ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

One eternal God, realized by the grace of the True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਖੀ ਆਉ ਸਖੀ ਵਸਿ ਆਉ ਸਖੀ ਅਸੀ ਪਿਰ ਕਾ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਗਾਵਹ ॥
sakhee aa-o sakhee vas aa-o sakhee asee pir kaa mangal gaavah.
Come, O my friends and companions; let us live by the will of our Husband-God and sing the blissful songs of His praises.
ਹੇ ਸਹੇਲੀਏ! ਆਓ (ਰਲ ਕੇ ਬੈਠੀਏ) ਹੇ ਸਹੇਲੀਏ! ਆਓ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਵਿਚ ਤੁਰੀਏ, ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਵੀਏ।
ਤਜਿ ਮਾਨੁ ਸਖੀ ਤਜਿ ਮਾਨੁ ਸਖੀ ਮਤੁ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਭਾਵਹ ॥
taj maan sakhee taj maan sakhee mat aapnay pareetam bhaavah.
O’ my dear friend, renounce your ego; yes renounce your egotistical pride, perhaps in this way we may become pleasing to our Beloved.
ਹੇ ਸਹੇਲੀਏ! ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ, (ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ, ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਲੱਗ ਸਕੀਏ।
ਤਜਿ ਮਾਨੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਬਿਕਾਰੁ ਦੂਜਾ ਸੇਵਿ ਏਕੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੋ ॥
taj maan moh bikaar doojaa sayv ayk niranjano.
Renounce your ego, emotional attachment, the evil of duality and remember only the one immaculate God with adoration.
ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ, ਮੋਹ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਾਲਾ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ, ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰ ।
ਲਗੁ ਚਰਣ ਸਰਣ ਦਇਆਲ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸਗਲ ਦੁਰਤ ਬਿਖੰਡਨੋ ॥
lag charan saran da-i-aal pareetam sagal durat bikhandno.
Hold tight to the support of the merciful God’s Name, the destroyer of all sins.
ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਇਆ ਦੇ ਸੋਮੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਓਟ ਪਕੜੀ ਰੱਖ।
ਹੋਇ ਦਾਸ ਦਾਸੀ ਤਜਿ ਉਦਾਸੀ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਬਿਧੀ ਨ ਧਾਵਾ ॥
ho-ay daas daasee taj udaasee bahurh biDhee na Dhaavaa.
(O’ friend! pray that), renouncing my despair, I may become the servant of God’s devotees and may not wander in other ritualistic paths.
ਹੇ ਸਹੇਲੀਏ! ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰ,ਕਿ ਆਪਣੀ ਉਦਾਸੀਨਤਾ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਾਸੀ ਬਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੜ ਹੋਰ ਹੋਰ ਪਾਸੇ ਨਾਹ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਫਿਰਾਂl
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਪਇਅੰਪੈ ਕਰਹੁ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤਾਮਿ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਗਾਵਾ ॥੧॥
naanak pa-i-ampai karahu kirpaa taam mangal gaavaa. ||1||
Nanak submits, O’ God! bestow mercy so that I may sing blissful songs in Your praises. ||1||
ਨਾਨਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ- ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰੇਂ, ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਗਾ ਸਕਾਂਗਾ ॥੧॥
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੈ ਅੰਧੁਲੇ ਟੋਹਨੀ ॥
amrit pari-a kaa naam mai anDhulay tohnee.
The ambrosial Name of Beloved-God is the support of my life; it is like walking stick to a blind man.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ ਮੇਰੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਡੰਗੋਰੀ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਓਹ ਜੋਹੈ ਬਹੁ ਪਰਕਾਰ ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਮੋਹਨੀ ॥
oh johai baho parkaar sundar mohnee.
The beautiful Maya, the worldly riches and power, keeps an eye on mortals and seduces them in many ways.
ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਫਸਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੁੰਦਰੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਕਈ ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਾੜਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਮੋਹਨੀ ਮਹਾ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰਿ ਚੰਚਲਿ ਅਨਿਕ ਭਾਵ ਦਿਖਾਵਏ ॥
mohnee mahaa bachitar chanchal anik bhaav dikhaava-ay.
