Raag Gauree, Fifth Guru:
ਜੋਗ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਸੁਨਿ ਆਇਓ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ॥
jog jugat sun aa-i-o gur tay.
I have learnt from the Guru the right way of union with God.
ਮੈਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਅਸਲ ਜੋਗ ਦਾ ਤਰੀਕਾ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ।
ਮੋ ਕਉ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਬੁਝਾਇਓ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
mo ka-o satgur sabad bujhaa-i-o. ||1|| rahaa-o.
The Guru’s word has made me understand it.||1||Pause||
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨੇ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੀ ਜਾਚ) ਸਮਝਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਨਉ ਖੰਡ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮੀ ਇਸੁ ਤਨ ਮਹਿ ਰਵਿਆ ਨਿਮਖ ਨਿਮਖ ਨਮਸਕਾਰਾ ॥
na-o khand parithmee is tan meh ravi-aa nimakh nimakh namaskaaraa.
At every moment I pay homage to God who pervades the human body and all the nine regions of the world.
ਮੈਂ ਪਲ ਪਲ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜੋ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਿਆਂ ਨੌਵਾਂ ਹੀ ਖਿੱਤਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੇਹਿ ਅੰਦਰ ਰਮਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਦੀਖਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਮੁੰਦ੍ਰਾ ਕਾਨੀ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਿਓ ਏਕੁ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰਾ ॥੧॥
deekhi-aa gur kee mundraa kaanee darirhi-o ayk nirankaaraa. ||1||
I have accepted the Guru’s teachings as my earrings and have enshrined the Formless God in my heart. ||1||
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਦੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੁੰਦਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਟਿਕਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਪੰਚ ਚੇਲੇ ਮਿਲਿ ਭਏ ਇਕਤ੍ਰਾ ਏਕਸੁ ਕੈ ਵਸਿ ਕੀਏ ॥
panch chaylay mil bha-ay iktaraa aykas kai vas kee-ay.
The five vices (lust, anger, ego and greed etc) have joined together like five disciples, and I have brought them under control of the conscious mind.
ਪੰਜਾਂ ਮੁਰੀਦਾ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ) ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ, ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਜ਼ਮੀਰ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਦਸ ਬੈਰਾਗਨਿ ਆਗਿਆਕਾਰੀ ਤਬ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਜੋਗੀ ਥੀਏ ॥੨॥
das bairaagan aagi-aakaaree tab nirmal jogee thee-ay. ||2||
Since the ten faculties of the body have started to obey the command of my conscious mind, I have become an immaculate yogi. ||2||
ਜਦ ਪੰਜ ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜ ਕਰਮ ਇੰਦ੍ਰੀਆਂ, ਦਸ ਇਕਾਂਤਣਾ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਫਰਮ ਬਰਦਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ, ਤਦ, ਮੈਂ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਯੋਗੀ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ। ॥੨॥
ਭਰਮੁ ਜਰਾਇ ਚਰਾਈ ਬਿਭੂਤਾ ਪੰਥੁ ਏਕੁ ਕਰਿ ਪੇਖਿਆ ॥
bharam jaraa-ay charaa-ee bibhootaa panth ayk kar paykhi-aa.
I have burnt my doubt and smeared my body with these ashes. Now my path is to see God everywhere.
ਮਨ ਦੀ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜ ਕੇ (ਇਹ) ਸੁਆਹ ਮੈਂ (ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿੰਡੇ ਉਤੇ) ਮਲ ਲਈ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ-ਇਹ ਹੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਜੋਗ-ਪੰਥ।
ਸਹਜ ਸੂਖ ਸੋ ਕੀਨੀ ਭੁਗਤਾ ਜੋ ਠਾਕੁਰਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਲੇਖਿਆ ॥੩॥
sahj sookh so keenee bhugtaa jo thaakur mastak laykhi-aa. ||3||
I have considered the tranquility which God wrote in my destiny as my daily spiritual food. ||3||
ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਨੂੰ (ਆਪਣੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਖ਼ੁਰਾਕ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਜੋਗੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਭੰਡਾਰੇ ਵਾਲਾ) ਚੂਰਮਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਠਾਕੁਰ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ ਲਿਖ ਦਿੱਤੀ ॥੩॥
ਜਹ ਭਉ ਨਾਹੀ ਤਹਾ ਆਸਨੁ ਬਾਧਿਓ ਸਿੰਗੀ ਅਨਹਤ ਬਾਨੀ ॥
jah bha-o naahee tahaa aasan baaDhi-o singee anhat baanee.
I am singing the praises of God continuously like playing the yogi’s horn. As a result, I have established myself in a spiritual state where there is no fear.
ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਸਿੰਙੀ ਵਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ (ਇਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਸਣ ਜਮਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਥੇ (ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਾਲਾ) ਕੋਈ ਡਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਤਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ਡੰਡਾ ਕਰਿ ਰਾਖਿਓ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਨੀ ॥੪॥
tat beechaar dandaa kar raakhi-o jugat naam man bhaanee. ||4||
Reflecting on the virtues of God is my staff and this meditation on Naam is pleasing to my mind.||4||
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਚਾਰਦੇ ਰਹਿਣਾ-ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਸੋਟਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਣ ਦੀ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਚੰਗੀ ਲੱਗ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ॥੪॥
ਐਸਾ ਜੋਗੀ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਭੇਟੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਕੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਕਾਟੈ ॥
aisaa jogee vadbhaagee bhaytai maa-i-aa kay banDhan kaatai.
By great good fortune, such a Yogi is met who cuts away the bonds of Maya.
ਬਹੁਤ ਚੰਗੇ ਨਸੀਬਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਯੋਗੀ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀਆਂ ਬੇੜੀਆਂ ਕਟ ਦੇਵੇ।
ਸੇਵਾ ਪੂਜ ਕਰਉ ਤਿਸੁ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਕੀ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਪਗ ਚਾਟੈ ॥੫॥੧੧॥੧੩੨॥
sayvaa pooj kara-o tis moorat kee naanak tis pag chaatai. ||5||11||132||
Nanak worships and adores such an immaculate devotee (by meditating on Almighty). ||5||11||132||
ਨਾਨਕ ਇਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਅਤੇ ਉਪਾਸ਼ਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੈਰ ਪਰਸਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੫॥੧੧॥੧੩੨॥

ਅਨੂਪ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਸਗਲ ਧਿਆਇਲੇ ਮੀਤਾ ॥
anoop padaarath naam sunhu sagal Dhi-aa-ilay meetaa.
O’ my friends, listen! Naam is an incomparably beautiful treasure. So, let us all lovingly meditate on it.
ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰੋ! ਸੁਣੋ, ਨਾਮ ਇਕ ਐਸਾ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਰਗਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ। ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ, ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰੋ! ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰੋ।
ਹਰਿ ਅਉਖਧੁ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਆ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਚੀਤਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har a-ukhaDh jaa ka-o gur dee-aa taa kay nirmal cheetaa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
One becomes pure when blessed by the Guru with the panacea of Naam. ||1||Pause||
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਦਾਰੂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ (ਹਰ ਮੈਲ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਫ਼ ਹੋ ਗਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਅੰਧਕਾਰੁ ਮਿਟਿਓ ਤਿਹ ਤਨ ਤੇ ਗੁਰਿ ਸਬਦਿ ਦੀਪਕੁ ਪਰਗਾਸਾ ॥
anDhkaar miti-o tih tan tay gur sabad deepak pargaasaa.
Darkness of ignorance is dispelled from the heart when illuminated by the Guru’s divine word.
ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਗਿਆਨ ਦਾ ਦੀਵਾ ਜਗਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦਾ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
ਭ੍ਰਮ ਕੀ ਜਾਲੀ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਕਾਟੀ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਬਿਸ੍ਵਾਸਾ ॥੧॥
bharam kee jaalee taa kee kaatee jaa ka-o saaDhsangat bisvaasaa. ||1||
One who has developed total faith in the congregation of saintly persons, his illusionary web of Maya is cut off by the Guru. ||1||
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਸਰਧਾ ਬਣ ਗਈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਦਾ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਦਾ ਜਾਲ ਕੱਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੧॥
ਤਾਰੀਲੇ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਤਾਰੂ ਬਿਖੜਾ ਬੋਹਿਥ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਾ ॥
taareelay bhavjal taaroo bikh-rhaa bohith saaDhoo sangaa.
The company of saints is like a ship. One who joins it, crosses over the dreadful worldly ocean.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ-ਰੂਪ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲਿਆ, ਉਹ ਇਸ ਅਥਾਹ ਤੇ ਔਖੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਗਿਆ।
ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਈ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਆਸਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਾ ॥੨॥
pooran ho-ee man kee aasaa gur bhayti-o har rangaa. ||2||
One who meets the Guru imbued with God’s love, has all his desires fulfilled.||2||
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ (ਹਰੇਕ) ਕਾਮਨਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ॥੨॥
ਨਾਮ ਖਜਾਨਾ ਭਗਤੀ ਪਾਇਆ ਮਨ ਤਨ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਘਾਏ ॥
naam khajaanaa bhagtee paa-i-aa man tan taripat aghaa-ay.
The devotees who have attained the treasure of Naam, have their minds and bodies fully satiated.
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਤਨ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਲੋਂ ਰੱਜ ਗਏ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਤਾ ਕਉ ਦੇਵੈ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਮਨਾਏ ॥੩॥੧੨॥੧੩੩॥
naanak har jee-o taa ka-o dayvai jaa ka-o hukam manaa-ay. ||3||12||133||
O’ Nanak, God bestows the treasure of Naam only on those whom He inspires to live by His command. ||3||12||133||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਇਹ ਨਾਮ-ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥੧੨॥੧੩੩॥

ਦਇਆ ਮਇਆ ਕਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਨਪਤਿ ਮੋਰੇ ਮੋਹਿ ਅਨਾਥ ਸਰਣਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੋਰੀ ॥
da-i-aa ma-i-aa kar paraanpat moray mohi anaath saran parabh toree.
