ਜਹ ਸੇਵਕ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਗੁਸਾਈ ॥
jah sayvak gopaal gusaa-ee.
where reside the devotees of the Master-God, the protector of the universe.
ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੇ ਰੱਖਿਅਕ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ-ਜਨ (ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ)।
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੁਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਭਏ ਗੋਪਾਲ ॥
parabh suparsan bha-ay gopaal.
Those upon whom God, the master of the world, becomes very pleased,
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਗਤ-ਰੱਖਿਅਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਤ੍ਰੁੱਠਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਮਿਟੇ ਬਿਤਾਲ ॥੫॥
janam janam kay mitay bitaal. ||5||
the effect of their bad deeds done birth after birth is erased. ||5||
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੇ-ਥਵ੍ਹੇ-ਪਨ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੫॥
ਹੋਮ ਜਗ ਉਰਧ ਤਪ ਪੂਜਾ ॥
hom jag uraDh tap poojaa.
Consider as if one has performed all kinds of sacrificial feasts, devotional worships, penances by hanging upside down,
(ਉਸ ਨੇ, ਮਾਨੋ, ਅਨੇਕਾਂ) ਹੋਮ ਜੱਗ (ਕਰ ਲਏ। ਉਸ ਨੇ, ਮਾਨੋ,) ਉਲਟੇ ਲਟਕ ਕੇ ਤਪ (ਕਰ ਲਏ। ਉਸ ਨੇ, ਮਾਨੋ, ਦੇਵ) ਪੂਜਾ (ਕਰ ਲਈ),
ਕੋਟਿ ਤੀਰਥ ਇਸਨਾਨੁ ਕਰੀਜਾ ॥
kot tirath isnaan kareejaa.
and as if he has bathed at millions of holy places,
ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਤੀਰਥਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ,
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਨਿਮਖ ਰਿਦੈ ਧਾਰੇ ॥
charan kamal nimakh ridai Dhaaray.
who has enshrined God’s immaculate Name in the heart even for an instant.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਨਿਮਖ ਭਰ ਲਈ ਟਿਕਾ ਲਏ l
ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਜਪਤ ਸਭਿ ਕਾਰਜ ਸਾਰੇ ॥੬॥
gobind japat sabh kaaraj saaray. ||6||
O’ brother, that person gets all his tasks accomplished while lovingly remembering God, the master of the universe. ||6||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਿਆਂ (ਅਪਣੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਸੰਵਾਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੬॥
ਊਚੇ ਤੇ ਊਚਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਥਾਨੁ ॥
oochay tay oochaa parabh thaan.
God’s abode (status) is the highest of the high,
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਉੱਚਾ ਹੈ ।
ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਲਾਵਹਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਧਿਆਨੁ ॥
har jan laaveh sahj Dhi-aan.
God’s devotees remain focused on Him in a state of spiritual poise.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ (ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ) ਸੁਰਤ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਦਾਸ ਦਾਸਨ ਕੀ ਬਾਂਛਉ ਧੂਰਿ ॥
daas daasan kee baaNchha-o Dhoor.
I crave for the dust of the feet (the most humble service and advice) of the servants of the devotees of that God,
ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨ-ਧੂੜ ਮੈਂ (ਭੀ) ਲੋਚਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ,
ਸਰਬ ਕਲਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥੭॥
sarab kalaa pareetam bharpoor. ||7||
who is all powerful, all pervading and is the beloved of all. ||7||
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਭ ਥਾਈਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ ॥੭॥
ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਨੇਰਾ ॥
maat pitaa har pareetam nayraa.
O’ God! You are my mother, father, and most dear and You are always near me.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ ਹੈਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਉ ਹੈਂ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਹੈਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ,
ਮੀਤ ਸਾਜਨ ਭਰਵਾਸਾ ਤੇਰਾ ॥
meet saajan bharvaasaa tayraa.
You are my friend and companion, and I depend only on Your support.
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਹੈਂ, ਮੇਰਾ ਸੱਜਣ ਹੈਂ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਰੁ ਗਹਿ ਲੀਨੇ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਦਾਸ ॥
kar geh leenay apunay daas.
