ਤੁਮਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਤੇ ਲਾਗੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ॥
tumree kirpaa tay laagee pareet.
O’ God, it is by Your grace, that one gets imbued with Your love.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ l
ਦਇਆਲ ਭਏ ਤਾ ਆਏ ਚੀਤਿ ॥
da-i-aal bha-ay taa aa-ay cheet.
When God becomes merciful, only then He comes into the mind.
ਜਦੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਦਇਆਵਨ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਦੋਂ ਚਿਤ (ਮਨ) ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਦਇਆ ਧਾਰੀ ਤਿਨਿ ਧਾਰਣਹਾਰ ॥
da-i-aa Dhaaree tin Dhaaranhaar.
One on whom God, capable of supporting all, bestowed mercy,
ਦਇਆ ਕਰਨ ਜੋਗੇ ਉਸ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਨੇ (ਜਿਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਉਤੇ) ਦਇਆ ਕੀਤੀ,
ਬੰਧਨ ਤੇ ਹੋਈ ਛੁਟਕਾਰ ॥੭॥
banDhan tay ho-ee chhutkaar. ||7||
he got liberated from the bonds of the love for Maya, the worldly riches. ||7||
ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਮਿਲ ਗਈ ॥੭॥
ਸਭਿ ਥਾਨ ਦੇਖੇ ਨੈਣ ਅਲੋਇ ॥
sabh thaan daykhay nain alo-ay.
One who looks everywhere with eyes wide open,
ਜੇਹਡਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਖੋਹਲ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਥਾਂ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਦੂਜਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
tis bin doojaa avar na ko-ay.
he sees no one else other than Him.
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਦੂਜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ।
ਭ੍ਰਮ ਭੈ ਛੂਟੇ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦ ॥
bharam bhai chhootay gur parsaad.
By the Guru’s grace all his doubts and dreads vanish.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਵਹਿਮ ਸਾਰੇ ਡਰ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਨਾਨਕ ਪੇਖਿਓ ਸਭੁ ਬਿਸਮਾਦ ॥੮॥੪॥
naanak paykhi-o sabh bismaad. ||8||4||
O’ Nanak! he experiences the wondrous God everywhere. ||8||4||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਉਸ ਅਸਚਰਜ-ਰੂਪ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੮॥੪॥

Raag Raamkalee, Fifth Guru:
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਪੇਖੀਅਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਗਲ ਤੁਮਾਰੀ ਧਾਰਨਾ ॥੧॥
jee-a jant sabh paykhee-ah parabh sagal tumaaree Dhaarnaa. ||1||
O’ God! all beings and creatures that are seen, depend on Your Support. ||1||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ ਜੰਤ ਜੋ ਦਿੱਸ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਆਸਰੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਉਧਾਰਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ih man har kai naam uDhaarnaa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
This mind can be saved from evils only by remembering God’s Name with adoration. ||1||Pause||
ਇਸ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੀ ਵਿਕਾਰਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਥਾਪਿ ਉਥਾਪੇ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਸਭਿ ਕਰਤੇ ਕੇ ਕਾਰਨਾ ॥੨॥
khin meh thaap uthaapay kudrat sabh kartay kay kaarnaa. ||2|
God creates and destroys the creation in an instant, all these are plays of the Creator. ||2||
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਇਸ ਰਚਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਖਿਨ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਫਿਰ ਨਾਸ ਭੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਦੇ ਹੀ ਖੇਲ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਲੋਭੁ ਝੂਠੁ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਬਿਦਾਰਨਾ ॥੩॥
kaam kroDh lobh jhooth nindaa saaDhoo sang bidaarnaa. ||3||
Lust, anger, greed, falsehood and slander can be removed in the company of the Guru. ||3||
ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਲੋਭ ਝੂਠ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਆਦਿਕ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ (ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਚੀਰ ਫਾੜ ਕੇ) ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੂਖੇ ਸੂਖਿ ਗੁਦਾਰਨਾ ॥੪॥
naam japat man nirmal hovai sookhay sookh gudaarnaa. ||4||
By remembering God with adoration, mind becomes immaculate and life passes in absolute spiritual peace. ||4||
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਿਆਂ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ) ਮਨ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ) ਨਿਰੋਲ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਬੀਤਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੪॥
ਭਗਤ ਸਰਣਿ ਜੋ ਆਵੈ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਤਿਸੁ ਈਹਾ ਊਹਾ ਨ ਹਾਰਨਾ ॥੫॥
bhagat saran jo aavai paraanee tis eehaa oohaa na haarnaa. ||5||
One who comes to the refuge of God’s devotees, does not lose the game of human life here or hereafter. ||5||
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਤੇ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਹਾਰਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ॥੫॥
