ਜਾ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮੇਲੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਵਚਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਇਆ ॥
jaa har parabh bhaavai taa gurmukh maylay jinH vachan guroo satgur man bhaa-i-aa.
When it pleases God, He causes the Guru’s followers to meet, whom the Guru’s word are very pleasing in their minds.
ਜਦੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਦੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਕਰਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਸਿਖ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਰਬਾਣੀ ਨਿਰਬਾਣ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੨॥
vadbhaagee gur kay sikh pi-aaray har nirbaanee nirbaan pad paa-i-aa. ||2||
Those dear disciples of the Guru are very fortunate who attain the supreme spiritual status through immaculate God. ||2||
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਉਹ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ਜੇਹੜੇ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਸ਼ਨਾ-ਰਹਿਤ ਆਤਮਕ ਦਰਜਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਹਰਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੀਠਾ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਇਆ ॥
satsangat gur kee har pi-aaree jin har har naam meethaa man bhaa-i-aa.
The congregation of the Guru’s saints is pleasing to God; the sweet Name of God is pleasing to the minds of the Guru’s saints.
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੱਚੀ ਸੰਗਤ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਲਾਡਲੀ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਚਿੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮਿੱਠੜਾ ਤੇ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਸੰਗੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਪਾਪੀ ਜਮਿ ਖਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
jin satgur sangat sang na paa-i-aa say bhaagheen paapee jam khaa-i-aa. ||3||
Those people who don’t join the holy congregation of the true Gure, are very unfortunate sinners and are spiritually dead. ||3||
ਪਰ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦਾ ਸਾਥ ਪਸੰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ, ਉਹ ਬਦ-ਕਿਸਮਤ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਪਾਪੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਨੇ ਸਮੂਲਚਾ ਖਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਆਪਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਧਾਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ॥
aap kirpaal kirpaa parabh Dhaaray har aapay gurmukh milai milaa-i-aa.
When the merciful God shows kindness, then He causes the Guru’s follower to merge into Himself.
ਜਦੋਂ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਕਿਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਬੋਲੇ ਗੁਣ ਬਾਣੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੫॥
jan naanak bolay gun banee gurbaanee har naam samaa-i-aa. ||4||5||
One merges with God’s Name by uttering the divine words of God’s praises; therefore, devotee Nanak also chants the divine words of God’s praises. ||4||5||
ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਭੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਹੀ (ਨਿੱਤ) ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੫॥

Raag Goojree, Fourth Guru:
ਜਿਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਕਰਿ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਮੀਠ ਲਗਾਵੈ ॥
jin satgur purakh jin har parabh paa-i-aa mo ka-o kar updays har meeth lagaavai.
I yearn that someone, who has realized God through the true Guru, may instruct me and imbue me with God’s love through his teachings.
ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਲੋਚਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਸੱਜਣ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਵੇ।
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਸਭ ਹਰਿਆ ਹੋਆ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵੈ ॥੧॥
man tan seetal sabh hari-aa ho-aa vadbhaagee har naam Dhi-aavai. ||1||
The fortunate person who meditates on God’s Name, his mind and heart becomes calm and his spiritual life rejuvenates completely. ||1||
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਠੰਢਾ-ਠਾਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਰਸ਼ਾਰ (ਭਰਪੂਰ) ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਭਾਈ ਰੇ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਕੋਈ ਆਇ ਮਿਲੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਵੈ ॥
bhaa-ee ray mo ka-o ko-ee aa-ay milai har naam darirh-aavai.
O’ my brother, let someone, who can implant God’s Name in me, may come and meet with me.
ਹੇ ਭਰਾ! ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਲੋਚਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਅਜੇਹਾ ਸੱਜਣ ਆ ਕੇ ਮਿਲੇ ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪੱਕਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇ।
ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸਭੁ ਦੇਵਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਨਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
mayray pareetam paraan man tan sabh dayvaa mayray har parabh kee har kathaa sunaavai. ||1|| rahaa-o.
I would surrender my life, heart, mind, and everything to that beloved person, who recites to me the divine words of God’s praises. ||1||Pause||
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣਾਂਦਾ ਰਹੇ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਸੱਜਣ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨ ਆਪਣਾ ਤਨ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਦੇ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਧੀਰਜੁ ਧਰਮੁ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਿਤ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਵੈ ॥
Dheeraj Dharam gurmat har paa-i-aa nit har naamai har si-o chit laavai.
He, who follow the Guru’s teachings and daily attunes his mind to God’s Name, attains patience, righteousness, and realizes God.
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਚਿੱਤ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਧੀਰਜ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਧਰਮ ਕਮਾਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਚਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਜੋ ਬੋਲੈ ਸੋ ਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੨॥
amrit bachan satgur kee banee jo bolai so mukh amrit paavai. ||2||
The Guru’s divine words are the ambrosial words; he, who utters these, puts the spiritual life rejuvenating nectar of Naam in his mouth. ||2||
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਚਨ ਹਨ, ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਹ ਬਾਣੀ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਜਲ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਿਤੁ ਮੈਲੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੈ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਵੈ ॥
nirmal naam jit mail na laagai gurmat naam japai liv laavai.
Naam is so immaculate that the mind is not afflicted by the filth of vices by attuning to it; He, who meditates on Naam through the Guru’s teachings, attunes himself to God.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆਂ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦੀ। ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਜਿਨ ਨਰ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਮੁਏ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਵੈ ॥੩॥
naam padaarath jin nar nahee paa-i-aa say bhaagheen mu-ay mar jaavai. ||3||
Those, who haven’t attained the wealth of Naam, are unfortunate and are spiritually dead. ||3||
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਨਾਮ ਹਾਸਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ, ਉਹ ਮੰਦ-ਭਾਗੀ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਸਹੇੜ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
ਆਨਦ ਮੂਲੁ ਜਗਜੀਵਨ ਦਾਤਾ ਸਭ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਅਨਦੁ ਕਰਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਵੈ ॥
aanad mool jagjeevan daataa sabh jan ka-o anad karahu har Dhi-aavai.
O’ God, the life of the world, You are the source of all bliss; You bless celestial peace to all those who meditate upon You.
ਹੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਆਨੰਦ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਜੇਹੜਾ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਆਨੰਦ ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਤੂੰ ਦਾਤਾ ਜੀਅ ਸਭਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬਖਸਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ॥੪॥੬॥
tooN daataa jee-a sabh tayray jan naanak gurmukh bakhas milaavai. ||4||6||
O’ God,You are the Great Giver, all beings belong to You. O’ Nanak, showing grace, He unites His devotees with Himself through the Guru. ||4||6||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਤੂੰ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਾ ਕੇ (ਵਡ-ਭਾਗੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ) ਆਪਣੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੬॥