Maya, the enticer has many forms, is very clever and exhibits innumerable seducing gestures.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਕਈ ਰੰਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਹਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਚੰਚਲ ਮਾਇਆ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਨਖ਼ਰੇ ਵਿਖਾਂਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਹੋਇ ਢੀਠ ਮੀਠੀ ਮਨਹਿ ਲਾਗੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਲੈਣ ਨ ਆਵਏ ॥
ho-ay dheeth meethee maneh laagai naam lain na aav-ay.
Becoming stubborn, Maya keeps alluring people till it becomes pleasing to their minds; then the thought of remembering God does not come to their mind.
ਢੀਠ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਲੱਗਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਅਸਰ ਹੇਠ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਬਨਹਿ ਤੀਰੈ ਬਰਤ ਪੂਜਾ ਬਾਟ ਘਾਟੈ ਜੋਹਨੀ ॥
garih baneh teerai barat poojaa baat ghaatai johnee.
Maya keeps an eye on the house-holders, the hermits, people dwelling along the sacred rivers, and all others who engage in rituals like fasts and idol worship.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਤ ਵਿਚ (ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ) ਜੰਗਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ (ਤਿਆਗੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ), ਤੀਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ (ਤੀਰਥ-ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ), ਵਰਤ (ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ) ਦੇਵ-ਪੂਜਾ (ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ), ਰਾਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ, ਪੱਤਣਾਂ ਤੇ (ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਇਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਆਪਣੀ) ਤਾੜ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਪਇਅੰਪੈ ਦਇਆ ਧਾਰਹੁ ਮੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਅੰਧੁਲੇ ਟੋਹਨੀ ॥੨॥
naanak pa-i-ampai da-i-aa Dhaarahu mai naam anDhulay tohnee. ||2||
Nanak humbly prays: O’ God, bestow mercy and bless me with the support of Your Name, which is like a walking stick for a blind person. ||2||
ਨਾਨਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ- ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਦੇਈ ਰੱਖ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਡੰਗੋਰੀ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਮੋਹਿ ਅਨਾਥ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਨਾਥ ਜਿਉ ਜਾਨਹੁ ਤਿਉ ਰਖਹੁ ॥
mohi anaath pari-a naath ji-o jaanhu ti-o rakhahu.
O’ my beloved Master-God! I am helpless, save me (from the bonds of Maya), as it pleases You.
ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ, (ਇਸ ਮੋਹਣੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪੰਜੇ ਤੋਂ) ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਿਮਾਣੇ ਨੂੰ (ਬਚਾ ਕੇ) ਰੱਖ।
ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ਮੋਹਿ ਨਾਹਿ ਰੀਝਾਵਉ ਕਹਿ ਮੁਖਹੁ ॥
chaturaa-ee mohi naahi reejhaava-o kahi mukhahu.
I have no wisdom or cleverness, that I may utter some words from my mouth to please You.
ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਕੋਈ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ (ਕੁਝ) ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਕਰ ਸਕਾਂ।
ਨਹ ਚਤੁਰਿ ਸੁਘਰਿ ਸੁਜਾਨ ਬੇਤੀ ਮੋਹਿ ਨਿਰਗੁਨਿ ਗੁਨੁ ਨਹੀ ॥
nah chatur sughar sujaan baytee mohi nirgun gun nahee.
I am not clever, skillful, wise or farsighted; I am worthless, without any virtue.
ਮੈਂ ਚਤੁਰ ਨਹੀਂ, ਮੈਂ ਚੰਗੀ ਮਾਨਸਕ ਘਾੜਤ ਵਾਲੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਮੈਂ ਸਿਆਣੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਮੈਂ ਚੰਗੀ ਸੂਝ ਵਾਲੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਮੈਂ ਗੁਣ-ਹੀਨ ਵਿਚ (ਕੋਈ ਭੀ) ਗੁਣ ਨਹੀਂ।
ਨਹ ਰੂਪ ਧੂਪ ਨ ਨੈਣ ਬੰਕੇ ਜਹ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਹ ਰਖੁ ਤੁਹੀ ॥
nah roop Dhoop na nain bankay jah bhaavai tah rakh tuhee.
