Raag Saarang, Fifth Guru, Du-Padas (two stanzas), Fourth Beat:
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik-oNkaar satgur parsaad.
One eternal God, realized by the grace of the True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਮੋਹਨ ਘਰਿ ਆਵਹੁ ਕਰਉ ਜੋਦਰੀਆ ॥
mohan ghar aavhu kara-o jodree-aa.
O’ fascinating God, with utmost humility I pray, please manifest in my heart.
ਹੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਹਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਮਿੰਨਤ ਕਰਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸ।
ਮਾਨੁ ਕਰਉ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੈ ਬੋਲਉ ਭੂਲ ਚੂਕ ਤੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਚਿਰੀਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
maan kara-o abhimaanai bola-o bhool chook tayree pari-a chiree-aa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
I indulge in self-conceit, speak arrogantly and make errors and mistakes; O’ beloved God, still I am Your devotee. ||1||Pause||
ਮੈਂ ਮਾਣ ਕਰਦੀ ਹਾਂ, ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੀ ਹਾਂ, ਭੁੱਲਾਂ-ਚੁੱਕਾਂ ਕਰਦੀ ਹਾਂ, (ਫਿਰ ਭੀ) ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ (ਹੀ) ਦਾਸੀ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਨਿਕਟਿ ਸੁਨਉ ਅਰੁ ਪੇਖਉ ਨਾਹੀ ਭਰਮਿ ਭਰਮਿ ਦੁਖ ਭਰੀਆ ॥
nikat sun-o ar paykha-o naahee bharam bharam dukh bharee-aa.
O’ God, I hear that You are very near but I cannot see You, and wandering in doubt, I keep suffering.
ਹੇ ਮੋਹਨ! ਮੈਂ ਸੁਣਦੀ ਹਾਂ (ਤੂੰ) ਨੇੜੇ (ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈਂ), ਪਰ ਮੈਂ (ਤੈਨੂੰ) ਵੇਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ। ਸਦਾ ਭਟਕ ਭਟਕ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਫਸੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹਾਂ।
ਹੋਇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਗੁਰ ਲਾਹਿ ਪਾਰਦੋ ਮਿਲਉ ਲਾਲ ਮਨੁ ਹਰੀਆ ॥੧॥
ho-ay kirpaal gur laahi paardo mila-o laal man haree-aa. ||1||
O’ my Guru, be kind and remove this curtain of Maya from my mind, so that I may realize beloved God and my mind may spiritually rejuvenate. ||1||
ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ!ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦਾ) ਪਰਦਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਂ, ਮੈਂ (ਸੋਹਣੇ) ਲਾਲ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪਵਾਂ, ਤੇ, ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਨਾਲ) ਹਰ-ਭਰਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਏ ॥੧॥
ਏਕ ਨਿਮਖ ਜੇ ਬਿਸਰੈ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜਾਨਉ ਕੋਟਿ ਦਿਨਸ ਲਖ ਬਰੀਆ ॥
ayk nimakh jay bisrai su-aamee jaan-o kot dinas lakh baree-aa.
If I forget my Master-God, even for an instant, it appears as if millions of days and years have passed.
ਜੇ ਅੱਖ ਝਮਕਣ ਜਿਤਨੇ ਸਮੇ ਲਈ ਭੀ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਮਨ ਤੋਂ) ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਏ, ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਇਉਂ ਸਮਝਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਦਿਨ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਲੰਘ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੀ ਭੀਰ ਜਉ ਪਾਈ ਤਉ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਰੀਆ ॥੨॥੧॥੨੪॥
saaDhsangat kee bheer ja-o paa-ee ta-o naanak har sang miree-aa. ||2||1||24||
O’ Nanak, when I attained the company of saints, I realized God. ||2||1||24||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਇਆ, ਤਦੋਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਲ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ॥੨॥੧॥੨੪॥

Raag Saarang, Fifth Guru:
ਅਬ ਕਿਆ ਸੋਚਉ ਸੋਚ ਬਿਸਾਰੀ ॥
ab ki-aa socha-o soch bisaaree.
What else should I think now? I have given up thinking,
ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਹੋਰ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਸੋਚਾਂ ਸੋਚਾਂ? ਮੈਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਸੋਚ ਵਿਸਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ,
ਕਰਣਾ ਸਾ ਸੋਈ ਕਰਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਦੇਹਿ ਨਾਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
karnaa saa so-ee kar rahi-aa deh naa-o balihaaree. ||1|| rahaa-o.
because God is doing whatever He has to do: O’ God! bless me with Your Name, I am dedicated to You. ||1||Pause||
ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਉਹ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਮ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼, ਮੈਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਚਹੁ ਦਿਸ ਫੂਲਿ ਰਹੀ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਬਿਖੁ ਗੁਰ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਮੂਖਿ ਗਰੁੜਾਰੀ ॥
chahu dis fool rahee bikhi-aa bikh gur mantar mookh garurhaaree.
