ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਰਾਜੁ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਕੇਰਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਰਾਮ ॥
nihchal raaj sadaa har kayraa tis bin avar na ko-ee raam.
God’s command is always permanent; there is no one else equal to Him.
ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਅਟੱਲ ਹੈ । ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਾਬਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ।
ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਸਦਾ ਸਚੁ ਸੋਈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਏਕੋ ਜਾਣਿਆ ॥
tis bin avar na ko-ee sadaa sach so-ee gurmukh ayko jaani-aa.
Yes, there is no one else equal to God, He Himself is of eternal existence and the soul-bride who follows the Guru’s teachings, realizes Him.
ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਉਸ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ। ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਉਸ ਇੱਕ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਬਣਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਧਨ ਪਿਰ ਮੇਲਾਵਾ ਹੋਆ ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ॥
Dhan pir maylaavaa ho-aa gurmatee man maani-aa.
The soul-bride unites with the Husband-God only when her mind accepts this truth (about God) through the Guru’s teachings.
ਜਦੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ) ਗਿੱਝ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਵੈ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥
satgur mili-aa taa har paa-i-aa bin har naavai mukat na ho-ee.
When one meets with the true Guru, then one realizes God; liberation from the worldly bonds is not earned without meditating on God’s Name.
ਜਦੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ,ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਕੰਤੈ ਰਾਵੇ ਮਨਿ ਮਾਨਿਐ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਈ ॥੧॥
naanak kaaman kantai raavay man maanee-ai sukh ho-ee. ||1||
O’ Nanak, the soul-bride enjoys union with the husband-God, remembering Him her mind becomes satiated and spiritual peace prevails in her heart. ||1||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਮਾਣਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਗਿੱਝ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਧਨ ਬਾਲੜੀਏ ਹਰਿ ਵਰੁ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਸੋਈ ਰਾਮ ॥
satgur sayv Dhan baalrhee-ay har var paavahi so-ee raam.
O’ young soul-bride, follow the true Guru’s teachings and you would realize the Husband-God.
ਹੇ ਅੰਞਾਣ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਏ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਕਾਰ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰ, ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਏਂਗੀ।
ਸਦਾ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਫਿਰਿ ਮੈਲਾ ਵੇਸੁ ਨ ਹੋਈ ਰਾਮ ॥
sadaa hoveh sohaaganee fir mailaa vays na ho-ee raam.
You would become eternally united with God and you would never be separated from Him.
ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਖਸਮ-ਵਾਲੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਏਂਗੀ, ਫਿਰ ਕਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਿਛੋੜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਏਗਾ!
ਫਿਰਿ ਮੈਲਾ ਵੇਸੁ ਨ ਹੋਈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬੂਝੈ ਕੋਈ ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਰਿ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ॥
fir mailaa vays na ho-ee gurmukh boojhai ko-ee ha-umai maar pachhaani-aa.
Yes, you would never be separated from the husband-God; only a rare Guru following soul-bride understands it and realizes Him after eradicating her ego.
ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦੱਸੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸਮਝਦੀ ਹੈ (ਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹੋਇਆਂ) ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਕਦੇ ਵਿਛੋੜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ। ਉਹ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ (ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਹਉਮੈ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਕਾਇਮ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਕਰਣੀ ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਵੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਏਕੋ ਜਾਣਿਆ ॥
karnee kaar kamaavai sabad samaavai antar ayko jaani-aa.
Such a soul-bride does righteous deeds, remains absorbed in Guru’s word and realizes God within herself.
ਉਹ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ) ਕਰਨ-ਜੋਗ ਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਪਾਈ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਰਾਵੇ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਾਚੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਹੋਈ ॥
gurmukh parabh raavay din raatee aapnaa saachee sobhaa ho-ee.
The Guru following soul-bride always remembers God with adoration, and is blessed with everlasting glory.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ,ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਪਿਰੁ ਰਾਵੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਈ ॥੨॥
naanak kaaman pir raavay aapnaa rav rahi-aa parabh so-ee. ||2||
O’ Nanak, this way the soul-bride rejoices in the company of her Husband-God, who is pervading everywhere. ||2||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਕਾਰ ਕਰੇ ਧਨ ਬਾਲੜੀਏ ਹਰਿ ਵਰੁ ਦੇਇ ਮਿਲਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥
gur kee kaar karay Dhan baalrhee-ay har var day-ay milaa-ay raam.
