ਹੇ ਕਠੋਰ-ਚਿੱਤ ਮਨੁੱਖ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪੀ (ਅਤੇ ਪਖੰਡ ਛੱਡ) ॥੩॥੪॥

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਜਿ ਚੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਸੀ ਆਸਾ ਤੇ ਨ ਭਾਵਸੀ ॥
paarbarahm je cheenHsee aasaa tay na bhaavsee.
Those who realize the supreme God, they don’t care for worldly desires.
ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣ-ਪਛਾਣ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਆਸਾਂ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦੀਆਂ।
ਰਾਮਾ ਭਗਤਹ ਚੇਤੀਅਲੇ ਅਚਿੰਤ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਖਸੀ ॥੧॥
raamaa bhagtah chaytee-alay achint man raakhsee. ||1||
The devotees who remember God, He keeps their minds free of anxiety. ||1||
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਈ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਕੈਸੇ ਮਨ ਤਰਹਿਗਾ ਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਬਿਖੈ ਕੋ ਬਨਾ ॥
kaisay man tarhigaa ray sansaar saagar bikhai ko banaa.
O’ my mind, how will you swim across the world-ocean filled with water of vices?
ਹੇ (ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ! ਤੂੰ ਪਾਪ ਦੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘੇਂਗਾ?
ਝੂਠੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇਖਿ ਕੈ ਭੂਲਾ ਰੇ ਮਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jhoothee maa-i-aa daykh kai bhoolaa ray manaa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
O’ my mind, seeing the false Maya (transitory worldly riches and power), you have forgotten God and have gone astray.||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਇਹ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਮਾਇਕ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਲੋਂ) ਖੁੰਝ ਗਿਆ ਹੈਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਛੀਪੇ ਕੇ ਘਰਿ ਜਨਮੁ ਦੈਲਾ ਗੁਰ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਭੈਲਾ ॥
chheepay kay ghar janam dailaa gur updays bhailaa.
Even though I was born in the family of a calico printer, but (by God’s grace) I received the teachings of the Guru,
ਭਾਵੇਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਾਮੇ ਨੂੰ ਛੀਂਬੇ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਪਰ (ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ) ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ;
ਸੰਤਹ ਕੈ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਹਰਿ ਭੇਟੁਲਾ ॥੨॥੫॥
santeh kai parsaad naamaa har bhaytulaa. ||2||5||
and now with the saint-Guru’s grace, Namdev has realized God. ||2||5||
ਹੁਣ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ (ਨਾਮੇ) ਨੂੰ ਰੱਬ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੫॥

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik-oNkaar satgur parsaad.
One eternal God, realized by the grace of the true Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਮੀਨ ਭ੍ਰਿੰਗ ਪਤੰਗ ਕੁੰਚਰ ਏਕ ਦੋਖ ਬਿਨਾਸ ॥
marig meen bharing patang kunchar ayk dokh binaas.
A deer for music, a fish for food, a black bee for smell, a moth for light, and an elephant for lust, are all destroyed by a single fault in each.
ਹਰਨ, ਮੱਛੀ, ਭੌਰਾ, ਭੰਬਟ, ਹਾਥੀ-ਇਕ ਇਕ ਐਬ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਪੰਚ ਦੋਖ ਅਸਾਧ ਜਾ ਮਹਿ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਕੇਤਕ ਆਸ ॥੧॥
panch dokh asaaDh jaa meh taa kee kaytak aas. ||1||
So what hope is there for the redemption of a human being, who has all the five incurable maladies (of lust, anger, greed, attachment and ego)? ||1||
ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਪੰਜੇ ਅਸਾਧ ਰੋਗ ਹਨ, ਇਸ ਦੇ ਬਚਣ ਦੀ ਕਦ ਤਕ ਆਸ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ? ॥੧॥
ਮਾਧੋ ਅਬਿਦਿਆ ਹਿਤ ਕੀਨ ॥
maaDho abidi-aa hit keen.
O’ God, human beings are in love with ignorance.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜੀਵ ਅਗਿਆਨਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ;
ਬਿਬੇਕ ਦੀਪ ਮਲੀਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
bibayk deep maleen. ||1|| rahaa-o.
