ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਹੋਰਤੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਲਇਆ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੧॥
gur kirpaa tay har man vasai horat biDh la-i-aa na jaa-ee. ||1||
It is only through the Guru’s grace that God manifests in one’s mind; He cannot be realized by any other effort. ||1||
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਹਰੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੧॥
ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਸੰਚੀਐ ਭਾਈ ॥
har Dhan sanchee-ai bhaa-ee.
O’ brother, we should amass the wealth of God’s Name,
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਸ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਜਿ ਹਲਤਿ ਪਲਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਹੋਇ ਸਖਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
je halat palat har ho-ay sakhaa-ee. ||1|| rahaa-o.
who becomes our companion both here and here after. ||1||Pause||
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਹਰੀ ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸਤਸੰਗਤੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਖਟੀਐ ਹੋਰ ਥੈ ਹੋਰਤੁ ਉਪਾਇ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਕਿਤੈ ਨ ਪਾਈ ॥
satsangtee sang har Dhan khatee-ai hor thai horat upaa-ay har Dhan kitai na paa-ee.
O’ brother! we can earn the wealth of Naam only by joining the congregation of saintly persons; nowhere else and by no other means can this wealth be earned.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਤਸੰਗੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ (ਮਿਲ ਕੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਖੱਟਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਸਤਸੰਗ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ) ਕਿਸੇ ਭੀ ਹੋਰ ਥਾਂ, ਕਿਸੇ ਭੀ ਹੋਰ ਜਤਨ ਨਾਲ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਧਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਹਰਿ ਰਤਨੈ ਕਾ ਵਾਪਾਰੀਆ ਹਰਿ ਰਤਨ ਧਨੁ ਵਿਹਾਝੇ ਕਚੈ ਕੇ ਵਾਪਾਰੀਏ ਵਾਕਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਲਇਆ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੨॥
har ratnai kaa vapaaree-aa har ratan Dhan vihaajhay kachai kay vaapaaree-ay vaak har Dhan la-i-aa na jaa-ee. ||2||
Only a true merchant of Jewel-like God’s Name acquires this jewel-like precious wealth of God’s Name; the wealth of God’s Name can not be acquired through the teachings of the traders of worldly wealth. ||2||
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਧਨ ਦਾ ਸਤਸੰਗੀ ਵਾਪਾਰੀ ਨਾਮ ਧਨ ਖ਼ਰੀਦਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਪਾਰੀ (ਮਾਇਕ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਹੀ ਖ਼ਰੀਦਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ) ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਨਾਲ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੨॥
ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਜਵੇਹਰੁ ਮਾਣਕੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੈ ਨਾਲਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵੇਲੈ ਵਤੈ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥
har Dhan ratan javayhar maanak har Dhanai naal amrit vaylai vatai har bhagtee har liv laa-ee.
O’ brother! the wealth of God’s Name is priceless like the priceless jewels, pearls, and diamonds; the devotees of God attune themselves to God in the early hours of the day break, the most appropriate time for spiritual growth.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਰਤਨ ਜਵਾਹਰ ਮੋਤੀ ਵਰਗਾ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਪਲ੍ਹਰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਇਸ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਰਤ ਜੋੜੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵੇਲੈ ਵਤੈ ਕਾ ਬੀਜਿਆ ਭਗਤ ਖਾਇ ਖਰਚਿ ਰਹੇ ਨਿਖੁਟੈ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
har Dhan amrit vaylai vatai kaa beeji-aa bhagat khaa-ay kharach rahay nikhutai naahee.
The seed of the wealth of God’s Name planted in the early hours of the morning, the most appropriate time, (it grows in such abundance, that) the devotees use it as their spiritual food, share it with others, but it never falls short.
ਵੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵੇਲੇ (ਉੱਠ ਕੇ) ਬੀਜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਇਹ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਭਗਤ ਜਨ ਆਪ ਵਰਤਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੰਡਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਇਹ ਮੁੱਕਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ।
ਹਲਤਿ ਪਲਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੈ ਕੀ ਭਗਤਾ ਕਉ ਮਿਲੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥੩॥
halat palat har Dhanai kee bhagtaa ka-o milee vadi-aa-ee. ||3||
Because of the possession of wealth of God’s Name, the devotees are honored both in this world and the next. ||3||
ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਅਸਥਿਰੁ ਹੈ ਸਾਚਾ ਇਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਅਗਨੀ ਤਸਕਰੈ ਪਾਣੀਐ ਜਮਦੂਤੈ ਕਿਸੈ ਕਾ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
har Dhan nirbha-o sadaa sadaa asthir hai saachaa ih har Dhan agnee taskarai paanee-ai jamdootai kisai kaa gavaa-i-aa na jaa-ee.