O’ God, extending support, You have accepted many devotees as Your own.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ) ਹੱਥ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਣਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਜਪਿ ਜੀਵੈ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਗੁਣਤਾਸ ॥੮॥੩॥੨॥੭॥੧੨॥
jap jeevai naanak guntaas. ||8||3||2||7||12||
O’ God, the treasure of virtues, Nanak remains spiritually alive by remembering You with adoration. ||8||3||2||7||12||

ਰਾਗ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਤੀ/ਬਿਭਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਗਤ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ।
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik-oNkaar satgur parsaad.
One eternal God, realized by the grace of the True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਮਰਨ ਜੀਵਨ ਕੀ ਸੰਕਾ ਨਾਸੀ ॥
maran jeevan kee sankaa naasee.
The anxiety about birth and death of that person vanishes,
(ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ) ਇਹ ਤੌਖਲਾ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਣਾ ਪਏਗਾ,
ਆਪਨ ਰੰਗਿ ਸਹਜ ਪਰਗਾਸੀ ॥੧॥
aapan rang sahj pargaasee. ||1||
within whom God, by His own grace, revealed the state of spiritual poise. ||1||
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕੀਤੀ ॥੧॥
ਪ੍ਰਗਟੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਟਿਆ ਅੰਧਿਆਰਾ ॥
pargatee jot miti-aa anDhi-aaraa.
The divine light manifested and darkness of spiritual ignorance of that person got dispelled,
(ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਜਗ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤੇ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਆਦਿਕਾਂ ਦਾ) ਹਨੇਰਾ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਰਾਮ ਰਤਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਕਰਤ ਬੀਚਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
raam ratan paa-i-aa karat beechaaraa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
who realized the priceless Name of God while reflecting on the Guru’s divine word. ||1||Pause||
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਰਤਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਜਹ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਦੂਰਿ ਪਇਆਨਾ ॥
jah anand dukh door pa-i-aanaa.
That mind, in which spiritual bliss wells up and all kinds of sorrow goes away,
ਜਿਸ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਮੇਲ ਦਾ) ਅਨੰਦ ਬਣ ਜਾਏ ਤੇ (ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਾਲਾ) ਦੁੱਖ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਏ,
ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਕੁ ਲਿਵ ਤਤੁ ਲੁਕਾਨਾ ॥੨॥
man maanak liv tat lukaanaa. ||2||
becomes valuable like a jewel by focusing on God and then God’ Name enshrines within. ||2||
ਉਹ ਮਨ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਜੁੜਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਮੋਤੀ (ਵਰਗਾ ਕੀਮਤੀ) ਬਣ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਸਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਹੋਆ ਸੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਾਣਾ ॥
jo kichh ho-aa so tayraa bhaanaa.
O’ God, whatever happens is according to Your will,
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਤੇਰੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ,
ਜੋ ਇਵ ਬੂਝੈ ਸੁ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਣਾ ॥੩॥
jo iv boojhai so sahj samaanaa. ||3||
and the one who understands this remains in a state of spiritual poise. ||3||
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸੂਝ ਪੈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦਾ ਅਡੋਲ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਕਹਤੁ ਕਬੀਰੁ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਗਏ ਖੀਣਾ ॥
kahat kabeer kilbikh ga-ay kheenaa.
Kabir says, all the sins of that person vanish,
ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪਾਪ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਮਨੁ ਭਇਆ ਜਗਜੀਵਨ ਲੀਣਾ ॥੪॥੧॥
man bha-i-aa jagjeevan leenaa. ||4||1||
whose mind remains absorbed in God, the life of the world. ||4||1||
ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਜਗਤ-ਦੇ-ਜੀਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਮਗਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧॥

ਅਲਹੁ ਏਕੁ ਮਸੀਤਿ ਬਸਤੁ ਹੈ ਅਵਰੁ ਮੁਲਖੁ ਕਿਸੁ ਕੇਰਾ ॥
alhu ayk maseet basat hai avar mulakh kis kayraa.
If (as per Muslim belief) Allah lives only in the mosque, then to whom does the rest of the world belong?
ਜੇ ਉਹ ਇਕ ਖ਼ੁਦਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਕਾਹਬੇ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਬਾਕੀ ਦਾ ਮੁਲਕ ਕਿਸ ਦਾ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਏ?
