ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਧੂਰਿ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਦਾਸੁ ਬਾਛੈ ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਪਰੋਈ ॥੨॥੫॥੩੩॥
tin kee Dhoor naanak daas baachhai jin har naam ridai paro-ee. ||2||5||33||
Therefore, Nanak seeks the humble devotion of those who have enshrined God’s Name in their hearts. ||2||5||33||
ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ (ਭੀ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰੋ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੫॥੩੩॥

Raag Sorath, Fifth Guru:
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਦੂਖ ਨਿਵਾਰੈ ਸੂਕਾ ਮਨੁ ਸਾਧਾਰੈ ॥
janam janam kay dookh nivaarai sookaa man saDhaarai.
The Guru cures and completely removes one’s sufferings of countless births and lend support of Naam to his spiritually withered mind.
ਗੁਰੂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਹਰਿਆਵਲ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਖਣੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਦਰਸਨੁ ਭੇਟਤ ਹੋਤ ਨਿਹਾਲਾ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੈ ॥੧॥
darsan bhaytat hot nihaalaa har kaa naam beechaarai. ||1||
One feels delighted just by beholding the blessed vision of the Guru and starts reflecting on God’s Name. ||1||
ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ (ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਖਿੜ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੋਚ-ਮੰਡਲ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਮੇਰਾ ਬੈਦੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ॥
mayraa baid guroo govindaa.
O’ brother, my spiritual healer is the Guru, the image of God,
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ (ਪੂਰਾ) ਹਕੀਮ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਉਖਧੁ ਮੁਖਿ ਦੇਵੈ ਕਾਟੈ ਜਮ ਕੀ ਫੰਧਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har har naam a-ukhaDh mukh dayvai kaatai jam kee fanDhaa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
who administers the medicine of God’s Name in one’s mouth, which cuts away one’s noose of spiritual death. ||1||Pause||
ਇਹ ਹਕੀਮ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦਵਾਈ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜਮ (ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ) ਦੀ ਫਾਹੀ ਕੱਟ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸਮਰਥ ਪੁਰਖ ਪੂਰਨ ਬਿਧਾਤੇ ਆਪੇ ਕਰਣੈਹਾਰਾ ॥
samrath purakh pooran biDhaatay aapay karnaihaaraa.
O' the Master of all powers, the all pervading and the perfect creator; You Yourself are the doer of all deeds.
ਹੇ ਸਰਬ-ਸ਼ਕਤੀਵਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੇ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ! ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
ਅਪੁਨਾ ਦਾਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਉਬਾਰਿਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮ ਅਧਾਰਾ ॥੨॥੬॥੩੪॥
apunaa daas har aap ubaari-aa naanak naam aDhaaraa. ||2||6||34||
O’ Nanak, God saves His devotee from the noose of spiritual death by getting the support of Naam from the Guru. ||2||6||34||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ (ਵੈਦ-ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਦਿਵਾ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਜਮ ਦੀ ਫਾਹੀ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੨॥੬॥੩੪॥

ਅੰਤਰ ਕੀ ਗਤਿ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਜਾਨੀ ਤੁਝ ਹੀ ਪਾਹਿ ਨਿਬੇਰੋ ॥
antar kee gat tum hee jaanee tujh hee paahi nibayro.
O’ God, only You know the inner state of my mind, and only You can pass the ultimate judgment on me.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੇਰੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ,ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤਮ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਵਸ ਹੈ।
ਬਖਸਿ ਲੈਹੁ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਪਨੇ ਲਾਖ ਖਤੇ ਕਰਿ ਫੇਰੋ ॥੧॥
bakhas laihu saahib parabh apnay laakh khatay kar fayro. ||1||
O’ my God, I have been committing millions of sins and mistakes; deeming me as Your own, please forgive me this time. ||1||
ਮੈਂ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਲੈ ॥੧॥
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀ ਤੂ ਮੇਰੋ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਨੇਰੋ ॥

