ਸ੍ਰਮੁ ਕਰਤੇ ਦਮ ਆਢ ਕਉ ਤੇ ਗਨੀ ਧਨੀਤਾ ॥੩॥
saram kartay dam aadh ka-o tay ganee Dhaneetaa. ||3||
Those who were working hard for every penny, are counted amongst very wealthy. ||3||
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਅੱਧੀ ਅੱਧੀ ਕੌਡੀ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਧੱਕੇ ਖਾਂਦੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਦੌਲਤ-ਮੰਦ ਧਨਾਢ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
ਕਵਨ ਵਡਾਈ ਕਹਿ ਸਕਉ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਗੁਨੀਤਾ ॥
kavan vadaa-ee kahi saka-o bay-ant guneetaa.
O’ God of infinite virtues, which of Your glories can I describe?
ਹੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਾਲੇਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਕੇਹੜੀ ਕੇਹੜੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਦੱਸਾਂ?
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਮੋਹਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੇਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਰ ਸਰੀਤਾ ॥੪॥੭॥੩੭॥
kar kirpaa mohi naam dayh naanak dar sareetaa. ||4||7||37||
O’ God! say, O’ God, I am Your devotee, bestow mercy and bless me with Naam. ||4||7||37||

Raag Bilaaval, Fifth Guru:
ਅਹੰਬੁਧਿ ਪਰਬਾਦ ਨੀਤ ਲੋਭ ਰਸਨਾ ਸਾਦਿ ॥
ahaN-buDh parbaad neet lobh rasnaa saad.
One constantly remains engaged in conceited intellect, rude words of challenge, greed and enjoying the taste of the tongue.
ਜੀਵ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਅਕਲ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੰਗਾਰਨ ਦੇ ਖਰ੍ਹਵੇ ਬੋਲ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਦਾ ਲਾਲਚ ਅਤੇ ਜੀਭ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਦ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ;
ਲਪਟਿ ਕਪਟਿ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਬੇਧਿਆ ਮਿਥਿਆ ਬਿਖਿਆਦਿ ॥੧॥
lapat kapat garihi bayDhi-aa mithi-aa bikhi-aad. ||1||
He remains involved in deception, the household affairs and the illusions of Maya. ||1||
ਘਰ (ਦੇ ਮੋਹ) ਵਿਚ, ਠੱਗੀ-ਫ਼ਰੇਬ ਵਿਚ ਫਸ ਕੇ, ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਮਾਇਆ (ਦੇ ਮੋਹ) ਵਿਚ ਵਿੱਝਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਐਸੀ ਪੇਖੀ ਨੇਤ੍ਰ ਮਹਿ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
aisee paykhee naytar meh pooray gur parsaad.
By the perfect Guru’s grace I have seen with my own eyes,
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਅੱਖੀਂ ਹੀ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਵੇਖ ਲਈ ਹੈ,
ਰਾਜ ਮਿਲਖ ਧਨ ਜੋਬਨਾ ਨਾਮੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਬਾਦਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
raaj milakh Dhan jobnaa naamai bin baad. ||1|| rahaa-o.
that without God’s Name, powers of the kingdoms, property, wealth and youth are all in vain. ||1||Pause||
ਕਿ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀਆਂ, ਜ਼ਮੀਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਕੀ, ਧਨ ਅਤੇ ਜੁਆਨੀ ਆਦਿਕ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਰੂਪ ਧੂਪ ਸੋਗੰਧਤਾ ਕਾਪਰ ਭੋਗਾਦਿ ॥
roop Dhoop soganDh-taa kaapar bhogaad.
Beauty, incense, fragrances, beautiful clothes and dainty dishes,
ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ, ਧੂਪ ਆਦਿਕ ਸੁਗੰਧੀਆਂ, ਕੱਪੜੇ,ਅਤੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਖਾਣੇ-
ਮਿਲਤ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਾਪਿਸਟ ਤਨ ਹੋਏ ਦੁਰਗਾਦਿ ॥੨॥
milat sang paapisat tan ho-ay durgaad. ||2||
become useless for the great sinner without God’s Name as if they are foul smelling. ||2||
ਮਹਾ ਵਿਕਾਰੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਛੁਹ ਕੇ ਛੁਹ ਕੇ ਦੁਰਗੰਧੀ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
ਫਿਰਤ ਫਿਰਤ ਮਾਨੁਖੁ ਭਇਆ ਖਿਨ ਭੰਗਨ ਦੇਹਾਦਿ ॥
firat firat maanukh bha-i-aa khin bhangan dayhaad.
After wandering through many incarnations, the soul is incarnated as a human; but this human body can be shattered in an instant.
ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜੂਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਜੀਵ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਭੀ ਇਕ ਖਿਨ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ l
ਇਹ ਅਉਸਰ ਤੇ ਚੂਕਿਆ ਬਹੁ ਜੋਨਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਾਦਿ ॥੩॥
ih a-osar tay chooki-aa baho jon bharmaad. ||3||
Losing this opportunity to unite with God, soul would have to again wander through myriads of incarnations. ||3||
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਖੁੰਝਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਜੀਵ (ਫਿਰ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜੂਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲੇ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਸਮਾਦ ॥
parabh kirpaa tay gur milay har har bismaad.
By God’s grace, those who met with the Guru, meditated on the wondrous God,
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਚਰਜ-ਰੂਪ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ,
ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਨਾਨਕ ਅਨੰਦ ਤਾ ਕੈ ਪੂਰਨ ਨਾਦ ॥੪॥੮॥੩੮॥
sookh sahj naanak anand taa kai pooran naad. ||4||8||38||
O’ Nanak, they feel the perfect divine tunes of spiritual poise, peace and bliss playing within them. ||4||8||38||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਸੁਖ ਆਨੰਦ ਦੇ ਵਾਜੇ ਸਦਾ ਵੱਜਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ ॥੪॥੮॥੩੮॥

