ਸੋ ਛੂਟੈ ਮਹਾ ਜਾਲ ਤੇ ਜਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੁ ਨਿਰੰਤਰਿ ॥੨॥
so chhootai mahaa jaal tay jis gur sabad nirantar. ||2||
One within whom the Guru’s word constantly remains enshrined is released from the strongest trap of Maya. ||2||
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸਬਦ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹੇ ਉਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਜਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਕਿਆ ਕਹਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਬਿਬੇਕ ਸਤ ਸਰੁ ॥
gur kee mahimaa ki-aa kahaa gur bibayk sat sar.
How may I describe the Guru’s greatness? he is the ocean of Truth and wisdom.
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਮੈਂ ਕੀ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਰਾਂ? ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ-ਗਿਆਤ ਅਤੇ ਸਚਾਈ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਹਨ।
ਓਹੁ ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦੀ ਜੁਗਹ ਜੁਗੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ॥੩॥
oh aad jugaadee jugah jug pooraa parmaysar. ||3||
The Guru is the embodiment of the perfect God, who is present from the very beginning and throughout the ages. ||3||
ਗੁਰੂ ਉਹ ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ (ਦਾ ਰੂਪ) ਹੈ ਜੇਹੜਾ ਸਭ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਢ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਜੁਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਦਿ ਤੋਂ ਹੈ ਜੇਹੜਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਜੁਗ ਵਿਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵਹੁ ਸਦ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮਨੁ ਰੰਗੇ ॥
naam Dhi-aavahu sad sadaa har har man rangay.
With your mind imbued in the love of God, always meditate on Naam.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਰਹੋ, ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੀ ਰੱਖੋ।
ਜੀਉ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਧਨੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਹੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੈ ਸੰਗੇ ॥੪॥੨॥੧੦੪॥
jee-o paraan Dhan guroo hai naanak kai sangay. ||4||2||104||
O’ Nanak, the Guru is my soul, my breath of life, and spiritual wealth; Guru is always with me. ||4||2||104||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ, ਗੁਰੂ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਹੈ ਗੁਰੂ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਧਨ ਹੈ ; ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ॥੪॥੨॥੧੦੪॥

Raag Aasaa, Fifth Guru:
ਸਾਈ ਅਲਖੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ਭੋਰੀ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ॥
saa-ee alakh apaar bhoree man vasai.
When I realize the the presence of incomprehensible and infinite God in my heart even for a moment,
ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਅਲੱਖ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਰਤਾ ਕੁ ਸਮੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਭੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਦੂਖੁ ਦਰਦੁ ਰੋਗੁ ਮਾਇ ਮੈਡਾ ਹਭੁ ਨਸੈ ॥੧॥
dookh darad rog maa-ay maidaa habh nasai. ||1||
then all my pains, sorrows and ailments disappear, O’ my mother. ||1||
ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਮੇਰਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਦੁੱਖ-ਦਰਦ ਮੇਰਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਰੋਗ ਸਭ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਹਉ ਵੰਞਾ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੁ ਸਾਈ ਆਪਣੇ ॥
ha-o vanjaa kurbaan saa-ee aapnay.
I dedicate myself to my Master-God.
ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹਾਂ।
ਹੋਵੈ ਅਨਦੁ ਘਣਾ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਜਾਪਣੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
hovai anad ghanaa man tan jaapnay. ||1|| rahaa-o.
By meditating on Him, great bliss wells up in my heart and body. ||1||Pause||
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਬਿੰਦਕ ਗਾਲ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਸੁਣੀ ਸਚੇ ਤਿਸੁ ਧਣੀ ॥
bindak gaaleh sunee sachay tis Dhanee.