O’ reverend God, You are my Master and You are always near me.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ! ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈਂ, ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣ ਸਰਣ ਮੋਹਿ ਚੇਰੋ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har charan saran mohi chayro. ||1|| rahaa-o.
O’ God, keep me in Your protection and allow me to be Your devotee. |1||Pause|
ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਣ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਦਾਸ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਬੇਸੁਮਾਰ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਊਚੋ ਗੁਨੀ ਗਹੇਰੋ ॥
baysumaar bay-ant su-aamee oocho gunee gahayro.
O’ my Infinite Master, You are Supreme, Virtuous and Profoundly Deep.
ਹੇ ਬੇਸ਼ੁਮਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ! ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਤੂੰ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਡੂੰਘਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਕਾਟਿ ਸਿਲਕ ਕੀਨੋ ਅਪੁਨੋ ਦਾਸਰੋ ਤਉ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਹਾ ਨਿਹੋਰੋ ॥੨॥੭॥੩੫॥
kaat silak keeno apuno daasro ta-o naanak kahaa nihoro. ||2||7||35||
Nanak says: O’ God, after cutting off the noose of vices, when You make one Your devotee, then that one doesn’t remain indebted to anyone. ||2||7||35||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ) -ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਦੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ) ਫਾਹੀ ਕੱਟ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਦਾਸ ਬਣਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਮੁਥਾਜੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ॥੨॥੭॥੩੫॥

ਭਏ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪਾਏ ॥
bha-ay kirpaal guroo govindaa sagal manorath paa-ay.
When Guru, the embodiment of God becomes merciful to a person then all desires of that person are fulfilled,
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮੁਰਾਦਾਂ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ)
ਅਸਥਿਰ ਭਏ ਲਾਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣੀ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ॥੧॥
asthir bha-ay laag har charnee govind kay gun gaa-ay. ||1||
because by singing praises of God he gets imbued with God’s love and becomes spiritually stable against the attacks of Maya. ||1||
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾ ਗਾ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਲਗਨ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਹੱਲਿਆਂ ਅੱਗੇ) ਡੋਲਣੋਂ ਹਟ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਭਲੋ ਸਮੂਰਤੁ ਪੂਰਾ ॥
bhalo samoorat pooraa.
That perfect moment is auspicious,
ਉਹ ਸਮਾ ਸੁਹਾਵਣਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਹਜ ਆਨੰਦ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਿ ਵਾਜੇ ਅਨਹਦ ਤੂਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
saaNt sahj aanand naam jap vaajay anhad tooraa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
when by meditating on God’s Name, one feels blissful and the never-ending melody of divine music vibrates in one’s heart. ||1||Pause||
ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ, ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ, ਆਨੰਦ ਦੇ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਵਾਜੇ ਵੱਜਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਮਿਲੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਘਰ ਮੰਦਰ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ॥
milay su-aamee pareetam apunay ghar mandar sukh-daa-ee.
The person who has realized his Beloved Master, feels peaceful in his dwelling.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਘਰ-ਘਾਟ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਨ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਗਲੀ ਇਛ ਪੁਜਾਈ ॥੨॥੮॥੩੬॥
har naam niDhaan naanak jan paa-i-aa saglee ichh pujaa-ee. ||2||8||36||
O’ Nanak, one who has received the treasure of God’ Name, all the wishes are fulfilled. ||2||8||36||
ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਮਨੋ-ਕਾਮਨਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੮॥੩੬॥

ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਚਰਨ ਬਸੇ ਰਿਦ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਸੁਭ ਲਖਣ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕੀਨੇ ॥
gur kay charan basay rid bheetar subh lakhan parabh keenay.
The one in whose heart is enshrined the Guru’s immaculate words, God blessed that person with sublime qualities for spiritual success in life.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਵੱਸ ਪਏ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ (ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿਚ) ਸਫਲਤਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੱਛਣ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
ਭਏ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਨਾਮ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਮਨਿ ਚੀਨੇ ॥੧॥
bha-ay kirpaal pooran parmaysar naam niDhaan man cheenay. ||1||
He, on whom the perfect supreme God became kind, recognized the treasures of Naam in his mind. ||1||
ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਟਿਕੇ ਹੋਏ) ਪਛਾਣ ਲਏ ॥੧॥
ਮੇਰੋ ਗੁਰੁ ਰਖਵਾਰੋ ਮੀਤ ॥
mayro gur rakhvaaro meet.
My Guru is my savior and friend.
ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮੇਰਾ ਰਾਖਾ ਹੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ।
ਦੂਣ ਚਊਣੀ ਦੇ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਸੋਭਾ ਨੀਤਾ ਨੀਤ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
doon cha-oonee day vadi-aa-ee sobhaa neetaa neet. ||1|| rahaa-o.
The Guru blesses me with glory which multiplies manifold; and begets me honor day after day. ||1||Pause||
ਉਹ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਦੂਣੀ ਚਉਣੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ (ਸਦਾ ਵਧਦੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ), ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਸੋਭਾ ਦਿਵਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਸਗਲ ਉਧਾਰੇ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਖਣਹਾਰੇ ॥
jee-a jant parabh sagal uDhaaray darsan daykhanhaaray.
God saved all those from the vices who got a glimpse of the Guru and followed his teachings.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲਿਆ।
ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੀ ਅਚਰਜ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੇ ॥੨॥੯॥੩੭॥
gur pooray kee achraj vadi-aa-ee naanak sad balihaaray. ||2||9||37||
O’ Nanak, the perfect Guru’s greatness is wonderful; I am dedicated to the Guru forever. ||2||9||37||
ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਇਤਨਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਦਰਜਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ (ਵੇਖ ਕੇ) ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਮੈਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੨॥੯॥੩੭॥

