ਇਕ ਬਸਤੁ ਅਗੋਚਰ ਲਹੀਐ ॥
ik basat agochar lahee-ai.
to receive an incomprehensible commodity of Naam.
(ਤਾਂਕਿ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਉਹ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ, ਜਿਸ ਤਕ ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ,
ਬਸਤੁ ਅਗੋਚਰ ਪਾਈ ॥
basat agochar paa-ee.
The person who receives that incomprehensible commodity of Naam,
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਅਪਹੁੰਚ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਘਟਿ ਦੀਪਕੁ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਈ ॥੨॥
ghat deepak rahi-aa samaa-ee. ||2||
the lamp of divine wisdom remains enshrined in that person’s heart. ||2||
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਉਹ ਦੀਵਾ ਫਿਰ ਸਦਾ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਅਬ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥
kahi kabeer ab jaani-aa.
Kabir says, I have now realized that incomprehensible God;
ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-ਉਸ ਅਪਹੁੰਚ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੀ ਭੀ ਜਾਣ-ਪਛਾਣ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਜਬ ਜਾਨਿਆ ਤਉ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ॥
jab jaani-aa ta-o man maani-aa.
since the time I have realized Him, my mind has been convinced about Him.
ਜਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਣ-ਪਛਾਣ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਉਸੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਪਰਚ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਮਨ ਮਾਨੇ ਲੋਗੁ ਨ ਪਤੀਜੈ ॥
man maanay log na pateejai.
My mind is pleased and appeased, and yet, people do not believe it.
ਮੇਰਾ ਚਿੱਤ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਲੋਕ ਇਸ ਤੇ ਇਤਬਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ।
ਨ ਪਤੀਜੈ ਤਉ ਕਿਆ ਕੀਜੈ ॥੩॥੭॥
na pateejai ta-o ki-aa keejai. ||3||7||
If they aren’t convinced, then what can I do? ||3||7||
ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਇਤਬਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਤਾਂ ਕੀਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਏ? ॥੩॥੭॥
ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਕਪਟੁ ਮੁਖ ਗਿਆਨੀ ॥
hirdai kapat mukh gi-aanee.
O’ man, within your mind is deceit, but you utter words of divine wisdom.
ਹੇਮਨੁੱਖ! ਤੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਤਾਂ ਠੱਗੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ (ਬ੍ਰਹਮ) ਗਿਆਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਝੂਠੇ ਕਹਾ ਬਿਲੋਵਸਿ ਪਾਨੀ ॥੧॥
jhoothay kahaa bilovas paanee. ||1||
O’ false one, why are you churning water?||1||
ਹੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ! ਤੂੰ ਕਿਉਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਰਿੜਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ?॥੧॥
ਕਾਂਇਆ ਮਾਂਜਸਿ ਕਉਨ ਗੁਨਾਂ ॥
kaaN-i-aa maaNjas ka-un gunaaN.
O’ man, for what purpose are you washing your body from outside,
(ਹੇ ਝੂਠੇ!) ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਫ਼ਾਇਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਮਾਂਜਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ (ਭਾਵ, ਬਾਹਰੋਂ ਸੁੱਚਾ ਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰਤਾ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈਂ)
ਜਉ ਘਟ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਹੈ ਮਲਨਾਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ja-o ghat bheetar hai malnaaN. ||1|| rahaa-o.
when there is filth of evil thoughts in it?||1||pause||
ਜੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ (ਕਪਟ ਦੀ) ਮੈਲ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਲਉਕੀ ਅਠਸਠਿ ਤੀਰਥ ਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਈ ॥
la-ukee athsath tirath nHaa-ee.
The bitter melon may be washed at the sixty-eight sacred shrines,
ਜੇ ਤੂੰਬੀ ਅਠਾਹਠ ਤੀਰਥਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਭੀ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰ ਲਏ,
ਕਉਰਾਪਨੁ ਤਊ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੨॥
ka-uraapan ta-oo na jaa-ee. ||2||
but even then, its bitterness is not removed; similarly, if one has filth of vices within, washing of the body doesn’t do any good.||2||
ਤਾਂ ਭੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ (ਅੰਦਰਲੀ) ਕੁੜਿੱਤਣ ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ॥੨॥
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਬੀਚਾਰੀ ॥
kahi kabeer beechaaree.
