ਨਾਨਕ ਭਏ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਹਰਿ ਤੀਰਥਿ ਨਾਇਆ ॥੨੬॥
naanak bha-ay puneet har tirath naa-i-aa. ||26||
O’ Nanak, such persons become immaculate by remaining in the holy congregation where God’s praises are sung. ||26||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਹਰੀ (ਦੇ ਭਜਨ-ਰੂਪ) ਤੀਰਥ ਤੇ ਨ੍ਹਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨੬॥

Shalok, Fourth Guru:
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਹੈ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥
gurmukh antar saaNt hai man tan naam samaa-ay.
Celestial peace prevails within a Guru’s follower, because his mind and body remains merged in Naam.
ਜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਠੰਢ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਮਨੋਂ ਤਨੋਂ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਮੋ ਚਿਤਵੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਪੜੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਹੈ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥
naamo chitvai naam parhai naam rahai liv laa-ay.
He contemplates Naam, he studies about Naam and remains absorbed in Naam.
ਉਹ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਚਿਤਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਗਈ ਬਿਲਾਇ ॥
naam padaarath paa-i-aa chintaa ga-ee bilaa-ay.
He receives the wealth of Naam, and his anxiety goes away.
ਨਾਮ (ਰੂਪ) ਸੁੰਦਰ ਵਸਤ ਲੱਭ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਐ ਨਾਮੁ ਊਪਜੈ ਤਿਸਨਾ ਭੁਖ ਸਭ ਜਾਇ ॥
satgur mili-ai naam oopjai tisnaa bhukh sabh jaa-ay.
Meeting with the Guru, Naam wells up in the heart and his yearning for worldly things goes away.
ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਣ ਤੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਮ ਪੁੰਗਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਭੁੱਖ ਸਾਰੀ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੇ ਰਤਿਆ ਨਾਮੋ ਪਲੈ ਪਾਇ ॥੧॥
naanak naamay rati-aa naamo palai paa-ay. ||1||
O’ Nanak, imbued with Naam, he amasses Naam in his heart. ||1||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਜਾਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ (ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਰੂਪ) ਪੱਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਉੱਕਰਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥

Fourth Mehl:
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪੁਰਖਿ ਜਿ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਿਆ ਘਰੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਗਇਆ ॥
satgur purakh je maari-aa bharam bharmi-aa ghar chhod ga-i-aa.
One who is cursed by the true Guru abandons his home and wanders around aimlessly.
ਜੋ ਸਰਬ-ਸ਼ਕਤੀਵਾਨ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਫਿਟਕਾਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਊਹ ਖੁਦ ਆਪਣਾ ਝੁੱਗਾ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਓਸੁ ਪਿਛੈ ਵਜੈ ਫਕੜੀ ਮੁਹੁ ਕਾਲਾ ਆਗੈ ਭਇਆ ॥
os pichhai vajai fakrhee muhu kaalaa aagai bha-i-aa.
His ill repute is spreading and wherever he goes, he is put to shame.
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਲੋਕ ਫੱਕੜੀ ਵਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੇ ਅੱਗੇ (ਜਿਥੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮੁਕਾਲਖ ਖੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਓਸੁ ਅਰਲੁ ਬਰਲੁ ਮੁਹਹੁ ਨਿਕਲੈ ਨਿਤ ਝਗੂ ਸੁਟਦਾ ਮੁਆ ॥
os aral baral muhhu niklai nit jhagoo sutdaa mu-aa.
All kinds of nonsense comes out of his mouth and every day he spiritually deteriorates in shame; he utters words of slander, like a mad dog spitting foam.
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਨਿਰਾ ਬਕਵਾਸ ਹੀ ਨਿਕਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਦੁੱਖੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਿਆ ਹੋਵੈ ਕਿਸੈ ਹੀ ਦੈ ਕੀਤੈ ਜਾਂ ਧੁਰਿ ਕਿਰਤੁ ਓਸ ਦਾ ਏਹੋ ਜੇਹਾ ਪਇਆ ॥
ki-aa hovai kisai hee dai keetai jaaN Dhur kirat os daa ayho jayhaa pa-i-aa.
Now, nobody can do anything to help him, because such is his pre-ordained destiny based on his past misdeeds.
ਕਿਸੇ ਜਣੇ ਦੇ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਦ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਬਲੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਕਾਰਣ,ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਐਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਲਿਖ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਥੈ ਓਹੁ ਜਾਇ ਤਿਥੈ ਓਹੁ ਝੂਠਾ ਕੂੜੁ ਬੋਲੇ ਕਿਸੈ ਨ ਭਾਵੈ ॥
jithai oh jaa-ay tithai oh jhoothaa koorh bolay kisai na bhaavai.
Wherever he goes he is judged false; no one likes him because of his lies.
ਉਹ (ਮਨਮੁਖ) ਜਿਥੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਥੇ ਹੀ ਝੂਠਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਝੂਠ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ।
ਵੇਖਹੁ ਭਾਈ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕੀ ਜੈਸਾ ਕੋਈ ਕਰੈ ਤੈਸਾ ਕੋਈ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
vaykhhu bhaa-ee vadi-aa-ee har santahu su-aamee apunay kee jaisaa ko-ee karai taisaa ko-ee paavai.
O’ brothers and saints, look at the glory of God, Your Master; whatever one sows, so does one reaps.
ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋਂ! ਪਿਆਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਵੇਖੋ, ਕਿ ਜਿਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਕਮਾਈ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਫਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਏਹੁ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਦਰਿ ਸਾਚੈ ਅਗੋ ਦੇ ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਆਖਿ ਸੁਣਾਵੈ ॥੨॥
ayhu barahm beechaar hovai dar saachai ago day jan naanak aakh sunaavai. ||2||
This is the divine deliberation that happens in the presence of the eternal God; devotee Nanak proclaims this in advance. ||2||
ਇਹ ਸੱਚੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਸੱਚੀ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥

ਗੁਰਿ ਸਚੈ ਬਧਾ ਥੇਹੁ ਰਖਵਾਲੇ ਗੁਰਿ ਦਿਤੇ ॥
gur sachai baDhaa thayhu rakhvaalay gur ditay.
The true Guru has established the holy congregation like a village; the Guru has also appointed saintly people as guards and protectors.
ਸੱਚੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ (ਸਤਸੰਗ-ਰੂਪ) ਪਿੰਡ ਵਸਾਇਆ ਹੈ, (ਉਸ ਪਿੰਡ ਲਈ ਸਤਸੰਗੀ) ਰਾਖੇ ਭੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਈ ਆਸ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਮਨ ਰਤੇ ॥
pooran ho-ee aas gur charnee man ratay.
Those whose minds are attuned to the Guru’s teachings, all their hopes are fulfilled.
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਮਿਟ ਗਈ ਹੈ)।
ਗੁਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲਿ ਬੇਅੰਤਿ ਅਵਗੁਣ ਸਭਿ ਹਤੇ ॥
gur kirpaal bay-ant avgun sabh hatay.
The Guru is infinite and merciful and he has destroyed all their sins.
ਦਿਆਲ ਤੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
ਗੁਰਿ ਅਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰਿ ਅਪਣੇ ਕਰਿ ਲਿਤੇ ॥
gur apnee kirpaa Dhaar apnay kar litay.
bestowing mercy, the Guru has made them his own.
ਆਪਣੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰ ਜਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਇਤੇ ॥੨੭॥
naanak sad balihaar jis gur kay gun itay. ||27||
O’ Nanak, I am dedicated forever to the Guru, who has countless virtues. ||27||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਇਤਨੇ ਗੁਣ ਹਨ ॥੨੭॥

Shalok, First Guru:
ਤਾ ਕੀ ਰਜਾਇ ਲੇਖਿਆ ਪਾਇ ਅਬ ਕਿਆ ਕੀਜੈ ਪਾਂਡੇ ॥
taa kee rajaa-ay laykhi-aa paa-ay ab ki-aa keejai paaNday.
O’ pundit, we all receive what God has preordained for us, and so nothing can be done now.
ਹੇ ਪੰਡਿਤ! ਐਸ ਵੇਲੇ (ਝੁਰਿਆਂ) ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਦਾ; ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਵਿਚ (ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ) ਲਿਖਿਆ (ਲੇਖ) ਪਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ;
ਹੁਕਮੁ ਹੋਆ ਹਾਸਲੁ ਤਦੇ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਬੜਿਆ ਹੰਢਹਿ ਜੀਅ ਕਮਾਂਦੇ ॥੧॥
hukam ho-aa haasal taday ho-ay nibrhi-aa handheh jee-a kamaaNday. ||1||
God’s command was issued on the basis of the past deeds, and the destiny was settled; that is what the creatures live by. ||1||
ਜਦੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਹੋਇਆ ਤਦੋਂ ਇਹ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਤੇ (ਉਸ ਲੇਖ-ਅਨੁਸਾਰ) ਜੀਵ (ਕਰਮ) ਕਮਾਂਦੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥

Second Guru:
ਨਕਿ ਨਥ ਖਸਮ ਹਥ ਕਿਰਤੁ ਧਕੇ ਦੇ ॥
nak nath khasam hath kirat Dhakay day.
One is totally under the control of God as if a ring is placed in one’s nose with control in God’s hands; one’s own deeds drive him on.
ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਨੱਕ ਵਿਚ (ਰਜ਼ਾ ਦੀ) ਨੱਥ (ਨਕੇਲ) ਹੈ ਜੋ ਖਸਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ, ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਬਣਿਆ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਹੁਣ ਧੱਕ ਕੇ ਚਲਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਹਾ ਦਾਣੇ ਤਹਾਂ ਖਾਣੇ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਸਚੁ ਹੇ ॥੨॥
jahaa daanay tahaaN khaanay naankaa sach hay. ||2||
O’ Nanak, the truth is that wherever one is destined to receive one’s sustenance, one has to go and get it there. ||2||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸੱਚ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਿਥੇ ਜੀਵ ਦਾ ਦਾਣਾ-ਪਾਣੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਥੇ ਖਾਣਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥

Pauree:
ਸਭੇ ਗਲਾ ਆਪਿ ਥਾਟਿ ਬਹਾਲੀਓਨੁ ॥
sabhay galaa aap thaat bahaalee-on.
God has Himself puts everything in its proper place.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ (ਜਗਤ-) ਵਿਓਂਤਾਂ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਕਾਇਮ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ;
ਆਪੇ ਰਚਨੁ ਰਚਾਇ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਘਾਲਿਓਨੁ ॥
aapay rachan rachaa-ay aapay hee ghaali-on.
God Himself created the creation, and He Himself destroys it
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਰਚ ਕੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ;
ਆਪੇ ਜੰਤ ਉਪਾਇ ਆਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਿਓਨੁ ॥
aapay jant upaa-ay aap partipaali-on.
God Himself creates the beings and creatures, and He Himself provides them with sustenance.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਪਾਲਦਾ ਹੈ;
ਦਾਸ ਰਖੇ ਕੰਠਿ ਲਾਇ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲਿਓਨੁ ॥
daas rakhay kanth laa-ay nadar nihaali-on.
God keeps His devotees close to Him, and blesses them with His glance of grace.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਲ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਭਗਤਾ ਸਦਾ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਭਾਉ ਦੂਜਾ ਜਾਲਿਓਨੁ ॥੨੮॥
naanak bhagtaa sadaa anand bhaa-o doojaa jaali-on. ||28||
O’ Nanak, there is always bliss in the minds of the devotees, because God Himself has burnt down their love for duality (worldly riches and power). ||28||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਤਾ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੮॥

Shalok, Third Guru:
ਏ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਧਿਆਇ ਤੂ ਇਕ ਮਨਿ ਇਕ ਚਿਤਿ ਭਾਇ ॥
ay man har jee Dhi-aa-ay too ik man ik chit bhaa-ay.
O’ my mind, remember the beloved God with single-minded devotion and love.
ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਇਕਾਗ੍ਰ ਚਿੱਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ;
ਹਰਿ ਕੀਆ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਵਡਿਆਈਆ ਦੇਇ ਨ ਪਛੋਤਾਇ ॥
har kee-aa sadaa sadaa vadi-aa-ee-aa day-ay na pachhotaa-ay. .
These are always the glories of God, that He never regrets bestowing sustenance to all.
ਹਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਗੁਣ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਦਾਤ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਕੇ ਪਛੁਤਾਉਂਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ।
ਹਉ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਣੈ ਜਿਤੁ ਸੇਵਿਐ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇ ॥
ha-o har kai sad balihaarnai jit sayvi-ai sukh paa-ay.
I am always dedicated to God; by remembering whom we receive peace.
ਮੈਂ ਹਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਸੁਖ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ;
ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਰਹੈ ਹਉਮੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਜਲਾਇ ॥੧॥
naanak gurmukh mil rahai ha-umai sabad jalaa-ay. ||1||
O’ Nanak, the Guru’s followers burn their ego through the divine word and remain merged with God. ||1||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਜਨ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸਾੜ ਕੇ ਹਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥

Third Guru:
ਆਪੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਾਇਅਨੁ ਆਪੇ ਬਖਸ ਕਰੇਇ ॥
aapay sayvaa laa-i-an aapay bakhas karay-i.
God Himself enjoins people to His devotional worship and He Himself showers His grace.
ਹਰੀ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਿਚ ਲਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਮਾ ਪਿਉ ਆਪਿ ਹੈ ਆਪੇ ਸਾਰ ਕਰੇਇ ॥
sabhnaa kaa maa pi-o aap hai aapay saar karay-i.
He Himself is like the mother and the father of all; He Himself takes care of all.
ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਂ ਪਿਉ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਨਿ ਤਿਨ ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਵਾਸੁ ਹੈ ਜੁਗੁ ਜੁਗੁ ਸੋਭਾ ਹੋਇ ॥੨॥
naanak naam Dhi-aa-in tin nij ghar vaas hai jug jug sobhaa ho-ay. ||2||
O’ Nanak, those who meditate on Naam, remain stable in their mind; their glory is acclaimed age after age. ||2||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਟਿਕਾਣੇ ਤੇ ਟਿਕੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਹਰੇਕ ਜੁਗ ਵਿਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥

ਤੂ ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਹਹਿ ਕਰਤੇ ਮੈ ਤੁਝ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥
too karan kaaran samrath heh kartay mai tujh bin avar na ko-ee.
O’ Creator, You are capable of accomplishing everything; except You, I see none other as great as You.
ਹੇ ਕਰਤਾਰ! ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ-ਜੋਗਾ ਹੈਂ; ਤੇਰੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਜੇਡਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ;
