ਸਚਾ ਸਾਹੁ ਸਚੇ ਵਣਜਾਰੇ ਓਥੈ ਕੂੜੇ ਨਾ ਟਿਕੰਨਿ ॥
sachaa saahu sachay vanjaaray othai koorhay naa tikann.
Eternal is the Master-God and eternal are the traders of His Name; the false ones cannot stay in His presence at all.
ਸ਼ਾਹ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਵਣਜ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਭੀ ਅਟੱਲ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਕੂੜੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਵਣਜਾਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਟਿਕ ਸਕਦੇ।
ਓਨਾ ਸਚੁ ਨ ਭਾਵਈ ਦੁਖ ਹੀ ਮਾਹਿ ਪਚੰਨਿ ॥੧੮॥
onaa sach na bhaav-ee dukh hee maahi pachann. ||18||
The Name of the eternal God is not pleasing to them; they are consumed by their miseries. ||18||
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪਸੰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ, ਤੇ, ਉਹਕਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧੮॥
ਹਉਮੈ ਮੈਲਾ ਜਗੁ ਫਿਰੈ ਮਰਿ ਜੰਮੈ ਵਾਰੋ ਵਾਰ ॥
ha-umai mailaa jag firai mar jammai vaaro vaar.
Soiled with the dirt of ego, the entire world is wandering around aimlessly and keep going through the cycle of birth and death.
ਹਉਮੈ (ਦੀ ਮੈਲ) ਨਾਲ ਮੈਲਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਗਤ ਭਟਕ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਪਇਐ ਕਿਰਤਿ ਕਮਾਵਣਾ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਮੇਟਣਹਾਰ ॥੧੯॥
pa-i-ai kirat kamaavanaa ko-ay na maytanhaar. ||19||
One acts according to his preordained destiny based on his past deeds, which no one can erase. ||19||
ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੂਰਬਲੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਮੇਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੧੯॥
ਸੰਤਾ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਰਹੈ ਤਾ ਸਚਿ ਲਗੈ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥
santaa sangat mil rahai taa sach lagai pi-aar.
If one remains in the company of true saints, then love for God wells up in him.
ਜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹੇ, ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਚੁ ਸਲਾਹੀ ਸਚੁ ਮਨਿ ਦਰਿ ਸਚੈ ਸਚਿਆਰੁ ॥੨੦॥
sach salaahee sach man dar sachai sachiaar. ||20||
By praising God with love and devoted mind, one is accepted as true in His presence. ||20||
ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਸੱਚੇ ਦਿਲ ਨਾਲ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਸੱਚੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ॥੨੦॥
ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਮਤਿ ਹੈ ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ॥
gur pooray pooree mat hai ahinis naam Dhi-aa-ay.
Perfect is the teachings of the perfect Guru; one who always lovingly remembers God through the Guru’s teachings,
ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਉਕਾਈ-ਹੀਣ ਹੈ। (ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਮਤਿ ਲੈ ਕੇ) ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਹਉਮੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਵਡ ਰੋਗੁ ਹੈ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਠਾਕਿ ਰਹਾਇ ॥੨੧॥
ha-umai mayraa vad rog hai vichahu thaak rahaa-ay. ||21||
he puts a stop to the severe malady of ego and self-conceit within him. ||21||
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਉਮੈ ਅਤੇ ਮਮਤਾ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਰੋਗ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਰੋਕ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੧॥
ਗੁਰੁ ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਿਵਿ ਨਿਵਿ ਲਾਗਾ ਪਾਇ ॥
gur saalaahee aapnaa niv niv laagaa paa-ay.
I wish that I may keep praising my Guru by humbly bowing to him in respect,
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰੇ, ਤਾਂ) ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਕਰਾਂ, ਨਿਊਂ ਨਿਊਂ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨੀਂ ਲੱਗਾਂ,
ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਸਉਪੀ ਆਗੈ ਧਰੀ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਇ ॥੨੨॥
tan man sa-upee aagai Dharee vichahu aap gavaa-ay. ||22||
and erasing ego from within, I may surrender my body and mind to him. ||22||
ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨ ਆਪਣਾ ਤਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਰੱਖ ਦਿਆਂ ॥੨੨॥
ਖਿੰਚੋਤਾਣਿ ਵਿਗੁਚੀਐ ਏਕਸੁ ਸਿਉ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥
khinchotaan viguchee-ai aykas si-o liv laa-ay.
