ਅੰਧ ਕੂਪ ਤੇ ਕੰਢੈ ਚਾੜੇ ॥
anDh koop tay kandhai chaarhay.
You pull Your devotees out of the blind deep well of worldly entanglements.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਖੂਹ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੰਢੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦਾਸ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲੇ ॥
kar kirpaa daas nadar nihaalay.
Showering Your Mercy, You bless Your servant with Your Glance of Grace.
ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਕਹਿ ਸੁਣਿ ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਆਵਣਿਆ ॥੪॥
gun gaavahi pooran abhinaasee kahi sun tot na aavani-aa. ||4||
They continue singing praises of the all-perfect imperishable God, to which there is no end or limit.
ਉਹ ਸੇਵਕ ਅਬਿਨਾਸ਼ੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਆਖਣ ਤੇ ਸੁਣਨ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਖ਼ਾਤਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ।
ਐਥੈ ਓਥੈ ਤੂੰਹੈ ਰਖਵਾਲਾ ॥
aithai othai tooNhai rakhvaalaa.
O’ God, You alone are the protector of all in this and the next world.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ (ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ) ਰਾਖਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਮਾਤ ਗਰਭ ਮਹਿ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਪਾਲਾ ॥
maat garabh meh tum hee paalaa.
In the mother’s womb too, You are the cherisher.
ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੇਟ ਵਿਚ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ) ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਮਾਇਆ ਅਗਨਿ ਨ ਪੋਹੈ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਤੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੫॥
maa-i-aa agan na pohai tin ka-o rang ratay gun gaavani-aa. ||5||
The fire of maya (worldly entanglements) does not affect those who, imbued with your love keep singing Your praises.
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ (ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ) ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ, ਜੇਹੜੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ
ਕਿਆ ਗੁਣ ਤੇਰੇ ਆਖਿ ਸਮਾਲੀ ॥
ki-aa gun tayray aakh samaalee.
O’ God, I do not know on which of Your virtues I should contemplate?
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੇਹੜੇ ਕੇਹੜੇ ਗੁਣ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਾਂ?
ਮਨ ਤਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਤੁਧੁ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲੀ ॥
man tan antar tuDh nadar nihaalee.
I behold Your Presence, deep within my mind and body.
ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਤੇ ਤਨ ਵਿਚ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਵੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ।
ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਮੀਤੁ ਸਾਜਨੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤੁਧੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਜਾਨਣਿਆ ॥੬॥
tooN mayraa meet saajan mayraa su-aamee tuDh bin avar na jaanni-aa. ||6||
You are my Friend, Companion, and Master. Without You, I know none else.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈਂ। ਤੈਥੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਨੂੰ (ਤੇਰੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ) ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦਾ l
ਜਿਸ ਕਉ ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਇਆ ਸਹਾਈ ॥
jis ka-o tooN parabh bha-i-aa sahaa-ee.
O’ God, the one, whom You protect,
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਰਾਖਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ,
ਤਿਸੁ ਤਤੀ ਵਾਉ ਨ ਲਗੈ ਕਾਈ ॥
tis tatee vaa-o na lagai kaa-ee.
does not suffer from any harm.
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਦੁੱਖ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਤੂ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਸਰਣਿ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਜਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥
too saahib saran sukh-daata satsangat jap pargataavani-aa. ||7||
You are his Master, sole support, and the Giver of peace. Through worship and meditation in the company of saintly persons, You are revealed.
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਰਾਖਾ ਹੈਂ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ। ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਤੱਖ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ l
ਤੂੰ ਊਚ ਅਥਾਹੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ਅਮੋਲਾ ॥
tooN ooch athaahu apaar amolaa.
You are Exalted, Unfathomable, Infinite and Invaluable.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਬੁਲੰਦ, ਬੇ-ਥਾਹ, ਬੇਅੰਤ ਅਤੇ ਅਨਮੋਲ ਹੈ।
ਤੂੰ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਦਾਸੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਗੋਲਾ ॥
tooN saachaa saahib daas tayraa golaa.
You are the eternal Master, and I am Your devoted servant.
ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈਂ। ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸ ਹਾਂ, ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮ ਹਾਂ।
ਤੂੰ ਮੀਰਾ ਸਾਚੀ ਠਕੁਰਾਈ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੮॥੩॥੩੭॥
tooN meeraa saachee thakuraa-ee naanak bal bal jaavani-aa. ||8||3||37||
You are the true King, true is Your domain, and Nanak is a sacrifice to You again and again.