Raag Bilaaval, Fifth Guru:
ਚਰਨ ਭਏ ਸੰਤ ਬੋਹਿਥਾ ਤਰੇ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਜੇਤ ॥
charan bha-ay sant bohithaa taray saagar jayt.
The Guru’s divine words became like a ship for that person, riding which he crossed over the world-ocean of vices,
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਬਣ ਗਏ ਜਿਸ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਗਿਆ।
ਮਾਰਗ ਪਾਏ ਉਦਿਆਨ ਮਹਿ ਗੁਰਿ ਦਸੇ ਭੇਤ ॥੧॥
maarag paa-ay udi-aan meh gur dasay bhayt. ||1||
whom the Guru revealed the mystery of remembering God, and put him on the righteous path amidst the wilderness of sinful ways. ||1||
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਭੇਤ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸ ਦਿੱਤਾ,ਅਤੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਲ ਲੈ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਔਝੜ ਵਿਚ ਸਹੀ ਰਸਤੇ ਪਾ ਦਿਤਾ ॥੧॥
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹੇਤ ॥
har har har har har haray har har har hayt.
O’ brother, always cultivate the love for God,
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰ ਪਾ।
ਊਠਤ ਬੈਠਤ ਸੋਵਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਚੇਤ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
oothat baithat sovtay har har har chayt. ||1|| rahaa-o.
and always keep remembering God in each and every situation. ||1||Pause||
ਉਠਦਿਆਂ ਬੈਠਦਿਆਂ ਸੁੱਤਿਆਂ (ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਪੰਚ ਚੋਰ ਆਗੈ ਭਗੇ ਜਬ ਸਾਧਸੰਗੇਤ ॥
panch chor aagai bhagay jab saaDhsangayt.
When one joins the holy congregation, all of the five thieves (vices) run away from him.
ਜਦੋਂ (ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ (ਜਾ ਟਿਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ) ਪੰਜੇ ਚੋਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਟਾਕਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਭੱਜ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਪੂੰਜੀ ਸਾਬਤੁ ਘਣੋ ਲਾਭੁ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਸੋਭਾ ਸੇਤ ॥੨॥
poonjee saabat ghano laabh garihi sobhaa sayt. ||2||
His wealth of Naam remains intact, he earns huge profit of Naam and goes to his eternal home with honor. ||2||
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਨਾਮ-ਪੂੰਜੀ ਸਲਾਮਤ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਨਾਮ-ਵਣਜ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤਾ ਨਫ਼ਾ ਖੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਨਿਹਚਲ ਆਸਣੁ ਮਿਟੀ ਚਿੰਤ ਨਾਹੀ ਡੋਲੇਤ ॥
nihchal aasan mitee chint naahee dolayt.
His mind becomes stable; all his anxieties end and he does not yield to the vices.
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ-ਆਸਣ ਅਟੱਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਡੋਲਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ।
ਭਰਮੁ ਭੁਲਾਵਾ ਮਿਟਿ ਗਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪੇਖਤ ਨੇਤ ॥੩॥
bharam bhulaavaa mit ga-i-aa parabh paykhat nayt. ||3||
His doubts end and he sees God with his spiritually enlightened eyes. ||3||
ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਗੁਣ ਗਭੀਰ ਗੁਨ ਨਾਇਕਾ ਗੁਣ ਕਹੀਅਹਿ ਕੇਤ ॥
gun gabheer gun naa-ikaa gun kahee-ahi kayt.
God is like a deep ocean and treasure of virtues; how many of His virtues can we describe?
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਥਾਹ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ, ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕਿਤਨੇ ਕੁ ਗੁਣ ਕਹੇ ਜਾ ਸਕਣ?
ਨਾਨਕ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰੇਤ ॥੪॥੯॥੩੯॥
naanak paa-i-aa saaDhsang har har amrayt. ||4||9||39||
O’ Nanak, the person who partakes ambrosial nectar of Naam in the holy congregation, realizes God. ||4||9||39||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਜਲ ਪੀਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੯॥੩੯॥

