ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰਾ ਸੇਵਕ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ) ਇਹਨਾਂ (ਪਰਦਿਆਂ) ਵਿਚ (ਹੁਣ) ਨਹੀਂ ਫਸਦਾ ॥੨॥
ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕੀ ਜੇਵਰੀ ਬਾਧਿਓ ਤੇਰੋ ਜਨ ॥

O’ God, Your devotees are bound with the string of Your love,
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਮੈਂ) ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੀ ਰੱਸੀ ਨਾਲ ਬੱਝਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹਾਂ।

ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਖਲਾਸੀ ਪਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਫਾਇਦਾ ਹੈ?

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੇ ॥
har har har har har har haray.
By meditating on God’s Name with each and every breath,
ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਸੁਆਸ ਸੁਆਸ ਹਰਿਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਿਆਂ,
ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਜਨ ਗਏ ਨਿਸਤਰਿ ਤਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har simrat jan ga-ay nistar taray. ||1|| rahaa-o.
many devotees of God have crossed over the world-ocean of vices. ||1||Pause||
ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਦਾਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪੂਰਨ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਕਬੀਰ ਉਜਾਗਰ ॥
har kay naam kabeer ujaagar.
By meditating on God’s Name, Kabir became famous and respected,
ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਕਬੀਰ (ਭਗਤ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਹੋਇਆ,
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਕਾਟੇ ਕਾਗਰ ॥੧॥
janam janam kay kaatay kaagar. ||1||
and the accounts of deeds done in many previous births were torn up. ||1||
ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੇਖੇ ਮੁੱਕ ਗਏ ॥੧॥
ਨਿਮਤ ਨਾਮਦੇਉ ਦੂਧੁ ਪੀਆਇਆ ॥
nimat naamday-o dooDh pee-aa-i-aa.
Due to his intense devotion to God, Namdev realized God,
ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੀ ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਨੇ (ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਰਾਇ) ਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਧ ਪਿਆਇਆ ਸੀ,
ਤਉ ਜਗ ਜਨਮ ਸੰਕਟ ਨਹੀ ਆਇਆ ॥੨॥
ta-o jag janam sankat nahee aa-i-aa. ||2||
and he didn’t suffer the pain of being born again in the world. ||2||
ਤੇ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਿਆ ॥੨॥
ਜਨ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਰਾਮ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ॥
jan ravidaas raam rang raataa.
Ravidas, the humble devotee of God, is also imbued with the love of God.
ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਦਾਸ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ (ਭੀ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਇਉ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਨਰਕ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਤਾ ॥੩॥੫॥
i-o gur parsaad narak nahee jaataa. ||3||5||
By the Guru’s grace, he will also not go through any sufferings.||3||5||
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਦਾ ਸਦਕਾ, ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਨਰਕਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਏਗਾ ॥੩॥੫॥

ਮਾਟੀ ਕੋ ਪੁਤਰਾ ਕੈਸੇ ਨਚਤੁ ਹੈ ॥

How human being, a puppet of clay, is dancing for the sake of Maya ?
(ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਫਸ ਕੇ) ਇਹ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦਾ ਪੁਤਲਾ ਕੇਹਾ ਹਾਸੋ-ਹੀਣਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਨੱਚ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ (ਭਟਕ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ);
ਦੇਖੈ ਦੇਖੈ ਸੁਨੈ ਬੋਲੈ ਦਉਰਿਓ ਫਿਰਤੁ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
daykhai daykhai sunai bolai da-ori-o firat hai. ||1|| rahaa-o.
He looks here and there, listens, speaks, and runs around for the sake of Maya, the worldly wealth and power. ||1||Pause||
ਮਾਇਆ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਚਾਰ-ਚੁਫੇਰੇ ਢੂੰਢਦਾ ਹੈ; ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਸੁਣਨੀਆਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਲੱਗਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਮਾਇਆ ਕਮਾਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਹੀ ਦੌੜਿਆ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਜਬ ਕਛੁ ਪਾਵੈ ਤਬ ਗਰਬੁ ਕਰਤੁ ਹੈ ॥
jab kachh paavai tab garab karat hai.
When he acquires some worldly wealth, he is inflated with ego;
ਜਦੋਂ (ਇਸ ਨੂੰ) ਕੁਝ ਧਨ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ (ਇਹ) ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ;
ਮਾਇਆ ਗਈ ਤਬ ਰੋਵਨੁ ਲਗਤੁ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
maa-i-aa ga-ee tab rovan lagat hai. ||1||
but he cries and bewails when Maya, the worldly wealth, is lost. ||1||
ਪਰ ਜੇ ਗੁਆਚ ਜਾਏ ਤਾਂ ਰੋਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਦੁੱਖੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਮਨ ਬਚ ਕ੍ਰਮ ਰਸ ਕਸਹਿ ਲੁਭਾਨਾ ॥
man bach karam ras kaseh lubhaanaa.
In thought, word and deed, he is attached to worldly pleasures.
ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਬਚਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਕਰਤੂਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਚਸਕਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ,
ਬਿਨਸਿ ਗਇਆ ਜਾਇ ਕਹੂੰ ਸਮਾਨਾ ॥੨॥
binas ga-i-aa jaa-ay kahoo-aN samaanaa. ||2||
Upon death, the the soul leaves the body and gets absorbed in some other existence. ||2||
ਮੌਤ ਆਉਣ ਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਢਹਿ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੀਵ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਕਹਿ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਬਾਜੀ ਜਗੁ ਭਾਈ ॥
kahi ravidaas baajee jag bhaa-ee.
Ravidas says, O’ brother, this world is like the street show;
ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਇਹ ਜਗਤ ਇਕ ਖੇਡ ਹੀ ਹੈ,
ਬਾਜੀਗਰ ਸਉ ਮੋੁਹਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਬਨਿ ਆਈ ॥੩॥੬॥
baajeegar sa-o mohi pareet ban aa-ee. ||3||6||
I have fallen in love with God, the juggler who has set up the show.||3||6||
ਮੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਇਸ ਖੇਡ ਦੇ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਗ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਸੋ, (ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਹਾਸੋ-ਹੀਣੇ ਨਾਚ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ) ॥੩॥੬॥