O’ young soul-bride, do what the Guru tells you (lovingly remember God), theGuru would get you united with your Husband-God.
ਹੇ ਅੰਞਾਣ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਏ!! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਹੋਈ ਕਾਰ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰ। ਗੁਰੂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥
har kai rang ratee hai kaaman mil pareetam sukh paa-ay raam.
The soul-bride who is imbued with the love of God, attains celestial peace upon realizing her beloved God.
ਜੇਹੜੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਮਿਲਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਏ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਏ ਸਚੁ ਵਰਤੈ ਸਭ ਥਾਈ ॥
mil pareetam sukh paa-ay sach samaa-ay sach vartai sabh thaa-ee.
Yes, she enjoys spiritual peace on realizing her beloved God, and remains absorbed in Him who is pervading everywhere.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਸੁਖ ਮਾਣਦੀ ਹੈ, ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਚਾ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ਕਰੇ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਈ ॥
sachaa seegaar karay din raatee kaaman sach samaa-ee.
The soul-bride always decks herself with the divine virtues and remains absorbed in the love of the eternal God.
ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਇਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਸਿੰਗਾਰ ਉਹ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਕਰੀ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਸਬਦਿ ਪਛਾਤਾ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਲਇਆ ਕੰਠਿ ਲਾਏ ॥
har sukh-daata sabad pachhaataa kaaman la-i-aa kanth laa-ay.
The soul-bride realizes the peace giving God through the Guru’s word, and always lovingly remembers and keeps Him close to her heart.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਗਲ ਨਾਲ ਲਾਈ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ
ਨਾਨਕ ਮਹਲੀ ਮਹਲੁ ਪਛਾਣੈ ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਏ ॥੩॥
naanak mahlee mahal pachhaanai gurmatee har paa-ay. ||3||
O’ Nanak, she recognizes God dwelling in her heart and realizes Him by following the Guru’s teachings. ||3||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਮਹਲ ਲੱਭ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਸਾ ਧਨ ਬਾਲੀ ਧੁਰਿ ਮੇਲੀ ਮੇਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਿ ਮਿਲਾਈ ਰਾਮ ॥
saa Dhan baalee Dhur maylee mayrai parabh aap milaa-ee raam.
God united that young soul-bride with Him who had this union preordained.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਅੰਞਾਣ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਧੁਰੋ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ ਲੇਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਇਆ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜ ਲਿਆ।
ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਘਟਿ ਚਾਨਣੁ ਹੋਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਭ ਥਾਈ ਰਾਮ ॥
gurmatee ghat chaanan ho-aa parabh rav rahi-aa sabh thaa-ee raam.
Through the Guru’s teachings, her mind is illuminated with this divine wisdom that God is pervading everywhere.
ਉਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਚਾਨਣ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਭ ਥਾਈਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ।
ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਭ ਥਾਈ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਈ ਪੂਰਬਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
parabh rav rahi-aa sabh thaa-ee man vasaa-ee poorab likhi-aa paa-i-aa.
She enshrines that all pervading God in her mind, and is thus blessed with what was preordained for her.
ਸਭ ਥਾਈਂ ਵਿਆਪਕਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾ ਲਿਆ, ਪਿਛਲੇ ਜਨਮ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਲੇਖ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ) ਉੱਘੜ ਪਿਆ।
ਸੇਜ ਸੁਖਾਲੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਣੀ ਸਚੁ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ਬਣਾਇਆ ॥
sayj sukhaalee mayray parabh bhaanee sach seegaar banaa-i-aa.
The soul-bride embellished her life with the Name of the eternal God and became pleasing to beloved God and her heart became peaceful.
ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ (ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ) ਸੁਹਜ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ। ਉਹ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਲੱਗਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ-ਸੇਜ ਆਨੰਦ-ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ,
ਕਾਮਣਿ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹਉਮੈ ਮਲੁ ਖੋਈ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਈ ॥
kaaman nirmal ha-umai mal kho-ee gurmat sach samaa-ee.