Even when I hear a little bit about the praises of that eternal Master-God,
ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਮੈਂ ਥੋੜੀ ਜਿਤਨੀ ਹੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਸੁਣਦੀ ਹਾਂ,
ਸੂਖੀ ਹੂੰ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇ ਮਾਇ ਨ ਕੀਮ ਗਣੀ ॥੨॥
sookhee hooN sukh paa-ay maa-ay na keem ganee. ||2||
I enjoy such peace that I cannot estimate its worth, O’ my mother. ||2||
ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਇਤਨਾ ਉੱਚਾ ਸੁਖ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕਰਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੱਸ ਸਕਦੀ ॥੨॥
ਨੈਣ ਪਸੰਦੋ ਸੋਇ ਪੇਖਿ ਮੁਸਤਾਕ ਭਈ ॥
nain pasando so-ay paykh mustaak bha-ee.
He is so pleasing to my eyes; beholding Him, I am fascinated.
ਮੇਰਾ ਉਹ ਸਾਈਂ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਮਸਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹਾਂ।
ਮੈ ਨਿਰਗੁਣਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਇ ਆਪਿ ਲੜਿ ਲਾਇ ਲਈ ॥੩॥
mai nirgun mayree maa-ay aap larh laa-ay la-ee. ||3||
O’ my mother, I am without any virtues but on His own, He has taken me into His union. ||3||
ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਗੁਣ ਨਹੀਂ, ਫਿਰ ਭੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੜ ਲਾ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਬੇਦ ਕਤੇਬ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਹਭਾ ਹੂੰ ਬਾਹਰਾ ॥
bayd katayb sansaar habhaa hooN baahraa.
He is pervading beyond the visible world, the Vedas, the Koran and all other scriptures cannot describe Him either.
ਉਹ ਇਸ ਦਿੱਸਦੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਭੀ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਹੈ, ਵੇਦ ਕਤੇਬ ਆਦਿਕ ਕੋਈ ਧਰਮ-ਪੁਸਤਕ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਾ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੁ ਦਿਸੈ ਜਾਹਰਾ ॥੪॥੩॥੧੦੫॥
naanak kaa paatisaahu disai jaahraa. ||4||3||105||
The sovereign God of Nanak is seen manifest everywhere. ||4||3||105||

Raag Aasaa, Fifth Guru:
ਲਾਖ ਭਗਤ ਆਰਾਧਹਿ ਜਪਤੇ ਪੀਉ ਪੀਉ ॥
laakh bhagat aaraaDheh japtay pee-o pee-o.
O’ God, myriad of devotees meditate upon You and call You their Beloved again and again.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੇ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਹੀ ਭਗਤ ਤੈਨੂੰ ‘ਪਿਆਰਾ, ਪਿਆਰਾ’ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇਰੀ ਅਰਾਧਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਕਵਨ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਮੇਲਾਵਉ ਨਿਰਗੁਣ ਬਿਖਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
kavan jugat maylaava-o nirgun bikh-ee jee-o. ||1||
I am unvirtuous and evil person, how can I realize You? ||1||
ਮੈਂ ਗੁਣ-ਹੀਣ ਵਿਕਾਰੀ ਜੀਵ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਸ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਂ? ॥੧॥
ਤੇਰੀ ਟੇਕ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਗੁਪਾਲ ਦਇਆਲ ਪ੍ਰਭ ॥
tayree tayk govind gupaal da-i-aal parabh.
O’ sustainer of the Universe, O’ merciful God, I depend only on Your support.
ਹੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ! ਹੇ ਗੁਪਾਲ! ਹੇ ਦਇਆਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ।
ਤੂੰ ਸਭਨਾ ਕੇ ਨਾਥ ਤੇਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਸਭ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
tooN sabhnaa kay naath tayree sarisat sabh. ||1|| rahaa-o.
You are the Master of all and the entire universe belongs to You. ||1||Pause||
ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਖਸਮ ਹੈਂ, ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਹੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸਦਾ ਸਹਾਈ ਸੰਤ ਪੇਖਹਿ ਸਦਾ ਹਜੂਰਿ ॥
sadaa sahaa-ee sant paykheh sadaa hajoor.
You always are the supporter of Your saints; who always see You in their presence.
ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੰਤ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਨਾਮ ਬਿਹੂਨੜਿਆ ਸੇ ਮਰਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਵਿਸੂਰਿ ਵਿਸੂਰਿ ॥੨॥
naam bihoonrhi-aa say marniH visoor visoor. ||2||
Those who lack Naam, engulfed in sorrow, remain spiritually dead ||2||
ਪਰ ਜੇਹੜੇ (ਭਾਗ-ਹੀਣ ਤੇਰੇ) ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਂਜੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਉਹ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ) ਝੁਰ ਝੁਰ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਸਹੇੜੀ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
ਦਾਸ ਦਾਸਤਣ ਭਾਇ ਮਿਟਿਆ ਤਿਨਾ ਗਉਣੁ ॥
daas daastan bhaa-ay miti-aa tinaa ga-on.
O’ God, those who are so humble that they consider themselves as the servants of Your servants, are freed from the rounds of birth and death.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਾਸ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਭਾਵ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਗੇੜ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਵਿਸਰਿਆ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਤਿਨਾੜਾ ਹਾਲੁ ਕਉਣੁ ॥੩॥
visri-aa jinHaa naam tinaarhaa haal ka-un. ||3||
What shall be the fate of those who forget Naam? ||3||
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਹੋਉਗੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਭੁੱਲਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਜੈਸੇ ਪਸੁ ਹਰ੍ਹ੍ਹਿਆਉ ਤੈਸਾ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਸਭ ॥
jaisay pasu hariH-aa-o taisaa sansaar sabh.
just as cattle runs amuck upon seeing green grass, similarly the entire world is running after Maya.
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਖੁਲ੍ਹਾ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਹਰੀਆਂ ਖੇਤੀਆਂ ਚੁਗਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਕੋਈ ਪਸ਼ੂ (ਅਵਾਰਾ ਭੌਂਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ) ਹੈ ਤਿਵੇਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਭਟਕ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ)।
ਨਾਨਕ ਬੰਧਨ ਕਾਟਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਹੁ ਆਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ॥੪॥੪॥੧੦੬॥
naanak banDhan kaat milaavhu aap parabh. ||4||4||106||
Nanak prays, O’ God, please cut my worldly bonds of Maya, and unite me with Yourself. ||4||4||106||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ) ਬੰਧਨ ਕੱਟ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖ ॥੪॥੪॥੧੦੬॥

ਹਭੇ ਥੋਕ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ਹਿਕੋ ਖਿਆਲੁ ਕਰਿ ॥
habhay thok visaar hiko khi-aal kar.
O’ brother, forsake the desire for all worldly things and focus your mind only upon God.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਾਰੇ (ਸੰਸਾਰਕ) ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ (ਦਾ ਮੋਹ) ਭੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰ।
ਝੂਠਾ ਲਾਹਿ ਗੁਮਾਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਅਰਪਿ ਧਰਿ ॥੧॥
jhoothaa laahi gumaan man tan arap Dhar. ||1||
Shake off all your false pride and surrender your mind and heart before God. |1|
ਝੂਠਾ ਮਾਣ (ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦੇ, ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਭੇਟਾ ਕਰ ਦੇ ॥੧॥
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਸਾਲਾਹਿ ਸਿਰਜਨਹਾਰ ਤੂੰ ॥
aath pahar salahe sirjanhaar tooN.
By singing the praises of the Creator all the time,
ਦਿਨ ਦੇ ਅੱਠੇ ਪਹਿਰ ਹੀ ਤੂੰ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ ਸਲਾਹ ਕਰ,
ਜੀਵਾਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਹੁ ਮੂੰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jeevaaN tayree daat kirpaa karahu mooN. ||1|| rahaa-o.
I spiritually remain alive; O’ God, have mercy and bestow the gift of Naam on me. ||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸੋਈ ਕੰਮੁ ਕਮਾਇ ਜਿਤੁ ਮੁਖੁ ਉਜਲਾ ॥
so-ee kamm kamaa-ay jit mukh ujlaa.