One eternal God, realized by the grace of the true Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।

Raag Goojaree, Fourth Guru, third beat:
ਮਾਈ ਬਾਪ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਸਭਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਕੀਏ ॥
maa-ee baap putar sabh har kay kee-ay.
Our mother, father, and son (children) are all created by God,
ਮਾਂ, ਪਿਉ, ਪੁੱਤਰ-ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ,
ਸਭਨਾ ਕਉ ਸਨਬੰਧੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਦੀਏ ॥੧॥
sabhnaa ka-o san-banDh har kar dee-ay. ||1||
and it is God who arranged the relationships between all of them. ||1||
ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਆਪੋ ਵਿਚ ਦਾ ਰਿਸ਼ਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਹਮਰਾ ਜੋਰੁ ਸਭੁ ਰਹਿਓ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੀਰ ॥
hamraa jor sabh rahi-o mayray beer.
O’ my brothers, all our strength is nothing in comparison to God’s power.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੀਰ! (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਟਾਕਰੇ ਤੇ) ਸਾਡਾ ਕੋਈ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਚੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਸਭੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਵਸਿ ਹੈ ਸਰੀਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har kaa tan man sabh har kai vas hai sareer. ||1|| rahaa-o.
The mind and heart belong to God and the human body is entirely under His control. ||1||Pause||
ਸਾਡਾ ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਸਾਡਾ ਇਹ ਮਨ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਸਾਡਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾ ਕਉ ਸਰਧਾ ਆਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਈ ॥
bhagat janaa ka-o sarDhaa aap har laa-ee.
God Himself infuses devotion into His humble devotees.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਵਿਚੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਸਤ ਉਦਾਸ ਰਹਾਈ ॥੨॥
vichay garisat udaas rahaa-ee. ||2||
In the midst of family life, they remain unattached to worldly attractions. ||2||
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਤ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ (ਮਾਂ ਪਿਉ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਆਦਿਕ ਸਨਬੰਧੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ) ਮਾਇਆ ਵਿਚ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਜਬ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਬਨਿ ਆਈ ॥
jab antar pareet har si-o ban aa-ee.
When within one’s mind develops love for God,
ਜਦੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਤਬ ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਈ ॥੩॥
tab jo kichh karay so mayray har parabh bhaa-ee. ||3||
then whatever one does, is pleasing to my God. ||3||.
ਤਦੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਰਜ਼ਾ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ) ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਜਿਤੁ ਕਾਰੈ ਕੰਮਿ ਹਮ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਏ ॥
jit kaarai kamm ham har laa-ay.
I do those deeds and tasks which God has set me to do;
ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਕਾਰਜ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰ ਵਿਚ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮੈਂਨੂੰ ਲਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਸੋ ਹਮ ਕਰਹ ਜੁ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਾਏ ॥੪॥
so ham karah jo aap karaa-ay. ||4||
I do that which He makes me to do. ||4||.
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਕੰਮ-ਕਾਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਕਰਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹੀ ਕੰਮ-ਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੪॥
ਜਿਨ ਕੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਈ ॥
jin kee bhagat mayray parabh bhaa-ee.
Those whose devotional worship is pleasing to my God,
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਸੰਦ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
ਤੇ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੫॥੧॥੭॥੧੬॥
tay jan naanak raam naam liv laa-ee. ||5||1||7||16||
O’ Nanak, those devotees attune their mind to God’s Name. ||5||1||7||16||.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਬਿਰਤੀ ਜੋੜ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੫॥੧॥੭॥੧੬॥
