ਵਿਚਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਸੇਵਾ ਥਾਇ ਨ ਪਾਏ ॥
vich ha-umai sayvaa thaa-ay na paa-ay.
Any service performed with egotistical pride is not approved by God.
ਹਉਮੈ-ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਪਰਵਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ,
ਜਨਮਿ ਮਰੈ ਫਿਰਿ ਆਵੈ ਜਾਏ ॥
janam marai fir aavai jaa-ay.
Such a person continues to go through the cycle of birth and death.
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਤਾਂ ਸਗੋਂ) ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸੋ ਤਪੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਾਈ ਸੇਵਾ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਣੀ ਹੇ ॥੧੧॥
so tap pooraa saa-ee sayvaa jo har mayray man bhaanee hay. ||11||
Only that penance or devotional worship is perfect which is pleasing to my God.||11||
ਉਹੀ ਹੈ ਪੂਰਾ ਤਪ, ਉਹੀ ਹੈ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ, ਜਿਹੜੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧੧॥
ਹਉ ਕਿਆ ਗੁਣ ਤੇਰੇ ਆਖਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥
ha-o ki-aa gun tayray aakhaa su-aamee.
O my Master, which of your virtues should I describe?
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਗੁਣ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਰਾਂ?
ਤੂ ਸਰਬ ਜੀਆ ਕਾ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥
too sarab jee-aa kaa antarjaamee.
You know the inner thoughts of all living beings
ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਹਉ ਮਾਗਉ ਦਾਨੁ ਤੁਝੈ ਪਹਿ ਕਰਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਖਾਣੀ ਹੇ ॥੧੨॥
ha-o maaga-o daan tujhai peh kartay har an-din naam vakhaanee hay. ||12||
O’ God, I ask for this gift from you, that I may always recite your Name. ||12||
ਹੇ ਕਰਤਾਰ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਇਹ ਦਾਨ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ ॥੧੨॥
ਕਿਸ ਹੀ ਜੋਰੁ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਬੋਲਣ ਕਾ ॥
kis hee jor ahaNkaar bolan kaa.
Some egotistically feel the power of being good orators,
ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਚੰਗਾ ਬੋਲ ਸਕਣ ਦੇ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਤਾਣ ਹੈ।
ਕਿਸ ਹੀ ਜੋਰੁ ਦੀਬਾਨ ਮਾਇਆ ਕਾ ॥
kis hee jor deebaan maa-i-aa kaa.
Some feel the power of their worldly wealth,
ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਦਾ ਤਾਣ ਹੈ।
ਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਟੇਕ ਧਰ ਅਵਰ ਨ ਕਾਈ ਤੂ ਕਰਤੇ ਰਾਖੁ ਮੈ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ਹੇ ॥੧੩॥
mai har bin tayk Dhar avar na kaa-ee too kartay raakh mai nimaanee hay. ||13||
But, except for God, I do not depend on any other support; O’ Creator, You Yourself save me, the humble one. ||13||
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਆਸਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੋਈ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ। ਹੇ ਕਰਤਾਰ! ਮੇਰੀ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਕਰ ॥੧੩॥
ਨਿਮਾਣੇ ਮਾਣੁ ਕਰਹਿ ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵੈ ॥
nimaanay maan karahi tuDh bhaavai.
O’ God! It pleases you to restore the honor of the weak and humble.
ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਤੂੰ ਨਿਮਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਮਾਣ ਹੈਂ। ਜੋ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਤੂੰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਹੋਰ ਕੇਤੀ ਝਖਿ ਝਖਿ ਆਵੈ ਜਾਵੈ ॥
hor kaytee jhakh jhakh aavai jaavai.
Many others argue with your commands and continue in the cycle of birth and death.
(ਤੇਰੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਤੋਂ ਲਾਂਭੇ ਜਾਣ ਦਾ ਜਤਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ) ਬੇਅੰਤ ਲੁਕਾਈ ਖ਼ੁਆਰ ਹੋ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਨ ਕਾ ਪਖੁ ਕਰਹਿ ਤੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਊਪਰਿ ਗਲ ਤੁਧੁ ਆਣੀ ਹੇ ॥੧੪॥
jin kaa pakh karahi too su-aamee tin kee oopar gal tuDh aanee hay. ||14||
O’ Master! whose side You take, their word You hold above all.||14||
ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਤੂੰ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪੱਖ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਮੰਨੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧੪॥
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਿਨੀ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
har har naam jinee sadaa Dhi-aa-i-aa.
