ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਸੁਣੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਿ ॥
bhagat janaa kee bayntee sunee parabh aap.
God Himself has listened to the prayer of His devotees.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਰਜ਼ੋਈ (ਸਦਾ) ਸੁਣੀ ਹੈ l
ਰੋਗ ਮਿਟਾਇ ਜੀਵਾਲਿਅਨੁ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਵਡ ਪਰਤਾਪੁ ॥੧॥
rog mitaa-ay jeevaali-an jaa kaa vad partaap. ||1||
That God whose glory is great, has dispelled the afflictions of the devotees and has spiritually rejuvenated them. ||1||
ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਤੇਜ-ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਹੈ।ਉਸ ਨੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਰੋਗ ਮਿਟਾ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਦੋਖ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਬਖਸਿਅਨੁ ਅਪਣੀ ਕਲ ਧਾਰੀ ॥
dokh hamaaray bakhsi-an apnee kal Dhaaree.
God has forgiven us for our sins, and has infused his power within us.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਾਪ ਮਾਫ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਭਰੀ ਹੈ।
ਮਨ ਬਾਂਛਤ ਫਲ ਦਿਤਿਅਨੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥੨॥੧੬॥੮੦॥
man baaNchhat fal diti-an naanak balihaaree. ||2||16||80||
O’ Nanak, God has always blessed us with the fruits of our mind’s desire; I am dedicated to Him. ||2||16||80||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਸਦਾ ਮਨ-ਮੰਗੇ ਫਲ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ, ਮੈ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੨॥੧੬॥੮੦॥

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik-oNkaar satgur parsaad.
One eternal God, realized by the grace of the True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਮੇਰੇ ਮੋਹਨ ਸ੍ਰਵਨੀ ਇਹ ਨ ਸੁਨਾਏ ॥
mayray mohan sarvanee ih na sunaa-ay.
O’ my fascinating God, let my ears not hear,
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੋਹਨ! ਮੇਰੀ ਕੰਨੀਂ ਨਾਹ ਪੈਣ,
ਸਾਕਤ ਗੀਤ ਨਾਦ ਧੁਨਿ ਗਾਵਤ ਬੋਲਤ ਬੋਲ ਅਜਾਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
saakat geet naad Dhun gaavat bolat bol ajaa-ay. ||1|| rahaa-o.
a faithless cynic singing songs, tunes and chanting useless words. ||1||Pause||
ਅਧਰਮੀ ਦਾ ਗੀਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰੀਲੇ ਰਾਗਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਲਾਪਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਹੂਦਾ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਚਾਰਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸੇਵਤ ਸੇਵਿ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਾਧ ਸੇਵਉ ਸਦਾ ਕਰਉ ਕਿਰਤਾਏ ॥
sayvat sayv sayv saaDh sayva-o sadaa kara-o kirtaa-ay.
I wish that I may always follow the Guru’s teachings and keep doing it forever.
ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆ ਰਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਇਹੀ ਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ।
ਅਭੈ ਦਾਨੁ ਪਾਵਉ ਪੁਰਖ ਦਾਤੇ ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ॥੧॥
abhai daan paava-o purakh daatay mil sangat har gun gaa-ay. ||1||
O’ the all pervading benefactor God! bestow mercy, that I may receive the gift of fearlessness by singing your praises in the Guru’s company. ||1||
ਹੇ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਦਾਤਾਰ! ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ, ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਨਿਰਭੈਤਾ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਾਂ ॥੧॥
ਰਸਨਾ ਅਗਹ ਅਗਹ ਗੁਨ ਰਾਤੀ ਨੈਨ ਦਰਸ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਾਏ ॥
rasnaa agah agah gun raatee nain daras rang laa-ay.
O’ unfathomable God, may my tongue remain imbued with Your praises, and my eyes may remain drenched with Your blessed vision.
ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣ ਮਾਣ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜੀਭ ਤੈਂ ਅਪਹੁੰਚ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਤੀ ਰਹੇ।
ਹੋਹੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਦੀਨ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਮੋਹਿ ਚਰਣ ਰਿਦੈ ਵਸਾਏ ॥੨॥
hohu kirpaal deen dukh bhanjan mohi charan ridai vasaa-ay. ||2||
O’ God! the destroyer of sufferings of the meeks, be merciful on me and enshrine Your immaculate Name in my heart. ||2||
ਹੇ ਦੀਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ! (ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ) ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੋ, ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਈ ਰੱਖ ॥੨॥
ਸਭਹੂ ਤਲੈ ਤਲੈ ਸਭ ਊਪਰਿ ਏਹ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਾਏ ॥
sabhhoo talai talai sabh oopar ayh darisat daristaa-ay.
O’ God, bless me with such humility that I may consider myself the lowliest of all and everyone else as having higher virtues than me.
ਹੇ ਮੋਹਨ! ਮੇਰੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਨੀਵਾਂ ਸਮਝਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ l
ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ਖੋਇ ਖੋਇ ਖੋਇ ਖੋਈ ਹਉ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਏ ॥੩॥
abhimaan kho-ay kho-ay kho-ay kho-ee ha-o mo ka-o satgur mantar drirh-aa-ay. ||3||
O’ God! firmly instill the true Guru’s mantra (teachings) in my heart that I may absolutely shed all my ego. ||3||
ਹੇ ਮੋਹਨ! ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਪੱਕਾ ਕਰ ਦੇ, ਤਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂ ॥੩॥
ਅਤੁਲੁ ਅਤੁਲੁ ਅਤੁਲੁ ਨਹ ਤੁਲੀਐ ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲੁ ਕਿਰਪਾਏ ॥
atul atul atul nah tulee-ai bhagat vachhal kirpaa-ay.
O’ God! Your virtues are beyond any estimation; You are merciful to all and the lover of your loving devotion.
ਹੇ ਮੋਹਨ! ਤੇਰੇ ਵਡੱਪਣ ਨੂੰ ਤੋਲਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ, ਤੂੰ ਭਗਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਉਤੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਸਰਣਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਅਭੈ ਦਾਨੁ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਏ ॥੪॥੧॥੮੧॥
jo jo saran pari-o gur naanak abhai daan sukh paa-ay. ||4||1||81||
O’ Nanak, whoever follows the Guru’s teachings, receives the gift of fearlessness and enjoys bliss. ||4||||1||81||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਨਿਰਭੈਤਾ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ,ਅਤੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧॥੮੧॥

