ਕਰਹੁ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਕਬਹੁ ਨ ਡਾਰਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
karahu anoograhu su-aamee mayray man tay kabahu na dara-o. ||1|| rahaa-o.
O’ my Master, show mercy and bless me, that I may never forsake You from my mind. ||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ! (ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ) ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ, ਮੈਂ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਮਨ ਤੋਂ (ਤੈਨੂੰ) ਕਦੇ ਭੀ ਨਾਹ ਭੁਲਾਵਾਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸਾਧੂ ਧੂਰਿ ਲਾਈ ਮੁਖਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਬਿਖੁ ਜਾਰਉ ॥
saaDhoo Dhoor laa-ee mukh mastak kaam kroDh bikh jaara-o.
O’ God, bless me, that I may mould my intellect according to the Guru’s teachings and burn off the poison of lust and anger.
ਮੈਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਸਾੜਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ;
ਸਭ ਤੇ ਨੀਚੁ ਆਤਮ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਨਉ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਇਹੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਧਾਰਉ ॥੧॥
sabh tay neech aatam kar maan-o man meh ih sukh Dhaara-o. ||1||
I wish that I may deem myself as the lowliest of all and keep enshrined this comfort of humility in my mind. ||1||
ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਨੀਵਾਂ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ, ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਗਰੀਬੀ ਸੁਭਾਵ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਸੁਖ ਸਦਾ ਟਿਕਾਈ ਰੱਖਾਂ ॥੧॥
ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਹ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਕਲਮਲ ਸਗਲੇ ਝਾਰਉ ॥
gun gaavah thaakur abhinaasee kalmal saglay jhaara-o.
let us sing praises of the eternal Master-God and shake off all our sins.
ਆਓ ਰਲ ਕੇ ਕਾਲ-ਰਹਿਤ ਠਾਕੁਰ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੀਏ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ (ਪਿਛਲੇ) ਪਾਪ (ਮਨ ਤੋਂ) ਝਾੜ ਲਈਏ।
ਨਾਮ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਨੁ ਪਾਵਉ ਕੰਠਿ ਲਾਇ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰਉ ॥੨॥੧੯॥
naam niDhaan naanak daan paava-o kanth laa-ay ur Dhaara-o. ||2||19||
O’ Nanak, pray to God for the treasure of Naam and keep it enshrined in the heart like a necklace around the neck. ||2||19||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਇਹ) ਦਾਨ ਮੰਗ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ-ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਵਾਂ, ਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਗਲ ਨਾਲ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾਈ ਰੱਖਾਂ ॥੨॥੧੯॥

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀਉ ਪੇਖਉ ਦਰਸੁ ਤੁਮਾਰਾ ॥
parabh jee-o paykha-o daras tumaaraa.
O’ reverend God, bless me that I may behold you all the time.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ! (ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ) ਮੈਂ (ਸਦਾ) ਤੇਰਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ।
ਸੁੰਦਰ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਧਾਰੁ ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਨੀ ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਤੇ ਪਿਆਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sundar Dhi-aan Dhaar din rainee jee-a paraan tay pi-aaraa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
I may always focus my mind on Your beautiful divine virtues, You are dearer to me than my life. ||1||Pause||
ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ, ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਬੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਨ ਅਵਿਲੋਕੇ ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਤਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਾ ॥
saastar bayd puraan avilokay simrit tat beechaaraa.
I have studied and contemplated Shastras, Vedas and Puranas and have reflected on the essence of Smritis.
ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਵੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਣ ਵੇਖ ਚੁਕਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਤੱਤ ਭੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਚੁਕਾ ਹਾਂ।
ਦੀਨਾ ਨਾਥ ਪ੍ਰਾਨਪਤਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਭਵਜਲ ਉਧਰਨਹਾਰਾ ॥੧॥
deenaa naath paraanpat pooran bhavjal uDhranhaaraa. ||1||
O’ the Master of the meek, O’ the Master of life and all pervading God, only You can ferry us across the worldly ocean of vices.||1||
ਹੇ ਦੀਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਥ! ਹੇ ਜਿੰਦ ਦੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾਣ ਦੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੧॥
ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਭਗਤ ਜਨ ਸੇਵਕ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਬਿਖੈ ਅਧਾਰਾ ॥
aad jugaad bhagat jan sayvak taa kee bikhai aDhaaraa.