O’ brother, do only those deeds which bring you honor both here and hereafter.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਹੀ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰ ਜਿਸ ਕੰਮ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਲੋਕ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਤੇਰਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਰੋਸ਼ਨ ਰਹੇ।
ਸੋਈ ਲਗੈ ਸਚਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਤੂੰ ਦੇਹਿ ਅਲਾ ॥੨॥
so-ee lagai sach jis tooN deh alaa. ||2||
O’ God, whom You bless with the gift of Naam, he alone attunes to it. ||2||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੇ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੁੜਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਇਹ ਦਾਤਿ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੨॥
ਜੋ ਨ ਢਹੰਦੋ ਮੂਲਿ ਸੋ ਘਰੁ ਰਾਸਿ ਕਰਿ ॥
jo na dhahando mool so ghar raas kar.
With meditation on Naam adorn your heart in such a way that it never goes in low spirit.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਉਸਾਰੀ ਵਾਲੇ) ਉਸ (ਹਿਰਦੇ- ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਬਣਾ ਜੋ ਫਿਰ ਕਦੇ ਭੀ ਢਹਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਹਿਕੋ ਚਿਤਿ ਵਸਾਇ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਜਾਇ ਮਰਿ ॥੩॥
hiko chit vasaa-ay kaday na jaa-ay mar. ||3||
Enshrine within your consciousness the One (God) who never die. ||3||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਈ ਰੱਖ ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਕਦੇ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਰਦਾ ॥੩॥
ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਰਾਮੁ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਣਿਆ ॥
tinHaa pi-aaraa raam jo parabh bhaani-aa.
God is dear to those, who are pleasing to the will of God.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੇ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਅਕਥੁ ਨਾਨਕਿ ਵਖਾਣਿਆ ॥੪॥੫॥੧੦੭॥
gur parsaad akath naanak vakhaani-aa. ||4||5||107||
By Guru’s grace, Nanak has described the indescribable God. ||4||5||107||
ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨਾਂ-ਬਿਆਨ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਆਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੫॥੧੦੭॥

Raag Aasaa, Fifth Guru:
ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ਨ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੇ ਕਿਨੇਹਿਆ ॥
jinHaa na visrai naam say kinayhi-aa.
What are they like, who never forget Naam?
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਕਿਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਭੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੁੱਲਦਾ ?
ਭੇਦੁ ਨ ਜਾਣਹੁ ਮੂਲਿ ਸਾਂਈ ਜੇਹਿਆ ॥੧॥
bhayd na jaanhu mool saaN-ee jayhi-aa. ||1||
Know that there is absolutely no difference; they are exactly like God. ||1||
(ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਤੇ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ) ਰਤਾ ਭੀ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਨਾਹ ਸਮਝੋ, ਉਹ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਹਾਲੁ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ ਸੰਗਿ ਭੇਟਿਆ ॥
man tan ho-ay nihaal tumH sang bhayti-aa.
O’ God, the mind and body of those who have realized You, remain delighted.
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੀਤੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਨ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਸਭੁ ਮੇਟਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sukh paa-i-aa jan parsaad dukh sabh mayti-aa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
by the grace of the Guru, they have received this bliss and have rid themselves of all their misery. ||1||Pause||
ਉਹਨਾਂ (ਤੇਰੇ) ਸੇਵਕ (-ਗੁਰੂ) ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਮਿਟਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਜੇਤੇ ਖੰਡ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡ ਉਧਾਰੇ ਤਿੰਨ੍ਹ੍ ਖੇ ॥
jaytay khand barahmand uDhaaray tinH khay.
They have become capable of saving all the continents of the world,
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਖੰਡਾਂ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ (ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲੈਣ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ ਮਨਿ ਵੁਠਾ ਆਪਿ ਪੂਰੇ ਭਗਤ ਸੇ ॥੨॥
jinH man vuthaa aap pooray bhagat say. ||2||
Only those who have realized God in their heart are the perfect devotees.||2||
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਭਗਤ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