After thoughtful reflection, Kabir says:
ਕਬੀਰ ਤਾਂ ਸੋਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅੱਗੇ ਹੀ ਇਉਂ) ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ-
ਭਵ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਾਰਿ ਮੁਰਾਰੀ ॥੩॥੮॥
bhav saagar taar muraaree. ||3||8||
O’ God! please help me cross over the terrifying world-ocean of vices. ||3||8||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾ ਲੈ ॥੩॥੮॥

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik-oNkaar satgur parsaad.
One eternal God, realized by the grace of the True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਬਹੁ ਪਰਪੰਚ ਕਰਿ ਪਰ ਧਨੁ ਲਿਆਵੈ ॥
baho parpanch kar par Dhan li-aavai.
By practicing many deceits you bring home wealth which belongs to others,
ਕਈ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਠੱਗੀਆਂ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਾਇਆ ਮਾਲ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ,
ਸੁਤ ਦਾਰਾ ਪਹਿ ਆਨਿ ਲੁਟਾਵੈ ॥੧॥
sut daaraa peh aan lutaavai. ||1||
and then you squander it on your children and spouse.||1||
ਤੇ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਵਹੁਟੀ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੧॥
ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਭੂਲੇ ਕਪਟੁ ਨ ਕੀਜੈ ॥
man mayray bhoolay kapat na keejai.
O’ my strayed mind, do not practice deceit,
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਭੁੱਲੇ ਹੋਏ ਮਨ! (ਰੋਜ਼ੀ ਆਦਿਕ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾਲ) ਧੋਖਾ ਫ਼ਰੇਬ ਨਾਹ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰ।
ਅੰਤਿ ਨਿਬੇਰਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਜੀਅ ਪਹਿ ਲੀਜੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ant nibayraa tayray jee-a peh leejai. ||1|| rahaa-o.
In the end, your own soul shall have to answer for its account. ||1||Pause||
ਆਖ਼ਰ ਨੂੰਲੇਖਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਛਿਨੁ ਛਿਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਛੀਜੈ ਜਰਾ ਜਨਾਵੈ ॥
chhin chhin tan chheejai jaraa janaavai.
Moment by moment, the body is wearing away, and old age is asserting itself.
ਸਹਿਜੇ ਸਹਿਜੇਸਰੀਰ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਬੁਢੇਪੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੀਆਂ ਆ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਤਬ ਤੇਰੀ ਓਕ ਕੋਈ ਪਾਨੀਓ ਨ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੨॥
tab tayree ok ko-ee paanee-o na paavai. ||2||
Then, none of them would give you even a sip of water. ||2||
ਤਦੋਂ (ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ, ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਬੁੱਕ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਣਾ ॥੨॥
ਕਹਤੁ ਕਬੀਰੁ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀ ਤੇਰਾ ॥
kahat kabeer ko-ee nahee tayraa.
Kabeer says, no one is going to be your companion in the end.
ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-(ਹੇ ਜਿੰਦੇ!) ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਭੀ ਤੇਰਾ (ਸਾਥੀ) ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਨਾ।
ਹਿਰਦੈ ਰਾਮੁ ਕੀ ਨ ਜਪਹਿ ਸਵੇਰਾ ॥੩॥੯॥
hirdai raam kee na jaapeh savayraa. ||3||9||
why don’t you meditate on God while you are still young? ||3||9||
ਤੂੰ ਵੇਲੇ ਸਿਰ (ਹੁਣੇ ਹੁਣੇ) ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਉਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ? ॥੩॥੯॥
ਸੰਤਹੁ ਮਨ ਪਵਨੈ ਸੁਖੁ ਬਨਿਆ ॥
santahu man pavnai sukh bani-aa.
O’ dear saints, my air-like mercurial mind has now received spiritual peace.
ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਮੇਰੇ ਪਉਣ ਵਰਗੇ ਚੰਚਲ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਣ ਸੁਖ ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ,
ਕਿਛੁ ਜੋਗੁ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਗਨਿਆ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
kichh jog paraapat gani-aa. rahaa-o.
I feel that now this mind is somewhat fit for union with God.||pause||
(ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਮਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ) ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਜੋਗਾ ਥੋੜਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਗੁਰਿ ਦਿਖਲਾਈ ਮੋਰੀ ॥
gur dikhlaa-ee moree.