O’ my friends, a person is simply ruined by remaining torn by indecision; therefore, you should attune your mind only to one God.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਡਾਂਵਾਂ-ਡੋਲ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿਚ ਰਿਹਾਂ ਖ਼ੁਆਰ ਹੋਈਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਸੁਰਤ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖ।
ਹਉਮੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਛਡਿ ਤੂ ਤਾ ਸਚਿ ਰਹੈ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੨੩॥
ha-umai mayraa chhad too taa sach rahai samaa-ay. ||23||
Forsake your ego and self-conceit, only then you can remain united with the eternal God. ||23||
ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ, ਮਮਤਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ। (ਜਦੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਉਮੈ ਮਮਤਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਤਦੋਂ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋਇਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੩॥
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨੋ ਮਿਲੇ ਸਿ ਭਾਇਰਾ ਸਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਲਗੰਨਿ ॥
satgur no milay se bhaa-iraa sachai sabad lagann.
All those who follow the teachings of the true Guru and remain attuned to thedivine word of God’s praises, are my brothers.
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾ ਹਨ, ਜੇਹੜੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਪਏ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਚਿੱਤ ਜੋੜਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਸਚਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਸੇ ਨ ਵਿਛੁੜਹਿ ਦਰਿ ਸਚੈ ਦਿਸੰਨਿ ॥੨੪॥
sach milay say na vichhurheh dar sachai disann. ||24||
Those who are united with God, are not separated from Him again; they seem truly honorable in God’s presence. ||24||
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਫਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਿਛੁੜਦੇ। ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਦਿੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨੪॥
ਸੇ ਭਾਈ ਸੇ ਸਜਣਾ ਜੋ ਸਚਾ ਸੇਵੰਨਿ ॥
say bhaa-ee say sajnaa jo sachaa sayvann.
Those who lovingly remember God, are my brothers and close friends.
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾ ਹਨ ਸੱਜਣ ਹਨ, ਜੇਹੜੇ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਅਵਗਣ ਵਿਕਣਿ ਪਲ੍ਹ੍ਹਰਨਿ ਗੁਣ ਕੀ ਸਾਝ ਕਰੰਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ॥੨੫॥
avgan vikan pulHran gun kee saajh karaNniH. ||25||
When their sins are washed off, they flourish spiritually and develop partnership with divine virtues. ||25||
(ਗੁਣਾਂ, ਦੇ ਵੱਟੇ) ਅਉਗਣ ਵਿਕ ਜਾਣ ਨਾਲ (ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ ਨਾਲ) ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿਚ) ਪ੍ਰਫੁਲਤ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨੫॥
ਗੁਣ ਕੀ ਸਾਝ ਸੁਖੁ ਊਪਜੈ ਸਚੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰੇਨਿ ॥
gun kee saajh sukh oopjai sachee bhagat karayn.
By developing a partnership with divine virtues, peace wells up in their minds and they engage in the true devotional worship of God.
ਨੇਕੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਨਾਲ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਅਟੱਲ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਸਚੁ ਵਣੰਜਹਿ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਹਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਲਏਨਿ ॥੨੬॥
sach vanaNjahi gur sabad si-o laahaa naam la-ayn. ||26||
Through the Guru’s word they invest in Truth and earn the profit of Naam. ||26||
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨਾਲ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਹਾਝਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ (ਦਾ) ਲਾਭ ਖੱਟਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨੬॥
ਸੁਇਨਾ ਰੁਪਾ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਸੰਚੀਐ ਚਲੈ ਨ ਚਲਦਿਆ ਨਾਲਿ ॥
su-inaa rupaa paap kar kar sanchee-ai chalai na chaldi-aa naal.
