ਨਾਨਕ ਸੇ ਦਰਿ ਸੋਭਾਵੰਤੇ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਪੁਨੈ ਕੀਓ ॥੧॥
naanak say dar sobhaavantay jo parabh apunai kee-o. ||1||
O’ Nanak, those whom God has made His own, are honored in His presence. ||1||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਬੰਦੇ ਸੋਭਾ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਹਰਿਚੰਦਉਰੀ ਚਿਤ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਸਖੀਏ ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਦ੍ਰੁਮ ਛਾਇਆ ॥
harichand-uree chit bharam sakhee-ay marig tarisnaa darum chhaa-i-aa.
O’ my friend, Maya is an illusion of mind like an imaginary city in the sky, or a mirage in a desert and the transitory shade of a tree.
ਹੇ ਸਹੇਲੀਏ! ਇਹ ਮਾਇਆ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਹਵਾਈ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ, ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਣ ਦਾ ਸਾਧਨ ਹੈ, ਠਗ-ਨੀਰਾ ਹੈ, ਰੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਛਾਂ ਹੈ।
ਚੰਚਲਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਚਾਲਤੀ ਸਖੀਏ ਅੰਤਿ ਤਜਿ ਜਾਵਤ ਮਾਇਆ ॥
chanchal sang na chaaltee sakhee-ay ant taj jaavat maa-i-aa.
O’ my friend, this Maya is mercurial in nature; it does not accompany any one and in the end it abandons you.
ਕਦੇ ਭੀ ਇੱਕ ਥਾਂ ਨਾਹ ਟਿਕ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਇਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੀ, ਇਹ ਆਖ਼ਰ ਨੂੰ (ਸਾਥ) ਛੱਡ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਰਸਿ ਭੋਗਣ ਅਤਿ ਰੂਪ ਰਸ ਮਾਤੇ ਇਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਸੂਖੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
ras bhogan at roop ras maatay in sang sookh na paa-i-aa.
Spiritual peace is not obtained in the company of such things such as enjoying worldly relishes, or remaining intoxicated in pleasures of beauty.
ਸੁਆਦ ਨਾਲ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਭੋਗਣੇ, ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਰੂਪਾਂ ਤੇ ਰਸਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਰਹਿਣਾ-ਹੇ ਸਖੀਏ! ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭਦਾ।
ਧੰਨਿ ਧੰਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਧ ਜਨ ਸਖੀਏ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਨੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥੨॥
Dhan Dhan har saaDh jan sakhee-ay naanak jinee naam Dhi-aa-i-aa. ||2||
O’ Nanak, immensely blessed are the saints of God who have meditated on Naam with loving devotion. ||2||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਹੇ ਸਹੇਲੀਏ! ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਜਾਇ ਬਸਹੁ ਵਡਭਾਗਣੀ ਸਖੀਏ ਸੰਤਾ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਮਾਈਐ ॥
jaa-ay bashu vadbhaagnee sakhee-ay santaa sang samaa-ee-ai.
O’ my fortunate friend, go and dwell in the company of saints; yes, we should always remain in the company of saints.
ਹੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਹੇਲੀਏ! ਜਾ ਕੇ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਕਰ। ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਟਿਕਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਤਹ ਦੂਖ ਨ ਭੂਖ ਨ ਰੋਗੁ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈਐ ॥
tah dookh na bhookh na rog bi-aapai charan kamal liv laa-ee-ai.
There, in the company of saints, neither sorrows nor worldly desires and afflictions affect us; in that company we should attune our mind to God’s immaculate Name.
ਉਥੇ ਟਿਕਿਆਂ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ, ਕੋਈ ਰੋਗ ਆਦਿਕ-ਇਹ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ। (ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਰਤ ਜੋੜਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਤਹ ਜਨਮ ਨ ਮਰਣੁ ਨ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣਾ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਸਰਣੀ ਪਾਈਐ ॥
tah janam na maran na aavan jaanaa nihchal sarnee paa-ee-ai.
In the company of saints, there is no birth, death, or reincarnation and the mind remains spiritually stable; therefore, we should remain in God’s refuge.
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਿਹਾਂ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਗੇੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਿਆਪਦਾ, ਮਨ ਦੀ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸੋ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਪਏ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਬਿਛੋਹੁ ਨ ਮੋਹੁ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਏਕੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥੩॥
paraym bichhohu na moh bi-aapai naanak har ayk Dhi-aa-ee-ai. ||3||
O’ Nanak, (in the company of saints), neither the worldly attachments nor the pangs of separation from God can afflict us ; instead, there we meditate on God alone. ||3|
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦੀ ਅਣਹੋਂਦ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ-ਇਹ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ। ਸਤ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਧਾਰਿ ਮਨੁ ਬੇਧਿਆ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਰਤੜੇ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ॥
darisat Dhaar man bayDhi-aa pi-aaray rat-rhay sahj subhaa-ay.