The poison of Maya is spreading in the world, uttering the Guru’s mantra is the antidote for this poison just as Garurr mantra is for snake poison
ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਇਆ (ਸਪਣੀ) ਦੀ ਜ਼ਹਰ ਵਧ-ਫੁੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ (ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਉਹੀ ਬਚਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ) ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਗਰੁੜ-ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ।
ਹਾਥ ਦੇਇ ਰਾਖਿਓ ਕਰਿ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਜਿਉ ਜਲ ਕਮਲਾ ਅਲਿਪਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
haath day-ay raakhi-o kar apunaa ji-o jal kamlaa alipaaree. ||1||
Extending support, whom God has saved as His own, he remains detached from the Maya like a lotus remains uneffected from the water surrounding it. ||1||
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਬਚਾ ਲਿਆ , ਉਹ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਇਉਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਕੌਲ ਫੁੱਲ ॥੧॥
ਹਉ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਿਛੁ ਮੈ ਕਿਆ ਹੋਸਾ ਸਭ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਕਲ ਧਾਰੀ ॥
ha-o naahee kichh mai ki-aa hosaa sabh tum hee kal Dhaaree.
I am nothing, what can I be? O’ God! You alone hold all Powers.
ਮੈਂ ਕੁਝ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ। ਮੈਂ ਕੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ? ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਕੇਵਲ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਭਾਗਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਛੈ ਰਾਖੁ ਸੰਤ ਸਦਕਾਰੀ ॥੨॥੨॥੨੫॥
naanak bhaag pari-o har paachhai raakh sant sadkaaree. ||2||2||25||
O’ Nanak! say, O’ God! I have hastened to the refuge of Your saints, please save me for the sake of Your saints. ||2||2||25||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ, ਆਖ, ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਮੈਂ ਭੱਜ ਕੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆ ਹਾਂ, ਸੰਤ-ਸਰਨ ਦਾ ਸਦਕਾ ਮੇਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰ ॥੨॥੨॥੨੫॥

Raag Sarang, Fifth Guru:
ਅਬ ਮੋਹਿ ਸਰਬ ਉਪਾਵ ਬਿਰਕਾਤੇ ॥
ab mohi sarab upaav birkaatay.
I have now abandoned all efforts,
ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀਲੇ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ,
ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਏਕਸੁ ਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਗਾਤੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
karan kaaran samrath su-aamee har aykas tay mayree gaatay. ||1|| rahaa-o.
because I can attain emancipation only through Your grace: O’ my Master-God! You are an all-powerful Creator. ||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਮੂਲ ਹਰੀ! ਹੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਗਤੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਦੇਖੇ ਨਾਨਾ ਰੂਪ ਬਹੁ ਰੰਗਾ ਅਨ ਨਾਹੀ ਤੁਮ ਭਾਂਤੇ ॥
daykhay naanaa roop baho rangaa an naahee tum bhaaNtay.
O’ God! I have seen myriads of beautiful and colorful forms, but none is like You.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਰੰਗ ਵੇਖ ਲਏ ਹਨ, ਤੇਰੇ ਵਰਗਾ (ਸੋਹਣਾ) ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਦੇਂਹਿ ਅਧਾਰੁ ਸਰਬ ਕਉ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਸੁਖਦਾਤੇ ॥੧॥
dayNhi aDhaar sarab ka-o thaakur jee-a paraan sukh-daatay. ||1||
O’ Master-God, the giver of life, breath and inner peace, You provide support to all the beings. ||1||
ਹੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ! ਹੇ ਜਿੰਦ ਦਾਤੇ! ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਦਾਤੇ! ਹੇ ਸੁਖਦਾਤੇ! ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਆਸਰਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੧॥
ਭ੍ਰਮਤੌ ਭ੍ਰਮਤੌ ਹਾਰਿ ਜਉ ਪਰਿਓ ਤਉ ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਚਰਨ ਪਰਾਤੇ ॥
bharmatou bharmatou haar ja-o pari-o ta-o gur mil charan paraatay.
When I got exhausted after wandering around (for inner peace), then meeting the Guru, I realized the worth of God’s Name
ਭਟਕਦਿਆਂ ਭਟਕਦਿਆਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਥੱਕ ਗਿਆ, ਤਦੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਦਰ ਪਛਾਣ ਲਈ।
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਮੈ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਇਹ ਸੂਖਿ ਬਿਹਾਨੀ ਰਾਤੇ ॥੨॥੩॥੨੬॥
kaho naanak mai sarab sukh paa-i-aa ih sookh bihaanee raatay. ||2||3||26||
O’ Nanak! say, I have realized God, the giver of total peace and my life is passing in peace. ||2||3||26||
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ (ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੀ) ਰਾਤ ਸੁਖ ਵਿਚ ਬੀਤ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੩॥੨੬॥

Raag Sarang, Fifth Guru:
ਅਬ ਮੋਹਿ ਲਬਧਿਓ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਟੇਕਾ ॥
ab mohi labDhi-o hai har taykaa.
