥੬੧॥

ਗੁਰ ਜੀਉ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੁਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਨਿਓ ॥
gur jee-o sang tuhaarai jaani-o.
O’ respected Guru, it is in your company I have realized God,
ਹੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ! ਤੇਰੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ (ਰਹਿ ਕੇ)ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਕੋਟਿ ਜੋਧ ਉਆ ਕੀ ਬਾਤ ਨ ਪੁਛੀਐ ਤਾਂ ਦਰਗਹ ਭੀ ਮਾਨਿਓ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
kot joDh u-aa kee baat na puchhee-ai taaN dargeh bhee maani-o. ||1|| rahaa-o||
I have been recognized in that God’s court, where millions of warriors roam around and nobody cares about them. ||1||Pause||
ਉਥੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾ ਹੀ ਯੋਧੇ ਹਨ। ਉਥੇ ਉਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਪਰਵਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ, ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਉਥੇ ਭੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਆਬਰੂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਕਵਨ ਮੂਲੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀ ਕਾ ਕਹੀਐ ਕਵਨ ਰੂਪੁ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਾਨਿਓ ॥
kavan mool paraanee kaa kahee-ai kavan roop daristaani-o.
What can we say about the origin of human beings (semen and egg), but how beautiful they become?
(ਰਕਤ ਬਿੰਦ ਦਾ) ਜੀਵ ਦਾ ਗੰਦਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੀ ਮੁੱਢ ਆਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਪਰ ਇਸ ਗੰਦੇ ਮੂਲ ਤੋਂ ਭੀ) ਕੈਸੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਸ਼ਕਲ ਦਿੱਸ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਜੋਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸ ਭਈ ਮਾਟੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਦੁਲਭ ਦੇਹ ਬਖਾਨਿਓ ॥੧॥
jot pargaas bha-ee maatee sang dulabh dayh bakhaani-o. ||1||
But when the divine light shines in the human body made of basic elements, then it is called as difficult to obtain a precious human body. ||1||
ਜਦੋਂ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਰਲੱਭ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਆਖੀਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਤੁਮ ਤੇ ਸੇਵ ਤੁਮ ਤੇ ਜਪ ਤਾਪਾ ਤੁਮ ਤੇ ਤਤੁ ਪਛਾਨਿਓ ॥
tum tay sayv tum tay jap taapaa tum tay tat pachhaani-o.
O’ Guru, from you I have learnt the way to perform devotional worship, penance and the righteous way of living.
ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ! ਤੈਥੋਂ ਹੀ (ਮੈਂ) ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਦੀ ਜਾਚ ਸਿੱਖੀ, ਤੈਥੋਂ ਹੀ ਜਪ ਤਪ ਦੀ ਸਮਝ ਆਈ, ਤੈਥੋਂ ਹੀ ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਰਸਤਾ ਸਮਝਿਆ।
ਕਰੁ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਧਰਿ ਕਟੀ ਜੇਵਰੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਦਸਾਨਿਓ ॥੨॥੩੯॥੬੨॥
kar mastak Dhar katee jayvree naanak daas dasaani-o. ||2||39||62||
Bestowing grace, you have cut off my noose of Maya: O’ Nanak! I am the servant of Your devotees.||2||39||62||.
ਮੇਰੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੀ ਫਾਹੀ ਕੱਟ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਾਸ ਹਾਂ ॥੨॥੩੯॥੬੨॥

Raag Sarang, Fifth Guru:
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਦੀਓ ਸੇਵਕ ਕਉ ਨਾਮ ॥
har har dee-o sayvak ka-o naam.
God has blessed His devotee with the gift of Naam:
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਮ ਬਖਸ਼ਿਆ ਹੈ;
ਮਾਨਸੁ ਕਾ ਕੋ ਬਪੁਰੋ ਭਾਈ ਜਾ ਕੋ ਰਾਖਾ ਰਾਮ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
maanas kaa ko bapuro bhaa-ee jaa ko raakhaa raam. ||1|| rahaa-o.
O’ brother, what harm can any helpless human being do to the one whose savior is God Himself? ||1||pause||.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਰਖਵਾਲਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ,ਕੋਈ ਵਿਚਾਰਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਵਿਗਾੜ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਆਪਿ ਮਹਾ ਜਨੁ ਆਪੇ ਪੰਚਾ ਆਪਿ ਸੇਵਕ ਕੈ ਕਾਮ ॥
aap mahaa jan aapay panchaa aap sayvak kai kaam.
He Himself is treasurer, He Himself is the leader and He Himself accomplishes the tasks of His devotee.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮੁਖੀਆ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਸਹੂਕਾਰ ਹੈ।
ਆਪੇ ਸਗਲੇ ਦੂਤ ਬਿਦਾਰੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮ ॥੧॥
aapay saglay doot bidaaray thaakur antarjaam. ||1||
The omniscient Master-God Himself destroys all the demons (vices) .||1||
ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਮੁਕਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਆਪੇ ਪਤਿ ਰਾਖੀ ਸੇਵਕ ਕੀ ਆਪਿ ਕੀਓ ਬੰਧਾਨ ॥
aapay pat raakhee sayvak kee aap kee-o banDhaan.
God Himself saves the honor of His devotee and, He Himself blesses them with spiritual stability.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਖੁਦ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਥਿਰਤਾ ਪਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ।
ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਸੇਵਕ ਕੀ ਰਾਖੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਨ ॥੨॥੪੦॥੬੩॥
aad jugaad sayvak kee raakhai naanak ko parabh jaan. ||2||40||63||
The omniscient God of Nanak has been saving the honor of His devotee since the very beginning of time and throughout the ages.||2||40||63||.
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾ ਜਾਣੀ ਜਾਣ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਦਿ ਤੋਂ ਜੁਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਦਿ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੪੦॥੬੩॥

Raag Sarang, Fifth Guru:
ਤੂ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੀਤ ਸਖਾ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ॥
too mayray meet sakhaa har paraan.
O’ God, You are my friend, companion and the breath of my life.
ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਈ ਹੈਂ।
ਮਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਸਭੁ ਤੁਮਰਾ ਇਹੁ ਤਨੁ ਸੀਤੋ ਤੁਮਰੈ ਧਾਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
man Dhan jee-o pind sabh tumraa ih tan seeto tumrai Dhaan. ||1|| rahaa-o.
This mind, wealth, life and body are all Your blessings, my body is so focused on remembering You as if it is sewn to You).||1||pause||.
ਮੇਰਾ ਇਹ ਮਨ ਧਨ ਇਹ ਜਿੰਦ ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ-ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰਾ ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਦੀਏ ਅਨਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰਾ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਦੀਏ ਮਾਨ ॥
tum hee dee-ay anik parkaaraa tum hee dee-ay maan.
O’ God! You have blessed me with all sorts of gifts, and you have blessed me with honor and respect.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਦਾਤਾ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ ,ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ-ਆਬਰੂ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ।
ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਪਤਿ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਜਾਨ ॥੧॥
sadaa sadaa tum hee pat raakho antarjaamee jaan. ||1||
O’ the omniscient God! Forever and ever, You preserve my honor ||1||
ਹੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲੇ! ਹੇ ਜਾਣੀਜਾਣ! ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਮੇਰੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੧॥