ਤੂੰ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸੱਚੀ ਹੈ ਤੇਰੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ। ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇਰੇ ਉਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਘੋਲੀ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Maajh Raag, by the Fifth Guru, Second Beat:
ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਦਯੁ ਸਮਾਲੀਐ ॥
nit nit da-yu samaalee-ai.
Always enshrine the merciful God in your Heart.
ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਤਰਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਮੂਲਿ ਨ ਮਨਹੁ ਵਿਸਾਰੀਐ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
mool na manhu visaaree-ai. rahaa-o.
Never forget Him from your mind.
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਤੋਂ ਭੁਲਾਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।
ਸੰਤਾ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪਾਈਐ ॥
santaa sangat paa-ee-ai.
It is in the company of the saintly persons God is realized,
ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਿਹਾਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਤੁ ਜਮ ਕੈ ਪੰਥਿ ਨ ਜਾਈਐ ॥
jit jam kai panth na jaa-ee-ai.
by virtue of which we don’ t go down the path of spiritual death.
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਵਲ ਲੈ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਈਦਾ।
ਤੋਸਾ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਲੈ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੁਲਹਿ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਗਾਲਿ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
tosaa har kaa naam lai tayray kuleh na laagai gaal jee-o. ||1||
Take with you the provision of Naam on your journey to God’s court, so that no stigma is attached to your family name.
ਜੀਵਨ-ਸਫ਼ਰ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਖ਼ਰਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੱਲੇ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਲੈ, ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਕੁਲ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਕੋਈ ਬਦਨਾਮੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਵੇਗੀ l
ਜੋ ਸਿਮਰੰਦੇ ਸਾਂਈਐ ॥
jo simranday saaN-ee-ai.
Those who meditate on the Master,
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਖਸਮ-ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਨਰਕਿ ਨ ਸੇਈ ਪਾਈਐ ॥
narak na say-ee paa-ee-ai.
do not go through pain and suffering.
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਰਕ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ।
ਤਤੀ ਵਾਉ ਨ ਲਗਈ ਜਿਨ ਮਨਿ ਵੁਠਾ ਆਇ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
tatee vaa-o na lag-ee jin man vuthaa aa-ay jee-o. ||2||
No harm come to those in whose mind God comes to dwell.
ਜਿੰਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਦੁੱਖ-ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ l
ਸੇਈ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸੋਹਣੇ ॥
say-ee sundar sohnay.
They alone are beautiful with righteous life style,
ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ (ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲੇ) ਹਨ,
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਜਿਨ ਬੈਹਣੇ ॥
saaDhsang jin baihnay.
who dwell in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਹਣ ਖਲੋਣ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਜਿਨੀ ਸੰਜਿਆ ਸੇਈ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਅਪਾਰ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
har Dhan jinee sanji-aa say-ee gambheer apaar jee-o. ||3||
They who have earned the wealth of Naam, are extremely profound and wise.
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਧਨ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ, ਉਹ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਡੂੰਘੇ ਜਿਗਰੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ
ਹਰਿ ਅਮਿਉ ਰਸਾਇਣੁ ਪੀਵੀਐ ॥
har ami-o rasaa-in peevee-ai.
We should drink in the Ambrosial Essence of the Name,
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪੀਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ
ਮੁਹਿ ਡਿਠੈ ਜਨ ਕੈ ਜੀਵੀਐ ॥
muhi dithai jan kai jeevee-ai.
Beholding the sight of God’s servant, we obtain a new spiritual awakening.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਕਾਰਜ ਸਭਿ ਸਵਾਰਿ ਲੈ ਨਿਤ ਪੂਜਹੁ ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਪਾਵ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥
kaaraj sabh savaar lai nit poojahu gur kay paav jee-o. ||4||
By remembering and humbly following the teachings of the Guru, accomplish your task of realizing God.
ਸਦਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰ ਪੂਜ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆ ਰਹੁ, ਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਸਿਰੇ ਚਾੜ੍ਹ ਲੈ l
ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਤਾ ਆਪਣਾ ॥
jo har keetaa aapnaa.
Whom God has made His Own devotee,
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ (ਸੇਵਕ) ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ,
ਤਿਨਹਿ ਗੁਸਾਈ ਜਾਪਣਾ ॥
tineh gusaa-ee jaapnaa.
he alone will continue to meditate on the Master of the World.