O’ God, since the beginning and through the ages, your devotees have been looking towards You as their support against vices.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ! ਤੇਰੇ ਭਗਤ ਜਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਆਦਿ ਤੋਂ ਜੁਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਦਿ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ-ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਲਈ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਆਸਰਾ ਤੱਕਦੇ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਤਿਨ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਧੂਰਿ ਬਾਛੈ ਨਿਤ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਦੇਵਨਹਾਰਾ ॥੨॥੨੦॥
tin jan kee Dhoor baachhai nit naanak parmaysar dayvanhaaraa. ||2||20||
Nanak always longs for the humble service of such devotees; O’ supreme God, only You are capable of granting this boon. ||2||20||
ਨਾਨਕ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਕ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਦਾਤ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਸਮਰਥਾ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੨॥੨੦॥

ਤੇਰਾ ਜਨੁ ਰਾਮ ਰਸਾਇਣਿ ਮਾਤਾ ॥
tayraa jan raam rasaa-in maataa.
O’ God, Your devotee remains elated with the elixir of your Name.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰਾ ਭਗਤ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਰਸਾਇਣ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰਸਾ ਨਿਧਿ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਉਪਜੀ ਛੋਡਿ ਨ ਕਤਹੂ ਜਾਤਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
paraym rasaa niDh jaa ka-o upjee chhod na kathoo jaataa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
One who receives the treasure of the nectar of Your love, does not renounce it to go somewhere else. ||1||Pause||
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰਸ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਏ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਬੈਠਤ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਸੋਵਤ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਭੋਜਨੁ ਖਾਤਾ ॥
baithat har har sovat har har har ras bhojan khaataa.
He remember God’s Name in every situation, the nectar of God’s Name become his spiritual nourishment.
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਬੈਠਿਆਂ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸੁੱਤਿਆਂ ਭੀ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਖ਼ੁਰਾਕ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਅਠਸਠਿ ਤੀਰਥ ਮਜਨੁ ਕੀਨੋ ਸਾਧੂ ਧੂਰੀ ਨਾਤਾ ॥੧॥
athsath tirath majan keeno saaDhoo Dhooree naataa. ||1||
He performs the humble service of the saints of God as if he is bathing at the sixty-eight sacred shrines of pilgrimage. ||1||
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨ-ਧੂੜ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਮਾਨੋ,) ਉਹ ਅਠਾਹਠ ਤੀਰਥਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਸਫਲੁ ਜਨਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਕਾ ਉਪਜਿਆ ਜਿਨਿ ਕੀਨੋ ਸਉਤੁ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ॥
safal janam har jan kaa upji-aa jin keeno sa-ut biDhaataa.
Fruitful becomes the life of that God’s devotee, who has brought so much glory to God, as if he has made Him the father of a worthy child.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਹੋ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਭਗਤ-ਜਨ ਨੇ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਪੁੱਤ੍ਰਾ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ
ਸਗਲ ਸਮੂਹ ਲੈ ਉਧਰੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਪੂਰਨ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪਛਾਤਾ ॥੨॥੨੧॥
sagal samooh lai uDhray naanak pooran barahm pachhaataa. ||2||21||
O’ Nanak, he realizes the all pervading God and he ferries all his companions across the world-ocean of vices. ||2||21||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਬਣਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੨੧॥

Raag Devgandhari Fifth Guru:
ਮਾਈ ਗੁਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ॥
maa-ee gur bin gi-aan na paa-ee-ai.
O’ mother, without the Guru, spiritual wisdom is not obtained.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਤਾ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਾਝੋਂ ਬ੍ਰਹਿਮ-ਬੋਧ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ।
ਅਨਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਫਿਰਤ ਬਿਲਲਾਤੇ ਮਿਲਤ ਨਹੀ ਗੋਸਾਈਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
anik parkaar firat billaatay milat nahee gosaa-ee-ai. ||1|| rahaa-o.
People wander around wailing and trying all kinds of different rituals, but they are unable to realize God. ||1||Pause||
ਹੋਰ ਹੋਰ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਦਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਭਟਕਦੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਮੋਹ ਰੋਗ ਸੋਗ ਤਨੁ ਬਾਧਿਓ ਬਹੁ ਜੋਨੀ ਭਰਮਾਈਐ ॥
moh rog sog tan baaDhi-o baho jonee bharmaa-ee-ai.