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀ ਤੂ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਅਧਾਰੈ ॥

O’ reverend God! You are the very support of my life.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ! ਤੂੰ (ਹੀ) ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਡੰਡਉਤਿ ਬੰਦਨਾ ਅਨਿਕ ਬਾਰ ਜਾਉ ਬਾਰੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
namaskaar dand-ut bandnaa anik baar jaa-o baarai. ||1|| rahaa-o.
O’ God! I bow in humility and reverence to You; again and again, I dedicate myself to You. ||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਚੁਫਾਲ ਲੰਮਾ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਵਾਰੀ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਊਠਤ ਬੈਠਤ ਸੋਵਤ ਜਾਗਤ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਤੁਝਹਿ ਚਿਤਾਰੈ ॥
oothat baithat sovat jaagat ih man tujheh chitaarai.
O’ God, at all times, whether sitting, standing, sleeping or awake, this mind of mine remembers You with adoration.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਉਠਦਿਆਂ ਬਹਿੰਦਿਆਂ, ਸੁੱਤਿਆਂ, ਜਾਗਦਿਆਂ (ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ) ਮੇਰਾ ਇਹ ਮਨ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸੂਖ ਦੂਖ ਇਸੁ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਤੁਝ ਹੀ ਆਗੈ ਸਾਰੈ ॥੧॥
sookh dookh is man kee birthaa tujh hee aagai saarai. ||1||
Whether peace or sorrow, whatever is the state of this mind, it narrates before You. ||1||
ਮੇਰਾ ਇਹ ਮਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਪੀੜਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਅੱਗੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਤੂ ਮੇਰੀ ਓਟ ਬਲ ਬੁਧਿ ਧਨੁ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਤੁਮਹਿ ਮੇਰੈ ਪਰਵਾਰੈ ॥
too mayree ot bal buDh Dhan tum hee tumeh mayrai parvaarai.
O’ God!, You are my support, strength, intellect and wealth; for me, You are also my family.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੈਂ, ਮੇਰਾ ਤਾਣ ਹੈਂ, ਮੇਰੀ ਅਕਲ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਧਨ ਹੈਂ; ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਰਵਾਰ ਹੈਂ।
ਜੋ ਤੁਮ ਕਰਹੁ ਸੋਈ ਭਲ ਹਮਰੈ ਪੇਖਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਖ ਚਰਨਾਰੈ ॥੨॥੨॥੮੨॥
jo tum karahu so-ee bhal hamrai paykh naanak sukh charnaarai. ||2||2||82||
O’ Nanak! say, O’ God! whatever You do, I know that is good for me; I find celestial peace by meditating on Your immaculate Name. ||2||2||82||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਤੂੰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਉਹੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਹੈ। ਤੇਰੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੨॥੮੨॥