ਸੰਚਨਿ ਕਰਉ ਨਾਮ ਧਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਥਾਤੀ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰ ॥
sanchan kara-o naam Dhan nirmal thaatee agam apaar.
I amass the immaculate wealth of Naam, which is incomparable and infinite.
ਮੈਂ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਦੌਲਤ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਤਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਵਸਤੂ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਤੇ ਲਾਸਾਨੀ ਹੈ।
ਬਿਲਛਿ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਆਨੰਦ ਸੁਖ ਮਾਣਹੁ ਖਾਇ ਜੀਵਹੁ ਸਿਖ ਪਰਵਾਰ ॥੧॥
bilachh binod aanand sukh maanhu khaa-ay jeevhu sikh parvaar. ||1||
O’ the Guru’s disciples, savor this wealth of Naam, revel in it, delight in it, be happy, enjoy peace and live long. ||1||
ਹੇ ਗੁਰਸਿੱਖੋ! ਤੁਸੀ ਭੀ ਇਹ ਨਾਮ-ਭੋਜਨ ਖਾ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰੋ, ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਚੋਜ ਆਨੰਦ ਸੁਖ ਭੋਗੋ ॥੧॥
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਆਧਾਰ ॥
har kay charan kamal aaDhaar.
I have made the love of God as the anchor of my life.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਕੋਮਲ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ) ਆਸਰਾ (ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ)।
ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਪਾਇਓ ਸਚ ਬੋਹਿਥੁ ਚੜਿ ਲੰਘਉ ਬਿਖੁ ਸੰਸਾਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sant parsaad paa-i-o sach bohith charh langha-o bikh sansaar. ||1|| rahaa-o.
it is by Grace of the Guru that I have found the ever stable ship of God’s Name, which would enable me to cross over the poisonous worldly ocean of vices. ||1||Pause||
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ-ਭਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਭਏ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਪੂਰਨ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਆਪਹਿ ਕੀਨੀ ਸਾਰ ॥
bha-ay kirpaal pooran abhinaasee aapeh keenee saar.
The perfect eternal God has become merciful; He Himself has taken care of me.
ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਖੁਦ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਪੇਖਿ ਪੇਖਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਿਗਸਾਨੋ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਹੀ ਸੁਮਾਰ ॥੨॥੧੦॥੩੮॥
paykh paykh naanak bigsaano naanak naahee sumaar. ||2||10||38||
Nanak is delighted beholding Him again and again: O’ Nanak, He is beyond any estimation. ||2||10||38||

ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਅਪਨੀ ਕਲ ਧਾਰੀ ਸਭ ਘਟ ਉਪਜੀ ਦਇਆ ॥
gur poorai apnee kal Dhaaree sabh ghat upjee da-i-aa.
The perfect Guru has instilled his Power in me, because of which compassion has welled up in me for all the human beings.
ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਪਣੀ (ਅਜੇਹੀ) ਤਾਕਤ ਭਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਦਇਆ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲਿ ਵਡਾਈ ਕੀਨੀ ਕੁਸਲ ਖੇਮ ਸਭ ਭਇਆ ॥੧॥
aapay mayl vadaa-ee keenee kusal khaym sabh bha-i-aa. ||1||
By imbuing me with the love of God, he has blessed me with higher spiritual awareness, and now I am always delighted and blissful. ||1||
ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਉੱਚਤਾ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ, ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਨੰਦ ਹੀ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਮੇਰੈ ਨਾਲਿ ॥

my Perfect Guru is always with me,
