ਜਨ ਕੀ ਟੇਕ ਏਕ ਗੋਪਾਲ ॥
jan kee tayk ayk gopaal.
God becomes the only support for such a devotee.
ਇਕ ਗੋਪਾਲ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਏਕਾ ਲਿਵ ਏਕੋ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਉ ॥
aykaa liv ayko man bhaa-o.
Such a devotee becomes attuned to God and his mind is filled with love for God.
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਲਗਨ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਪਿਆਰ ਟਿਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਰਬ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਜਨ ਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਉ ॥੩॥
sarab niDhaan jan kai har naa-o. ||3||
For that devotee, God’s Name becomes all (kinds of) treasures.
ਸੇਵਕ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ (ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਗੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ॥
paarbrahm sio laagi pareet.
He is imbued with the love of God.
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਪੱਕੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
ਨਿਰਮਲ ਕਰਣੀ ਸਾਚੀ ਰੀਤਿ ॥
nirmal karnee saachee reet.
That devotee’s deeds become immaculate, and the conduct becomes truthful.
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਮਰਯਾਦਾ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਲਿਆਂ ਵਲੋਂ) ਅਡੋਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਮੇਟਿਆ ਅੰਧਿਆਰਾ ॥
gur poorai mayti-aa anDhi-aaraa.
The Perfect Guru has dispelled the darkness of ignorance from his mind.
ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦਾ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪਰ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥੪॥੨੪॥੯੩॥
naanak kaa parabh apar apaaraa. ||4||24||93||
Nanak’s God is Incomparable and Infinite.
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਹੈ l
ਗਉੜੀ ਗੁਆਰੇਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
ga-orhee gu-aarayree mehlaa 5.
Raag Gauree Gwaarayree, by the Fifth Guru:
ਜਿਸੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਤਰੈ ਜਨੁ ਸੋਇ ॥
jis man vasai tarai jan so-ay.
The one in whose mind dwells God, he swims across the worldly ocean of vices.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਰੋਗਾਂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਕਰਮਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਇ ॥
jaa kai karam paraapat ho-ay.
By God’s grace, when one realizes Him,
ਜਿਸ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਦੀ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਨਾਲ (ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ) ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ,
ਦੂਖੁ ਰੋਗੁ ਕਛੁ ਭਉ ਨ ਬਿਆਪੈ ॥
dookh rog kachh bha-o na bi-aapai.
then pain, disease and fear do not affect him at all.
ਤਾਂ (ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦਾ) ਕੋਈ ਦੁੱਖ ਕੋਈ ਰੋਗ ਕੋਈ ਡਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ,
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਪੈ ॥੧॥
amrit naam ridai har jaapai. ||1||
Because he always remembers the nectar-like God’s Name in his heart .
(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਜਪਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥
paarbarahm parmaysur Dhi-aa-ee-ai.
We should always remember the all pervading God with love and devotion.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ਰ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਮਤਿ ਪਾਈਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
gur pooray tay ih mat paa-ee-ai. ||1|| rahaa-o.
This understanding is obtained from the perfect Guru.
(ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ) ਇਹ ਸੂਝ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ l
ਕਰਣ ਕਰਾਵਨਹਾਰ ਦਇਆਲ ॥
karan karaavanhaar da-i-aal.
The Merciful God is the Doer, and the Cause of causes.
ਜੋ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਰਾਣ ਦੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਦਇਆ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਹੈ,
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਗਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲ ॥
jee-a jant saglay partipaal.
He cherishes and nurtures all beings and creatures.
ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ ਜੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰ ਸਦਾ ਬੇਅੰਤਾ ॥
agam agochar sadaa bay-antaa.
He is Inaccessible, Incomprehensible, Eternal and Infinite.
ਜੋ ਅਪਹੁੰਚ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਤਕ ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨਹੀਂ , ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈ ਸਕਦਾ,
ਸਿਮਰਿ ਮਨਾ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਮੰਤਾ ॥੨॥
simar manaa pooray gur manntaa. ||2||
Meditate on Him, O my mind, through the Teachings of the Perfect Guru. ||2||
ਹੇ (ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ! ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਉਸ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰ l
ਜਾ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਸਰਬ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ॥
jaa kee sayvaa sarab niDhaan.
Remembering Him with loving devotion, all treasures are obtained.
ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ (ਜਗਤ ਦੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਹਨ,
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਪਾਈਐ ਮਾਨੁ ॥
parabh kee poojaa paa-ee-ai maan.
Worshipping God, honor is obtained.
ਜਿਸ ਹਰੀ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ (ਹਰ ਥਾਂ) ਆਦਰ-ਮਾਣ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਜਾ ਕੀ ਟਹਲ ਨ ਬਿਰਥੀ ਜਾਇ ॥
jaa kee tahal na birthee jaa-ay.
Serving His creation never goes to waste).
ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਿਸਫਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੀ
ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ॥੩॥
sadaa sadaa har kay gun gaa-ay. ||3||
forever and ever, sing the Glorious Praises of God. ||3||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਹੁ l
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥
kar kirpaa parabh antarjaamee.
O’ God, the inner knower of minds, please bestow mercy.
ਹੇ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ,
ਸੁਖ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਹਰਿ ਅਲਖ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥
sukh niDhaan har alakh su-aamee.
O’ The treasure of peace comforts and incomprehensible Master.
ਹੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਅਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਸੁਆਮੀ!
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥
jee-a jant tayree sarnaa-ee.
All beings and creatures seek Your Sanctuary.
ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣ ਹਨ (ਤੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਆਸਰੇ ਹਨ),
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥੪॥੨੫॥੯੪॥
naanak naam milai vadi-aa-ee. ||4||25||94||
O’ Nanak, (pray to God) that I may be blessed with Your Naam which is an honor for me.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਦਰ ਤੇ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰ) ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਏ (ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਵਡਿਆਈ ਹੈ
ਗਉੜੀ ਗੁਆਰੇਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
ga-orhee gu-aarayree mehlaa 5.
Raag Gauree Gwaarayree, by the Fifth Guru:
ਜੀਅ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਹੈ ਹਾਥ ॥
jee-a jugat jaa kai hai haath.
(O’ my friend), in whose hand is the way of life of all beings.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਮਰਯਾਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਸੋ ਸਿਮਰਹੁ ਅਨਾਥ ਕੋ ਨਾਥੁ ॥
so simrahu anaath ko naath.
Remember that the Master of the masterless with loving devotion.
ਉਸ ਅਨਾਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਥ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ।
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਚਿਤਿ ਆਏ ਸਭੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਜਾਇ ॥
parabh chit aa-ay sabh dukh jaa-ay.
By remembering God with loving devotion, all sorrows depart.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸ ਪਏ ਤਾਂ (ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਹਰੇਕ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਭੈ ਸਭ ਬਿਨਸਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਨਾਇ ॥੧॥
bhai sabh binsahi har kai naa-ay. ||1||
All fears are dispelled through the Name of God.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੇ ਡਰ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ
ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਭਉ ਕਾਹੇ ਕਾ ਮਾਨਹਿ ॥
bin har bha-o kaahay kaa maaneh.
Why do you fear anyone else except God?
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਕਿਉਂ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਹੈਂ?
ਹਰਿ ਬਿਸਰਤ ਕਾਹੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਜਾਨਹਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har bisrat kaahay sukh jaaneh. ||1|| rahaa-o.
By forgetting God, what kind of peace do you get?
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਹੋਰ ਕੇਹੜਾ ਸੁਖ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈਂ?
ਜਿਨਿ ਧਾਰੇ ਬਹੁ ਧਰਣਿ ਅਗਾਸ ॥
jin Dhaaray baho Dharan agaas.
He, who has supported the many earths and skies.
ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਧਰਤੀਆਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ,
ਜਾ ਕੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਜੀਅ ਪਰਗਾਸ ॥
jaa kee jot jee-a pargaas.
With whose light our soul is illuminated.
ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਚਾਨਣ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।.
ਜਾ ਕੀ ਬਖਸ ਨ ਮੇਟੈ ਕੋਇ ॥
jaa kee bakhas na maytai ko-ay.
Whose blessings no one can revoke.
ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਮਿਟਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ l
ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਹੋਇ ॥੨॥
simar simar parabh nirbha-o ho-ay. ||2||
The one who always remembers that God, become fearless from worldly fears.
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਡਰਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਨਿਡਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ l
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਸਿਮਰਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਾਮੁ ॥
aath pahar simrahu parabh naam.