ਸੂਖ ਦੂਖ ਇਸੁ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਆਗੈ ਸਾਰਨਾ ॥੬॥
sookh dookh is man kee birthaa tum hee aagai saarnaa. ||6||
O’ God, the state of our mind, in sorrow or in pleasure, can only be addressed to You. ||6||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਇਸ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਹੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੬॥
ਤੂ ਦਾਤਾ ਸਭਨਾ ਜੀਆ ਕਾ ਆਪਨ ਕੀਆ ਪਾਲਨਾ ॥੭॥
too daataa sabhnaa jee-aa kaa aapan kee-aa paalnaa. ||7||
O’ God! You are the benefactor of all beings and You are the sustainer of Your creation. ||7||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪਾਲਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੭॥
ਅਨਿਕ ਬਾਰ ਕੋਟਿ ਜਨ ਊਪਰਿ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਵੰਞੈ ਵਾਰਨਾ ॥੮॥੫॥
anik baar kot jan oopar naanak vanjai vaarnaa. ||8||5||
O’ God, Nanak is dedicated to Your devotees millions of times. ||8||5||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇਰੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ (ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ) ਤੋਂ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਵਾਰੀ ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਵਾਰੀ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੮॥੫॥

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik-oNkaar satgur parsaad.
One eternal God, realized by the grace of the True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਦਰਸਨੁ ਭੇਟਤ ਪਾਪ ਸਭਿ ਨਾਸਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਦੇਇ ਮਿਲਾਈ ॥੧॥
darsan bhaytat paap sabh naaseh har si-o day-ay milaa-ee. ||1||
Beholding the blessed vision of the Guru and by following his teachings, all sins of a person vanish, and the Guru unites that person with God. ||1||
ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਗੁਰੂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ॥
mayraa gur parmaysar sukh-daa-ee.
My Divine-Guru is the benefactor of celestial peace,
ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ਰ (ਦਾ ਰੂਪ) ਹੈ, ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ,
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਏ ਅੰਤੇ ਹੋਇ ਸਖਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
paarbarahm kaa naam drirh-aa-ay antay ho-ay sakhaa-ee. ||1|| rahaa-o.
The Guru) firmly implants the Name of the Supreme God within us and also becomes our friend in the end. ||1||Pause||
ਗੁਰੂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਪੱਕਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਅਖ਼ੀਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਭੀ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ) ਮਿੱਤਰ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸਗਲ ਦੂਖ ਕਾ ਡੇਰਾ ਭੰਨਾ ਸੰਤ ਧੂਰਿ ਮੁਖਿ ਲਾਈ ॥੨॥
sagal dookh kaa dayraa bhannaa sant Dhoor mukh laa-ee. ||2||
One who humbily followed the Guru’s teachings, the source of all his sufferings vanished ||2||
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ ਲਾਂਈ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਅੱਡਾ ਹੀ ਟੁੱਟ ਗਿਆ ॥੨॥
ਪਤਿਤ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਕੀਏ ਖਿਨ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਅਗਿਆਨੁ ਅੰਧੇਰੁ ਵੰਞਾਈ ॥੩॥
patit puneet kee-ay khin bheetar agi-aan anDhayr vanjaa-ee. ||3||
The Guru purified the sinners in an instant, and dispelled the darkness of their spiritual ignorance. ||3||
ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਵਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਖਿਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਲੋਂ ਬੇ-ਸਮਝੀ ਦਾ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੩॥
ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥੪॥
karan kaaran samrath su-aamee naanak tis sarnaa-ee. ||4||
O’ Nanak! the all powerful God is the cause of causes (the essence of the universe) and one can seek His refuge through the Guru’s grace. ||4||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਮੂਲ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸਭ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੀ) ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥
ਬੰਧਨ ਤੋੜਿ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਏ ਏਕ ਸਬਦਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੫॥
banDhan torh charan kamal drirh-aa-ay ayk sabad liv laa-ee. ||5||
Shattering the bonds of Maya, the Guru firmly enshrines God’s immaculate Name in one’s heart; he remains attuned to God through the Guru’s word. ||5||
(ਗੁਰੂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ) ਬੰਧਨ ਤੋੜ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨ ਪੱਕੇ ਟਿਕਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਗੁਰ-ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਸੁਰਤ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੫॥
ਅੰਧ ਕੂਪ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਤੇ ਕਾਢਿਓ ਸਾਚ ਸਬਦਿ ਬਣਿ ਆਈ ॥੬॥
