ਹਰਿ ਭਰਿਪੁਰੇ ਰਹਿਆ ॥
har bharipuray rahi-aa.
God is pervading everywhere,
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ।
ਜਲਿ ਥਲੇ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ॥
jal thalay raam naam.
God’s Name is pervading the water and the land.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ, ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ,
ਨਿਤ ਗਾਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਦੂਖ ਬਿਸਾਰਨੋ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
nit gaa-ee-ai har dookh bisaarno. ||1|| rahaa-o.
We should always sing God’s praises, because He is the dispeller of sorrows.||1||Pause||
ਉਸ ਹਰੀ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਸਦਾ ਗਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਹਰਿ ਕੀਆ ਹੈ ਸਫਲ ਜਨਮੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥
har kee-aa hai safal janam hamaaraa.
God has made my life fruitful and rewarding,
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ,
ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਦੂਖ ਬਿਸਾਰਨਹਾਰਾ ॥
har japi-aa har dookh bisaaranhaaraa.
I have started meditating on God, the dispeller of sorrows.
ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਿਆ ਹਾਂ, ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰੁ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਹੈ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਦਾਤਾ ॥
gur bhayti-aa hai mukat daataa.
I have met the Guru, the liberator from the vices.
ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਦਿਵਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ,
ਹਰਿ ਕੀਈ ਹਮਾਰੀ ਸਫਲ ਜਾਤਾ ॥
har kee-ee hamaaree safal jaataa.
God has made my life’s journey fruitful and rewarding.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਜਾਤ੍ਰਾ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਗਤੀ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਨੋ ॥੧॥
mil sangtee gun gaavno. ||1||
Joining the holy congregation I sing praises of God. ||1||
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥
ਮਨ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਕਰਿ ਆਸਾ ॥
man raam naam kar aasaa.
O’ my mind, place your hope in God’s Name alone,
ਹੇ (ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਉਤੇ ਹੀ ਡੋਰੀ ਰੱਖ,
ਭਾਉ ਦੂਜਾ ਬਿਨਸਿ ਬਿਨਾਸਾ ॥
bhaa-o doojaa binas binaasaa.
because God’s Name completely destroys the love of duality, the things other than God.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਨ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਮੁਕਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਵਿਚਿ ਆਸਾ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਰਾਸੀ ॥
vich aasaa ho-ay niraasee.
One who becomes detached from the worldly desires while living amidst them,
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੁਨੀਆਵੀ ਆਸਾ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਇਹਨਾ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਸੀ ॥
so jan mili-aa har paasee.
such a humble being remains merged in God’s love.
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕੋਈ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਨੋ ॥
ko-ee raam naam gun gaavno.
One who sings praises of God’s Name,
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਪਗਿ ਲਾਵਨੋ ॥੨॥੧॥੭॥੪॥੬॥੭॥੧੭॥

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik-oNkaar satgur parsaad.
One eternal God, realized by the grace of the True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਦਰੀ ਆਵੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਿਉ ਮੋਹੁ ॥
nadree aavai tis si-o moh.
O’ God, I remain in love with whatever is visible to the eyes.
ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦਿੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰਾ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ l
ਕਿਉ ਮਿਲੀਐ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਤੋਹਿ ॥
ki-o milee-ai parabh abhinaasee tohi.
O eternal God, (You are not visible with these eyes, so) how may I realize You,?
ਹੇ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਤੂੰ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ) ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਿਲਾਂ?
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਮੋਹਿ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਪਾਵਹੁ ॥
kar kirpaa mohi maarag paavhu.
O’ God, bestow mercy and put me on the righteous path of life;
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਸਹੀ ਰਸਤੇ ਉਤੇ ਤੋਰ,
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੈ ਅੰਚਲਿ ਲਾਵਹੁ ॥੧॥
saaDhsangat kai anchal laavhu. ||1||
and attach me to the company of saintly persons. ||1||
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦੇ ਲੜ ਨਾਲ ਲਾ ਦੇ ॥੧॥
ਕਿਉ ਤਰੀਐ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥
ki-o taree-ai bikhi-aa sansaar.
How can we swim across this worldly ocean filled with Maya, the worldly riches and power?
ਮਾਇਆ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਿਆ ਜਾਏ?
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਬੋਹਿਥੁ ਪਾਵੈ ਪਾਰਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
satgur bohith paavai paar. ||1|| rahaa-o.
The true Guru is like a boat which ferries us across this ocean. ||1||Pause||
ਗੁਰੂ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਪਵਨ ਝੁਲਾਰੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇਇ ॥
pavan jhulaaray maa-i-aa day-ay.