O’ dear God, bestowing your mercy, those whose minds You have firmly attached to Your Name, they intuitively remain imbued with Your love.
ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ)! ਮੇਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰੋ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ, ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿਚ, ਸਦਾ ਰੰਗੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਸੇਜ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਅਨਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ॥
sayj suhaavee sang mil pareetam anad mangal gun gaa-ay.
O’ dear God, upon realizing You, their heart becomes blissfully delighted ; they sing the joyful hymns of Your praises and they remain in ecstasy.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ! ਤੇਰੇ (ਚਰਨਾਂ) ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ-ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਗਾ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਖੀ ਸਹੇਲੀ ਰਾਮ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੀ ਮਨ ਤਨ ਇਛ ਪੁਜਾਏ ॥
sakhee sahaylee raam rang raatee man tan ichh pujaa-ay.
Those saintly friends who remain imbued with the love of God, He fulfills every wish of their mind and body.
ਜੇਹੜੀਆਂ (ਸਤਸੰਗੀ) ਸਹੇਲੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੀਆਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਤਨ ਦੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਇੱਛਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਅਚਰਜੁ ਅਚਰਜ ਸਿਉ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਕਹਣਾ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਜਾਏ ॥੪॥੨॥੫॥
naanak achraj achraj si-o mili-aa kahnaa kachhoo na jaa-ay. ||4||2||5||
O’ Nanak, their wondrously elevated soul gets united with the wondrous prime soul of God; such a state cannot be described. ||4||2||5||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ (ਉੱਚੀ ਹੋ ਚੁਕੀ) ਜਿੰਦ ਅਚਰਜ-ਰੂਪ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ (ਇਉਂ) ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ (ਉਸ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਦਾ) ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੪॥੨॥੫॥

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

One eternal God, realized by the grace of the True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਏਕ ਰੂਪ ਸਗਲੋ ਪਾਸਾਰਾ ॥
ayk roop saglo paasaaraa.
This entire expanse of the universe is a manifestation of the one God.
ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ-ਖਿਲਾਰਾ ਉਸ ਇੱਕ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਹੀ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ) ਰੂਪ ਹਨ।
ਆਪੇ ਬਨਜੁ ਆਪਿ ਬਿਉਹਾਰਾ ॥੧॥
aapay banaj aap bi-uhaaraa. ||1||
God Himself is the trade, and He Himself is the trader. ||1||
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਵਣਜ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਵਣਜ ਵਿਹਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਐਸੋ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਬਿਰਲੋ ਈ ਪਾਏ ॥
aiso gi-aan birlo ee paa-ay.
It is only a very rare person who is blessed with such spiritual wisdom,
ਇਹ ਸੂਝ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਜਤ ਜਤ ਜਾਈਐ ਤਤ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਾਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jat jat jaa-ee-ai tat daristaa-ay. ||1|| rahaa-o.
that wherever we go, we see God pervading there. ||1||Pause||
ਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਜਿਸ ਪਾਸੇ ਚਲੇ ਜਾਈਏ, ਹਰ ਪਾਸੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਨਜ਼ਰੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਅਨਿਕ ਰੰਗ ਨਿਰਗੁਨ ਇਕ ਰੰਗਾ ॥
anik rang nirgun ik rangaa.
God manifests Himself in many forms and yet, detached from all, He continuously pervades everywhere.
ਸਦਾ ਇਕ-ਰੰਗ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਪੇ ਜਲੁ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਤਰੰਗਾ ॥੨॥
aapay jal aap hee tarangaa. ||2||
God Himself is the water, and He Himself is the waves. ||2||
ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਉਠ ਰਹੀਆਂ) ਲਹਿਰਾਂ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮੰਦਰੁ ਆਪਹਿ ਸੇਵਾ ॥
aap hee mandar aapeh sayvaa.
God Himself is the temple, and He Himself is the devotional worship.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮੰਦਰ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਹੈ,
ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪੂਜਾਰੀ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਦੇਵਾ ॥੩॥
aap hee poojaaree aap hee dayvaa. ||3||
God Himself is the worshipper, and He Himself is the idol. ||3||
ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪੁਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ) ਦੇਵਤਾ ਹੈ. ॥੩॥
ਆਪਹਿ ਜੋਗ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜੁਗਤਾ ॥
aapeh jog aap hee jugtaa.