They are unable to differentiate between right and wrong as if their wisdom has become foggy. ||1||Pause||
ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਿਬੇਕ ਦਾ ਦੀਵਾ ਧੁੰਧਲਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ (ਪਰਖ-ਹੀਣ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਭਲੇ ਬੁਰੇ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ) ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਤ੍ਰਿਗਦ ਜੋਨਿ ਅਚੇਤ ਸੰਭਵ ਪੁੰਨ ਪਾਪ ਅਸੋਚ ॥
tarigad jon achayt sambhav punn paap asoch.
The creeping creatures are without the power to think; therefore, it is natural for them to be unaware of vice or virtue.
ਪਸ਼ੂ ਆਦਿਕ ਟੇਢੀਆਂ ਜੂਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਵ ਵਿਚਾਰ-ਹੀਨ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਪ ਪੁੰਨ ਵਲੋਂ ਬੇ-ਪਰਵਾਹ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਹੈ;
ਮਾਨੁਖਾ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਦੁਲਭ ਤਿਹੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪੋਚ ॥੨॥
maanukhaa avtaar dulabh tihee sangat poch. ||2||
A human being has received this life with such a difficulty and still he keeps the company of evil tendencies. ||2||
ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਜਨਮ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਭੀ ਨੀਚ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਜਹਾ ਜਹਾ ਲਗੁ ਕਰਮ ਕੇ ਬਸਿ ਜਾਇ ॥
jee-a jant jahaa jahaa lag karam kay bas jaa-ay.
All humans and other living beings, wherever they are, they are born in accordance with their destiny based on their past deeds.
ਕੀਤੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਜਨਮ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜੀਵ ਜਿਥੇ ਜਿਥੇ ਭੀ ਹਨ,
ਕਾਲ ਫਾਸ ਅਬਧ ਲਾਗੇ ਕਛੁ ਨ ਚਲੈ ਉਪਾਇ ॥੩॥
kaal faas abaDh laagay kachh na chalai upaa-ay. ||3||
The noose of death is unforgiving and it shall catch them; it cannot be warded off. ||3||
ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਲ ਦੀ ਐਸੀ ਫਾਹੀ ਪਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕੱਟੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ, ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੁਝ ਪੇਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੀ ॥੩॥
ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਦਾਸ ਉਦਾਸ ਤਜੁ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਤਪਨ ਤਪੁ ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨ ॥
ravidaas daas udaas taj bharam tapan tap gur gi-aan.
O’ devotee Ravidas, become detached from these vices, remove your doubt and do the supreme penance of acting on the divine wisdom given by the Guru.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਾਸ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ! ਤੂੰ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਨਿਕਲ; ਭਟਕਣਾ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਹ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਕਮਾ, ਇਹੀ ਤਪਾਂ ਦਾ ਤਪ ਹੈ।
ਭਗਤ ਜਨ ਭੈ ਹਰਨ ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦ ਕਰਹੁ ਨਿਦਾਨ ॥੪॥੧॥
bhagat jan bhai haran parmaanand karahu nidaan. ||4||1||
O’ God, the destroyer of the fears of Your devotees, make me supremely blissful in the end. ||4||1||
ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਭੈ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਆਖ਼ਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ (ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਦਾ) ਪਰਮ ਅਨੰਦ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੋ ॥੪॥੧॥

ਸੰਤ ਤੁਝੀ ਤਨੁ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ॥
sant tujhee tan sangat paraan.
O’ God, Your saints are Your manifestation and their company is my life breaths.