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ।
ਸੋ ਸੂਰਾ ਪਰਧਾਨੁ ਸੋ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਦੈ ਭਾਗੁ ਜੀਉ ॥੫॥
so sooraa parDhaan so mastak jis dai bhaag jee-o. ||5||
The one who is blessed with good destiny, becomes a warrior against the vices, and he is acknowledged as a spiritually exalted.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉੱਤੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਦਾਤ ਦਾ) ਭਾਗ ਜਾਗ ਪਏ, ਉਹ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਟਾਕਰਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਣ ਦੇ ਸਮਰੱਥ) ਸੂਰਮਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ (ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ
ਮਨ ਮੰਧੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਵਗਾਹੀਆ ॥
man manDhay parabh avgaahee-aa.
Reflect within the minds and realize God.
ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਚੁੱਭੀ ਲਾਉ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰੋ।
ਏਹਿ ਰਸ ਭੋਗਣ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੀਆ ॥
ayhi ras bhogan paatisaahee-aa.
This itself is the enjoyment of all the nectar and princely pleasures.
ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਭੋਗ ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹੀਆਂ।
ਮੰਦਾ ਮੂਲਿ ਨ ਉਪਜਿਓ ਤਰੇ ਸਚੀ ਕਾਰੈ ਲਾਗਿ ਜੀਉ ॥੬॥
mandaa mool na upji-o taray sachee kaarai laag jee-o. ||6||
Absolutely no evil thoughts arises in their mind and by being engaged in the true task of remembering God, they cross the worldly-ocean of vices.
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਕਦੇ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ, ਉਹ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਸੱਚੀ ਕਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਲੱਗ ਕੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ
ਕਰਤਾ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਇਆ ॥
kartaa man vasaa-i-aa.
He who has enshrined the creator in the mind;
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾ ਲਿਆ,
ਜਨਮੈ ਕਾ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
janmai kaa fal paa-i-aa.
He has achieved the objective of human life
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ।
ਮਨਿ ਭਾਵੰਦਾ ਕੰਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਥਿਰੁ ਹੋਆ ਸੋਹਾਗੁ ਜੀਉ ॥੭॥
man bhaavandaa kant har tayraa thir ho-aa sohaag jee-o. ||7||
If your Husband-God is pleasing to your mind, then your union with Him has become eternal.
ਜੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕੰਤ-ਹਰੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ ਤਾਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਇਹ ਸੁਹਾਗ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ (ਤੇਰੇ ਸਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ) ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹੇਗਾ l
ਅਟਲ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
atal padaarath paa-i-aa.
They who have obtained the everlasting wealth of Naam,
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ,
ਭੈ ਭੰਜਨ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਾਇਆ ॥
bhai bhanjan kee sarnaa-i-aa.
and have come to the Sanctuary of the Dispeller of fear.
ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਡਰ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਆ ਗਏ,
ਲਾਇ ਅੰਚਲਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਾਰਿਅਨੁ ਜਿਤਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਅਪਾਰ ਜੀਉ ॥੮॥੪॥੩੮॥
laa-ay anchal naanak taari-an jitaa janam apaar jee-o. ||8||4||38||
O’ Nanak, by attaching these souls to Himself God has saved them. They have won the game of human birth.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੜ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾ ਲਿਆ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਦੀ ਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ

One eternal God. Realized by the grace of the True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਘਰੁ ੩ ॥

Maajh Raag by, the Fifth Guru, Third Beat:
ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਜਪੇ ਮਨੁ ਧੀਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har jap japay man Dheeray. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Chanting and meditating on God, the mind is held steady.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਜਪ ਕੇ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ) ਮਨ ਧੀਰਜਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਸੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਡੋਲਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ)
ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਗੁਰਦੇਉ ਮਿਟਿ ਗਏ ਭੈ ਦੂਰੇ ॥੧॥
simar simar gurday-o mit ga-ay bhai dooray. ||1||
By continuously remembering God, all fears are dispelled.
ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਅਕਾਲਪੁਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਡਰ ਸਹਮ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ
ਸਰਨਿ ਆਵੈ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੀ ਤਾ ਫਿਰਿ ਕਾਹੇ ਝੂਰੇ ॥੨॥
saran aavai paarbarahm kee taa fir kaahay jhooray. ||2||
When one comes to the shelter of God, then one need not worry at all.
ਜਦੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਝੋਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੋਹ ਸਕਦਾ
