ਜੀਵਤ ਲਉ ਬਿਉਹਾਰੁ ਹੈ ਜਗ ਕਉ ਤੁਮ ਜਾਨਉ ॥
jeevat la-o bi-uhaar hai jag ka-o tum jaan-o.
Understand the world like this, that Your worldly affairs exist only as long as you are physically alive.
ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਇਉਂ ਹੀ ਸਮਝ (ਕਿ ਇਥੇ) ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਤਕ ਹੀ ਵਰਤਣ-ਵਿਹਾਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਇ ਲੈ ਸਭ ਸੁਫਨ ਸਮਾਨਉ ॥੨॥੨॥
naanak har gun gaa-ay lai sabh sufan samaana-o. ||2||2||
O’ Nanak, sing the praises of God; everything else is like a dream. ||2||2||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਹੁ, ਬਾਕੀ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੁਝ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੀ ਹੈ। ॥੨॥੨॥

Raag Tilang, Ninth Guru:
ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਰੇ ਮਨਾ ਗਾਇ ਲੈ ਜੋ ਸੰਗੀ ਹੈ ਤੇਰੋ ॥
har jas ray manaa gaa-ay lai jo sangee hai tayro.
O’ my mind, sing praises of God who is your real friend and companion.
ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਇਆ ਕਰ, ਇਹ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਹੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਅਸਲੀ ਸਾਥੀ ਹੈ।
ਅਉਸਰੁ ਬੀਤਿਓ ਜਾਤੁ ਹੈ ਕਹਿਓ ਮਾਨ ਲੈ ਮੇਰੋ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
a-osar beeti-o jaat hai kahi-o maan lai mayro. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Listen to my advice, your opportunity to remember God is passing by. ||1||Pause||
ਮੇਰਾ ਬਚਨ ਮੰਨ ਲੈ। ਉਮਰ ਦਾ ਸਮਾ ਲੰਘਦਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸੰਪਤਿ ਰਥ ਧਨ ਰਾਜ ਸਿਉ ਅਤਿ ਨੇਹੁ ਲਗਾਇਓ ॥
sampat rath Dhan raaj si-o at nayhu lagaa-i-o.
O’ my mind, you are so much in love with property, chariots, wealth and power.
ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਤੂੰ ਧਨ-ਪਦਾਰਥ, ਰਥ, ਮਾਲ, ਰਾਜ ਨਾਲ ਬੜਾ ਮੋਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਾਲ ਫਾਸ ਜਬ ਗਲਿ ਪਰੀ ਸਭ ਭਇਓ ਪਰਾਇਓ ॥੧॥
kaal faas jab gal paree sabh bha-i-o paraa-i-o. ||1||
When the noose of death tightens around your neck, all these things would belong to others. ||1||
ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਫਾਹੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਗਲ ਵਿਚ ਪਏਗੀ , ਹਰੇਕ ਚੀਜ਼ ਬਿਗਾਨੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਏਗੀ , ॥੧॥
ਜਾਨਿ ਬੂਝ ਕੈ ਬਾਵਰੇ ਤੈ ਕਾਜੁ ਬਿਗਾਰਿਓ ॥
jaan boojh kai baavray tai kaaj bigaari-o.
O’ fool, knowing all this, you are ruining your chance to unite with God.
ਹੇ ਝੱਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ! ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਭੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੰਮ ਵਿਗਾੜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਪਾਪ ਕਰਤ ਸੁਕਚਿਓ ਨਹੀ ਨਹ ਗਰਬੁ ਨਿਵਾਰਿਓ ॥੨॥
paap karat sukchi-o nahee nah garab nivaari-o. ||2||
You do not restrain yourself from committing sins, and you do not eradicate your ego. ||2||
ਤੂੰ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਦਾ (ਕਦੇ) ਸੰਗਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਭੀ ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ॥੨॥
ਜਿਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਗੁਰ ਉਪਦੇਸਿਆ ਸੋ ਸੁਨੁ ਰੇ ਭਾਈ ॥
jih biDh gur updaysi-aa so sun ray bhaa-ee.
O’ brother, listen and follow the way the Guru imparted his teachings.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ (ਤੂੰ ਭੀ) ਸੁਣ ਲੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਹਤ ਪੁਕਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਗਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਨਾਈ ॥੩॥੩॥
naanak kahat pukaar kai gahu parabh sarnaa-ee. ||3||3||
Nanak proclaims loudly, hold tight to the protection of God (always remember Him with adoration).||3||3||
ਨਾਨਕ (ਤੈਨੂੰ) ਪੁਕਾਰ ਕੇ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-(ਕਿ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆ ਰਹੁ (ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਕਰ) ॥੩॥੩॥

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik-oNkaar satgur parsaad.