O’ brother! there is no fear of any sort to the wealth of God’s Name and it is everlasting; this wealth of God’s Name cannot be destroyed by fire or water and can not be taken away by any thief or demon of death.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਇਸ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਕਿਸਮ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਡਰ-ਖ਼ਤਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਇਹ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਅੱਗ, ਚੋਰ, ਪਾਣੀ, ਮੌਤ-ਕਿਸੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਭੀ ਇਸ ਧਨ ਦਾ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਹਰਿ ਧਨ ਕਉ ਉਚਕਾ ਨੇੜਿ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਜਮੁ ਜਾਗਾਤੀ ਡੰਡੁ ਨ ਲਗਾਈ ॥੪॥
har Dhan ka-o uchkaa nayrh na aavee jam jaagaatee dand na lagaa-ee. ||4||
No robber comes near the wealth of God’s Name, and not even the demon of death can tax it (or nullify its merits). ||4||
ਕੋਈ ਲੁਟੇਰਾ ਇਸ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਢੁਕ ਸਕਦਾ। ਜਮ ਮਸੂਲੀਆ ਇਸ ਧਨ ਨੂੰ ਮਸੂਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਾ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੪॥
ਸਾਕਤੀ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਿ ਕੈ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਧਨੁ ਸੰਚਿਆ ਤਿਨਾ ਇਕ ਵਿਖ ਨਾਲਿ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
saaktee paap kar kai bikhi-aa Dhan sanchi-aa tinaa ik vikh naal na jaa-ee.
The faithless cynics gather poisonous worldly wealth by committing sins and none of it goes with them after death.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮਾਇਆ-ਵੇੜ੍ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ (ਸਦਾ) ਪਾਪ ਕਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮਾਇਆ-ਧਨ (ਹੀ) ਜੋੜਿਆ, (ਪਰ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ (ਜਗਤ ਤੋਂ ਤੁਰਨ ਵੇਲੇ) ਇਹ ਧਨ ਇਕ ਕਦਮ ਭੀ ਸਾਥ ਨਾਹ ਕਰ ਸਕਿਆ।
ਹਲਤੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਸਾਕਤ ਦੁਹੇਲੇ ਭਏ ਹਥਹੁ ਛੁੜਕਿ ਗਇਆ ਅਗੈ ਪਲਤਿ ਸਾਕਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਢੋਈ ਨ ਪਾਈ ॥੫॥
haltai vich saakat duhaylay bha-ay hathahu chhurhak ga-i-aa agai palat saakat har dargeh dho-ee na paa-ee. ||5||
In this world, the faithless cynics grieve as it slips out of their hands; in the world hereafter, they find no support in God’s presence. ||5||
ਮਾਇਆ-ਵੇੜ੍ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੀ ਰਹੇ (ਮਰਨ ਵੇਲੇ ਇਹ ਧਨ) ਹੱਥੋਂ ਖੁੱਸ ਗਿਆ, ਅਗਾਂਹ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਮਾਇਆ-ਵੇੜ੍ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ ॥੫॥
ਇਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਨ ਕਾ ਸਾਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਹੈ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਦੇਇ ਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਲਦਿ ਚਲਾਈ ॥
is har Dhan kaa saahu har aap hai santahu jis no day-ay so har Dhan lad chalaa-ee.
O’ saints, it is God Himself, who is the owner of the wealth of Naam; only the one whom God blesses with this wealth is able to amass it up before leaving this world.
ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਇਸ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਇਹ ਧਨ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਇਸ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਇਹ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ-ਸੌਦਾ ਵਿਹਾਝ ਕੇ ਇਥੋਂ ਤੁਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੈ ਕਾ ਤੋਟਾ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਗੁਰਿ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਾਈ ॥੬॥੩॥੧੦॥
is har Dhanai kaa totaa kaday na aavee jan naanak ka-o gur sojhee paa-ee. ||6||3||10||
O’ Nanak, the Guru makes his devotee understand the fact that this treasure of Naam never gets exhausted.||6||3||10||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਇਸ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਦੇ ਵਪਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਕਦੇ ਘਾਟਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ। ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮਝਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ॥੬॥੩॥੧੦॥
ਸੂਹੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥

Raag Soohee, Fourth Guru:
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਪ੍ਰਸੰਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣਾ ਰਵੈ ਸੋ ਭਗਤੁ ਸੋ ਪਰਵਾਨੁ ॥
jis no har suparsan ho-ay so har gunaa ravai so bhagat so parvaan.
O’brother! he alone sings the praises of God with whom God is very much pleased; he is considered His devotee and is approved in His presence.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਜ਼ਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਭਗਤ ਹੈ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ) ਕਬੂਲ ਹੈ।
ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਕਿਆ ਵਰਨੀਐ ਜਿਸ ਕੈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਵਸਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਭਗਵਾਨੁ ॥੧॥
tis kee mahimaa ki-aa varnee-ai jis kai hirdai vasi-aa har purakh bhagvaan. ||1||
What can be said about the glory of such a person, in whose heart the all pervading God becomes manifest. ||1||
ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਵਰਣਨ ਕਰੀਏ? ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਪੁਰਖ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ॥੧॥
ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਈਐ ਜੀਉ ਲਾਇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਲਿ ਧਿਆਨੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
govind gun gaa-ee-ai jee-o laa-ay satguroo naal Dhi-aan. ||1|| rahaa-o.