Those who have always lovingly remembered God’s Name,
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ,
ਤਿਨੀ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਪਰਮ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
tinee gur parsaad param pad paa-i-aa.
they have been blessed with the highest spiritual status by the Guru’s grace.
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਦਰਜਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ।
ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਤਿਨਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਬਿਨੁ ਸੇਵਾ ਪਛੋਤਾਣੀ ਹੇ ॥੧੫॥
jin har sayvi-aa tin sukh paa-i-aa bin sayvaa pachhotaanee hay. ||15||
One who has lovingly remembered God is blessed with inner peace; all those who do not remember God, regret. ||15||
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੁਖ ਮਾਣਿਆ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਲੁਕਾਈ ਪਛੁਤਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧੫॥
ਤੂ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਵਰਤਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਗੰਨਾਥੁ ॥
too sabh meh varteh har jagannaath.
O’ God, you are the Master of this world, You are present in all.
ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਤੂੰ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਨਾਥ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈਂ।
ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਜਪੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਹਾਥੁ ॥
so har japai jis gur mastak haath.
He alone, who has the blessing of the Guru, recites God’s Name.
ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਹੱਥ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਿ ਪਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਪੀ ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਦਾਸੁ ਦਸਾਣੀ ਹੇ ॥੧੬॥੨॥
har kee saran pa-i-aa har jaapee jan naanak daas dasaanee hay. ||16||2||
I have entered the protection of God and I recite His Name; devotee Nanak is the servant of his devotees. ||16||2||
(ਮੈਂ ਭੀ) ਹਰੀ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਭੀ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਾਸ ਹੈ ॥੧੬॥੨॥

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik-oNkaar satgur parsaad.
One eternal God, realized by the grace of the True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਲਾ ਉਪਾਇ ਧਰੀ ਜਿਨਿ ਧਰਣਾ ॥
kalaa upaa-ay Dharee jin Dharnaa.
God, after creating His own power, has created this earth,
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ (ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਸਾਜੀ ਹੈ,
ਗਗਨੁ ਰਹਾਇਆ ਹੁਕਮੇ ਚਰਣਾ ॥
gagan rahaa-i-aa hukmay charnaa.
and has supported the sky with the force of His command;
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਆਸਰਾ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਥੰਮ੍ਹ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ,
ਅਗਨਿ ਉਪਾਇ ਈਧਨ ਮਹਿ ਬਾਧੀ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਰਾਖੈ ਭਾਈ ਹੇ ॥੧॥
agan upaa-ay eeDhan meh baaDhee so parabh raakhai bhaa-ee hay. ||1||
and who created fire and bound it in wood, that same God protects all living things. ||1||
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਅੱਗ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਕੜਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ) ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਕਉ ਰਿਜਕੁ ਸੰਬਾਹੇ ॥
jee-a jant ka-o rijak sambaahay.
God provides sustenance to all living beings and creatures.
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਜ਼ਕ ਅਪੜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥ ਆਪਾਹੇ ॥
karan kaaran samrath aapaahay.
He himself has the power to do or cause everything and He Himself is detached from materialism.
ਜੋ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਬ-ਸ਼ਕਤੀਵਾਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਵਿਚਰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਥਾਪਿ ਉਥਾਪਨਹਾਰਾ ਸੋਈ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਹਾਈ ਹੇ ॥੨॥
khin meh thaap uthaapanhaaraa so-ee tayraa sahaa-ee hay. ||2||
God who can establish and destroy anything in an instant, He himself is your constant help and support. ||2||
ਜੋ ਇਕ ਛਿਨ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ) ਤੇਰਾ ਭੀ ਮਦਦਗਾਰ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਮਾਤ ਗਰਭ ਮਹਿ ਜਿਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਿਆ ॥
maat garabh meh jin partipaali-aa.
He, who nurtured you in your mother’s womb,
ਜਿਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੇਟ ਵਿਚ (ਤੇਰੀ) ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕੀਤੀ,
ਸਾਸਿ ਗ੍ਰਾਸਿ ਹੋਇ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਮਾਲਿਆ ॥
saas garaas ho-ay sang samaali-aa.
Staying with you, He always protected you, with your every breath and morsel.
ਤੇਰੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਗਿਰਾਹੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰਾ ਸੰਗੀ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ,
ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਜਪੀਐ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਵਡੀ ਜਿਸੁ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਹੇ ॥੩॥
sadaa sadaa japee-ai so pareetam vadee jis vadi-aa-ee hay. ||3||
Lovingly remember the beloved God forever, whose glory is so great. ||3||
ਜਿਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਇਤਨੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਜਪਣਾ Heਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਸੁਲਤਾਨ ਖਾਨ ਕਰੇ ਖਿਨ ਕੀਰੇ ॥
sultaan khaan karay khin keeray.
God reduces kings and chieftains to paupers like lowly worms, in an instant.
ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਖ਼ਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਛਿਨ ਵਿਚ ਕੀੜੇ (ਕੰਗਾਲ) ਬਣਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਗਰੀਬ ਨਿਵਾਜਿ ਕਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੀਰੇ ॥
gareeb nivaaj karay parabh meeray.
He honors the poor and makes them wealthy.
ਗ਼ਰੀਬਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚੇ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਅਮੀਰ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਗਰਬ ਨਿਵਾਰਣ ਸਰਬ ਸਧਾਰਣ ਕਿਛੁ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹੀ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਹੇ ॥੪॥
garab nivaaran sarab saDhaaran kichh keemat kahee na jaa-ee hay. ||4||
He eradicates ego and is the support of all; His worth cannot be estimated.||4||
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ(ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ) ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ,ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਭ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੪॥
ਸੋ ਪਤਿਵੰਤਾ ਸੋ ਧਨਵੰਤਾ ॥
so pativantaa so Dhanvantaa.
That person alone is worthy of honor, he alone is truly wealthy,
ਉਹੀ (ਅਸਲ) ਇੱਜ਼ਤ-ਦਾਰ ਹੈ ਉਹੀ (ਅਸਲ) ਧਨਾਢ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਸੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਵੰਤਾ ॥
jis man vasi-aa har bhagvantaa
In whose mind manifests the Master-God.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਹਰੀ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੁਤ ਬੰਧਪ ਭਾਈ ਜਿਨਿ ਇਹ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਉਪਾਈ ਹੇ ॥੫॥
maat pitaa sut banDhap bhaa-ee jin ih sarisat upaa-ee hay. ||5||
God who has created this universe, is mother, father, child, relative and brother.
ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਹੈ ਮਾਂ ਪਿਉ, ਪੁੱਤਰ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰ ਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਨਬੰਧੀ) ॥੫॥
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਆਏ ਸਰਣਾ ਭਉ ਨਹੀ ਕਰਣਾ ॥
parabh aa-ay sarnaa bha-o nahee karnaa.
Having entered into God’s protection, there is no need to fear anything,
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਕਿਸਮ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ।
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਨਿਹਚਉ ਹੈ ਤਰਣਾ ॥
saaDhsangat nihcha-o hai tarnaa.
One definitely swims across the world ocean of vices by staying in the company of the Guru.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਰਿਹਾਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ (ਸਾਰੇ ਡਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਪਾਰ-ਉਤਾਰਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਮਨ ਬਚ ਕਰਮ ਅਰਾਧੇ ਕਰਤਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਦੇ ਸਜਾਈ ਹੇ ॥੬॥
man bach karam araaDhay kartaa tis naahee kaday sajaa-ee hay. ||6||
One who lovingly remembers the Creator though his mind, word, and action will never suffer punishment.||6||
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਦਾ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਕੋਈ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੋਹ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੬॥
ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਮਨ ਤਨ ਮਹਿ ਰਵਿਆ ॥
gun niDhaan man tan meh ravi-aa.
One who enshrines God, the treasure of virtues, within his mind and body,
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਤਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਕੀ ਜੋਨਿ ਨ ਭਵਿਆ ॥
janam maran kee jon na bhavi-aa
Does not wander in the cycle of birth and death.
ਉਹ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਭਟਕਦਾ।
ਦੂਖ ਬਿਨਾਸ ਕੀਆ ਸੁਖਿ ਡੇਰਾ ਜਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਰਹੇ ਆਘਾਈ ਹੇ ॥੭॥
dookh binaas kee-aa sukh dayraa jaa taripat rahay aaghaa-ee hay. ||7||
His troubles are destroyed, he is at peace within and remains fully satisfied and content. ||7||
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਬਣਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ (ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਵਲੋਂ) ਪੂਰਨ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਰੱਜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੭॥
ਮੀਤੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਸੋਈ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥
meet hamaaraa so-ee su-aamee.
That Master-God alone is our true friend.
ਉਹੀ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅਸਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ (ਅਸਲ) ਮਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ।
