ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਮਦ ਮਤਸਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਬਿਨਸਿ ਜਾਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਉਚਾਰੀ ॥
kaam kroDh mad matsar tarisnaa binas jaahi har naam uchaaree.
Lust, anger, egotism, jealousy and worldly desire vanish by lovingly remembering God’s Name.
ਹਰੀ-ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਿਆਂ ਕਾਮ, ਕ੍ਰੋਧ, ਅਹੰਕਾਰ, ਈਰਖਾ ਤੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ-ਇਹ ਸਭ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਇਸਨਾਨ ਦਾਨ ਤਾਪਨ ਸੁਚਿ ਕਿਰਿਆ ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਧਾਰੀ ॥
isnaan daan taapan such kiri-aa charan kamal hirdai parabh Dhaaree.
Therefore, instead of bathing at holy places, giving charities, penances, piety, and good deeds, I have enshrined God’s immaculate Name in my heart.
(ਤੀਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ) ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਨੇ, (ਓਥੇ) ਦਾਨ ਕਰਨੇ, ਤਪ ਸਾਧਣੇ ਤੇ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਸੁੱਚ ਦੇ ਕਰਮ-(ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ) ਅਸਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਧਾਰ ਲਏ ਹਨ।
ਸਾਜਨ ਮੀਤ ਸਖਾ ਹਰਿ ਬੰਧਪ ਜੀਅ ਧਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਅਧਾਰੀ ॥
saajan meet sakhaa har banDhap jee-a Dhaan parabh paraan aDhaaree.
God is my friend, companion, well-wisher, relative, the giver of life and support of my breath.
ਹਰੀ ਸਾਡਾ ਸੱਜਣ ਹੈ, ਮਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ, ਸਖਾ ਤੇ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਹੈ; ਸਾਡੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਧਾਰ ਹੈ।
ਓਟ ਗਹੀ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਮਰਥਹ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਸਦਾ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥੯॥
ot gahee su-aamee samartheh naanak daas sadaa balihaaree. ||9||
I have sought the support of the omnipotent God, His devotee Nanak is always dedicated to Him. ||9||
ਅਸਾਂ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੀ ਓਟ ਪਕੜੀ ਹੈ, ਨਾਨਕ (ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਦਾਸ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਕੇ ਹੈ ॥੯॥
ਆਵਧ ਕਟਿਓ ਨ ਜਾਤ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰਸ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਸੰਗਿ ॥
aavaDh kati-o na jaat paraym ras charan kamal sang.
Becoming attached to God’s immaculate Name, one who has tasted the delight of His love cannot be harmed by any weapon
(ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ) ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਦ (ਚੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ) ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਢਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਦਾਵਨਿ ਬੰਧਿਓ ਨ ਜਾਤ ਬਿਧੇ ਮਨ ਦਰਸ ਮਗਿ ॥.
daavan banDhi-o na jaat biDhay man daras mag.
One whose mind is focused on the way to God’s blessed vision, cannot be tied by any rope (cannot be stopped from proceeding down this path).
ਜਿਸ ਦਾ) ਮਨ (ਹਰੀ ਦੇ) ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿੱਝ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਰੱਸੀ ਨਾਲ (ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਪਾਸੇ) ਬੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਪਾਵਕ ਜਰਿਓ ਨ ਜਾਤ ਰਹਿਓ ਜਨ ਧੂਰਿ ਲਗਿ ॥
paavak jari-o na jaat rahi-o jan Dhoor lag.
one who is attached to the humble service and teachings of the saints cannot be burned by fire (cannot be misled by any evils).
(ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨ ਧੂੜ ਵਿਚ ਲੱਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਅੱਗ ਸਾੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ;
ਨੀਰੁ ਨ ਸਾਕਸਿ ਬੋਰਿ ਚਲਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਪੰਥਿ ਪਗਿ ॥
neer na saakas bor chaleh har panth pag.
One who walks on the path to God cannot be drowned by water (worldly desires).
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ) ਪੈਰ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਵਲ ਤੁਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਡੋਬ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਰੋਗ ਦੋਖ ਅਘ ਮੋਹ ਛਿਦੇ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਖਗਿ ॥੧॥੧੦॥
naanak rog dokh agh moh chhiday har naam khag. ||1||10||
O’ Nanak, all kinds of maladies, blemishes, sins, and worldly attachments are destroyed by the arrow of God’s Name. ||1||10||.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ) ਰੋਗ, ਦੋਖ, ਪਾਪ ਅਤੇ ਮੋਹ-ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ-ਰੂਪੀ ਤੀਰ ਨਾਲ ਕੱਟੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥੧੦॥
ਉਦਮੁ ਕਰਿ ਲਾਗੇ ਬਹੁ ਭਾਤੀ ਬਿਚਰਹਿ ਅਨਿਕ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਬਹੁ ਖਟੂਆ ॥
udam kar laagay baho bhaatee bichrahi anik saastar baho khatoo-aa.
Several people are engaged in many kinds of special efforts and greatly reflect on the six shastras.
ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕਈ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਦਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਛੀ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਿਚਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ
ਭਸਮ ਲਗਾਇ ਤੀਰਥ ਬਹੁ ਭ੍ਰਮਤੇ ਸੂਖਮ ਦੇਹ ਬੰਧਹਿ ਬਹੁ ਜਟੂਆ ॥
bhasam lagaa-ay tirath baho bharamtay sookham dayh banDheh baho jatoo-aa.
Smearing their bodies with ashes, many people roam around holy places, make their body lean, and bind their hair into matted locks,
ਪਿੰਡੇ ਤੇ ਸੁਆਹ ਮਲ ਕੇ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੀਰਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਭੌਂਦੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਬੰਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ (ਸੀਸ ਉਤੇ) ਜਟਾਂ ਧਾਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।
ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਭਜਨ ਸਗਲ ਦੁਖ ਪਾਵਤ ਜਿਉ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਬਢਾਇ ਸੂਤ ਕੇ ਹਟੂਆ ॥.
bin har bhajan sagal dukh paavat ji-o paraym badhaa-ay soot kay hatoo-aa.
but without remembering God, they all endure misery: Just as a silkworm spins a cocoon with joy and then gets caught in it;
ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਲੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ, ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਦੁੱਖ ਪਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ; ਜਿਵੇਂ (ਕਹਣਾ) ਬੜੇ ਮਜ਼ੇ ਨਾਲ ਤਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਾਲ ਤਣਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਫਸ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ)
ਪੂਜਾ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਕਰਤ ਸੋਮਪਾਕਾ ਅਨਿਕ ਭਾਂਤਿ ਥਾਟਹਿ ਕਰਿ ਥਟੂਆ ॥੨॥੧੧॥੨੦॥
poojaa chakar karat sompaakaa anik bhaaNt thaateh kar thatoo-aa. ||2||11||20||
similarly these people get caught in the web of their own deeds, such as worship ceremonies, making ritual marks on their bodies, cooking their own food, and making many other pompous shows. ||2||11||20||.
ਕਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ; ਸਰੀਰ ਤੇ ਚੱਕ੍ਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿੰਨ੍ਹ ਲਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਸੁੱਚ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ) ਆਪਣੀ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਰੋਟੀ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਬਣਤਰ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥੧੧॥੨੦॥

Swaiyas In Praise Of The First Guru:
ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਉਚਾਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਵਈਏ।
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik-oNkaar satgur parsaad.
One eternal God, realized by the grace of the True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਕ ਮਨਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਧਿਆਇ ਬਰਦਾਤਾ ॥
ik man purakh Dhi-aa-ay bardaataa.
By lovingly remembering, with focused mind, that God who is the bestower of blessings,
ਉਸ ਆਕਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਇਕਾਗਰ ਮਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ, ਜੋ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ,
ਸੰਤ ਸਹਾਰੁ ਸਦਾ ਬਿਖਿਆਤਾ ॥.
sant sahaar sadaa bikhi-aataa.
the support of the saints, and is always present with us;
ਜੋ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਸਦਾ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ-ਨਾਜ਼ਰ ਹੈ,
ਤਾਸੁ ਚਰਨ ਲੇ ਰਿਦੈ ਬਸਾਵਉ ॥
taas charan lay ridai basaava-o.
I enshrine His immaculate Name in my heart,
ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ,
ਤਉ ਪਰਮ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਉ ॥੧॥
ta-o param guroo naanak gun gaava-o. ||1||
and then I sing praises of Guru Nanak, the supreme Guru. ||1||
ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥
ਗਾਵਉ ਗੁਨ ਪਰਮ ਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਦੁਰਤ ਨਿਵਾਰਣ ਸਬਦ ਸਰੇ ॥
gaava-o gun param guroo sukh saagar durat nivaaran sabad saray.
I sing praises of that supreme Guru who is the ocean of the inner peace, the destroyer of sins and the source divine words.
ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਪਰਮ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜੋ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਬਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ ਹੈ।
ਗਾਵਹਿ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਧੀਰ ਮਤਿ ਸਾਗਰ ਜੋਗੀ ਜੰਗਮ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਧਰੇ ॥.
gaavahi gambheer Dheer mat saagar jogee jangam Dhi-aan Dharay.
The yogis, the wandering saints and human beings who are sober, patient and extremely wise, sing of his praises with full concentration of mind.
ਜੋਗੀ, ਜੰਗਮ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਜੋ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਧੀਰਜਵਾਨ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਉੱਚੀ ਮਤ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰ ਕੇ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਗਾਵਹਿ ਇੰਦ੍ਰਾਦਿ ਭਗਤ ਪ੍ਰਹਿਲਾਦਿਕ ਆਤਮ ਰਸੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਜਾਣਿਓ ॥
gaavahi indraad bhagat par-hilaadik aatam ras jin jaani-o.
The gods like Indira and devotees like Prehlaad sing praises of Guru Nanak whohas understood the spiritual bliss.
ਜਿਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੰਦਰ ਆਦਿਕ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਹਿਲਾਦ ਆਦਿਕ ਭਗਤ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਕਬਿ ਕਲ ਸੁਜਸੁ ਗਾਵਉ ਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਰਾਜੁ ਜੋਗੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਮਾਣਿਓ ॥੨॥
kab kal sujas gaava-o gur naanak raaj jog jin maani-o. ||2||
The poet Kall says, I sing the sublime praises of Guru Nanak who has enjoyed both, the temporal and the spiritual kingdom. ||2||
ਕਲ੍ਯ੍ਯ’ ਕਵੀ (ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ),-ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਰਾਜ ਤੇ ਜੋਗ ਮਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਗਾਵਹਿ ਜਨਕਾਦਿ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਜੋਗੇਸੁਰ ਹਰਿ ਰਸ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਰਬ ਕਲਾ ॥
gaavahi jankaad jugat jogaysur har ras pooran sarab kalaa.
Kings like Janak and great yogis who know the way to God sing praises of Guru Nanak who is totally imbued with the elixir of God’s Name, and has all powers.
ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਰਸ ਵਿਚ ਭਿੱਜਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਸੱਤਿਆ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਕ ਆਦਿਕ ਵੱਡੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਜੋਗੀਆਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਗਾਵਹਿ ਸਨਕਾਦਿ ਸਾਧ ਸਿਧਾਦਿਕ ਮੁਨਿ ਜਨ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਅਛਲ ਛਲਾ ॥.
gaavahi sankaad saaDh siDhaadik mun jan gaavahi achhal chhalaa.
Saints like Sanak, the adepts and the sages sing praises of Guru Nanak, who cannot be deceived by Maya, the worldly riches and power.
ਜਿਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਛਲ ਸਕੀ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸਨਕ ਆਦਿਕ ਸਾਧ ਤੇ ਸਿੱਧ ਆਦਿਕ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਗਾਵੈ ਗੁਣ ਧੋਮੁ ਅਟਲ ਮੰਡਲਵੈ ਭਗਤਿ ਭਾਇ ਰਸੁ ਜਾਣਿਓ ॥
gaavai gun Dhom atal mandlavai bhagat bhaa-ay ras jaani-o.
Dhoma the seer and devotees like Dhru, sing Praises of Guru Nanak, who knows the bliss of loving devotional worship of God.
ਜਿਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ ਭਗਤੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਭਾਵ ਦੁਆਰਾ (ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ) ਆਨੰਦ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧੋਮੁ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਧ੍ਰੂ ਭਗਤ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਬਿ ਕਲ ਸੁਜਸੁ ਗਾਵਉ ਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਰਾਜੁ ਜੋਗੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਮਾਣਿਓ ॥੩॥
kab kal sujas gaava-o gur naanak raaj jog jin maani-o. ||3||

ਕਲ੍ਯ੍ਯ ਕਵੀ (ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ)-‘ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਰਾਜ ਤੇ ਜੋਗ ਮਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ’ ॥੩॥
ਗਾਵਹਿ ਕਪਿਲਾਦਿ ਆਦਿ ਜੋਗੇਸੁਰ ਅਪਰੰਪਰ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਵਰੋ ॥
gaavahi kapilaad aad jogaysur aprampar avtaar varo.
Sages like Kapil and primal yogis sing praises of Guru Nanak, the most sublime incarnation of God.
ਕਪਿਲ ਆਦਿਕ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਰਾਤਨ ਵੱਡੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਜੋਗੀ ਜਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਿਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੂੰ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਗਾਵੈ ਜਮਦਗਨਿ ਪਰਸਰਾਮੇਸੁਰ ਕਰ ਕੁਠਾਰੁ ਰਘੁ ਤੇਜੁ ਹਰਿਓ ॥.
gaavai jamadgan parasraamaysur kar kuthaar ragh tayj hari-o.
Parasram the son of Jamdagan, whose axe and powers were taken away by god Rama, sings praises of Guru Nanak.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇ ਜਸ ਨੂੰ) ਜਮਦਗਨਿ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪਰਸਰਾਮ ਭੀ ਗਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਦਾ ਕੁਹਾੜਾ ਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਚੰਦਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਖੋਹ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਉਧੌ ਅਕ੍ਰੂਰੁ ਬਿਦਰੁ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਸਰਬਾਤਮੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਜਾਣਿਓ ॥
uDhou akroor bidar gun gaavai sarbaatam jin jaani-o.
The devotees Oodho, Akoor and Bidar sing praises of Guru Nanak who realized the supreme God.
ਜਿਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ (ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ), ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਉਧੌ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਕ੍ਰੂਰੁ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਬਿਦਰ ਭਗਤ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਬਿ ਕਲ ਸੁਜਸੁ ਗਾਵਉ ਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਰਾਜੁ ਜੋਗੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਮਾਣਿਓ ॥੪॥
kab kal sujas gaava-o gur naanak raaj jog jin maani-o. ||4||
The poet Kall says, I sing the sublime praises of Guru Nanak who has enjoyed both the worldly kingdom and spiritual kingdom (union with God). ||4||
ਕਲ੍ਯ੍ਯ ਕਵੀ (ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ)-‘ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਜਸ ਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਰਾਜ ਤੇ ਜੋਗ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਮਾਣੇ ਹਨ’ ॥੪॥