O’ brother, let’s sing the praises of God with our mind totally focused on the word of the true Guru. ||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਆਓ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਚਿੱਤ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਇਆ ਕਰੀਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਸਾ ਸੇਵਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸਫਲ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਪਾਈਐ ਪਰਮ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ॥
so satguroo saa sayvaa satgur kee safal hai jis tay paa-ee-ai param niDhaan.
He alone is the true Guru and fruitful is following the teaching of that true Guru from whom we receive the supreme treasure of Naam.
ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ (ਐਸਾ ਸਮਰਥ ਹੈ) ਕਿ ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਹੋਈ ਉਹ ਸੇਵਾ ਭੀ ਫਲ ਲਿਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਜੋ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਸਾਕਤ ਕਾਮਨਾ ਅਰਥਿ ਦੁਰਗੰਧ ਸਰੇਵਦੇ ਸੋ ਨਿਹਫਲ ਸਭੁ ਅਗਿਆਨੁ ॥੨॥
jo doojai bhaa-ay saakat kaamnaa arath durganDh sarayvday so nihfal sabh agi-aan. ||2||
The faithless cynics, who being in love with Maya, indulge in vices to satisfy the evil desires of mind, their life goes fruitless and is spent in spiritual ignorance. ||2||
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਾਇਆ-ਵੇੜ੍ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਫਸ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਾਸਨਾਂ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਲੱਗੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਗਵਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਹੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਲੋਂ ਬੇ-ਸਮਝੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਪਰਤੀਤਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਗਾਵਿਆ ਥਾਇ ਪਵੈ ਸੋ ਪਾਵੈ ਦਰਗਹ ਮਾਨੁ ॥
jis no parteet hovai tis kaa gaavi-aa thaa-ay pavai so paavai dargeh maan.
One who has true faith in the Guru, only his singing of God’s praises is approved and he receives honor in God’s presence.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ (ਗੁਰੂ ਉੱਤੇ) ਸਰਧਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹਰਿ-ਜਸ ਗਾਣਾ (ਹਰੀ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ) ਕਬੂਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਆਦਰ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜੋ ਬਿਨੁ ਪਰਤੀਤੀ ਕਪਟੀ ਕੂੜੀ ਕੂੜੀ ਅਖੀ ਮੀਟਦੇ ਉਨ ਕਾ ਉਤਰਿ ਜਾਇਗਾ ਝੂਠੁ ਗੁਮਾਨੁ ॥੩॥
jo bin parteetee kaptee koorhee koorhee akhee meetday un kaa utar jaa-igaa jhooth gumaan. ||3||
Those hypocrites who lack faith in the Guru, may close their eyes, pretending and faking devotion; their falsehood and ego would finally wear off. ||3||
ਪਰ ਜੇਹੜੇ ਫ਼ਰੇਬੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਗੁਰੂ ਉਤੇ) ਨਿਸਚਾ ਰੱਖਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਝੂਠ-ਮੂਠ ਹੀ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਮੀਟਦੇ ਹਨ (ਮਾਨੋ, ਸਮਾਧੀ ਲਾਈ ਬੈਠੇ ਹਨ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ (ਆਪਣੀ ਉੱਚਤਾ ਬਾਰੇ) ਝੂਠਾ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ (ਆਖ਼ਰ) ਲਹਿ ਜਾਇਗਾ ॥੩॥
ਜੇਤਾ ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਸਭੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਤੂੰ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਭਗਵਾਨੁ ॥
jaytaa jee-o pind sabh tayraa tooN antarjaamee purakh bhagvaan.
O’ God! this mindand body are totally Yours; You are the omniscient and all pervading Master-God.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਿਤਨਾ ਭੀ ਇਹ ਜਿੰਦ-ਸਰੀਰ ਹੈ, ਸਭ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੈਂ।
ਦਾਸਨਿ ਦਾਸੁ ਕਹੈ ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜੇਹਾ ਤੂੰ ਕਰਾਇਹਿ ਤੇਹਾ ਹਉ ਕਰੀ ਵਖਿਆਨੁ ॥੪॥੪॥੧੧॥
daasan daas kahai jan naanak jayhaa tooN karaa-ihi tayhaa ha-o karee vakhi-aan. ||4||4||11||
Nanak, the servant of Your devotees, says, O’ God! I speak whatever You make me speak. ||4||4||11||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਤੂੰ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਮੈਥੋਂ ਅਖਵਾਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੪॥੪॥੧੧॥