One eternal God, realized by the grace of the True Guru.
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਬੇਦ ਕਤੇਬ ਇਫਤਰਾ ਭਾਈ ਦਿਲ ਕਾ ਫਿਕਰੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
bayd katayb iftaraa bhaa-ee dil kaa fikar na jaa-ay.
O’ brother, the anxiety of one’s heart does not go away by exaggerating the reality and giving references from Vedas and Semitic books.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਵੇਦਾਂ ਕਤੇਬਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਵਧ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਦਾ ਸਹਿਮ ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ।
ਟੁਕੁ ਦਮੁ ਕਰਾਰੀ ਜਉ ਕਰਹੁ ਹਾਜਿਰ ਹਜੂਰਿ ਖੁਦਾਇ ॥੧॥
tuk dam karaaree ja-o karahu haajir hajoor khudaa-ay. ||1||
But if you fix your attention on God even for a moment, you would realize Him pervading everyone and everywhere. ||1||
ਪਰ ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਲਕ ਭਰ ਹੀ ਟਿਕਾਓ, ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਰੱਬ ਦਿੱਸੇਗਾ ॥੧॥
ਬੰਦੇ ਖੋਜੁ ਦਿਲ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ ਨਾ ਫਿਰੁ ਪਰੇਸਾਨੀ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
banday khoj dil har roj naa fir paraysaanee maahi.
O’ mortal, reflect on God by searching your heart everyday, then you would not sink into any worry or confusion .
ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਵੀਚਾਰ ਕਰ ਫਿਰ ਤੂੰ ਪਰੇਸਾਨੀ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਵੇਂਗਾ l
ਇਹ ਜੁ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਸਿਹਰੁ ਮੇਲਾ ਦਸਤਗੀਰੀ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ih jo dunee-aa sihar maylaa dasatgeeree naahi. ||1|| rahaa-o.
This world is an illusion like a magic show; in it there is nothing on which one can lay his hands on. ||1||Pause||
ਇਹ ਜਗਤ ਇਕ ਜਾਦੂ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਇਕ ਤਮਾਸ਼ਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਹੱਥ-ਪੱਲੇ ਪੈਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ੈ ਨਹੀਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਦਰੋਗੁ ਪੜਿ ਪੜਿ ਖੁਸੀ ਹੋਇ ਬੇਖਬਰ ਬਾਦੁ ਬਕਾਹਿ ॥
darog parh parh khusee ho-ay baykhabar baad bakaahi.
Reading and unnecessary discussing holy books of other faiths, some spiritually ignorant people find pleasure in proving them as false.
ਬੇ-ਸਮਝ ਲੋਕ (ਅਨ-ਮਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਧਰਮ-ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਹ) ਪੜ੍ਹ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ (ਕਿ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੋ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ) ਝੂਠ (ਹੈ), ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ ਹੋ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਬਹਿਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਹਕੁ ਸਚੁ ਖਾਲਕੁ ਖਲਕ ਮਿਆਨੇ ਸਿਆਮ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੨॥
hak sach khaalak khalak mi-aanay si-aam moorat naahi. ||2||
The eternal creator-God resides in His creation, He is not in the black idol of lord Krishana. ||2||
ਸੱਚਾ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਕਾਲੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਵਾਲਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਅਸਮਾਨ ਮਿ੍ਯ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਲਹੰਗ ਦਰੀਆ ਗੁਸਲ ਕਰਦਨ ਬੂਦ ॥
asmaan mi-yaanay lahang daree-aa gusal kardan bood.
O’ brother, God is flowing like a river in your conscience. You ought to have always remembered Him as if taking a bath in it,
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਰੂਪ ਦਰਿਆ ਅੰਤਹਕਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ ਮਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ,
ਕਰਿ ਫਕਰੁ ਦਾਇਮ ਲਾਇ ਚਸਮੇ ਜਹ ਤਹਾ ਮਉਜੂਦੁ ॥੩॥
kar fakar daa-im laa-ay chasmay jah tahaa ma-ujood. ||3||
and you were to become so humble, as if beholdind Him everywhere through the glasses (spiritually enlightened eyes) of a true saint. ||3||
ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਫ਼ਕੀਰੀ ਦੀ ਰਹਿਤ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਐਨਕਾਂ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਦੇਖ ਤਾਂ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕਿਥੇ, ਸਭ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਹਰੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਨਾਜ਼ਰ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਅਲਾਹ ਪਾਕੰ ਪਾਕ ਹੈ ਸਕ ਕਰਉ ਜੇ ਦੂਸਰ ਹੋਇ ॥
alaah paakaN paak hai sak kara-o jay doosar ho-ay.