Like the wind, Maya keeps shaking one’s mind,
ਹਵਾ (ਵਾਂਗ) ਮਾਇਆ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਹੁਲਾਰੇ ਦੇਂਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ,
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਭਗਤ ਸਦਾ ਥਿਰੁ ਸੇਇ ॥
har kay bhagat sadaa thir say-ay.
but the devotees of God remain ever-stable.
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਸਦੀਵੀਂ ਸਥਿਰ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਹਰਖ ਸੋਗ ਤੇ ਰਹਹਿ ਨਿਰਾਰਾ ॥
harakh sog tay raheh niraaraa.
Those persons always remain unaffected by happiness or sorrow,
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਗ਼ਮੀ ਦੇ ਹੁਲਾਰਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਸਿਰ ਊਪਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਖਵਾਰਾ ॥੨॥
sir oopar aap guroo rakhvaaraa. ||2||
because they have the firm support of the Guru. ||2||
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਆਪ ਰਾਖੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਪਾਇਆ ਵੇੜੁ ਮਾਇਆ ਸਰਬ ਭੁਇਅੰਗਾ ॥
paa-i-aa vayrh maa-i-aa sarab bhu-i-angaa.
A serpent-like Maya, the worldly riches and power, holds people in its coils.
ਸੱਪ (ਵਾਂਗ) ਮਾਇਆ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਵਲੇਵਾਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਹਉਮੈ ਪਚੇ ਦੀਪਕ ਦੇਖਿ ਪਤੰਗਾ ॥
ha-umai pachay deepak daykh patangaa.
They spiritually burn in the fire of their ego, like the moths get burnt upon seeing the light.
ਜੀਵ ਹਉਮੈ (ਦੀ ਅੱਗ) ਵਿਚ ਸੜੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਦੀਵਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਪਤੰਗੇ ਸੜਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਸਗਲ ਸੀਗਾਰ ਕਰੇ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
sagal seegaar karay nahee paavai.
One may wear all kinds of garbs or perform other ritualistic deeds, but still he cannot realize God.
ਜੀਵ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਬਾਹਰਲੇ ਭੇਖ ਆਦਿਕ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਿੰਗਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹੇ, ਫਿਰ ਭੀ ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਜਾ ਹੋਇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਤਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ॥੩॥
jaa ho-ay kirpaal taa guroo milaavai. ||3||
It is only when God becomes merciful, that He unites a person with the Guru. ||3||
ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ (ਜੀਵ ਉੱਤੇ) ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਹਉ ਫਿਰਉ ਉਦਾਸੀ ਮੈ ਇਕੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਦਸਾਇਆ ॥
ha-o fira-o udaasee mai ik ratan dasaa-i-aa.
I too was sadfully wandering around, seeking the jewel like God’s Name.
ਮੈਂ (ਭੀ) ਨਾਮ-ਰਤਨ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਲਦੀ ਭਾਲਦੀ (ਬਾਹਰ) ਉਦਾਸ ਫਿਰ ਰਹੀ ਸਾਂ,
ਨਿਰਮੋਲਕੁ ਹੀਰਾ ਮਿਲੈ ਨ ਉਪਾਇਆ ॥
nirmolak heeraa milai na upaa-i-aa.
But this priceless jewel-like Naam is not achieved by one’s own efforts.
ਇਹ ਅਮੋਲਕ ਨਾਮ-ਹੀਰਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਉਪਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ।
ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਮੰਦਰੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਮਹਿ ਲਾਲੁ ॥
har kaa mandar tis meh laal.
This body is the temple of God in which dwells the jewel-like priceless Naam.
(ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਹੀ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਹੈ, ਇਸ (ਸਰੀਰ) ਵਿਚ ਉਹ ਲਾਲ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰਿ ਖੋਲਿਆ ਪੜਦਾ ਦੇਖਿ ਭਈ ਨਿਹਾਲੁ ॥੪॥
gur kholi-aa parh-daa daykh bha-ee nihaal. ||4||
When the Guru removed the veil of illusion from me, then upon realizing that jewel- like Naam, I was totally delighted. ||4||
ਜਦੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ (ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਭਰਮ-ਭੁਲੇਖੇ ਦਾ) ਪਰਦਾ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਲਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਲੂੰ ਲੂੰ ਖਿੜ ਗਈ ॥੪॥
ਜਿਨਿ ਚਾਖਿਆ ਤਿਸੁ ਆਇਆ ਸਾਦੁ ॥
jin chaakhi-aa tis aa-i-aa saad.