One amasses gold and silver by committing sins, but it does not go along when he departs from this world.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਕਈ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੇ) ਪਾਪ ਕਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸੋਨਾ ਚਾਂਦੀ (ਆਦਿਕ ਧਨ) ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ (ਜਗਤ ਤੋਂ) ਤੁਰਨ ਵੇਲੇ (ਉਹ ਧਨ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ) ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ।
ਵਿਣੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਨਾਲਿ ਨ ਚਲਸੀ ਸਭ ਮੁਠੀ ਜਮਕਾਲਿ ॥੨੭॥
vin naavai naal na chalsee sabh muthee jamkaal. ||27||
except Naam, nothing else goes with us in the end, thus the entire world gets deceived by the demon of death. ||27||
ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਚੀਜ਼ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਦੂਤ ਸਾਰੀ ਲੁਕਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਠੱਗ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੭॥
ਮਨ ਕਾ ਤੋਸਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਰਖਹੁ ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਲਿ ॥
man kaa tosaa har naam hai hirdai rakhahu samHaal.
O’ friends, God’s Name is the real sustenance of the mind, so carefully cherish it within your heart.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ (ਜੀਵਨ-ਸਫ਼ਰ ਦਾ) ਖ਼ਰਚ ਹੈ। ਇਸਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਂਭ ਕੇ ਰੱਖੋ।
ਏਹੁ ਖਰਚੁ ਅਖੁਟੁ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਿਬਹੈ ਨਾਲਿ ॥੨੮॥
ayhu kharach akhut hai gurmukh nibhai naal. ||28||
This sustenance is inexhaustible and always accompanies a Guru’s follower till the end. ||28||
ਇਹ ਖ਼ਰਚ ਕਦੇ ਮੁੱਕਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦੱਸੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਾਥ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੮॥
ਏ ਮਨ ਮੂਲਹੁ ਭੁਲਿਆ ਜਾਸਹਿ ਪਤਿ ਗਵਾਇ ॥
ay man moolhu bhuli-aa jaaseh pat gavaa-ay.
O’ my mind, you have strayed away from God, your true origin; this would lead you to depart from this world after losing all your honor.
ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਮੂਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਖੁੰਝੇ ਹੋਏ ਹੇ ਮਨ! (ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਖੁੰਝਿਆ ਹੀ ਰਿਹਾ, ਤਾਂ) ਆਪਣੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਗਵਾ ਕੇ (ਇਥੋਂ) ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ।
ਇਹੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਮੋਹਿ ਦੂਜੈ ਵਿਆਪਿਆ ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਸਚੁ ਧਿਆਇ ॥੨੯॥
ih jagat mohi doojai vi-aapi-aa gurmatee sach Dhi-aa-ay. ||29||
This world is engrossed in the love of duality; follow the Guru’s teachings and remember God with adoration. ||29||
ਇਹ ਜਗਤ ਤਾਂ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਿਆ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ (ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੋਹ ਛੱਡ, ਅਤੇ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਕਰ ॥੨੯॥
ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਨਾ ਪਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਲਿਖਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
har kee keemat naa pavai har jas likhan na jaa-ay.
O’ my friends, the worth of God cannot be estimated, and his glory is beyond expression.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ l
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਰਪੈ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਰਹੈ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੩੦॥
gur kai sabad man tan rapai har si-o rahai samaa-ay. ||30||
When one’s mind and body are attuned to the Guru’s word, then one always remains absorbed in God. ||30||
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩੦॥
ਸੋ ਸਹੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਰੰਗੁਲਾ ਰੰਗੇ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥
so saho mayraa rangulaa rangay sahj subhaa-ay.
My Husband-God is very jovial; He intuitively imbues one with His love.
ਮੇਰਾ ਉਹ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਨੰਦ-ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈ,ਉਹ ਸਹਿਜ-ਸੁਭਾਅ ਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਾਮਣਿ ਰੰਗੁ ਤਾ ਚੜੈ ਜਾ ਪਿਰ ਕੈ ਅੰਕਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੩੧॥
kaaman rang taa charhai jaa pir kai ank samaa-ay. ||31||
The soul-bride becomes imbued with God’s love only when she truly surrenders herself to God and thus merges in Him. ||31||
ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਉਸ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ ਉਸ (ਦੀ ਜਿੰਦ) ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩੧॥
ਚਿਰੀ ਵਿਛੁੰਨੇ ਭੀ ਮਿਲਨਿ ਜੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵੰਨਿ ॥
chiree vichhunay bhee milan jo satgur sayvann.