One eternal God, realized by the grace of the true Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਭ੍ਰਮਤ ਫਿਰਤ ਬਹੁ ਜਨਮ ਬਿਲਾਨੇ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਨਹੀ ਧੀਰੇ ॥
bharmat firat baho janam bilaanay tan man Dhan nahee Dheeray.
Many births have passed wandering around in the love for Maya ; every time in the end, the body, mind and worldly wealth never remain stable.
ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਭਟਕਦਿਆਂ ਕਈ ਜਨਮ ਗੁਜ਼ਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਨਾ ਸਰੀਰ, ਨਾ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀਂ ਧਨ ਟਿਕਿਆ।
ਲਾਲਚ ਬਿਖੁ ਕਾਮ ਲੁਬਧ ਰਾਤਾ ਮਨਿ ਬਿਸਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਹੀਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
laalach bikh kaam lubaDh raataa man bisray parabh heeray. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Attached to Maya (worldly wealth), greed and lust, the human mind completely forgets the invaluable Name of God.||1||Pause||
ਲੋਭੀ ਜੀਵ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ-ਰੂਪ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਵਿਚ, ਕਾਮ-ਵਾਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ, ਰੰਗਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਅਮੋਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਸਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਬਿਖੁ ਫਲ ਮੀਠ ਲਗੇ ਮਨ ਬਉਰੇ ਚਾਰ ਬਿਚਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥
bikh fal meeth lagay man ba-uray chaar bichaar na jaani-aa.
O’ crazy mind, the poisonous fruits of Maya seems sweet to you and righteous thoughts never came to your mind.
ਹੇ ਕਮਲੇ ਮਨ! ਇਹ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ-ਰੂਪ ਫਲ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਿੱਠੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਫੁਰਦੀ;
ਗੁਨ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਬਢੀ ਅਨ ਭਾਂਤੀ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਫਿਰਿ ਤਾਨਿਆ ॥੧॥
gun tay pareet badhee an bhaaNtee janam maran fir taani-aa. ||1||
Instead of virtues, your love for other worldly things is multiplying and a web of births and deaths is being woven for you. ||1||
ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਹੱਟ ਕੇ ਹੋਰ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਧ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਤਾਣਾ ਤਣਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਜੁਗਤਿ ਜਾਨਿ ਨਹੀ ਰਿਦੈ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਜਲਤ ਜਾਲ ਜਮ ਫੰਧ ਪਰੇ ॥
jugat jaan nahee ridai nivaasee jalat jaal jam fanDh paray.
You didn’t enshrine the righteous way of life in your heart; while suffering in the fierce worldly desires, you got in the webs of the demon of death.
ਤੂੰ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਜੁਗਤ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪੱਕੀ ਨਾਹ ਕੀਤੀ; ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਵਿਚ ਸੜਦੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਜਮਾਂ ਫਾਹੇ ਪੈ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
ਬਿਖੁ ਫਲ ਸੰਚਿ ਭਰੇ ਮਨ ਐਸੇ ਪਰਮ ਪੁਰਖ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਨ ਬਿਸਰੇ ॥੨॥
bikh fal sanch bharay man aisay param purakh parabh man bisray. ||2|||
O’ my mind you kapt amassing the poisonous worldly wealth, that you completely forgot God, the Supreme Being.||2||
ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਤੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ-ਰੂਪ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਫਲ ਹੀ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ, ਤੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਸਾਂਭਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਮ ਪੁਰਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਭੁੱਲ ਗਿਆ ॥੨॥
ਗਿਆਨ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸੁ ਗੁਰਹਿ ਧਨੁ ਦੀਆ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਮਾਨੁ ਮਨ ਏਕ ਮਏ ॥
gi-aan parvays gureh Dhan dee-aa Dhi-aan maan man ayk ma-ay.
The person whom the Guru blessed with the wealth of divine knowledge, his mind remained attuned to God and he became one with God.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼-ਰੂਪ ਧਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਗਈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਬਣ ਗਈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ-ਮਿੱਕ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ;
ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਮਾਨੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਜਾਨਿਆ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਘਾਨੇ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਭਏ ॥੩॥
paraym bhagat maanee sukh jaani-aa taripat aghaanay mukat bha-ay. ||3||
He enjoyed the loving devotion of God and realized the celestial peace; satisfied and satiated, he became free from the worldly bonds. ||3||
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਚੰਗੀ ਲੱਗੀ, ਸੁਖ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਬਣ ਗਈ, ਉਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਲੋਂ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰੱਜ ਗਿਆ, ਤੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋੰ ਮੁਕਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ॥੩॥
ਜੋਤਿ ਸਮਾਇ ਸਮਾਨੀ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਅਛਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਹਿਚਾਨਿਆ ॥
jot samaa-ay samaanee jaa kai achhlee parabh pehchaani-aa.
The person within whom the divine light of all pervading God got enshrined, he recognized God who cannot be deceived.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਟਿਕ ਗਈ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਹ ਛਲੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਣ ਲਿਆ।
ਧੰਨੈ ਧਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਧਰਣੀਧਰੁ ਮਿਲਿ ਜਨ ਸੰਤ ਸਮਾਨਿਆ ॥੪॥੧॥
Dhannai Dhan paa-i-aa DharneeDhar mil jan sant samaani-aa. ||4||1||
I, Dhanna, have received the wealth of the Name of God, the support of the entire world; meeting with the saints, I am merged in God.||4||1||
ਮੈਂ ਧੰਨੇ ਨੇ ਭੀ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਰੂਪ ਧਨ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ; ਮੈਂ ਧੰਨਾ ਭੀ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ ॥੪॥੧॥

ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਮਦੇਉ ਮਨੁ ਲੀਣਾ ॥
gobind gobind gobind sang naamday-o man leenaa.
Devotee Namdev’s mind always remained attuned to God’s Name,
ਭਗਤ ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ।
ਆਢ ਦਾਮ ਕੋ ਛੀਪਰੋ ਹੋਇਓ ਲਾਖੀਣਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
aadh daam ko chheepro ho-i-o laakheenaa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
and he, the calico printer, worth almost nothing, became highly regarded as if he was a millionaire |1||Pause||
ਅੱਧੀ ਕੌਡੀ ਦਾ ਗਰੀਬ ਛੀਂਬਾ, ਲਖਪਤੀ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਮੁਥਾਜੀ ਨਾਹ ਰਹੀ) ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਬੁਨਨਾ ਤਨਨਾ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਕੈ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਚਰਨ ਕਬੀਰਾ ॥
bunnaa tannaa ti-aag kai pareet charan kabeeraa.
Abandoning weaving and stretching thread, Kabeer imbued himself with the love for God’s Name;
ਕੱਪੜਾ ਉਣਨ, ਤਾਣਾ ਤਣਨ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਕਬੀਰ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲਗਨ ਲਾ ਲਈ;
ਨੀਚ ਕੁਲਾ ਜੋਲਾਹਰਾ ਭਇਓ ਗੁਨੀਯ ਗਹੀਰਾ ॥੧॥
neech kulaa jolaaharaa bha-i-o guneey gaheeraa. ||1||
and this weaver from a lowly family became an ocean of excellence. ||1||
ਨੀਵੀਂ ਜਾਤਿ ਦਾ ਗਰੀਬ ਜੁਲਾਹਾ ਸੀ, ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ॥੧॥
ਰਵਿਦਾਸੁ ਢੁਵੰਤਾ ਢੋਰ ਨੀਤਿ ਤਿਨਿ ਤਿਆਗੀ ਮਾਇਆ ॥
ravidaas dhuvantaa dhor neet tin ti-aagee maa-i-aa.
Ravidas, who used to carry the dead animals every day, abandoned the worldly aattachments,
ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਨਿੱਤ ਮੋਏ ਹੋਏ ਪਸ਼ੂ ਢੋਂਦਾ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ,
ਪਰਗਟੁ ਹੋਆ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੨॥
pargat ho-aa saaDhsang har darsan paa-i-aa. ||2||
he realized God and became renowned in the company of the saints. ||2||
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਉੱਘਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ॥੨॥
ਸੈਨੁ ਨਾਈ ਬੁਤਕਾਰੀਆ ਓਹੁ ਘਰਿ ਘਰਿ ਸੁਨਿਆ ॥
sain naa-ee butkaaree-aa oh ghar ghar suni-aa.
Sain, the barber, the village menial worker, became known in each and every house,
ਸੈਣ (ਜਾਤਿ ਦਾ) ਨਾਈ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬੁੱਤੀਆਂ ਕੱਢਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਘਰ ਘਰ ਸੋਭਾ ਹੋ ਤੁਰੀ,
ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਸਿਆ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਭਗਤਾ ਮਹਿ ਗਨਿਆ ॥੩॥
hirday vasi-aa paarbarahm bhagtaa meh gani-aa. ||3||
and acknowledged among the devotees of God when he realized God dwelling in his heart.||3||
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵੱਸ ਪਿਆ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਗਿਣਿਆ ਜਾਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਿਆ ॥੩॥