The Guru has shown me that weakness of mine,
(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ (ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਉਹ) ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰੀ ਵਿਖਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ,
ਜਿਤੁ ਮਿਰਗ ਪੜਤ ਹੈ ਚੋਰੀ ॥
jit mirag parhat hai choree.
because of which the animal-like vices were secretly taking over me.
ਜਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ (ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ) ਪਸ਼ੂ ਅਡੋਲ ਹੀ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਆ ਦਬਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ।
ਮੂੰਦਿ ਲੀਏ ਦਰਵਾਜੇ ॥
moond lee-ay darvaajay.
Now I have full control over my sensory organs, as if I have closed the doors through which bad thoughts were entering my mind,
ਮੈਂ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ (ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰੇ: ਪਰ ਨਿੰਦਾ, ਪਰ ਤਨ, ਪਰ ਧਨ ਆਦਿਕ ਵਲੋਂ) ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਲਏ ਹਨ,
ਬਾਜੀਅਲੇ ਅਨਹਦ ਬਾਜੇ ॥੧॥
baajee-alay anhad baajay. ||1||
and now within me viberates the non-stop divine music.||1||
ਤੇ (ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ) ਵਾਜੇ ਇੱਕ-ਰਸ ਵੱਜਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
ਕੁੰਭ ਕਮਲੁ ਜਲਿ ਭਰਿਆ ॥
kumbh kamal jal bhari-aa.
My heart was like a pitcher filled with water of evil impulses;
ਮੇਰਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ-ਕਮਲ ਰੂਪ ਘੜਾ (ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ) ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ,
ਜਲੁ ਮੇਟਿਆ ਊਭਾ ਕਰਿਆ ॥
jal mayti-aa oobhaa kari-aa.
I have spilled out the water of vices and set it upright (to receive virtues).
ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਪਾਣੀ ਡੋਲ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ (ਹਿਰਦੇ ਨੂੰ) ਉੱਚਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਜਨ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥
kaho kabeer jan jaani-aa.
Kabir says, now I, the devotee have realized God,
ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- (ਹੁਣ) ਮੈਂ ਦਾਸ ਨੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ) ਜਾਣ-ਪਛਾਣ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ,
ਜਉ ਜਾਨਿਆ ਤਉ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ॥੨॥੧੦॥
ja-o jaani-aa ta-o man maani-aa. ||2||10||
and since the time I have realized God, my mind is appeased.||2||10||
ਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਹ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਈ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ (ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ) ਗਿੱਝ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੧੦॥
ਰਾਗੁ ਸੋਰਠਿ ॥

Raag Sorath:
ਭੂਖੇ ਭਗਤਿ ਨ ਕੀਜੈ ॥
bhookhay bhagat na keejai.
O’ God, devotional worship cannot be performed with an empty stomach;
ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਭੁਖਿਆ ਭਗਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ।
ਯਹ ਮਾਲਾ ਅਪਨੀ ਲੀਜੈ ॥
yeh maalaa apnee leejai.
here is your rosary, take it back.
ਇਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਲਾ ਮੈਥੋਂ ਲੈ ਲਉ।
ਹਉ ਮਾਂਗਉ ਸੰਤਨ ਰੇਨਾ ॥
ha-o maaNga-o santan raynaa.
All I want is the dust of the feet (humble service) of the Saints.
ਮੈਂ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨ-ਧੂੜ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ,
ਮੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਿਸੀ ਕਾ ਦੇਨਾ ॥੧॥
mai naahee kisee kaa daynaa. ||1||
because I do not owe anything to anybody.||1||
ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਕੁਝ ਦੇਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ।॥੧॥
ਮਾਧੋ ਕੈਸੀ ਬਨੈ ਤੁਮ ਸੰਗੇ ॥
maaDho kaisee banai tum sangay.
O’ God, how can my friendship with You last, if I hesitate from You.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੈਥੋਂ ਸ਼ਰਮ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਨਿਭ ਸਕਣੀ;
ਆਪਿ ਨ ਦੇਹੁ ਤ ਲੇਵਉ ਮੰਗੇ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
aap na dayh ta layva-o mangay. rahaa-o.