O’ the Master of my life, have mercy on me. I am helpless and seek Your refuge.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ! (ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ) ਦਇਆ ਕਰ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਅਨਾਥ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ।
ਅੰਧ ਕੂਪ ਮਹਿ ਹਾਥ ਦੇ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਕਛੂ ਸਿਆਨਪ ਉਕਤਿ ਨ ਮੋਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
anDh koop meh haath day raakho kachhoo si-aanap ukat na moree. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Please pull me out of the deep dark well of worldly attachments. My wisdom of any kind is not going to help.||1||Pause||
ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਖੂਹ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲੈ। ਮੇਰੀ ਕੋਈ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਤੇ ਦਲੀਲ ਇਥੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੱਲ ਸਕਦੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ll
ਕਰਨ ਕਰਾਵਨ ਸਭ ਕਿਛੁ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਤੁਮ ਸਮਰਥ ਨਾਹੀ ਅਨ ਹੋਰੀ ॥
karan karaavan sabh kichh tum hee tum samrath naahee an horee.
You are the doer and cause of everything. No one but You are capable of doing it all..
ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ, ਕਰਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹਰੇਕ ਤਾਕਤ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇਰੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਦੂਜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਤੁਮਰੀ ਗਤਿ ਮਿਤਿ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਜਾਨੀ ਸੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਜਿਨ ਭਾਗ ਮਥੋਰੀ ॥੧॥
tumree gat mit tum hee jaanee say sayvak jin bhaag mathoree. ||1||
You alone know Your powers. Those who are predestined (based on previous deeds) become your devotees.||1||
ਤੂੰ ਕਿਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ ਤੂੰ ਕੇਡਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈਂ-ਇਹ ਭੇਦ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ (ਤੇਰੀ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਦੇ) ਭਾਗ ਜਾਗਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
ਅਪੁਨੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੁਮ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਰਾਤੇ ਓਤਿ ਪੋਤਿ ਭਗਤਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਜੋਰੀ ॥
apunay sayvak sang tum parabh raatay ot pot bhagtan sang joree.
O’ God, You are imbued with the love of Your devotees; Spiritually, You are always with Your devotees through and through.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਆਪਣੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਇਉਂ ਜੋੜੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤਾਣੇ ਪੇਟੇ ਵਿਚ ਧਾਗੇ ਮਿਲੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਪ੍ਰਿਉ ਪ੍ਰਿਉ ਨਾਮੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਚਾਹੈ ਜੈਸੇ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਓਹ ਚੰਦ ਚਕੋਰੀ ॥੨॥
pari-o pari-o naam tayraa darsan chaahai jaisay darisat oh chand chakoree. ||2||
O’ beloved God, Your devotee yearns for Naam and your blessed sight, like the cuckoo bird longs to see the moon. ||2||
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਚਕੋਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਚੰਦ ਵਲ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਭਗਤ ਦੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਤੇਰਾ ਭਗਤ ਤੈਨੂੰ ‘ਪਿਆਰਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ’ ਆਖ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਲੋਚਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਰਾਮ ਸੰਤ ਮਹਿ ਭੇਦੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਏਕੁ ਜਨੁ ਕਈ ਮਹਿ ਲਾਖ ਕਰੋਰੀ ॥
raam sant meh bhayd kichh naahee ayk jan ka-ee meh laakh karoree.
There is no difference between God and His saint, but such a devoted person is only one in millions.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੰਤ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ, ਪਰ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕਈ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਇੱਕ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਹੀਐ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਹੋਆ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਰਸਨ ਰਮੋਰੀ ॥੩॥
jaa kai hee-ai pargat parabh ho-aa an-din keertan rasan ramoree. ||3||
One whose heart is illuminated by God, always sings His praises. ||3||
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਰਕਾਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜੀਭ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਤੁਮ ਸਮਰਥ ਅਪਾਰ ਅਤਿ ਊਚੇ ਸੁਖਦਾਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਅਧੋਰੀ ॥
tum samrath apaar at oochay sukh-daatay parabh paraan aDhoree.
O’ God, You are all-powerful, infinite, highest of the high, giver of peace and the support of life.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ! ਹੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਉੱਚੇ! ਹੇ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ! ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈਂ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀਜੈ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਉਨ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਸੰਗੋਰੀ ॥੪॥੧੩॥੧੩੪॥
naanak ka-o parabh keejai kirpaa un santan kai sang sangoree. ||4||13||134||
O’ God, Please show mercy on Nanak that he may always stay in the company of saints.||4||13||134||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਨਾਨਕ ਉਤੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਰਹੇ ॥੪॥੧੩॥੧੩੪॥