Now I have found the support of God,
ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ,
ਗੁਰ ਦਇਆਲ ਭਏ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ਅੰਧੁਲੈ ਮਾਣਿਕੁ ਦੇਖਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
gur da-i-aal bha-ay sukh-daa-ee anDhulai maanik daykhaa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
the bliss-giving Guru has become gracious and I, who was spiritually ignorant, have realized the jewel-like precious Name of God. ||1||Pause||
ਜਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ (ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ) ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਮੈਂ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਨੇ ਨਾਮ-ਮੋਤੀ ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਕਾਟੇ ਅਗਿਆਨ ਤਿਮਰ ਨਿਰਮਲੀਆ ਬੁਧਿ ਬਿਗਾਸ ਬਿਬੇਕਾ ॥
kaatay agi-aan timar nirmalee-aa buDh bigaas bibaykaa.
The darkness of spiritual ignorance has vanished, my intellect has become immaculate and the discerning sense has enlightened me.
ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਲੋਂ ਬੇ-ਸਮਝੀ ਦੇ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਕੱਟੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਮੇਰੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਚੰਗੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਦੀ ਪਰਖ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਪਰਕਾਸ਼ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਉ ਜਲ ਤਰੰਗ ਫੇਨੁ ਜਲ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਸੇਵਕ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਭਏ ਏਕਾ ॥੧॥
ji-o jal tarang fayn jal ho-ee hai sayvak thaakur bha-ay aykaa. ||1||
just as the waves and foam in water become water, similarly God’s devotee and the Master-God have become one. ||1||
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਹਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਝੱਗ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਪਾਣੀ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਇਕ-ਰੂਪ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
ਜਹ ਤੇ ਉਠਿਓ ਤਹ ਹੀ ਆਇਓ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਏਕੈ ਏਕਾ ॥
jah tay uthi-o tah hee aa-i-o sabh hee aykai aykaa.
The soul merges back in God from where it originated; this entire creation is the expanse created by God.
ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਇਹ ਜੀਵ ਉਪਜਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਲੀਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਹੀ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਖੇਲ-ਪਸਾਰਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਆਇਓ ਸ੍ਰਬ ਠਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਪਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਸਮਕਾ ॥੨॥੪॥੨੭॥
naanak darisat aa-i-o sarab thaa-ee paraanpatee har samkaa. ||2||4||27||
O’ Nanak, God, the Master of life is visible uniformly pervading everywhere. ||2||4||27||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹਰੀ ਸਭਨੀਂ ਥਾਈਂ ਇਕ-ਸਮਾਨ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਦਿੱਸ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੪॥੨੭॥

ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਏਕੈ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਮਾਂਗੈ ॥
mayraa man aykai hee pari-a maaNgai.
My mind craves only for my beloved God
ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਦਰਸਨ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪੇਖਿ ਆਇਓ ਸਰਬ ਥਾਨ ਦੇਸ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਰੋਮ ਨ ਸਮਸਰਿ ਲਾਗੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
paykh aa-i-o sarab thaan days pari-a rom na samsar laagai. ||1|| rahaa-o.
I have looked into all places and countries, but no one seems even a little bit like my beloved God. ||1||Pause||
ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਸਾਰੇ ਥਾਂ ਵੇਖ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ, ਪਰ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਇਕ ਰੋਮ ਦੀ ਭੀ ਬਰਾਬਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਮੈ ਨੀਰੇ ਅਨਿਕ ਭੋਜਨ ਬਹੁ ਬਿੰਜਨ ਤਿਨ ਸਿਉ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਨ ਕਰੈ ਰੁਚਾਂਗੈ ॥
mai neeray anik bhojan baho binjan tin si-o darisat na karai ruchaaNgai.
I display innumerable dainty dishes, but my mind doesn’t even look at and show any interest in these.
ਮੈਂ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਭੋਜਨ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਸੁਆਦਲੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਪਰੋਸ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ, (ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਲ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ, (ਇਸ ਦੀ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਲ ਕੋਈ ਰੁਚੀ ਨਹੀਂ।
ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਚਾਹੈ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਮੁਖਿ ਟੇਰੈ ਜਿਉ ਅਲਿ ਕਮਲਾ ਲੋਭਾਂਗੈ ॥੧॥
har ras chaahai pari-a pari-a mukh tayrai ji-o al kamlaa lobhaaNgai. ||1||
Just as a bumble-bee craves for the lotus flower, similarly my mind wants the elixir of God’s Name, and my mouth keeps uttering God’s Name. ||1||
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਭੌਰਾ ਕੌਲ ਫੁੱਲ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਲਲਚਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਿਵੇਂ (ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਦੇ ਨਾਮ) ਦਾ ਸੁਆਦ (ਹੀ) ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ‘ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!’ ਹੀ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