If on Your own, You do not give me what I need, then I would get it by asking You. ||Pause||
ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਨਾਹ ਦੇਵੇਂਗਾ, ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਹੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਦੁਇ ਸੇਰ ਮਾਂਗਉ ਚੂਨਾ ॥ ਪਾਉ ਘੀਉ ਸੰਗਿ ਲੂਨਾ ॥
du-ay sayr maaNga-o choonaa. paa-o ghee-o sang loonaa.
I ask for four pounds of wheat flour and half a pound of clarified butter along with some salt.
ਮੈ ਦੋ ਸੇਰ ਆਟਾ, ਇਕ ਪਾਉ ਘਿਉ ਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਲੂਣ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ l
ਅਧ ਸੇਰੁ ਮਾਂਗਉ ਦਾਲੇ ॥
aDh sayr maaNga-o daalay.
I ask for a pound of beans,
ਮੈਂ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਅੱਧ ਸੇਰ ਦਾਲ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ-
ਮੋ ਕਉ ਦੋਨਉ ਵਖਤ ਜਿਵਾਲੇ ॥੨॥
mo ka-o don-o vakhat jivaalay. ||2||
which are enough to sustain me for both times (the morning and evening).||2||
ਇਹ ਚੀਜ਼ਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਵੇਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਗੁਜ਼ਰਾਨ ਲਈ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
ਖਾਟ ਮਾਂਗਉ ਚਉਪਾਈ ॥ ਸਿਰਹਾਨਾ ਅਵਰ ਤੁਲਾਈ ॥
khaat maaNga-o cha-upaa-ee. sirhaanaa avar tulaa-ee.
I ask for a cot with four legs, a pillow and a mattress.
ਸਾਬਤ ਮੰਜੀ,ਸਿਰਾਣਾ ਤੇ ਤੁਲਾਈ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ l
ਊਪਰ ਕਉ ਮਾਂਗਉ ਖੀਂਧਾ ॥
oopar ka-o maaNga-o kheeNDhaa.
I ask for a quilt to cover myself.
ਉਪਰ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਰਜ਼ਾਈ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ-
ਤੇਰੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰੈ ਜਨੁ ਥੀਧਾ ॥੩॥
tayree bhagat karai jan theeNDhaa. ||3||
so that this devotee may perform Your worship, imbued with Your love and devotion.||3||
ਬੱਸ! ਫਿਰ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਗਤ (ਸਰੀਰਕ ਲੋੜਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਬੇ-ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ) ਤੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿਚ ਭਿੱਜ ਕੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰੇਗਾ ॥੩॥
ਮੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਲਬੋ ॥ ਇਕੁ ਨਾਉ ਤੇਰਾ ਮੈ ਫਬੋ ॥
mai naahee keetaa labo. ik naa-o tayraa mai fabo.
O’ God, I have harboured no greed because all these things are necessities of life; in fact it is only Your Name which is pleasing to my mind.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂਕੋਈ ਲਾਲਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ (ਉਹ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਨਿਰਬਾਹ-ਮਾਤ੍ਰ ਹਨ) ਅਸਲ ਵਿਚ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ॥ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ਤਉ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥੪॥੧੧॥
kahi kabeer man maani-aa. man maani-aa ta-o har jaani-aa. ||4||11||
Kabir say, O’ God my mind is completely convinced about You, and when my mind was totally convinced, only then I truly understood You. ||4||11||
ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ (ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ) ਪਰਚਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਚਿਆ ਹੈ ਤਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੀ (ਡੂੰਘੀ) ਜਾਣ-ਪਛਾਣ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧੧॥
ਰਾਗੁ ਸੋਰਠਿ ਬਾਣੀ ਭਗਤ ਨਾਮਦੇ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਘਰੁ ੨

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik-oNkaar satgur parsaad.
One eternal God, realized by the grace of the True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਬ ਦੇਖਾ ਤਬ ਗਾਵਾ ॥
jab daykhaa tab gaavaa.
Whenever I see (experience glimps of) God, I sing His praises,
ਜਿਉਂ ਜਿਉਂ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਮੈਂ (ਆਪ-ਮੁਹਾਰਾ) ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ,
ਤਉ ਜਨ ਧੀਰਜੁ ਪਾਵਾ ॥੧॥
ta-o jan Dheeraj paavaa. ||1||
and only then I, a humble devotee of God, become content. ||1||
ਤੇ ਹੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਦਾਸ, ਸਬਰ ਸਿਦਕ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।॥੧॥