The soul-bride who merges in God by following the Guru’s teachings, washes off the dirt of ego and becomes immaculate.
ਜੇਹੜੀ ਜੀਵ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹਹਉਮੈ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਪਿ ਮਿਲਾਈ ਕਰਤੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਵੈ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਈ ॥੪॥੩॥੪॥
naanak aap milaa-ee kartai naam navai niDh paa-ee. ||4||3||4||
O’ Nanak, the Creator Himself has united her with Himself, and thus she is blessed with Naam which is like all the treasures of the universe. ||4||3||4||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਕਰਤਾਰ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਲਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ, ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੇ ਨੌ ਹੀ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੩॥੪॥

Raag Soohee, Third Guru:
ਹਰਿ ਹਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖੇ ਪਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥
har haray har gun gaavhu har gurmukhay paa-ay raam.
O’ my friends, always sing praises of God; however God is realized only by following the Guru’s teachings.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਆ ਕਰੋ। (ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਅਨਦਿਨੋ ਸਬਦਿ ਰਵਹੁ ਅਨਹਦ ਸਬਦ ਵਜਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥
andino sabad ravhu anhad sabad vajaa-ay raam.
O’ my friend, always utter praises of God through the Guru’s word, and enjoy the relish of the continuous music of the divine word.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ (ਦੇ ਵਾਜੇ) ਵਜਾ ਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਕਰੋ।
ਅਨਹਦ ਸਬਦ ਵਜਾਏ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਘਰਿ ਆਏ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਨਾਰੀ ॥
anhad sabad vajaa-ay har jee-o ghar aa-ay har gun gaavhu naaree.
One who keeps playing non-stop music of the divine word, realizes God dwelling in his heart; O’ soul-brides, you should also sing praises of God.
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਵਾਜੇ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਵਜਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,ਪ੍ਰਭੂਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।ਹੇ ਜੀਵ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਓ! ਤੁਸੀ ਭੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਇਆ ਕਰੋ।
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਗੁਰ ਆਗੈ ਸਾ ਧਨ ਕੰਤ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥
an-din bhagat karahi gur aagai saa Dhan kant pi-aaree.
The soul-brides whoalwaysperform devotional worship of God through the Guru’s teachings, become dear to the Husband-God.
ਜੇਹੜੀਆਂ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰੀਆਂ ਲੱਗਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਵਸਿਆ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸੇ ਜਨ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਹਾਏ ॥
gur kaa sabad vasi-aa ghat antar say jan sabad suhaa-ay.
Those in whose heart is enshrined the Guru’s word, their life becomes adorned through the Guru’s word.
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵੱਸ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਨ ਘਰਿ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਸੋਹਿਲਾ ਹਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਘਰਿ ਆਏ ॥੧॥
naanak tin ghar sad hee sohilaa har kar kirpaa ghar aa-ay. ||1||
O’ Nanak, a song of joy is always playing in their hearts; bestowing mercy, God becomes manifest in their heart. ||1||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਹੀਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਭਗਤਾ ਮਨਿ ਆਨੰਦੁ ਭਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਹੇ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥
bhagtaa man aanand bha-i-aa har naam rahay liv laa-ay raam.
Bliss prevails in the minds of the devotees because they always remain attuned to God’s Name.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਰਤ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਗੁਰਮੁਖੇ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਆ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥
gurmukhay man nirmal ho-aa nirmal har gun gaa-ay raam.
Their minds become immaculate by singing the immaculate praises of God through the Guru’s word.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਗਾ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਿਰਮਲ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ॥
nirmal gun gaa-ay naam man vasaa-ay har kee amrit banee.
Yes, by singing immaculate praises of God through His ambrosial words, theyenshrine His Name in their hearts.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀਬਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਗਾ ਕੇ,ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਮਨਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਸੇਈ ਜਨ ਨਿਸਤਰੇ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਮਾਣੀ ॥
jinH man vasi-aa say-ee jan nistaray ghat ghat sabad samaanee.
Those within whose minds God is enshrined, swim across the world-ocean of vices; through the Guru’s word they behold Him pervading each and every heart.
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਵੱਸ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।