Only the one who has tasted the relish of God’s Name, knows about it.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ (ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ) ਚੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਹੀ) ਸੁਆਦ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਉ ਗੂੰਗਾ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਬਿਸਮਾਦੁ ॥
ji-o goongaa man meh bismaad.
He is like the mute, whose mind feels a wondrous delight upon tasting a sweet.
ਉਹ ਉਸ ਗੂੰਗੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਸੁਆਦਲਾ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਖਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਗਦ-ਗਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਨਦ ਰੂਪੁ ਸਭੁ ਨਦਰੀ ਆਇਆ ॥
aanad roop sabh nadree aa-i-aa.
That person beholds God, the embodiment of bliss everywhere,
ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਆਨੰਦ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਆਖਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥੫॥੧॥
jan naanak har gun aakh samaa-i-aa. ||5||1||
O’ Nanak, he merges into God by singing His virtues. ||5||1||
ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਗਾ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੫॥੧॥
ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Raag Bilaaval, Fifth Guru:
ਸਰਬ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਕੀਏ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥
sarab kali-aan kee-ay gurdayv.
The Divine Guru blesses every kind of happiness,
ਗੁਰੂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਦੇ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਸੇਵਕੁ ਅਪਨੀ ਲਾਇਓ ਸੇਵ ॥
sayvak apnee laa-i-o sayv.
to the devotee whom God engages to His devotional worship.
ਜਿਸ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਲਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਬਿਘਨੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਜਪਿ ਅਲਖ ਅਭੇਵ ॥੧॥
bighan na laagai jap alakh abhayv. ||1||
No obstacles blocks the spiritual path of the one who meditates on the imperceptible and the incomprehensible God. ||1||
ਅਲੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਅਭੇਵ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦੀ ॥੧॥
ਧਰਤਿ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਭਈ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਏ ॥
Dharat puneet bha-ee gun gaa-ay.
Anyone who sings the praises of God, his heart becomes immaculate.
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਦੁਰਤੁ ਗਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
durat ga-i-aa har naam Dhi-aa-ay. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Anyone who meditates on God’s Name with adoration, the sin gets eradicated from his mind.||1||Pause||
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚੋ ਪਾਪ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸਭਨੀ ਥਾਂਈ ਰਵਿਆ ਆਪਿ ॥
sabhnee thaaN-ee ravi-aa aap.
One, whom God engages to His devotional worship, experiences that God is pervading everywhere;
(ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਵਡ ਪਰਤਾਪੁ ॥
aad jugaad jaa kaa vad partaap.
and one, whose great glory has been radiantly manifest from the very beginning and throughout the ages,
ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਤੇਜ-ਪਰਤਾਪ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਜੁਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਬੜਾ ਚਲਿਆ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਨ ਹੋਇ ਸੰਤਾਪੁ ॥੨॥
gur parsaad na ho-ay santaap. ||2||
by Guru’s grace, no sorrow afflicts him. ||2||
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਦੁੱਖ-ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੨॥
ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਚਰਨ ਲਗੇ ਮਨਿ ਮੀਠੇ ॥
gur kay charan lagay man meethay.
One, whom Guru’s immaculate words seem sweet,
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਨਿਰਬਿਘਨ ਹੋਇ ਸਭ ਥਾਂਈ ਵੂਠੇ ॥
nirbighan ho-ay sabh thaaN-ee voothay.
his spiritual life remains unobstructed (by the vices) wherever he dwells.
ਉਹ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਭੀ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ) ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਭਿ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਏ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੂਠੇ ॥੩॥
sabh sukh paa-ay satgur toothay. ||3||
The Guru becomes gracious on him and he achieves celestial peace. ||3||
ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਏ ਰਖਵਾਲੇ ॥
paarbarahm parabh bha-ay rakhvaalay.
The supreme God becomes the savior of His devotees,
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਜੀ ਸਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਖੇ ਬਣਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਜਿਥੈ ਕਿਥੈ ਦੀਸਹਿ ਨਾਲੇ ॥
jithai kithai deeseh naalay.
and they behold Him dwelling with them everywhere.
ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਦਿੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਖਸਮਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੇ ॥੪॥੨॥
naanak daas khasam partipaalay. ||4||2||
O’ Nanak, the Master-God always protects and cherishes His devotees. ||4||2||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੨॥

Raag Bilaaval, Fifth Guru:
ਸੁਖ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ॥
sukh niDhaan pareetam parabh mayray.
O’ my beloved God, the treasure of celestial peace,
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!
