ਗਿਆਨ ਮੰਗੀ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਚੰਗੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਗਤਿ ਮਿਤਿ ਜਾਣੀਆ ॥
gi-aan mangee har kathaa changee har naam gat mit jaanee-aa.
It keeps singing the praises of God, meditates on His Name and tries to understand Him and His Dignity.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਇਹ ਸਮਝਣ ਦਾ ਜਤਨ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਕਿਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਤੇ ਕੇਡਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਭੁ ਜਨਮੁ ਸਫਲਿਉ ਕੀਆ ਕਰਤੈ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਿ ਵਖਾਣੀਆ ॥
sabh janam safli-o kee-aa kartai har raam naam vakhaanee-aa.
The Creator God has rendered its entire life fruitful because it remains attuned to God and keeps on reciting the praises of His Name.
ਕਰਤਾਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਨਮ ਸਫਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਉਚਾਰਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਲਾਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਮੰਗੀਆ ॥
har raam naam salaahi har parabh har bhagat har jan mangee-aa.
The devotees of God always keep praising the Naam and keep requesting for the gift of God’s devotion.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ (ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ) ਮੰਗਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਜਨੁ ਕਹੈ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਸੁਣਹੁ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਚੰਗੀਆ ॥੧॥
jan kahai naanak sunhu santahu har bhagat govind changee-aa. ||1||
In short, the Devotee Nanak says: “Listen, O’ saints, meditation of God is sublime. ||1||
ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ, ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ, ਸੁਣੋ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਚੰਗੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਦੇਹ ਕੰਚਨ ਜੀਨੁ ਸੁਵਿਨਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
dayh kanchan jeen suvinaa raam.
That human body which meditates on God’s Name is like a young mare embellished with golden saddle,
ਉਹ ਕਾਂਇਆਂ (-ਘੋੜੀ, ਮਾਨੋ,) ਸੋਨੇ ਦੀ ਹੈ,
ਜੜਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਤੰਨਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
jarh har har naam ratannaa raam.
which is studded with the jewels of God’s Name.
ਜੋ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਰਤਨ ਜੜ ਕੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੀ ਕਾਠੀ ਪਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਜੜਿ ਨਾਮ ਰਤਨੁ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਸੁਖ ਘਣੇ ॥
jarh naam ratan govind paa-i-aa har milay har gun sukh ghanay.
The person who by studding with the jewels of God’s Name has put a saddle of Guru’s shabad, has realised God and he has been blessed with all sorts of comforts.
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਰਤਨ ਜੜ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਖ ਹੀ ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗ ਹਰਿ ਬਣੇ ॥
gur sabad paa-i-aa har naam Dhi-aa-i-aa vadbhaagee har rang har banay.
One who has been blessed with Guru’s Word and has started meditating on God’s Name, has become fortunate and has been attuned with the love of God.
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿਤਾ, ਉਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿਚ ਉਘੜ ਪਿਆ।
ਹਰਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਵਤਨ ਹਰਿ ਨਵ ਰੰਗੀਆ ॥
har milay su-aamee antarjaamee har navtan har nav rangee-aa.
This way he gets united with The Omniscient God the Master who is ever fresh, young and supernatural.
ਇੰਜ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਲਕ ਤੇ ਹਰ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਜਾਨਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਨਵਾਂ-ਨਰੋਆ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਚੋਜਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਵਖਾਣੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਾਣੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੰਗੀਆ ॥੨॥
naanak vakhaanai naam jaanai har naam har parabh mangee-aa. ||2||
O’ Nanak, this way he builds a profound union with God’s Name and he begs for Naam all the time.||2||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਇੰਜ ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਕੜੀਆਲੁ ਮੁਖੇ ਗੁਰਿ ਅੰਕਸੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
karhee-aal mukhay gur ankas paa-i-aa raam.
The Guru has controlled the body-mare by placing the bridle of Guru’s Word in its mouth,
ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਕਾਂਇਆਂ-ਘੋੜੀ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਲਗਾਮ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਕੁੰਡਾ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ,
ਮਨੁ ਮੈਗਲੁ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਵਸਿ ਆਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
man maigal gur sabad vas aa-i-aa raam.
and his elephant-like mind has come under control by the grace of Guru’s Word.
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ-ਹਾਥੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਮਨੁ ਵਸਗਤਿ ਆਇਆ ਪਰਮ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਾ ਧਨ ਕੰਤਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥
man vasgat aa-i-aa param pad paa-i-aa saa Dhan kant pi-aaree.
The soul-bride, whose mind has come under control, has been blessed with the supreme spiritual status, and she becomes dear to her Spouse God.
ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਗਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਦਰਜਾ ਪਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਕੰਤ ਦੀ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ।
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੁ ਲਗਾ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਘਰਿ ਸੋਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਾਰੀ ॥
antar paraym lagaa har saytee ghar sohai har parabh naaree.
Love of God has welled up within that soul-bride’s mind and thus she looks graceful in the presence of God.
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਤੇ ਇੰਜ ਉਹ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੀ ਸਹਜੇ ਮਾਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
har rang raatee sehjay maatee har parabh har har paa-i-aa.
The soul-bride who is imbued with the love of God, remains absorbed in a state of spiritual poise and is blessed with union with God.
ਜੇਹੜੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਦਾਸੁ ਕਹਤੁ ਹੈ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥੩॥
naanak jan har daas kahat hai vadbhaagee har har Dhi-aa-i-aa. ||3||
Therefore, Devotee Nanak says: “Only very fortunate persons meditate on God’s Name. ||3||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ-ਦਾਸ! ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਜੀਵ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
ਦੇਹ ਘੋੜੀ ਜੀ ਜਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
dayh ghorhee jee jit har paa-i-aa raam.