(O’ my friend), at all times, keep remembering God’s Name with loving devotion.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਅੱਠੇ ਪਹਰ (ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹੁ।
ਅਨਿਕ ਤੀਰਥ ਮਜਨੁ ਇਸਨਾਨੁ ॥
anik tirath majan isnaan.
Remembering God with loving devotion is like bathing at many holy places.
ਇਹ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਹੀ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਤੀਰਥਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਹੈ।
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੀ ਸਰਣੀ ਪਾਹਿ ॥
paarbarahm kee sarnee paahi.
If you seek the Sanctuary of the Supreme God.
ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਪੈ ਜਾਏਂ,
ਕੋਟਿ ਕਲੰਕ ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਮਿਟਿ ਜਾਹਿ ॥੩॥
kot kalank khin meh mit jaahi. ||3||
Then millions of ypur sins shall be erased in an instant. ||3||
ਤਾਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਪਾਪ ਇਕ ਪਲ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ l
ਬੇਮੁਹਤਾਜੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੁ ॥
baymuhtaaj pooraa paatisaahu.
The Perfect King (God) is self-sufficient.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਮੁਥਾਜੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਹ ਸਭ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਭ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ ਹੈ।
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੇਵਕ ਸਾਚਾ ਵੇਸਾਹੁ ॥
parabh sayvak saachaa vaysaahu.
God’s servant has true faith in Him.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਅਟੱਲ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਰਾਖੇ ਦੇ ਹਾਥ ॥
gur poorai raakhay day haath.
God protects His devotees, through the perfect Guru.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ (ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਕਲੰਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਬਚਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸਮਰਾਥ ॥੪॥੨੬॥੯੫॥
naanak paarbarahm samraath. ||4||26||95||
O Nanak, the Supreme God is All-powerful.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਭ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ l

By Guru’s Grace, my mind is attached to the Naam, the Name of God.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕਾ ਸੋਇਆ ਜਾਗਾ ॥
janam janam kaa so-i-aa jaagaa.
Asleep (immersed in the love of Maya) for so many incarnations, it is now awakened (enlightened with the true wisdom).
ਅਨੇਕਾ ਜਨਮਾ ਦਾ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਦ ਵਿਚ) ਸੁੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਇਹ ਹੁਣ ਜਾਗ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਗੁਣ ਉਚਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਾਣੀ ॥
amrit gun uchrai parabh banee.
I chant the Ambrosial Bani, the Glorious Praises of God.
ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਗੁਣ, (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ) ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸੁਮਤਿ ਪਰਾਣੀ ॥੧॥
pooray gur kee sumat paraanee. ||1||
My mind has realized the sublime wisdom of the perfect Guru.
ਪੂਰਨ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਸਿਖ-ਮਤ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਆਈ ਹੈ।
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਕੁਸਲ ਸਭਿ ਪਾਏ ॥
parabh simrat kusal sabh paa-ay.
By remembering God with love and devotion, I have found total peace.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਘਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜ ਸਬਾਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ghar baahar sukh sahj sabaa-ay. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Now, there is peace and poise both within my mind and outside.
ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਤੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੋਖੇ ਹੀ ਸਮੂਹ ਆਰਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਸੋਈ ਪਛਾਤਾ ਜਿਨਹਿ ਉਪਾਇਆ ॥
so-ee pachhaataa jineh upaa-i-aa.
I have realized the One who has created me.
ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੰਞਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ॥
kar kirpaa parabh aap milaa-i-aa.
Showing His Mercy, God has merged me with Himself.
ਮਿਹਰ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ, ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਅਭੇਦ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਬਾਹ ਪਕਰਿ ਲੀਨੋ ਕਰਿ ਅਪਨਾ ॥
baah pakar leeno kar apnaa.
Taking me by the arm,(granting His protection), He has made me His Own.
ਬਾਂਹ ਤੋਂ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਸਦਾ ਜਪੁ ਜਪਨਾ ॥੨॥
har har kathaa sadaa jap japnaa. ||2||
So, now I continually recite the praises of God.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਵਾਰਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਤੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਅਉਖਧੁ ਪੁਨਹਚਾਰੁ ॥
mantar tantar a-ukhaDh punahchaar.
I have realized that all the Mantras, tantras, all-curing medicines and acts of atonement are contained in God’s Name,
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਮੰਤਰ ਹੈ, ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਜਾਦੂ ਹੈ, ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਦਵਾਈ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਕਰਮ ਹੈ,
