ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਜਪਿ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

and by meditating on the supreme God, I always feel delighted. ||Pause||
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ-ਚਿੱਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ||ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਥਾਨ ਥਨੰਤਰਿ ਜਤ ਕਤ ਪੇਖਉ ਸੋਈ ॥
antar baahar thaan thanantar jat kat paykha-o so-ee.
Now both within and without, in all places, wherever I look, I visualize only Him.
ਹੁਣ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਤੇ ਬਾਹਰ (ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ), ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ, ਮੈਂ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ (ਵੱਸਦਾ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ)।
ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਤਿਸੁ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥੨॥੧੧॥੩੯॥
naanak gur paa-i-o vadbhaagee tis jayvad avar na ko-ee. ||2||11||39||
O’ Nanak, by great good fortune I have met such a Guru, whom nobody can equal. ||2||11||39||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਦਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੧੧॥੩੯॥

Raag Sorath, Fifth Guru:
ਸੂਖ ਮੰਗਲ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਸਹਜ ਧੁਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇ ਚਰਣ ਨਿਹਾਰਿਆ ॥
sookh mangal kali-aan sahj Dhun parabh kay charan nihaari-aa.
Peace, joy, happiness, and a blissful tune of poise wells up in the person who experienced a glimpse of God.
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੁਖ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਆਨੰਦ ਤੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੀ ਰੌ ਚੱਲ ਪਈ।
ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰੈ ਰਾਖਿਓ ਬਾਰਿਕੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਤਾਪੁ ਉਤਾਰਿਆ ॥੧॥
raakhanhaarai raakhi-o baarik satgur taap utaari-aa. ||1||
The Savior has saved the child (Hargovind- son of Guru Arjun Dev Jee) from all problems and the true Guru has eradicated all afflictions. ||1||
ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਤਾਪ (ਦੁੱਖ-ਕਲੇਸ਼) ਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਮਰਥਾ ਵਾਲੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਬਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ (ਵਿਘਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲਿਆ ॥੧॥
ਉਬਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥
ubray satgur kee sarnaa-ee.
They, who seek the true Guru’s refuge, are saved from all troubles in the path of Spiritual living,
ਉਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿਚ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਰੁਕਾਵਟਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ
ਜਾ ਕੀ ਸੇਵ ਨ ਬਿਰਥੀ ਜਾਈ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jaa kee sayv na birthee jaa-ee. rahaa-o.
because devotion to Guru doesn’t go in vain. ||1||Pause||
ਜਿਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੇਵਾ ਖ਼ਾਲੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਘਰ ਮਹਿ ਸੂਖ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਫੁਨਿ ਸੂਖਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਭਏ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥
ghar meh sookh baahar fun sookhaa parabh apunay bha-ay da-i-aalaa.
When God becomes kind and compassionate to a person, peace prevails within as well as outside one’s heart.
ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਦਾ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਬਾਹਰ ਭੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਸੁਖ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,।
ਨਾਨਕ ਬਿਘਨੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਕੋਊ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਹੋਆ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ॥੨॥੧੨॥੪੦॥
naanak bighan na laagai ko-oo mayraa parabh ho-aa kirpaalaa. ||2||12||40||
O’ Nanak, when my God is merciful, then problems do not come in one’s life. ||2||12||40||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ, ਉਸ ਉਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ਹੋਇਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੧੨॥੪੦॥