Even those who have been separated from Him for a long time, are reunited with Him, when they follow the teachings of the Guru.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲੋਂ) ਚਿਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਛੁੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਭੀ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ) ਆ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਨਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਖਾਨਿ ਖਰਚਨਿ ਨ ਨਿਖੁਟਈ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਸਹਜਿ ਰਵੰਨਿ ॥੩੨॥
antar nav niDh naam hai khaan kharchan na nikhuta-ee har gun sahj ravann. ||32||
God’s Name, which is like the nine treasures of the world, is within them; it does not fall short even after consuming and sharing with others; intuitively they keep chanting God’s praises. ||32||
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜੋ, ਮਾਨੋ, ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਨੌ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ ਲੱਭ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨਾਮ-ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਵਰਤਦੇ ਹਨ, ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੰਡਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਫਿਰ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੁੱਕਦਾ। ਸਹਿਜੇ ਹੀਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩੨॥
ਨਾ ਓਇ ਜਨਮਹਿ ਨਾ ਮਰਹਿ ਨਾ ਓਇ ਦੁਖ ਸਹੰਨਿ ॥
naa o-ay janmeh naa mareh naa o-ay dukh sahann.
Such Guru’s followers, neither take birth nor die, and they do not endure the pain of the cycle of birth and death.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਆ ਪਏ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਾਹ ਜੰਮਦੇ ਹਨ ਨਾਹ ਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਉਹ (ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਦੇ) ਦੁੱਖ ਸਹਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਗੁਰਿ ਰਾਖੇ ਸੇ ਉਬਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਕੇਲ ਕਰੰਨਿ ॥੩੩॥
gur raakhay say ubray har si-o kayl karann. ||33||
those who have been protected by the Guru, are saved from the cycle of birth and death and attuned to God, they enjoy the bliss. ||33||
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ (ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚ ਗਏ। ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩੩॥
ਸਜਣ ਮਿਲੇ ਨ ਵਿਛੁੜਹਿ ਜਿ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਮਿਲੇ ਰਹੰਨਿ ॥
sajan milay na vichhurheh je an-din milay rahann.
Those pious people who always remain united with God, once united they are never separated from Him again.
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਭਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਮੁੜ ਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਿਛੁੜਦੇ।
ਇਸੁ ਜਗ ਮਹਿ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਜਾਣੀਅਹਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਚੁ ਲਹੰਨਿ ॥੩੪॥੧॥੩॥
is jag meh virlay jaanee-ahi naanak sach lahann. ||34||1||3||
O’ Nanak, only very rare people are known to have realized God in this world. ||34||1||3||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਇਸ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਅਜੇਹੇ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਹੀ ਉੱਘੜਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੇਹੜੇ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩੪॥੧॥੩॥

Raag Soohee, Third Guru:
ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਸੂਖਮੁ ਅਗਮੁ ਹੈ ਕਿਤੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਜਾਇ ॥
har jee sookham agam hai kit biDh mili-aa jaa-ay.
God is invisible and inaccessible, so how can one ever merge with Him?
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਅਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਹੈ ਅਪਹੁੰਚ ਹੈ, (ਫਿਰ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਕਟੀਐ ਅਚਿੰਤੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥੧॥
gur kai sabad bharam katee-ai achint vasai man aa-ay. ||1||
When through the Guru’s word, the doubt is dispelled, then intuitively God’spresence in the mind is realized. ||1||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਦੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ) ਭਟਕਣਾ ਕੱਟੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਹਜ ਸੁਭਾਇ (ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੰਨਿ ॥
gurmukh har har naam japann.
The Guru’s followers always lovingly remember God’s Name.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦੇ ਹਨ।