anDh koop bikhi-aa tay kaadhi-o saach sabad ban aa-ee. ||6||
The love for the divine word of God’s praises wells up within the one whom the Guru pulls out of the dark-deep pit of Maya, the poison for spiritual life. ||6||
ਗੁਰੂ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਖੂਹ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਚੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੬॥
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਕਾ ਸਹਸਾ ਚੂਕਾ ਬਾਹੁੜਿ ਕਤਹੁ ਨ ਧਾਈ ॥੭॥
janam maran kaa sahsaa chookaa baahurh katahu na Dhaa-ee. ||7||
His fear of birth and death vanishes, and now he would not wander throuh incarnations anymore. ||7||
ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ) ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਦਾ ਸਹਿਮ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਫਿਰ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਤੇ (ਕਿਸੇ ਜੂਨ ਵਿਚ) ਨਹੀਂ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ॥੭॥
ਨਾਮ ਰਸਾਇਣਿ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਤਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਈ ॥੮॥
naam rasaa-in ih man raataa amrit pee tariptaa-ee. ||8||
When the mind of a person gets imbued with the elixir of Naam, then partaking the ambrosial nectar, he becomes satiated from the yearning for Maya. ||8||
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਮਨ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਪੀ ਕੇ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਵਲੋਂ) ਰੱਜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੮॥
ਸੰਤਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਗਾਇਆ ਨਿਹਚਲ ਵਸਿਆ ਜਾਈ ॥੯॥
satsang mil keertan gaa-i-aa nihchal vasi-aa jaa-ee. ||9||
He, who started singing God’s praises in the company of the Guru, dwells in a state of spiritual-poise forever. ||9||
ਗੁਰੂ-ਸੰਤ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਹ ਕਦੇ ਨਾਹ ਡੋਲਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਟਿਕਾਣੇ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੯॥
ਪੂਰੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੀ ਮਤਿ ਦੀਨੀ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਆਨ ਨ ਭਾਈ ॥੧੦॥
poorai gur pooree mat deenee har bin aan na bhaa-ee. ||10||
One whom the perfect Guru blessed with the perfect teachings about righteous life, nothing else except God pleases him. ||10||
(ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ) ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਾਰੇ) ਪੂਰੀ ਸਮਝ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ (ਦੁਨੀਆਵੀ ਚੀਜ਼) ਪਿਆਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦੀ ॥੧੦॥
ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਰਕਿ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੧੧॥
naam niDhaan paa-i-aa vadbhaagee naanak narak na jaa-ee. ||11||
O’ Nanak! one who has received the treasure of Naam by good fortune, he would never endure hell-like worldly sufferings. ||11||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੇ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ) ਨਾਮ-ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ, ਉਹ (ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ) ਨਰਕ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ ॥੧੧॥
ਘਾਲ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਉਕਤਿ ਨ ਮੇਰੀ ਪੂਰੈ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਮਾਈ ॥੧੨॥
ghaal si-aanap ukat na mayree poorai guroo kamaa-ee. ||12||
I do not have the support of any of my hard work, wisdom or strategy; it is the blessings of the perfect Guru that I received the treasure of Naam. ||12||
ਕਿਸੇ ਮਿਹਨਤ, ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਯੁਕਤੀ, ਦੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਟੇਕ-ਓਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਹੈ (ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ) ॥੧੨॥
ਜਪ ਤਪ ਸੰਜਮ ਸੁਚਿ ਹੈ ਸੋਈ ਆਪੇ ਕਰੇ ਕਰਾਈ ॥੧੩॥
jap tap sanjam such hai so-ee aapay karay karaa-ee. ||13||
To follow the Guru’s teachings for me is the worship, penance, austerity and purity of the body; the Guru himself blesses me and engages me to devotional worship of God. ||13||
ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਣਾ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਜਪ ਤਪ ਸੰਜਮ ਅਤੇ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰਤਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੈਥੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੩॥
ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਕਲਤ੍ਰ ਮਹਾ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਮਹਿ ਗੁਰਿ ਸਾਚੈ ਲਾਇ ਤਰਾਈ ॥੧੪॥
putar kaltar mahaa bikhi-aa meh gur saachai laa-ay taraa-ee. ||14||
In spite of being in the midst of the attachment for my sons, wife and the love for Maya, the Guru ferried me accros the world ocean of vices by uniting me with the eternal God. ||14||
ਪੁੱਤਰ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਤੇ ਬਲ ਵਾਲੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾ ਲਿਆ ॥੧੪॥