Raag Sorath, Fifth Guru:
ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਭਇਆ ਮਨਿ ਉਦਮੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਈ ॥
saaDhoo sang bha-i-aa man udam naam ratan jas gaa-ee.
By remaining in the Guru’s company, inspiration wells up in one’s mind and one starts singing praises of jewel-like precious Naam.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਿਹਾਂ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਉੱਦਮ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਮਿਟਿ ਗਈ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਅਨੰਤਾ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਰਿਆ ਭਾਈ ॥੧॥
mit ga-ee chintaa simar anantaa saagar tari-aa bhaa-ee. ||1||
By meditating on the Infinite God, one’s anxiety is removed and one swims across the worldly ocean of vices. ||1||
ਬੇਅੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਹਿਰਦੈ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਚਰਣ ਵਸਾਈ ॥
hirdai har kay charan vasaa-ee.
You should enshrine God’s Name in your heart.
ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਟਿਕਾਈ ਰੱਖ
ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਹਜ ਧੁਨਿ ਉਪਜੀ ਰੋਗਾ ਘਾਣਿ ਮਿਟਾਈ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sukh paa-i-aa sahj Dhun upjee rogaa ghaan mitaa-ee. rahaa-o.
One, who did this, received peace, a sweet divine melody started ringing in his mind, which obliterated the multitude of ailments. ||Pause||
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਭੀ ਇਹ ਉੱਦਮ ਕੀਤਾ, ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ, (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੀ ਰੌ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਈ, (ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਰੋਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਢੇਰ ਮਿਟਾ ਲਏ ||ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਕਿਆ ਗੁਣ ਤੇਰੇ ਆਖਿ ਵਖਾਣਾ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
ki-aa gun tayray aakh vakhaanaa keemat kahan na jaa-ee.
O’ God, which of Your virtues, may I mention and describe? Your worth cannot be described.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੇਹੜੇ ਕੇਹੜੇ ਗੁਣ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਦੱਸਾਂ? ਤੇਰਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ l
ਨਾਨਕ ਭਗਤ ਭਏ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਭਇਆ ਸਹਾਈ ॥੨॥੧੩॥੪੧॥
naanak bhagat bha-ay abhinaasee apunaa parabh bha-i-aa sahaa-ee. ||2||13||41||
O’ Nanak, those devotees who are supported by God, become immortal. ||2||13||41||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਿਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਦਦਗਾਰ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਭਗਤ-ਜਨ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥੧੩॥੪੧॥

ਗਏ ਕਲੇਸ ਰੋਗ ਸਭਿ ਨਾਸੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਪੁਨੈ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ॥
ga-ay kalays rog sabh naasay parabh apunai kirpaa Dhaaree.
Whosoever has been showered with God’s grace, his sufferings have come to an end and all his afflictions have been eradicated.
ਜਿਸ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਮੇਹਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਤੇ ਰੋਗ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਆਰਾਧਹੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪੂਰਨ ਘਾਲ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
aath pahar aaraaDhahu su-aamee pooran ghaal hamaaree. ||1||
Therefore, keep meditating on God at all times, by whose Grace this effort becomes fruitful. ||1||
ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਠੇ ਪਹਿਰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਕਰੋ, ਅਸਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ (ਇਹ) ਮੇਹਨਤ (ਜ਼ਰੂਰ) ਸਫਲ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਤੂ ਸੁਖ ਸੰਪਤਿ ਰਾਸਿ ॥
har jee-o too sukh sampat raas.
O’ reverend God, You are my source of spiritual peace and wealth;
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ! ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਦਾ ਧਨ-ਸਰਮਾਇਆ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਰਾਖਿ ਲੈਹੁ ਭਾਈ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਆਗੈ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
raakh laihu bhaa-ee mayray ka-o parabh aagai ardaas. rahaa-o.
O’ God, I pray to You, please protect me from all doubts and dreads. ||Pause||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ (ਕਲੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਅੰਦੇਸਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲੈ। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੇਰੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਹੀ ਅਰਜ਼ੋਈ ਹੈ ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਜੋ ਮਾਗਉ ਸੋਈ ਸੋਈ ਪਾਵਉ ਅਪਨੇ ਖਸਮ ਭਰੋਸਾ ॥
jo maaga-o so-ee so-ee paava-o apnay khasam bharosaa.
I have so much faith in my Master-God, that I get from Him whatever I ask for.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਉਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉਤੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਇਤਬਾਰ ਬਣ ਚੁਕਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਮਿਟਿਓ ਸਗਲ ਅੰਦੇਸਾ ॥੨॥੧੪॥੪੨॥
kaho naanak gur pooraa bhayti-o miti-o sagal andaysaa. ||2||14||42||
Nanak says, all my fears have been dispelled since I have met my perfect Guru and have followed his teachings. ||2||14||42||
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਚਿੰਤਾ-ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥੧੪॥੪੨॥

ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਸਗਲਾ ਦੂਖੁ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ ॥
simar simar gur satgur apnaa saglaa dookh mitaa-i-aa.
By always meditating on my true Guru, all of my sufferings have been eliminated.
ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਮੈਂ ਸਮੂਹ ਦੁਖੜਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਖਲਾਸੀ ਪਾ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ।
ਤਾਪ ਰੋਗ ਗਏ ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨੀ ਮਨ ਇਛੇ ਫਲ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
taap rog ga-ay gur bachnee man ichhay fal paa-i-aa. ||1||
Just by following the teachings of the Guru, all the ailments and afflictions have vanished, and I have obtained the fruit of my heart’s desire. ||1||
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਬੁਖਾਰ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਬੀਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ-ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਮੇਵੇ ਪਾ ਲਏ ਹਨ।॥੧॥
ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ॥
mayraa gur pooraa sukh-daata.
My Perfect Guru is the bestower of peace and comfort.
ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਭ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੈ, ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪੂਰਨ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
karan kaaran samrath su-aamee pooran purakh biDhaataa. rahaa-o.
The Guru is the embodiment of the all-pervading creator and who is the Cause of causes and all-powerful. ||Pause||
ਗੁਰੂ ਉਸ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਮੂਲ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸਭ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਅਨੰਦ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਏ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥
anand binod mangal gun gaavhu gur naanak bha-ay da-i-aalaa.
O’ Nanak, the Guru has become merciful, sing God’s praises and you will enjoy happiness and celestial peace.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਕਰ, ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਨੰਦ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਸੁਖ ਬਣੇ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ।
ਜੈ ਜੈ ਕਾਰ ਭਏ ਜਗ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਹੋਆ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਰਖਵਾਲਾ ॥੨॥੧੫॥੪੩॥
jai jai kaar bha-ay jag bheetar ho-aa paarbarahm rakhvaalaa. ||2||15||43||
Cheers and congratulations resound throughout the world, the supreme God has become our savior. ||2||15||43||
ਜਿੱਤ ਦੇ ਜੈਕਾਰੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਗੂੰਜਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮੇਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਥੀ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ॥੨॥੧੫॥੪੩॥

ਹਮਰੀ ਗਣਤ ਨ ਗਣੀਆ ਕਾਈ ਅਪਣਾ ਬਿਰਦੁ ਪਛਾਣਿ ॥
hamree ganat na ganee-aa kaa-ee apnaa birad pachhaan.
O’ my friends, God doesn’t take into account our merits or faults, instead He honors His own tradition of forgiving.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅਸਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਮੰਦ-ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਖ਼ਿਆਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੁੱਢ-ਕਦੀਮਾਂ ਦੇ (ਪਿਆਰ ਵਾਲੇ) ਸੁਭਾਉ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਹਾਥ ਦੇਇ ਰਾਖੇ ਕਰਿ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਰੰਗੁ ਮਾਣਿ ॥੧॥
haath day-ay raakhay kar apunay sadaa sadaa rang maan. ||1||
He extends His support and protects us from vices and we enjoy spiritual bliss forever and ever. ||1||
ਉਹ, ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਬਚਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਸਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥
ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਸਦ ਮਿਹਰਵਾਣ ॥
saachaa saahib sad miharvaan.
The eternal God is always merciful.
ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਦਾ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਬੰਧੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਮੇਰੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਹੋਈ ਸਰਬ ਕਲਿਆਣ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
banDh paa-i-aa mayrai satgur poorai ho-ee sarab kali-aan. rahaa-o.
My perfect true Guru has put a stop on my problems, therefore, now there is bliss all around. ||Pause||
ਮੇਰੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿਚ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ, ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਜੀਉ ਪਾਇ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਸਾਜਿਆ ਦਿਤਾ ਪੈਨਣੁ ਖਾਣੁ ॥
jee-o paa-ay pind jin saaji-aa ditaa painan khaan.
God, Who fashioned this body, placed the soul within and provided it clothing and nourishment,
ਜਿਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਜਿੰਦ ਪਾ ਕੇ (ਸਾਡਾ) ਸਰੀਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇਹੜਾ (ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ) ਸਾਨੂੰ ਖ਼ੁਰਾਕ ਤੇ ਪੁਸ਼ਾਕ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ,
ਅਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਕੀ ਆਪਿ ਪੈਜ ਰਾਖੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੁ ॥੨॥੧੬॥੪੪॥
apnay daas kee aap paij raakhee naanak sad kurbaan. ||2||16||44||
He Himself preserves the honor of His devotees. O’ Nanak, I am forever dedicated to Him. ||2||16||44||
ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਆਪ ਬਚਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ) ਸਦਾ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੨॥੧੬॥੪੪॥