ਹੇ ਦੇਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਸੰਤ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਰੂਪ ਹਨ, ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ-ਜਾਨ ਹੈ।
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨ ਜਾਨੈ ਸੰਤ ਦੇਵਾ ਦੇਵ ॥੧॥
satgur gi-aan jaanai sant dayvaa dayv. ||1||
O’ God of all gods, I know these saints through the divine knowledge given by the true Guru. ||1||
ਹੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ (ਹਰੀ)!। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ,
ਸੰਤ ਚੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਸੰਤ ਕਥਾ ਰਸੁ ॥ ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਮਾਝੈ ਦੀਜੈ ਦੇਵਾ ਦੇਵ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sant chee sangat sant kathaa ras. sant paraym maajhai deejai dayvaa dayv. ||1|| rahaa-o
O’ God of all angels, grant me the company of the saints, the relish of discourses by the saints about God’s praises and love of saints.||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼, ਮੈਂ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਕਥਾ ਦਾ ਰਸ ਲੈ ਸਕਾਂ;ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦਾ (ਭਾਵ, ਸੰਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ) ਪ੍ਰੇਮ (ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ) ਦੇਹ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸੰਤ ਆਚਰਣ ਸੰਤ ਚੋ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਸੰਤ ਚ ਓਲ੍ਹਗ ਓਲ੍ਹਗਣੀ ॥੨॥
sant aachran sant cho maarag sant cha olahg olahgnee. ||2||
O’ God bless me with the saintly disposition, saintly life-style, and opportunity to humbly serve the saints. ||2||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਕਰਣੀ, ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਰਸਤਾ, ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ॥੨॥
ਅਉਰ ਇਕ ਮਾਗਉ ਭਗਤਿ ਚਿੰਤਾਮਣਿ ॥
a-or ik maaga-o bhagat chintaaman.
O’ God, I ask for one more thing, the wish fulfilling jewel of Your devotion,
ਮੈਂ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਇਕ ਹੋਰ (ਦਾਤਿ ਭੀ) ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਦੇਹ, ਜੋ ਮਨ-ਚਿੰਦੇ ਫਲ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਮਣੀ ਹੈ;
ਜਣੀ ਲਖਾਵਹੁ ਅਸੰਤ ਪਾਪੀ ਸਣਿ ॥੩॥
janee likhaavahu asant paapee san. ||3||
and never let me be in the company the un-saintly sinners.||3||
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਪਾਪੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਹ ਕਰਾਈਂ ॥੩॥
ਰਵਿਦਾਸੁ ਭਣੈ ਜੋ ਜਾਣੈ ਸੋ ਜਾਣੁ ॥
ravidaas bhanai jo jaanai so jaan.
Ravidas says, he alone is wise who knows,
ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-ਅਸਲ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਸੰਤ ਅਨੰਤਹਿ ਅੰਤਰੁ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੪॥੨॥
sant anaNteh antar naahee. ||4||2||
that there is no difference between a true saint and infinite God. ||4||2||
ਕਿ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਵਿੱਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੨॥

ਤੁਮ ਚੰਦਨ ਹਮ ਇਰੰਡ ਬਾਪੁਰੇ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੁਮਾਰੇ ਬਾਸਾ ॥
tum chandan ham irand baapuray sang tumaaray baasaa.
O’ God, You are like a sandalwood tree and I am like a poor castor oil plant, dwelling in Your company.
ਹੇ ਮਾਧੋ! ਤੂੰ ਚੰਦਨ ਦਾ ਬੂਟਾ ਹੈਂ, ਮੈਂ ਨਿਮਾਣਾ ਹਰਿੰਡ ਹਾਂ ਪਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਲਈ ਥਾਂ ਮਿਲ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਨੀਚ ਰੂਖ ਤੇ ਊਚ ਭਏ ਹੈ ਗੰਧ ਸੁਗੰਧ ਨਿਵਾਸਾ ॥੧॥
neech rookh tay ooch bha-ay hai ganDh suganDh nivaasaa. ||1||
Just as a lowly undesirable plant becomes exalted because of the fragrance of sandalwood, similarly by meditating on You, a lowly person like me has become Your devotee) ||1||
ਤੇਰੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਮਿੱਠੀ ਵਾਸ਼ਨਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਵੱਸ ਪਈ ਹੈ, ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਨੀਵੇਂ ਰੁੱਖ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥
ਮਾਧਉ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਰਨਿ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰੀ ॥
maaDha-o satsangat saran tumHaaree.
O’ God, I have come to the refuge of the company of Your Saints;
ਹੇ ਮਾਧੋ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦੀ ਓਟ ਫੜੀ ਹੈ.
ਹਮ ਅਉਗਨ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਉਪਕਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ham a-ugan tumH upkaaree. ||1|| rahaa-o.
I am full of sins and You are so benevolent. ||1||Pause||
ਮੈਂ ਮੰਦ-ਕਰਮੀ ਹਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਤੁਮ ਮਖਤੂਲ ਸੁਪੇਦ ਸਪੀਅਲ ਹਮ ਬਪੁਰੇ ਜਸ ਕੀਰਾ ॥
tum makh-tool supayd sapee-al ham bapuray jas keeraa.
