ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਸਾਧ ਸਰਣਿ ਛੁਟਕਾਰਾ ॥
mayray man saaDh saran chhutkaaraa.
O’ my mind, liberation from worldly attachments can be attained in the refuge of the saint-Guru,
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆਂ ਹੀ (ਮੋਹ ਤੋਂ) ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣੁ ਨ ਰਹਈ ਫਿਰਿ ਆਵਤ ਬਾਰੋ ਬਾਰਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
bin gur pooray janam maran na rah-ee fir aavat baaro baaraa. rahaa-o.
The cycle of birth and death does not end without following the teachings of the perfect Guru and one keeps coming in this world again and again. ||Pause||
ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ (ਜੀਵ ਦਾ) ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ (ਦਾ ਗੇੜ) ਨਹੀਂ ਮੁੱਕਦਾ, (ਜੀਵ) ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ (ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਆਉਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਓਹੁ ਜੁ ਭਰਮੁ ਭੁਲਾਵਾ ਕਹੀਅਤ ਤਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਉਰਝਿਓ ਸਗਲ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ ॥
oh jo bharam bhulaavaa kahee-at tin meh urjhi-o sagal sansaaraa.
The entire world is entangled in what is called doubt and illusion.
ਜਿਸ ਮਾਨਸਕ ਹਾਲਤ ਨੂੰ ‘ਭਰਮ ਭੁਲਾਵਾ’ ਆਖੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ ਉਹਨਾਂ (ਭਰਮ ਭੁਲਾਵਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ) ਫਸਿਆ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਪੂਰਨ ਭਗਤੁ ਪੁਰਖ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕਾ ਸਰਬ ਥੋਕ ਤੇ ਨਿਆਰਾ ॥੨॥
pooran bhagat purakh su-aamee kaa sarab thok tay ni-aaraa. ||2||
A perfect devotee of the all pervading God remains detached from all worldly allurements. ||2||
ਪਰੰਤੂ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਭਗਤ (ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ (ਦੇ ਮੋਹ) ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਨਿੰਦਉ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਾਹੂ ਬਾਤੈ ਏਹੁ ਖਸਮ ਕਾ ਕੀਆ ॥
ninda-o naahee kaahoo baatai ayhu khasam kaa kee-aa.
Do not slander others for any reason, because all this is God’s doing.
ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਗੱਲੋਂ ਨਾ ਨਿੰਦੋ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਮਾਲਕ ਦਾ ਰਚਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਜਾ ਕਉ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਮੇਰੈ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਨਾਉ ਲੀਆ ॥੩॥
jaa ka-o kirpaa karee parabh mayrai mil saaDhsangat naa-o lee-aa. ||3||
The one on whom my God has shown mercy, escapes from slandering by meditating on Naam in the holy congregation. ||3||
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਉਹ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਮੋਹ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਨਿਕਲਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਰਤ ਉਧਾਰਾ ॥
paarbarahm parmaysur satgur sabhnaa karat uDhaaraa.
The true Guru, the embodiment of the all pervading supreme God, saves all who come to his refuge.
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਰ-ਉਤਾਰਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਹੀ ਤਰੀਐ ਇਹੁ ਪੂਰਨ ਤਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਾ ॥੪॥੯॥
kaho naanak gur bin nahee taree-ai ih pooran tat beechaaraa. ||4||9||
Nanak says, the perfect essence of all contemplation is that we cannot swim across the worldly ocean of vices without following the Guru’s teachings. ||4||9||
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਸਾਰੀ ਸੋਚ-ਵੀਚਾਰ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਨਚੋੜ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੰਘ ਸਕੀਦਾ ॥੪॥੯॥

Raag Sorath, Fifth Guru:
ਖੋਜਤ ਖੋਜਤ ਖੋਜਿ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਓ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਤਤੁ ਸਾਰਾ ॥
khojat khojat khoj beechaari-o raam naam tat saaraa.
After searching again and again, I have come to the conclusion that meditation on God’s Name is the supreme essence of human life.