God is the purest of the pure; I would doubt it only, if there were any other like Him.
ਰੱਬ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ (ਹਸਤੀ) ਹੈ (ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ), ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਵਿਚ ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਸ਼ੱਕ ਕਰਾਂ, ਜੇ ਉਸ ਰੱਬ ਵਰਗਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਦੂਜਾ ਹੋਵੇ।
ਕਬੀਰ ਕਰਮੁ ਕਰੀਮ ਕਾ ਉਹੁ ਕਰੈ ਜਾਨੈ ਸੋਇ ॥੪॥੧॥
kabeer karam kareem kaa uho karai jaanai so-ay. ||4||1||
O’ Kabeer, such awareness is acquired only by the one whom God Himself enables; it is entirely up to Him whom He grants this blessing. ||4||1||
ਹੇ ਕਬੀਰ! (ਇਸ ਭੇਤ ਨੂੰ) ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੀ ਸਮਝ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸਮਝਣ-ਜੋਗ ਬਣਾਏ। ਤੇ, ਇਹ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਉਸ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧॥

ਮੈ ਅੰਧੁਲੇ ਕੀ ਟੇਕ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਖੁੰਦਕਾਰਾ ॥
mai anDhulay kee tayk tayraa naam khundkaaraa.
O’ God! my sovereign king, I am void of any spiritual wisdom; Your Name is my only anchor and support.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ! ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਮੈਂ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਦੀ ਡੰਗੋਰੀ ਹੈ, ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੈ;
ਮੈ ਗਰੀਬ ਮੈ ਮਸਕੀਨ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਅਧਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
mai gareeb mai maskeen tayraa naam hai aDhaaraa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
I am poor and I am meek; Your Name is my only support. ||1||Pause||
ਮੈਂ ਕੰਗਾਲ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਆਜਿਜ਼ ਹਾਂ, ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ (ਹੀ) ਮੇਰਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਕਰੀਮਾਂ ਰਹੀਮਾਂ ਅਲਾਹ ਤੂ ਗਨੀ ॥
kareemaaN raheemaaN alaah too ganeeN.
O’ the benevolent and merciful God, You are the affluent Master.
ਹੇ ਅੱਲਾਹ! ਹੇ ਕਰੀਮ! ਹੇ ਰਹੀਮ! ਤੂੰ (ਹੀ) ਅਮੀਰ ਹੈਂ,
ਹਾਜਰਾ ਹਜੂਰਿ ਦਰਿ ਪੇਸਿ ਤੂੰ ਮਨੀ ॥੧॥
haajraa hajoor dar pays tooN maneeN. ||1||
You are ever-present and You are always with me. ||1||
ਤੂੰ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਹੈਂ ॥੧॥
ਦਰੀਆਉ ਤੂ ਦਿਹੰਦ ਤੂ ਬਿਸੀਆਰ ਤੂ ਧਨੀ ॥
daree-aa-o too dihand too bisee-aar too Dhanee.
O’ God! You are like the river of mercy, You are the benefactor and You are exceedingly wealthy.
ਤੂੰ ਰਹਿਮਤ ਦਾ ਦਰੀਆ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਦਾਤਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਧਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ;
ਦੇਹਿ ਲੇਹਿ ਏਕੁ ਤੂੰ ਦਿਗਰ ਕੋ ਨਹੀ ॥੨॥
deh layhi ayk tooN digar ko nahee. ||2||
You alone give and take everything to all of us, there is no other at all. ||2||
ਇੱਕ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇ ਮੋੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਐਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ ॥੨॥
ਤੂੰ ਦਾਨਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਬੀਨਾਂ ਮੈ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ਕਿਆ ਕਰੀ ॥
tooN daanaaN tooN beenaaN mai beechaar ki-aa karee.
O’ God, You are wise and omniscient; which of Your virtues may I reflect upon?
ਹੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਤੂੰ (ਸਭ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ) ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ ਤੇ (ਸਭ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ) ਵੇਖਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ; ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਗੁਣ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਰਾਂ?
ਨਾਮੇ ਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਬਖਸੰਦ ਤੂੰ ਹਰੀ ॥੩॥੧॥੨॥
naamay chay su-aamee bakhsand tooN haree. ||3||1||2||
O’ God! the Master of Namdev, You are the benefactor to all. ||3||1||2||
ਹੇ ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਦੇ ਖਸਮ! ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੩॥੧॥੨॥
ਹਲੇ ਯਾਰਾਂ ਹਲੇ ਯਾਰਾਂ ਖੁਸਿਖਬਰੀ ॥
halay yaaraaN halay yaaraaN khusikhabree.