O’ God, You are like the whitish yellow silk and I am like a small worm
ਤੂੰ ਚਿੱਟਾ ਅਤੇ ਪੀਲਾ ਰੇਸ਼ਮ ਦਾ ਧਾਗਾ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਵਿਚਾਰੇ ਕੀੜੇ ਵਾਙੂ ਹਾਂ।
ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਰਹੀਐ ਮਾਧਉ ਜੈਸੇ ਮਧੁਪ ਮਖੀਰਾ ॥੨॥
satsangat mil rahee-ai maaDha-o jaisay maDhup makheeraa. ||2||
O’ God bless me that I may remain in the company of Saints, like the bee in the honeycomb. ||2||
ਮਾਧੋ! ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਰਹਾਂ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਦ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੱਖੀਆਂ ਛੱਤੇ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕੀਆਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
ਜਾਤੀ ਓਛਾ ਪਾਤੀ ਓਛਾ ਓਛਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥
jaatee ochhaa paatee ochhaa ochhaa janam hamaaraa.
My social status is low, my ancestry is low, and my birth is low as well;
ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਤਿ ਨੀਵੀਂ, ਮੇਰੀ ਕੁਲ ਨੀਵੀਂ, ਮੇਰਾ ਜਨਮ ਨੀਵਾਂ;
ਰਾਜਾ ਰਾਮ ਕੀ ਸੇਵ ਨ ਕੀਨੀ ਕਹਿ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਚਮਾਰਾ ॥੩॥੩॥
raajaa raam kee sayv na keenee kahi ravidaas chamaaraa. ||3||3||
O’ my God, the sovereign King, if I did not perform Your devotional worship then I will remain same lowly person, says Ravi Daas the cobbler. ||3||3||
ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਚਮਿਆਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-, ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ! ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਨਾਹ ਕੀਤੀ, ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਤਿ, ਕੁਲ ਤੇ ਜਨਮ ਸੱਚ-ਮੁਚ ਨੀਵੇਂ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਣਗੇ)॥੩॥੩॥

ਕਹਾ ਭਇਓ ਜਉ ਤਨੁ ਭਇਓ ਛਿਨੁ ਛਿਨੁ ॥
kahaa bha-i-o ja-o tan bha-i-o chhin chhin.
O’ God, how does it matter that my body is now very feeble and weak.
ਕੀ ਹੋਇਆ ਜੇਕਰ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਟੁਕੜੇ ਟੁਕੜੇ (ਨਾਸ ਭੀ) ਹੋ ਜਾਏ.
ਪ੍ਰੇਮੁ ਜਾਇ ਤਉ ਡਰਪੈ ਤੇਰੋ ਜਨੁ ॥੧॥
paraym jaa-ay ta-o darpai tayro jan. ||1||
But Your devotee is afraid of losing Your love. ||1||
ਤੇਰਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਘਬਰਾਏਗਾ ਜੇ (ਇਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ) ਪਿਆਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ॥੧॥
ਤੁਝਹਿ ਚਰਨ ਅਰਬਿੰਦ ਭਵਨ ਮਨੁ ॥
tujheh charan arbind bhavan man.
O’ God, my mind always remains attuned to Your love, as if Your lotus feet are the resting place of my mind.
(ਹੇ ਰਾਮ!ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਕਉਲ ਫੁੱਲ ਵਰਗੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਬਣਾ ਚੁਕਿਆ ਹੈ;
ਪਾਨ ਕਰਤ ਪਾਇਓ ਪਾਇਓ ਰਾਮਈਆ ਧਨੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
paan karat paa-i-o paa-i-o raam-ee-aa Dhan. ||1|| rahaa-o.
By partaking the nectar of Naam, I have attained the wealth of God’s Name.
ਨਾਮ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪੀ ਕੇ ਰਾਮ ਰੂਪੀ ਧਨ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ।॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸੰਪਤਿ ਬਿਪਤਿ ਪਟਲ ਮਾਇਆ ਧਨੁ ॥

Worldly wealth, possessions, and worldly problems, are like the veils of Maya,
ਸੌਖ, ਬਿਪਤਾ, ਧਨ-ਇਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪਰਦੇ ਹਨ