ਬੜੀ ਲੰਮੀ ਖੋਜ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਸਿਮਰਨਾ ਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਸਲੀਅਤ ਹੈ।
ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਕਾਟੇ ਨਿਮਖ ਅਰਾਧਿਆ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਉਤਾਰਾ ॥੧॥
kilbikh kaatay nimakh araaDhi-aa gurmukh paar utaaraa. ||1||
Meditation on Naam through the Guru’s teachings, even for an instant, erases all sins and ferries one across the world-ocean of vices. ||1||
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆਂ ਇਹ ਨਾਮ ਅੱਖ ਦੇ ਫੋਰ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਕੱਟ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਾਗਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਵਹੁ ਪੁਰਖ ਗਿਆਨੀ ॥
har ras peevhu purakh gi-aanee.
O’ spiritually wise persons, partake the elixir of God’s Name.
ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਪੀਆ ਕਰ।
ਸੁਣਿ ਸੁਣਿ ਮਹਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਮਨੁ ਪਾਵੈ ਸਾਧੂ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਨੀ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sun sun mahaa taripat man paavai saaDhoo amrit baanee. rahaa-o.
By listening to the ambrosial words of the Guru again and again, the mind finds absolute fulfillment and satisfaction. ||Pause||
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਸੰਤੋਖ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਮੁਕਤਿ ਭੁਗਤਿ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਸਚੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖਾ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ॥
mukat bhugat jugat sach paa-ee-ai sarab sukhaa kaa daataa.
Liberation from all vices, all pleasures and righteous way of life are received from the eternal God, the bestower of celestial peace.
ਕਲਿਆਣ, ਨਿਆਮਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਰਹੁ ਰੀਤੀ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਣਹਾਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਅਪੁਨੇ ਦਾਸ ਕਉ ਭਗਤਿ ਦਾਨੁ ਦੇਵੈ ਪੂਰਨ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ॥੨॥
apunay daas ka-o bhagat daan dayvai pooran purakh biDhaataa. ||2||
God, the perfect supreme being and the creator of the universe, gives the boon of devotional worship to His devotees. ||2||
ਉਹ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਭਗਤੀ ਦਾ (ਇਹ) ਦਾਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ (ਹੀ) ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਸ੍ਰਵਣੀ ਸੁਣੀਐ ਰਸਨਾ ਗਾਈਐ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਸੋਈ ॥
sarvanee sunee-ai rasnaa gaa-ee-ai hirdai Dhi-aa-ee-ai so-ee.
We should listen to God’s Name with our ears, sing His praises with our tongue, and lovingly remember Him in our heart.
ਉਸ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ) ਹੀ (ਨਾਮ) ਨੂੰ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੀਭ ਨਾਲ ਗਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਆਰਾਧਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜਾ ਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥੩॥
karan kaaran samrath su-aamee jaa tay baritha na ko-ee. ||3||
No one comes out empty handed from God, the all-powerful being and the cause of causes. ||3||
ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਮੂਲ ਸਭ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਜੀਵ ਖ਼ਾਲੀ-ਹੱਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ॥੩॥
ਵਡੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਰਤਨ ਜਨਮੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਕਰਹੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ॥
vadai bhaag ratan janam paa-i-aa karahu kirpaa kirpaalaa.
O’ merciful God, by great good fortune, I have received this jewel-like priceless human life; bestow mercy so that.
ਹੇ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ! ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਲੱਭਾ ਹੈ, ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ,
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਸਿਮਰੈ ਸਦਾ ਗੋੁਪਾਲਾ ॥੪॥੧੦॥
saaDhsang naanak gun gaavai simrai sadaa gopaalaa. ||4||10||
Nanak may sing Your praises in the company of saintly persons and may always lovingly remember You, the sustainer of the universe. ||4||10||
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਹੇ, ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹੇ, ਹੇ ਗੋਪਾਲ! ॥੪॥੧੦॥

ਕਰਿ ਇਸਨਾਨੁ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਮਨ ਤਨ ਭਏ ਅਰੋਗਾ ॥
kar isnaan simar parabh apnaa man tan bha-ay arogaa.
The mind and body become free of all afflictions by remembering God.
ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਨਰੋਏ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਕੋਟਿ ਬਿਘਨ ਲਾਥੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੇ ਭਲੇ ਸੰਜੋਗਾ ॥੧॥
kot bighan laathay parabh sarnaa pargatay bhalay sanjogaa. ||1||
On submission to God’s will, all obstacles in life vanish and good fortune dawns.||1||
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆਂ (ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ) ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਰੁਕਾਵਟਾਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਤੇ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਅਵਸਰ ਉੱਘੜ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੁਭਾਖਿਆ ॥
parabh banee sabad subhaakhi-aa.