I have neither beauty, nor pleasing smell of virtues, nor beautiful eyes; O’ God! protect me as it pleases You.
ਨਾਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ, ਨਾਹ ਚੰਗੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੁਗੰਧੀ ਹੈ ਨਾਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਾਂਕੇ ਨੈਣ ਹਨ, ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ!-ਜਿੱਥੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਹੈ ਉਥੇ ਹੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਰੱਖ l
ਜੈ ਜੈ ਜਇਅੰਪਹਿ ਸਗਲ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਕਰੁਣਾਪਤਿ ਗਤਿ ਕਿਨਿ ਲਖਹੁ ॥
jai jai ja-i-ampeh sagal jaa ka-o karunaapat gat kin lakhahu.
How could I know about the state of that merciful Master-God whose praises are uttered by all?
ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ ਉਚਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮੈਂ ਉੱਸ ਰਹਿਮਤ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਾਣ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ l
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਪਇਅੰਪੈ ਸੇਵ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਜਿਉ ਜਾਨਹੁ ਤਿਉ ਮੋਹਿ ਰਖਹੁ ॥੩॥
naanak pa-i-ampai sayv sayvak ji-o jaanhu ti-o mohi rakhahu. ||3||
Prays Nanak, O’ God! I am the humble servant of Your devotees; save me (from the allurements of Maya) as it pleases You. ||3||
ਨਾਨਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ-ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ) ਸੇਵਕ ਹਾਂ (ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ) ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ (ਬਖ਼ਸ਼) ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ (ਇਸ ਮੋਹਣੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾਈ ਰੱਖ ॥੩॥
ਮੋਹਿ ਮਛੁਲੀ ਤੁਮ ਨੀਰ ਤੁਝ ਬਿਨੁ ਕਿਉ ਸਰੈ ॥
mohi machhulee tum neer tujh bin ki-o sarai.
O’ God, I am like a fish, and You are like water, how can I live without You?
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਮੱਛੀ (ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਤੂੰ (ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ) ਪਾਣੀ ਹੈ, ਤੈਥੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਜੀਊਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਮੋਹਿ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਬੂੰਦ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਉ ਮੁਖਿ ਪਰੈ ॥
mohi chaatrik tumH boond taripta-o mukh parai.
O’ God! I am like the rainbird and You are like the rain-drop; I am satiated only when the rain drop of Naam falls in my mouth.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਪਪੀਹੇ (ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਤੂੰ (ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ) ਵਰਖਾ ਦੀ ਬੂੰਦ ਹੈ, ਮੈਨੂੰ (ਤਦੋਂ) ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ (ਜਦੋਂ ਨਾਮ-ਬੂੰਦ ਮੇਰੇ) ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਮੁਖਿ ਪਰੈ ਹਰੈ ਪਿਆਸ ਮੇਰੀ ਜੀਅ ਹੀਆ ਪ੍ਰਾਨਪਤੇ ॥
mukh parai harai pi-aas mayree jee-a hee-aa paranpatay.
O’ God, the master of my soul, life and heart, when the nectar of Naam falls into my mouth, my yearning for Maya is quenched.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਈਂ! ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਥ ਜਦੋਂ ਨਾਮ-ਬੂੰਦ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਲਾਡਿਲੇ ਲਾਡ ਲਡਾਇ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਮਿਲੁ ਹਮਾਰੀ ਹੋਇ ਗਤੇ ॥
laadilay laad ladaa-ay sabh meh mil hamaaree ho-ay gatay.
O’ dear God! pervading all, You fondle them; please help me realize You, so that I may be emancipated.
ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ, ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਡ ਲਡਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ i ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ,ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੀ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ l
ਚੀਤਿ ਚਿਤਵਉ ਮਿਟੁ ਅੰਧਾਰੇ ਜਿਉ ਆਸ ਚਕਵੀ ਦਿਨੁ ਚਰੈ ॥
cheet chitva-o mit anDhaaray ji-o aas chakvee din charai.
O’ God, as chakwi (duck) longs to see the dawn, likewise I keep remembering You in my mind, hoping for the darkness of my spiritual ignorance to disappear.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਿਵੇਂ ਚਕਵੀ ਆਸ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਦਿਨ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਭੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੀ ਹਾਂ।
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਪਇਅੰਪੈ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਸੰਗਿ ਮੇਲੀ ਮਛੁਲੀ ਨੀਰੁ ਨ ਵੀਸਰੈ ॥੪॥
naanak pa-i-ampai pari-a sang maylee machhulee neer na veesrai. ||4||
Prays Nanak, O my beloved God, please unite me with You; Just as fish never fogets water, similarly I cannot forget You. ||4||
ਨਾਨਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ-ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ (ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ) ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਲੈ, (ਮੈਂ) ਮੱਛੀ ਨੂੰ (ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ-) ਪਾਣੀ ਭੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੪॥
ਧਨਿ ਧੰਨਿ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਭਾਗ ਘਰਿ ਆਇਆ ਪਿਰੁ ਮੇਰਾ ॥
Dhan Dhan hamaaray bhaag ghar aa-i-aa pir mayraa.
O’ my friends, I feel extremely blessed, because I have realized my Husband-God dwelling in my heart.
ਹੇ ਸਹੇਲੀਏ! (ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-) ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਮੇਰਾ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਪਤੀ ਆ ਵੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਗ ਜਾਗ ਪਏ ਹਨ।
ਸੋਹੇ ਬੰਕ ਦੁਆਰ ਸਗਲਾ ਬਨੁ ਹਰਾ ॥
sohay bank du-aar saglaa ban haraa.
All my sense organs have become embellished and strong against the evil thoughts and my spiritual life is rejuvenated.
ਮੇਰੇ ਇਸ ਸਰੀਰ-ਘਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ (ਸਾਰੇ ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰੇ) ਸੋਹਣੇ ਬਣ ਗਏ ਹਨ ( ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਲ ਖਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਂਦੇ), ਮੇਰਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਜੂਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਹਰ ਹਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੁਖਹ ਗਾਮੀ ਅਨਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਰਸੁ ਘਣਾ ॥
har haraa su-aamee sukhah gaamee anad mangal ras ghanaa.
I feel extremely elated with joy and blissful by realizing God, the benefactor of celestial peace and prosperity to all.
ਸਭ ਠੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਭਰਾ ਕਰਠ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਸਦਕਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ, ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁਆਦ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਨਵਲ ਨਵਤਨ ਨਾਹੁ ਬਾਲਾ ਕਵਨ ਰਸਨਾ ਗੁਨ ਭਣਾ ॥
naval navtan naahu baalaa kavan rasnaa gun bhanaa.
My youthful Master-God is always fresh and full of energy; which of His virtues may I utter with my tongue.
ਮੇਰਾ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਨਵਾਂ ਹੈ ਜੁਆਨ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਦੇ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ)। ਮੈਂ (ਆਪਣੀ) ਜੀਭ ਨਾਲ (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਕਿਹੜੇ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਗੁਣ ਦੱਸਾਂ?
ਮੇਰੀ ਸੇਜ ਸੋਹੀ ਦੇਖਿ ਮੋਹੀ ਸਗਲ ਸਹਸਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਹਰਾ ॥

I am fascinated by experiencing His vision, my heart is embellished and all my doubts and misery are dispelled.
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਮਸਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹਾਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਹਿਰਦਾ-ਸੇਜ ਸਜ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਹਿਮ ਤੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਪਇਅੰਪੈ ਮੇਰੀ ਆਸ ਪੂਰੀ ਮਿਲੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਪਰੰਪਰਾ ॥੫॥੧॥੩॥