Raag Bilaaval, Fifth Guru:
ਬਿਨੁ ਸਾਧੂ ਜੋ ਜੀਵਨਾ ਤੇਤੋ ਬਿਰਥਾਰੀ ॥
bin saaDhoo jo jeevnaa tayto birthaaree.
Life lived without the Guru’s teachings goes to waste.
ਗੁਰੂ (ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ) ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਜਿਤਨੀ ਭੀ ਉਮਰ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰਨੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਚਲੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਮਿਲਤ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਭਿ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਮਿਟੇ ਗਤਿ ਭਈ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
milat sang sabh bharam mitay gat bha-ee hamaaree. ||1||
Joining the company of the Guru, all my doubts have been removed and I have obtained sublime spiritual state. ||1||
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਮਿਟਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ , ਤੇ ਮੈਂਨੂੰ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਮਿਲ ਗਈ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਜਾ ਦਿਨ ਭੇਟੇ ਸਾਧ ਮੋਹਿ ਉਆ ਦਿਨ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥
jaa din bhaytay saaDh mohi u-aa din balihaaree.
I am a sacrifice to the day when I met the Guru.
ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ (ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ) ਮਿਲ ਪਏ।
ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਅਪਨੋ ਜੀਅਰਾ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
tan man apno jee-araa fir fir ha-o vaaree. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Again and again I dedicate my body, mind and soul to my Guru. ||1||Pause||
ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਰੀਰ, ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨ, ਆਪਣੀ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਸਦਕੇ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਏਤ ਛਡਾਈ ਮੋਹਿ ਤੇ ਇਤਨੀ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਤਾਰੀ ॥
ayt chhadaa-ee mohi tay itnee darirh-taaree.
The Guru has liberated me from my strong sense of attachment to the worldly possessions and has implanted so much humility within me,
ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਮੈਥੋਂ ਅਪਣੱਤ ਇਤਨੀ ਛਡਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਨਿੰਮ੍ਰਤਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਇਤਨੀ ਪੱਕੀ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ,
ਸਗਲ ਰੇਨ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਭਇਆ ਬਿਨਸੀ ਅਪਧਾਰੀ ॥੨॥
sagal rayn ih man bha-i-aa binsee apDhaaree. ||2||
as if this mind of mine has now become the dust of the feet of all, and all selfishness has vanished from within me. ||2||
ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰਾ ਇਹ ਮਨ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨ-ਧੂੜ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਸੁਆਰਥ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਿਆਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਮੁੱਕ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਨਿੰਦ ਚਿੰਦ ਪਰ ਦੂਖਨਾ ਏ ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਜਾਰੀ ॥
nind chind par dookhnaa ay khin meh jaaree.
In an instant, the Guru has burnt away my thoughts of slander and ill-will towards others.
ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਪਰਾਈ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਿਆਲ, ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਬੁਰਾ ਤੱਕਣਾ-ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਇਕ ਖਿਨ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
ਦਇਆ ਮਇਆ ਅਰੁ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਪੇਖੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਦੂਰਾਰੀ ॥੩॥
da-i-aa ma-i-aa ar nikat paykh naahee dooraaree. ||3||
Now I see God always close to me, not far away; and I treat others with compassion and mercy. ||3||
ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਉਤੇ ਦਇਆ, ਲੋੜਵੰਦਿਆਂ ਉਤੇ ਤਰਸ, ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਵੇਖਣਾ-ਇਹ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
ਤਨ ਮਨ ਸੀਤਲ ਭਏ ਅਬ ਮੁਕਤੇ ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ॥
tan man seetal bha-ay ab muktay sansaaree.
My body and mind have calmed down and I feel liberated from the worldly bonds.
ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਨ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਤੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ।

ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਮੇਰੀ ਲਗਨ, ਮੇਰੀ ਸੁਰਤਿ, ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਧਨ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧੦॥੪੦॥

Raag Bilaaval, Fifth Guru:
ਟਹਲ ਕਰਉ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਾਸ ਕੀ ਪਗ ਝਾਰਉ ਬਾਲ ॥
tahal kara-o tayray daas kee pag jhaara-o baal.
O’ God, I wish to perform the service of Your devotee in such humility as dusting off his feet with my hair.
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ) ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ (ਤੇਰੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੇ) ਚਰਨ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਕੇਸਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਝਾੜਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ।
ਮਸਤਕੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਭੇਟ ਦੇਉ ਗੁਨ ਸੁਨਉ ਰਸਾਲ ॥੧॥
mastak apnaa bhayt day-o gun sun-o rasaal. ||1||
I may surrender my mind to him and listen to Your delightful virtues from him. ||1||
ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਿਰ (ਤੇਰੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਅੱਗੇ) ਭੇਟਾ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂ, (ਤੇ ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਤੇਰੇ) ਰਸ-ਭਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ ॥੧॥
ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਮਿਲਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਜੀਓ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਦਇਆਲ ॥
tumH miltay mayraa man jee-o tumH milhu da-i-aal.
O’ merciful God, please unite me with You, because remembering You, my mind becomes spiritually alive.
ਹੇ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ। ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਿਸਿ ਬਾਸੁਰ ਮਨਿ ਅਨਦੁ ਹੋਤ ਚਿਤਵਤ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
nis baasur man anad hot chitvat kirpaal. ||1|| rahaa-o.
O’ the compassionate God, by remembering You, my mind always remains blissful. ||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ) ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