Raag Bilaaval, Fifth Guru:
ਸੁਨੀਅਤ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤਉ ਸਗਲ ਉਧਾਰਨ ॥
sunee-at parabh ta-o sagal uDhaaran.
O’ God, it is heard that You are everyone’s savior from vices.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਸੁਣੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ,
ਮੋਹ ਮਗਨ ਪਤਿਤ ਸੰਗਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀ ਐਸੇ ਮਨਹਿ ਬਿਸਾਰਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
moh magan patit sang paraanee aisay maneh bisaaran. ||1|| rahaa-o.
But being engrossed in worldly attachment and in the company of apostate persons, people have forsaken such a God from their mind. ||1||Pause||
ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਡੁੱਬੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਪਤਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਤੋਂ ਭੁਲਾ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸੰਚਿ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਲੇ ਗ੍ਰਾਹਜੁ ਕੀਨੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਡਾਰਨ ॥
sanch bikhi-aa lay garaahaj keenee amrit man tay daaran.
People amass worldly riches and grasp it firmly, but cast away the ambrosial nectar of Naam from their mind.
ਜੀਵ ਮਾਇਆ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਹਿਣ ਕਰਨ-ਜੋਗ ਬਣਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਸੁੱਟ ਦੇਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਲੋਭ ਰਤੁ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਸਤੁ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ਬਿਦਾਰਨ ॥੧॥
kaam kroDh lobh rat nindaa sat santokh bidaaran. ||1||
Being imbued with lust, anger, greed and slander, people have relinquished the truth and contentment. ||1||
ਜੀਵ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਲੋਭ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਸੰਤੋਖ ਆਦਿਕ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ॥੧॥
ਇਨ ਤੇ ਕਾਢਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਾਰਿ ਪਰੇ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ ਸਾਰਨ ॥
in tay kaadh layho mayray su-aamee haar paray tumH saaran.
O my Master-God! feeling totally defeated, we have come to Your refuge; kindly save us from these vices.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹਾਰ ਕੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨ ਆ ਪਏ ਹਾਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਲੈ ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਬੇਨੰਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਹਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਰੰਕ ਤਾਰਨ ॥੨॥੩॥੮੩॥
naanak kee baynantee parabh peh saaDhsang rank taaran. ||2||3||83||
O’ God! this is Nanak’s prayer before You; bless us with the company of the Guru and ferry the spiritually paupers across the world-ocean of vices. ||2||3||83||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਨਾਨਕ ਦੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਅਰਜ਼ੋਈ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਕੇ ਸੱਖਣੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਕਰ ਦੇ ॥੨॥੩॥੮੩॥

ਸੰਤਨ ਕੈ ਸੁਨੀਅਤ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਬਾਤ ॥
santan kai sunee-at parabh kee baat.
We listen to the divine word of God’s praises in the company of saintly people.
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਕਥਾ-ਵਾਰਤਾ (ਸਦਾ) ਸੁਣੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਕਥਾ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਆਨੰਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਧੁਨਿ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹੀ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਅਰੁ ਰਾਤਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
kathaa keertan aanand mangal Dhun poor rahee dinas ar raat. ||1|| rahaa-o.
In the holy congregation, there is a continuous deliberation and singing of God’s praises accompanied by blissful musical tunes day and night. ||1||Pause||
ਉਥੇ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਥਾ-ਕਹਾਣੀਆਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਕੀਰਤਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ-ਹੁਲਾਰਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਰੌ ਸਦਾ ਚਲੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਅਪਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕੀਨੇ ਨਾਮ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕੀ ਕੀਨੀ ਦਾਤਿ ॥
kar kirpaa apnay parabh keenay naam apunay kee keenee daat.
Bestowing mercy, God has accepted the saints as His devotees, and has blessed them with the gift of His Name.
ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਤ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਇਸੁ ਤਨ ਤੇ ਜਾਤ ॥੧॥
aath pahar gun gaavat parabh kay kaam kroDh is tan tay jaat. ||1||
By always singing praises of God, the evils like lust and anger go away from their mind. ||1||
ਅੱਠੇ ਪਹਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਿਆਂ ਗਾਂਦਿਆਂ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ) ਇਸ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ (ਆਦਿਕ ਵਿਕਾਰ) ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