The body remains tied up with emotional attachment, ailments and sorrow and keep wandering through many incarnations.
ਸਰੀਰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਰੋਗਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਗ਼ਮਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਕੜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜੂਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਭਟਕਦੇ ਫਿਰੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਟਿਕਨੁ ਨ ਪਾਵੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਕਿਸੁ ਆਗੈ ਜਾਇ ਰੂਆਈਐ ॥੧॥
tikan na paavai bin satsangat kis aagai jaa-ay roo-aa-ee-ai. ||1||
Without joining the company of saintly persons, one cannot find peace; to whom may one go and share his misery. ||1||
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ (ਦੀ ਸਰਨ) ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ (ਜੂਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਤੋਂ) ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਸਕੀਦਾ। (ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ) ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਪਾਸ (ਇਸ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਨਵਿਰਤੀ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਫਰਿਆਦ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ॥੧॥
ਕਰੈ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਾਧ ਚਰਨ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਈਐ ॥
karai anoograhu su-aamee mayraa saaDh charan chit laa-ee-ai.
When my Master bestows mercy, only then we can attune our mind to the Guru’s immaculate words.
ਜਦੋਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਚਿੱਤ ਜੋੜ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸੰਕਟ ਘੋਰ ਕਟੇ ਖਿਨ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸਿ ਸਮਾਈਐ ॥੨॥੨੨॥
sankat ghor katay khin bheetar naanak har daras samaa-ee-ai. ||2||22||
O’ Nanak, when we experience the blessed vision of God, the most horrible agonies are dispelled in an instant. ||2||22||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋਣ ਨਾਲ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਦੁੱਖ ਇਕ ਛਿਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੱਟੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥੨੨॥

ਠਾਕੁਰ ਹੋਏ ਆਪਿ ਦਇਆਲ ॥
thaakur ho-ay aap da-i-aal.
When the Master-God Himself became merciful on His devotees,
ਜਦੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਉੱਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਭਈ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਅਨੰਦ ਰੂਪ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਉਬਰੇ ਬਾਲ ਗੁਪਾਲ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
bha-ee kali-aan anand roop ho-ee hai ubray baal gupaal. rahaa-o.
then tranquility and bliss wells up within and God’s children are saved from drowning in the world ocean of vices. ||Pause||
ਤਾਂ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪੂਰਨ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਆਨੰਦ-ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੇ ਪਾਲਣਹਾਰ-ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਪੱਲਾ ਫੜਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੱਚੇ (ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਡੁੱਬਣੋਂ) ਬਚ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਦੁਇ ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ ਕਰੀ ਬੇਨੰਤੀ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਮਨਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
du-ay kar jorh karee baynantee paarbarahm man Dhi-aa-i-aa.
Those who prayed before God with folded hands and lovingly remembered God in their mind,
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਹੱਥ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਅੱਗੇ ਅਰਜ਼ੋਈ ਕੀਤੀ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਰਾਧਿਆ,
ਹਾਥੁ ਦੇਇ ਰਾਖੇ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰਿ ਸਗਲਾ ਦੁਰਤੁ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
haath day-ay raakhay parmaysur saglaa durat mitaa-i-aa. ||1||
God forgave their past sins extending His support and saved them from drowning in the worldly ocean of vices. ||1||
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਡੁੱਬਣੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲਿਆ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਛਲਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਪਾਪ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੧॥
ਵਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਮਿਲਿ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਗਾਇਆ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕਾ ਜੈਕਾਰੁ ॥
var naaree mil mangal gaa-i-aa thaakur kaa jaikaar.
All men and women joined together and started singing the songs of God’s praises.
ਮਰਦਾਂ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈਐ ਜੋ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਰੇ ਉਧਾਰੁ ॥੨॥੨੩॥
kaho naanak jan ka-o bal jaa-ee-ai jo sabhnaa karay uDhaar. ||2||23||
Nanak says, we should dedicate our life to that Guru, the devotee of God who emancipates everyone .||2||23||
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਉਸ ਭਗਤ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੇਹੜਾ ਹੋਰ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਭੀ ਪਾਰ-ਉਤਾਰਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੨੩॥