The divine word of God’s praises has been beautifully uttered by the Guru.
ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਉਚਾਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਹੈ।
ਗਾਵਹੁ ਸੁਣਹੁ ਪੜਹੁ ਨਿਤ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੈ ਤੂ ਰਾਖਿਆ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
gaavhu sunhu parhahu nit bhaa-ee gur poorai too raakhi-aa. rahaa-o.
O’ brother, always sing, listen and read the divine word of God’s praises; the perfect Guru has saved you from all obstacles in life. ||Pause||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਗਾਂਦੇ , ਸੁਣਦੇ , ਪੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਰਹੋ, ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ (ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਰੁਕਾਵਟਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਅਮਿਤਿ ਵਡਾਈ ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥
saachaa saahib amit vadaa-ee bhagat vachhal da-i-aalaa.
The merciful and eternal God of limitless glory is the lover of devotional worship.
ਦਇਆ ਵਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗੀ ਮਿਣੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ, ਉਹ ਭਗਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ,
ਸੰਤਾ ਕੀ ਪੈਜ ਰਖਦਾ ਆਇਆ ਆਦਿ ਬਿਰਦੁ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਾ ॥੨॥
santaa kee paij rakh-daa aa-i-aa aad birad partipaalaa. ||2||
God has been preserving the honor of His saints and to cherish them is His innate nature since the beginning of time. ||2||
ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਸਦਾ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਢ-ਕਦੀਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਭੋਜਨੁ ਨਿਤ ਭੁੰਚਹੁ ਸਰਬ ਵੇਲਾ ਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਵਹੁ ॥
har amrit naam bhojan nit bhunchahu sarab vaylaa mukh paavhu.
O’ brother, daily partake the ambrosial food of God’s Name and utter it from your mouth at all times.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਸਦਾ ਖਾਂਦੇ ਰਹੋ, ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਂਦੇ ਰਹੋ।
ਜਰਾ ਮਰਾ ਤਾਪੁ ਸਭੁ ਨਾਠਾ ਗੁਣ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਨਿਤ ਗਾਵਹੁ ॥੩॥
jaraa maraa taap sabh naathaa gun gobind nit gaavhu. ||3||
Every day sing praises of God, all your problems associated with old age, fear of death, and all afflictions will fly away. ||3||
ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਸਦਾ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਰਹੋ (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ) ਨਾਹ ਬੁਢੇਪਾ ਆਵੇਗਾ ਨਾ ਮੌਤ ਆਵੇਗੀ, ਹਰੇਕ ਦੁੱਖ-ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਇਗਾ ॥੩॥
ਸੁਣੀ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮੇਰੈ ਸਰਬ ਕਲਾ ਬਣਿ ਆਈ ॥
sunee ardaas su-aamee mayrai sarab kalaa ban aa-ee.
My Master listened to my prayer and all kind of power became menifest in me.
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਸੁਣ ਲਈ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਈ l
ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਭਈ ਸਗਲੇ ਜੁਗ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥੪॥੧੧॥
pargat bha-ee saglay jug antar gur naanak kee vadi-aa-ee. ||4||11||
O’ Nanak, the glory of the Guru is manifest throughout all the ages. ||4||11||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੁਗਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਪਰਤੱਖ ਉੱਘੜ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧੧॥

One eternal God, realized by the grace of the True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਏਕੁ ਪਿਤਾ ਏਕਸ ਕੇ ਹਮ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਤੂ ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਰ ਹਾਈ ॥
ayk pitaa aykas kay ham baarik too mayraa gur haa-ee.
The one God is our father, we are the children of the same one God and You are my Guru as well.
(ਸਾਡਾ) ਇਕੋ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਿਤਾ ਹੈ, ਅਸੀਂ ਇਕੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਹਾਂ, (ਫਿਰ,) ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਰਭਾਈ (ਭੀ) ਹੈਂ।
ਸੁਣਿ ਮੀਤਾ ਜੀਉ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਸੀ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਹੁ ਦਿਖਾਈ ॥੧॥
sun meetaa jee-o hamaaraa bal bal jaasee har darsan dayh dikhaa-ee. ||1||
O’ my dear friend, listen: my life would be dedicated to you forever if you make me experience the blessed vision of God. ||1||
ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰਾ ਦੇਹ। ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਇਆ ਕਰੇਗੀ ॥੧॥