O’ God! my friend, my mind becomes tranquil by listening to Your praises.
ਹੇ ਸੱਜਣ! ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ! ਤਰੀ ਸੋਇ ਠੰਢ ਪਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਕਥਾਂ ਕਹਾਣੀਆਂ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਠੰਡ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ);
ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਂਉ ਹਉ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਂਉ ॥
bal bal jaaN-o ha-o bal bal jaaN-o.
I am dedicated to you again and again.
ਮੈਂ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ, ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹਾਂ।
ਨੀਕੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਬਿਗਾਰੀ ਆਲੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
neekee tayree bigaaree aalay tayraa naa-o. ||1|| rahaa-o.
O’ God! Your Name is the most exalted, the task to which You have engaged me is also pleasing.||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ!ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵਧੀਕ ਪਿਆਰਾ (ਲੱਗਦਾ) ਹੈ, ਤੇਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਵਿਗਾਰ ਭੀ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਮਿੱਠੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਕੁਜਾ ਆਮਦ ਕੁਜਾ ਰਫਤੀ ਕੁਜਾ ਮੇ ਰਵੀ ॥
kujaa aamad kujaa raftee kujaa may ravee.
O’ God, neither you came from anywhere, nor You went anywhere, and You are not going anywhere either.
(ਹੇ ਸੱਜਣ!) ਨਾਹ ਤੂੰ ਕਿਤੋਂ ਆਇਆ, ਨਾਹ ਤੂੰ ਕਿਤੇ ਕਦੇ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਹ ਤੂੰ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ (ਭਾਵ, ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਅਟੱਲ ਹੈਂ)
ਦ੍ਵਾਰਿਕਾ ਨਗਰੀ ਰਾਸਿ ਬੁਗੋਈ ॥੧॥
davaarikaa nagree raas bugo-ee. ||1||
Tell me the truth, in the holy city of Dwaarikaa also it were You in the garb of Krisna. ||1||
ਦੁਆਰਕਾ ਨਗਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਰਾਸ ਭੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ (ਭਾਵ, ਕਿਸ਼ਨ ਭੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ) ॥੧॥
ਖੂਬੁ ਤੇਰੀ ਪਗਰੀ ਮੀਠੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਬੋਲ ॥
khoob tayree pagree meethay tayray bol.
O’ my friend, beautiful is your turban, and sweet are your divine words.
ਹੇ ਯਾਰ! ਸੋਹਣੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਪੱਗ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਸੋਹਣਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈ) ਤੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਬਚਨ ਹਨ,
ਦ੍ਵਾਰਿਕਾ ਨਗਰੀ ਕਾਹੇ ਕੇ ਮਗੋਲ ॥੨॥
davaarikaa nagree kaahay kay magol. ||2||
You are not only in Dwarka (the holy city of Hindus) or not only in Mecca (Islam’s religious place); O’ God! you are everywhere. ||2||
ਨਾਹ ਤੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਦੁਆਰਕਾ ਵਿਚ ਹੈਂ ਤੇ ਨਾਹ ਤੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨੀ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਮੱਕੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੈਂ , ਤੂੰ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਹੈਂ ॥੨॥
ਚੰਦੀ ਹਜਾਰ ਆਲਮ ਏਕਲ ਖਾਨਾਂ ॥
chandeeN hajaar aalam aykal khaanaaN.
You alone are the Master of so many thousands of worlds.
(ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੇ) ਕਈ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਮੰਡਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਤੂੰ ਇਕੱਲਾ (ਆਪ ਹੀ) ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈਂ।
ਹਮ ਚਿਨੀ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹ ਸਾਂਵਲੇ ਬਰਨਾਂ ॥੩॥
ham chinee paatisaah saaNvlay barnaaN. ||3||
O’ God! the sovereign king, You are also the dark-skinned Krishna. ||3||
ਹੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ! ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੀ ਸਾਉਲੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਾਲਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਭੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ) ॥੩॥
ਅਸਪਤਿ ਗਜਪਤਿ ਨਰਹ ਨਰਿੰਦ ॥
aspat gajpat narah narind.
You yourself are the sun-god and the rain-god Indra; You are also the god Brahma, the king of human beings.
ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸੂਰਜ-ਦੇਵਤਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਹੈਂ,
ਨਾਮੇ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਵਾਮੀ ਮੀਰ ਮੁਕੰਦ ॥੪॥੨॥੩॥
naamay kay savaamee meer mukand. ||4||2||3||
O’ God! the Master of Namdev, You are the sovereign king and the emancipator of all. ||4||2||3||
ਹੇ ਨਾਮੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ! ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੨॥੩॥