O’ my friends, that human body-mare which has been blessed with the union with God,
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਕਾਂਇਆਂ-ਘੋੜੀ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ,
ਮਿਲਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੀ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਗਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
mil satgur jee mangal gaa-i-aa raam.
keeps singing songs of joy in praise of God after meeting with the Guru.
ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਂਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਗਾਇ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਾ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵ ਸੇਵਕ ਸੇਵਕੀ ॥
har gaa-ay mangal raam naamaa har sayv sayvak sayvkee.
Whosoever sings praises of God and meditates on God’s Name with true devotion,
ਜੋ ਸੇਵਕ-ਭਾਵ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਗਾ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜਾਇ ਪਾਵੈ ਰੰਗ ਮਹਲੀ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗੁ ਮਾਣੈ ਰੰਗ ਕੀ ॥
parabh jaa-ay paavai rang mahlee har rang maanai rang kee.
arrives in God’s blissful presence and enjoys the union with God and His grace.
ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਆਨੰਦ-ਭਰੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਪਹੁੰਚਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਣ ਰਾਮ ਗਾਏ ਮਨਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਮਨਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
gun raam gaa-ay man subhaa-ay har gurmatee man Dhi-aa-i-aa.
A person who sings praises of God with loving devotion and meditates on God by living in accordance with Guru’s teachings,
ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮੱਤ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ਦੇਹ ਘੋੜੀ ਚੜਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੨॥੬॥
jan naanak har kirpaa Dhaaree dayh ghorhee charh har paa-i-aa. ||4||2||6||
O’ Devotee Nanak, God shows mercy on him and he realises God by riding on his body-mare. ||4||2||6||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ-ਦਾਸ! ਉਸ ਉਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਾਂਇਆਂ-ਘੋੜੀ ਉਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੨॥੬॥

ਰਾਗ ਵਡਹੰਸ, ਘਰ ੪ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ‘ਛੰਤ’।
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਲਧਾ ਜੀ ਰਾਮੁ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
gur mil laDhaa jee raam pi-aaraa raam.
O’ my friends, he realises his Beloved God after meeting the Guru,
ਹੇ ਜੀ! ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਲੱਭਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਇਹੁ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਦਿਤੜਾ ਵਾਰੋ ਵਾਰਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
ih tan man dit-rhaa vaaro vaaraa raam.
therefore, one who offers his mind and body to Guru as a sacrifice,
ਜੋ ਆਪਣਾ ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਮਨ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ) ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਦਿਤਾ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਜਿਤਾ ਚੂਕੀ ਕਾਂਣਿ ਜਮਾਣੀ ॥
tan man ditaa bhavjal jitaa chookee kaaNn jamaanee.
and surrenders his body and mind to the Guru, conquers the dreadful worldly ocean and his fear of death is shaken off,
ਜੋ ਆਪਣਾ ਤਨ ਮਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੁਥਾਜੀ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਅਸਥਿਰੁ ਥੀਆ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਆ ਰਹਿਆ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣੀ ॥
asthir thee-aa amrit pee-aa rahi-aa aavan jaanee.
and he becomes tranquil by drinking the rejuvenating nectar of God and his cycle of birth and death comes to an end.
ਤੇ ਉਹ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਦਿਤਾ) ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ ਪੀ ਕੇ ਅਡੋਲ-ਚਿੱਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਗੇੜ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸੋ ਘਰੁ ਲਧਾ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਧਾ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਧਾਰਾ ॥
so ghar laDhaa sahj samDhaa har kaa naam aDhaaraa.
He is blessed with the union with God where he enters into a trance of equipoise, and God’s Name becomes his main stay.
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਘਰ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਖਿ ਮਾਣੇ ਰਲੀਆਂ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੰਉ ਨਮਸਕਾਰਾ ॥੧॥
kaho naanak sukh maanay ralee-aaN gur pooray kaN-u namaskaaraa. ||1||
Nanak says that that person who bows to the Perfect Guru, enjoys peace and spiritual bliss. ||1||
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੁਖ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ (ਸਦਾ) ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਸੁਣਿ ਸਜਣ ਜੀ ਮੈਡੜੇ ਮੀਤਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
sun sajan jee maidrhay meetaa raam.
Listen, O’ my dear companion and friend,
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੱਜਣ! ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ! ਸੁਣ!
ਗੁਰਿ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਸਚੁ ਦੀਤਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
gur mantar sabad sach deetaa raam.
the Guru has given the mantra of True Word of Eternal God,
ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਵਾਲਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ-ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਚੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਗਾਇਆ ਚੂਕੇ ਮਨਹੁ ਅਦੇਸਾ ॥
sach sabad Dhi-aa-i-aa mangal gaa-i-aa chookay manhu adaysaa.
The worries of that person who meditates upon the Eternal God’s praiseworthy Word and sings His praises, are completely removed.
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਜੋ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ (ਸਦਾ) ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਤੋਂ ਚਿੰਤਾ-ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਕਤਹਿ ਨ ਜਾਇਆ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਸੰਗਿ ਬੈਸਾ ॥
so parabh paa-i-aa kateh na jaa-i-aa sadaa sadaa sang baisaa.
Thus he is blessed with union with God and he remains attuned to God instead of going astray.
ਇੰਜ ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀ ਭਾਣਾ ਸਚਾ ਮਾਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਸਹਜੇ ਦੀਤਾ ॥
parabh jee bhaanaa sachaa maanaa parabh har Dhan sehjay deetaa.
That person loves God, is blessed with true honour and God blesses him with Naam which would enshrine him with spiritual stability.
ਏਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਣ-ਆਸਰਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ।