ਹਿੰਦੂ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਨਾਮ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਦੁਹ ਮਹਿ ਤਤੁ ਨ ਹੇਰਾ ॥੧॥
hindoo moorat naam nivaasee duh meh tat na hayraa. ||1||
And the Hindus believe that God resides in an idol, (it means) both of them have not realized God, the essence of truth. ||1||
ਹਿੰਦੂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ; (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ) ਦੋਹਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ॥੧॥
ਅਲਹ ਰਾਮ ਜੀਵਉ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਈ ॥
alah raam jeeva-o tayray naa-ee.
O’ God, the Allah and the Raam, I remain spiritually alive by lovingly remembering You as One.
ਹੇ ਅੱਲਾਹ! ਹੇ ਰਾਮ! (ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਹੀ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ) ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਾਂ)
ਤੂ ਕਰਿ ਮਿਹਰਾਮਤਿ ਸਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

O’ my Master-God, please bestow mercy on me. ||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਸਾਈਂ! ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਦਖਨ ਦੇਸਿ ਹਰੀ ਕਾ ਬਾਸਾ ਪਛਿਮਿ ਅਲਹ ਮੁਕਾਮਾ ॥
dakhan days haree kaa baasaa pachhim alah mukaamaa.
The Hindus believe that God’s abode is in Jagan Nath in the south of the country, but the Muslims believe that God is stationed in Mecca in the west.
(ਹਿੰਦੂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਦੱਖਣ ਦੇਸ ਵਿਚ (ਜਗਨ ਨਾਥ ਪੁਰੀ ਵਿਚ) ਹੈ, ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਖ਼ੁਦਾ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਪੱਛਮ ਵਲ (ਕਾਹਬੇ ਵਿਚ) ਹੈ।
ਦਿਲ ਮਹਿ ਖੋਜਿ ਦਿਲੈ ਦਿਲਿ ਖੋਜਹੁ ਏਹੀ ਠਉਰ ਮੁਕਾਮਾ ॥੨॥
dil meh khoj dilai dil khojahu ayhee tha-ur mukaamaa. ||2||
(But O’ my friend), look into your heart and search Him only in your heart, because this is the only place where God lives. ||2||
(ਪਰ ਹੇ ਸੱਜਣ!) ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿਚ (ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ) ਭਾਲ, ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਦਿਲ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਲੱਭ, ਇਹ ਦਿਲ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਥਾਂ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੁਕਾਮ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਨ ਗਿਆਸ ਕਰਹਿ ਚਉਬੀਸਾ ਕਾਜੀ ਮਹ ਰਮਜਾਨਾ ॥
barahman gi-aas karahi cha-ubeesaa kaajee mah ramjaanaa.
The Brahmins observe fasts on each 11th lunar day, ie twenty four times in a year, and Qazi, the muslim priest fasts during the entire month of Ramadan.
ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਚੌਵੀ ਇਕਾਦਸ਼ੀਆਂ (ਦੇ ਵਰਤ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ) ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਕਾਜ਼ੀ ਰਮਜ਼ਾਨ ਦੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ (ਰੋਜ਼ੇ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਹਿਦਾਇਤ) ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਗਿਆਰਹ ਮਾਸ ਪਾਸ ਕੈ ਰਾਖੇ ਏਕੈ ਮਾਹਿ ਨਿਧਾਨਾ ॥੩॥
gi-aareh maas paas kai raakhay aykai maahi niDhaanaa. ||3||
They put eleven months aside (don’t observe any faith discipline) and try to find the treasure of God’s Name just in one month. ||3||
ਇਹ ਲੋਕ (ਬਾਕੀ ਦੇ) ਗਿਆਰਾਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਲਾਂਭੇ ਹੀ ਰੱਖ ਦੇਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੇ (ਕੋਈ) ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਇੱਕੋ ਹੀ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਲੱਭਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
ਕਹਾ ਉਡੀਸੇ ਮਜਨੁ ਕੀਆ ਕਿਆ ਮਸੀਤਿ ਸਿਰੁ ਨਾਂਏਂ ॥
kahaa udeesay majan kee-aa ki-aa maseet sir naaN-ayN.
What is the use of bathing at (Jagan-Nath) temple in Orissa-India and bowing heads in the mosque?
ਹਿੰਦੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਨ ਨਾਥ ਉੜੀਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਲਾਭ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਸਜਿਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀਸ ਨਿਵਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਲਾਭ?
ਦਿਲ ਮਹਿ ਕਪਟੁ ਨਿਵਾਜ ਗੁਜਾਰੈ ਕਿਆ ਹਜ ਕਾਬੈ ਜਾਂਏਂ ॥੪॥
dil meh kapat nivaaj gujaarai ki-aa haj kaabai jaaN-ayN. ||4||
If one has deception in his heart, then what good is it for him to utter prayers and what good is the pilgrimage to Mecca? ||4||
ਜੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿਚ ਠੱਗੀ ਫ਼ਰੇਬ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਤਾਂ) ਨਮਾਜ਼ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਹਬੇ ਦਾ ਹੱਜ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਲਾਭ ਹੈ? ॥੪॥
ਏਤੇ ਅਉਰਤ ਮਰਦਾ ਸਾਜੇ ਏ ਸਭ ਰੂਪ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰੇ ॥
aytay a-urat mardaa saajay ay sabh roop tumHaaray.
O’ God! all these women and men, whom You have created, are all Your images.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਮਰਦ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ, ਇਹ ਸਭ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਰੂਪ ਹਨ ।
ਕਬੀਰੁ ਪੂੰਗਰਾ ਰਾਮ ਅਲਹ ਕਾ ਸਭ ਗੁਰ ਪੀਰ ਹਮਾਰੇ ॥੫॥
kabeer poongraa raam alah kaa sabh gur peer hamaaray. ||5||
Kabir is a young innocent child of God, both Allah and Ram, and I deem all the Guru’s and the prophets as mine. ||5||
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਅੱਲਾਹ ਹੈਂ ਤੇ ਰਾਮ ਹੈਂ। ਮੈਂ ਕਬੀਰ ਤੇਰਾ ਅੰਞਾਣ ਬੱਚਾ ਹਾਂ, (ਤੇਰੇ ਭੇਜੇ ਹੋਏ) ਅਵਤਾਰ ਪੈਗ਼ੰਬਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੫॥
ਕਹਤੁ ਕਬੀਰੁ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਨਰ ਨਰਵੈ ਪਰਹੁ ਏਕ ਕੀ ਸਰਨਾ ॥
kahat kabeer sunhu nar narvai parahu ayk kee sarnaa.
Kabir says, listen: O’ men and women, seek the refuge of the One (God).
ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹੇ ਨਰ ਨਾਰੀਓ! ਸੁਣੋ, ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਪਵੋ (ਉਹੀ ਅੱਲਾਹ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਰਾਮ ਹੈ)।3ੂ
ਕੇਵਲ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਹੁ ਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਨਿਹਚੈ ਤਰਨਾ ॥੬॥੨॥
kayval naam japahu ray paraanee tab hee nihchai tarnaa. ||6||2||
O’ people, always remember God with adoration, only then You would surely swim across the world-ocean of vices. ||6||2||
ਹੇ ਬੰਦਿਓ! ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਨਾਮ ਜਪੋ, ਯਕੀਨ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣੋ, ਤਾਂ ਹੀ (ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਾਗਰ ਤੋਂ) ਤਰ ਸਕੋਗੇ ॥੬॥੨॥

ਅਵਲਿ ਅਲਹ ਨੂਰੁ ਉਪਾਇਆ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਕੇ ਸਭ ਬੰਦੇ ॥
aval alah noor upaa-i-aa kudrat kay sabh banday.
First of all, God revealed Himself as the supreme light, and then created all the beings from that supreme light
ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਖ਼ੁਦਾ ਦਾ ਨੂਰ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ (ਜਗਤ) ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਅ-ਜੰਤ ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਕੁਦਰਤ ਦੇ ਹੀ ਬਣਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
ਏਕ ਨੂਰ ਤੇ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਉਪਜਿਆ ਕਉਨ ਭਲੇ ਕੋ ਮੰਦੇ ॥੧॥
ayk noor tay sabh jag upji-aa ka-un bhalay ko manday. ||1||
The entire world welled up from the same supreme light then whom can we call good and who is bad? ||1||
ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਜੋਤ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਕੌਣ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਕੌਣ ਮੰਦਾ ਹੈ? ॥੧॥