O’ my friend, God Himself is the Yogi, and Himself is the way to His union.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜੋਗੀ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜੋਗ ਦੇ ਸਾਧਨ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਮੁਕਤਾ ॥੪॥੧॥੬॥
naanak kay parabh sad hee muktaa. ||4||1||6||
In spite of pervading in all beings, Nanak’s God is always detached. ||4||1||6||
(ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਭੀ) ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧॥੬॥

ਆਪਿ ਉਪਾਵਨ ਆਪਿ ਸਧਰਨਾ ॥
aap upaavan aap saDharnaa.
God Himself is the Creator and Himself the supporter of His creations.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਸਭ ਨੂੰ) ਸਹਾਰਾ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਪਿ ਕਰਾਵਨ ਦੋਸੁ ਨ ਲੈਨਾ ॥੧॥
aap karaavan dos na lainaa. ||1||
God Himself causes all to act, but He takes no blame on Himself for their actions. ||1||
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਕੰਮ ਕਰਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਇਹਨਾਂ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦਾ) ਦੋਸ਼ ਆਪਣੇ ਉਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੈਂਦਾ ॥੧॥
ਆਪਨ ਬਚਨੁ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਕਰਨਾ ॥
aapan bachan aap hee karnaa.
God Himself issues the command, and He Himself carries it out.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣਾ ਬੋਲ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬੋਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ) ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਉਸ ਬੋਲ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕੰਮ) ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਪਨ ਬਿਭਉ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਰਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
aapan bibha-o aap hee jarnaa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
God Himself is the splendor and the bearer of this glory. ||1||Pause||
ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਤੇਜ਼ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਹਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ (ਉਸ ਦਾ ਤੇਜ਼ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਝੱਲਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ) ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮਸਟਿ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬੁਲਨਾ ॥
aap hee masat aap hee bulnaa.
God Himself is the one who remains silent, and He Himself is the speaker.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮੋਨਧਾਰੀ ਹੈ,ਅਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਬੋਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਪ ਹੀ ਅਛਲੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਛਲਨਾ ॥੨॥
aap hee achhal na jaa-ee chhalnaa. ||2||
God Himself is not influenced by Maya; therefore, He cannot be deceived by Maya. ||2||
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠਾ) ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਹੈ, ਮਾਇਆ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਛਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ ॥੨॥
ਆਪ ਹੀ ਗੁਪਤ ਆਪਿ ਪਰਗਟਨਾ ॥
aap hee gupat aap pargatnaa.
God Himself is hidden in everyone, and yet He Himself is manifested in His creation.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਲੁਕਿਆ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, (ਜਗਤ-ਰਚਨਾ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ) ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਦਿੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਪ ਹੀ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਆਪਿ ਅਲਿਪਨਾ ॥੩॥
aap hee ghat ghat aap alipanaa. ||3||
God Himself is pervading every heart, and yet He is detached from all. ||3||
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, (ਹਰੇਕ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਆਪੇ ਅਵਿਗਤੁ ਆਪ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਚਨਾ ॥
aapay avigat aap sang rachnaa.
God Himself is formless, and yet He is integrated with His creation.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਅਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਆਪਣੀ ਰਚੀ) ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇ ਸਭਿ ਜਚਨਾ ॥੪॥੨॥੭॥
kaho naanak parabh kay sabh jachnaa. ||4||2||7||
Nanak says that all these wonders are created by God Himself. ||4||2||7||
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- (ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਦਿੱਸ ਰਹੇ ਇਹ) ਸਾਰੇ ਕੌਤਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਹਨ ॥੪॥੨॥੭॥
ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Raag Bilaaval, Fifth Guru:
ਭੂਲੇ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਜਿਨਹਿ ਬਤਾਇਆ ॥
bhoolay maarag jineh bataa-i-aa.
One who shows the righteous path to a person who is gone astray from it,
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਸਹੀ ਰਸਤੇ ਤੋਂ ਖੁੰਝੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਸਹੀ ਰਸਤਾ ਦੱਸ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਐਸਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
aisaa gur vadbhaagee paa-i-aa. ||1||
it is only by good fortune that one meets such a Guru who would show the right path to that person. ||1||
ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਸਿਮਰਿ ਮਨਾ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਚਿਤਾਰੇ ॥
simar manaa raam naam chitaaray.
O’ my mind, meditate on God’s Name with full concentration.
ਹੇ (ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ! ਧਿਆਨ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਕਰ।
ਬਸਿ ਰਹੇ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਨ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
bas rahay hirdai gur charan pi-aaray. ||1|| rahaa-o.
But the only person who can meditate on God’s Name is the one who has enshrined in his heart the immaculate words of the Guru. ||1||Pause||
(ਪਰ ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ) ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਵੱਸੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
